Plans for the EU's 50th birthday party in 2007 focused on the organization's disunity

The European Union (EU) has ditched plans to hold big-style celebrations for its 50th birthday party next year and will have two limited pan-European festivals for 2007 according to officials from member states, the European Commission, and the European Parliament.

This European celebration will mark the 50th celebration of the signing of the 1957 Treaty Rome which is the basis of the EU of today, an organization of 25 member states who are at a place where the member states need to ratify their proposed constitution in order to move ahead. The fragmented EU birthday picture is evident as member states stress that participation in the year long birthday party should not be compulsory.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Even though the 50th birthday celebration for the EU is somewhat fragmented, there will be a unity of European states in the future, according to Bible prophecy.

The announcement by officials of the EU member states, the European Commission, and the European Parliament that they plan to cut back on the year long celebration of their 50th anniversary brings into focus the disunity that pervades the organization. The efforts to ratify a constitution fell apart when France and the Netherlands rejected the present constitution. Germany who will hold the presidency of the EU in 2007, the year of the 50th birthday of the organization, has already announced its priority would be to get the ratification process back on track. However, the fact that Europeans will recognize the 50th birthday celebration even as fragmented as it will be, is evidence that there is hope for a revival of the great days of European unity once seen in our world during the times of the Roman Empire.

Bible prophecy reveals that an End Times scenario includes the emergence of an old or revived Roman Empire. Daniel 7 lays out in advance the great Gentile world powers including: the Babylonian, the Medo-Persian, the Grecian, and the Roman Empires which have already come and gone as Daniel predicted. Daniel also spoke of the revival of the Roman Empire in the Last Days, that's Daniel 7:7-8, 23-24.

The 50th anniversary celebration in Europe of the signing of the Treaty of Rome to take place in 2007 is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The annual Muslim pilgrimage, the Hajj, begins as sectarian tensions increase across the Islamic world

Over 3 million Muslims from around the world marched through the desert valley outside of Mecca in Saudi Arabia on the first day of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

With the sectarian viloence across the Islamic world, the bloodshed in Iraq, the potential war in the Palestinian territories, and a new war in Somoalia, tensions have increased between the two main sects of Islam, the Sunnis and the Shiites. Saudi Arabia's interior minister declared ahead of the rituals that his country would not allow for sectarian violence from any party during the Hajj season.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

As millions of Muslims from around the world make their annual pilgrimage, the Hajj, to Mecca in Saudi Arabia, the prophetic scenario of the prophet, Joel comes better into focus.

One of the pillars of Islamic faith is to make the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, at least once in the lifetime of a Muslim if they are physically able. This year, sectarian tensions are so intense that the scene of the Hajj, Mecca in Saudi Arabia, is on high alert. Warned before hand by the Saudi officilas that any violence would not be tolerated, there is a calm among the Muslims that have arrived for the ritual, over threemillion Muslims from across the Islamic world. As any casual observer can see in our world today, Islam is at an all time high in visibility in world affairs; the Hajj only punctuates this fact.

The ancient Jewish prophets, though not mentioning Muslims by name, did refer to their present-day nations and the war-like scenario that is prevalent in the Islamic world today. In particular, Joel wrote 2,500 years ago of a mighty militia that would come together to attack the city of Jerusalem and the Jewish people, that's Joel 2:2-3. Daniel 11, Ezekiel 38, and Psalm 83 list the Muslim nations that will be included in this attack. This Islamic violence and prominence in our world today should be of no surprise since the Lord Himself told Hagar, the mother of Ishmael - who would be the father of Islam today - that her son would be violent, raising his hand against every man, that's Genesis 16:11-12.

Indeed Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The Temple treasures looted by the Romans in 70 AD are now back in the Holy Land

According to a British archaeologist, Sean Kingsley a specialist on the Holy Land, the collection of sacred artifacts looted by the Romans from the Temple in Jerusalem and long suspected of being hidden in the vaults of the Vatican are actually in the Holy Land.

Kingsley claims to have discovered what became of the collection which is widely regarded as the greatest of biblical treasures and includes the implements used in Herod's Temple at the time of Jesus Christ. Kingsley believes that the Temple treasures remain a deadly political tool in the volatile Arab-Israeli conflict and that these treasures are in a hiding place deep in Hamas territory in Judea and Samaria.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The claim by British archaeologist Sean Kingsley that the Temple treasures are hidden deep in Hamas territory in Israel is very interesting in light of biblical prophecy.

Dr. Sean Kingsley's claim that the treasures from Herod's Temple from the time of Jesus Christ are today somewhere hidden deep in Hamas territory, if true could well rock the world's religions. Kingsley believes the treasure resonates fiercely across modern politics and remains a deadly tool in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict centered on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Tradition says that General Titus, leader of the Roman army who looted the Temple treasures in 70 AD took all the Temple implements to Rome and that these sacred items remain there 'til today. Kingsley claims that these Temple treasures traveled first to Carthage, then to Constantinople, before being returned to the Holy Land and are now hidden deep in Hamas territory.

Kingsley may or may not be right, but what we do know for sure is that these implements or a replica of them will be used in a Temple to be rebuilt by the Jewish people during the seven year Tribulation Period yet future in Jerusalem, that can be found in the book of Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4 and Revelation 11:1-2.

The Temple Institute in Jerusalem has replicated all the Temple implements and trained the priests to operate this coming Temple, a Temple ready to be rebuilt in Jerusalem.

Palestinians are warning Israelis to evacuate their homes before they start shooting missiles at their towns

Israelis living in communities along Israel's Mediterranean coast: places like Ashkelon, Ashdod, and Kiryat Gat, all Israeli towns and not any way connected to Jewish settlements, these Israeli Jews have been told to evacuate their homes before the Palestinian start to launch missiles at them.

The warning came in the form of leaflets, supposedly published by the Palestinian terror group Al Aqsa Martyr's Brigade, and declared that in light of the cease fire and after the huge success in expelling the Zionist settlers in the Gaza Strip, that they will soon start shooting missiles at Ashkelon, Ashdod, and other Jewish communities. The leaflet stated that they did not want to hurt the children, but will do so in order to free the occupied lands and to end the continued suffering that the Zionist occupation has caused the Palestinian children of the refugee camps.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The warning from Palestinian terror groups to Israelis that they must evacuate their homes and communities or suffer missile attacks is a page out of Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

It was just over a year ago when Israeli Jewish settlers were forced to give up their homes and businesses, separate their families, and evacuate their land to the Palestinians with the Sharon disengagement of the Gaza Strip. Now, comes the warning that the Israeli land just to the North of the Gaza Strip is wanted by the Palestinians and the Palestinian terror groups are prepared to kill women, children, and the elderly, the defenseless ones, to take the land of the Jewish people, land that the Palestinians claim is their land. The Palestinian printed warning distributed among the Jews states that the Jewish people must evacuate the land or face the consequences.

This is a page right out of the prophecy of the ancient Jewish prophet, Ezekiel, found in chapter 35. Twenty-five hundred years ago, Ezekiel wrote that the Edomites, the modern-day Palestinians, would kill the Jewish people, that's Ezekiel 35:5, and take the land that God had given to the Jewish people, Ezekiel 35:10-13. Ezekiel 36:5 states that the Palestinians will do this with the joy of all of their heart and despiteful minds.

The warning from the Palestinian terror groups to the Jewish residence of Ashdod and Ashkelon to leave their land or be attacked is indeed a page out of Bible prophecy, a page that will be fulfilled.

There's been a miraculous mysterious birth reported to have taken place in a shepherd's field near Bethlehem in Israel

We have a report of a birth taking place in an open field near the little Arab village of Bethlehem. The shepherds are reporting they have found the newborn babe with His parents; the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger, a food trough for the animals.

There are also reports that last night, their were Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) in the skies over and around Bethlehem. Some of the shepherds are saying that the UFOs were actually angels and this host of angels were actually singing joyful songs of the long awaited Jewish Messiah. There are unconfirmed reports that this little baby is the One that has been spoken of by the ancient Jewish prophets for hundreds of years, the one to be born in Bethlehem and to become the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, the Son of God.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The birth of Jesus Christ fulfilled all the prophecies in the Bible for the presence of God with us - Emmanuel - and it does actually set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

For over 2,000 years the story of the birth of Christ - which is recorded in four chapters of the Bible Matthew 1-2 and Luke 1-2, actually only 168 verses - has been responsible for authors writing so many books that one library could not contain all of the volumes. The composers have penned the music and lyrics for musical manuscripts with Jesus Christ as the theme of these musical numbers, the most used theme in all of music history.

Though Jesus never traveled more than 100 miles from His hometown, men and women have traveled to the far reaches of this earth to tell others the story of this man, the God-man born 2,000 years ago in Bethlehem. It is interesting to note that the Messiah, Jesus Christ, started in a cradle, a manger, He carried His cross to where they would crucify Him, but death could not keep Him, He arose from the dead 3 days later. As He left this world to go back to Heaven, He promised that He would come again to earth, this time wearing a crown.

This God-man, Emmanuel - God with us - came by way of the cradle to the cross and soon He will come wearing a crown; Jesus Christ, the Messiah, who has and will fulfill Bible prophecy.

Syria is building death trap villages along the Israeli-Syrian border in preparation for war

A high ranking officer in Israel's Northern command says that villages recently built by Syria along the Israeli-Syrian border are planning to be used as death traps for Israeli Defense Force (IDF) troops in a Hezbollah inspired attack on Israel.

IDF intelligence says the idea is to draw Israel into a war like the warfare the IDF encounters in combat against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip as well as against Hezbollah in Lebanon, a guerrilla type warfare. Syria, since the Hezbollah-Israeli war ended, has transferred truckloads of weapons and missiles to Hezbollah allowing Hezbollah to be at full strength where is was before the war with Israel and now the Syrian military is preparing to replicate the Hezbollah war plan.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

As the Syrian military builds death traps along the Israeli- Syrian border and prepares their troops in guerrilla warfare, the Middle East moves closer to a scenario found in Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

After Hezbollah claimed victory over the mighty Israeli military this last summer, Syrian President Bashar Assad agreed with Sheikh Mashallah, a leader of Hezbollah, that the Israeli military had suffered a defeat in Southern Lebanon. Syria seemed to have learned some lessons from the Hezbollah victory: first, that 4,000 rockets can paralyze Israel's home front, secondly, that antitank missiles can penetrate Israeli tanks, and thirdly, that Israel's mighty air force is limited against villages and cities and the IDF ground troops can be defeated. These lessons learned by Syria have encouraged them to prepare for a guerrilla type warfare as they approach an anticipated Syrian attack on Israel.

This scenario is a close fit to the prophetic scenario found in Bible prophecy for Syria and Israel in the Last Days. Daniel received a prophecy 2,500 years ago that is actually a prewritten history of the days that we're living in now. Daniel 11:40-43 reveals that the king of the North, a biblical term for modern-day Syria, would be the first nation to move against the Jewish state of Israel.

Syria's building of death traps along the Israeli-Syrian border and training their military for guerrilla warfare is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Somalia is in a state of war with Ethiopia

Heavy fighting in Southern Somalia between Somalia and Ethiopia has caused fears the conflict could plunge the entire Horne of Africa into a crisis and the leader of the Islamic courts in Somalia calling for all Somalis to take part in this struggle against Ethiopia.

The two countries have a long history of troubled relations and Islamists have long called for a holy war against Ethiopian troops while at this time Ethiopia denies that its forces are battling the Islamic militants. An internal conflict has been intensifying in Somalia between the forces of the interim government and the Islamists with the Islamists' leaders claiming Ethiopian forces have entered Somalia causing the Islamists to declare war against Ethiopia.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Horne of Africa and in fact much of the continent of Africa is at the boiling point with the potential for a fledged war to breakout everywhere which is a precursor to the scenario found in Bible prophecy for this region of the world in the Last Days.

Throughout the continent of Africa, there are wars or conflicts that could quickly become full fledged wars in what is a very troubled land. The catastrophe in Darfur in the Sudan is a glaring example of one such conflict where thousands have already been killed and with the threat of the situation only getting worse. This declaration of war from the Islamists in Somalia against the Ethiopians which could draw the entire Horne of Africa into the conflict is only the latest into what African leaders fear could plunge the entire continent into war.

This report of these current conflicts is indeed a precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. Jesus in His discourse given on the Mount of Olives, the week of His crucifixion, told His disciples that one sign for the Jewish people of the coming of the Messiah, the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, would be wars and rumors of wars, nation against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, that's recorded in Matthew 24:6-7. Ezekiel, 500 years before Jesus Christ, wrote in his prophecy that Ethiopia, Somalia, and Sudan would be players in a war against Israel in the Last Days, that's Ezekiel 38:5.

Somalia at war with Ethiopia is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Iran is now a nuclear power

Iranian President Ahmadinejad has declared that Iran is now a nuclear power and he claimed that Iran had reached that zenith with access to the nuclear fuel cycle because of the hard work of the Iranian people, their scientists, and authorities.

The announcement of Iran as a nuclear power is bound to significantly escalate tensions between the West and Iran and marks a dramatic stage in the Islamic Republic's nuclear campaign. In recent days, the US military has begun to build up forces around the Persian Gulf in what is seen as a warning to Iran.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The announcement by Iranian President Ahmadinejad that they are now a nuclear power is a page out of Bible prophecy for the Last Days in the Middle East region.

For a number of years, the Iranians have been developing their nuclear program with the goal of producing a Nuclear Weapon of Mass Destruction. This with the transfer of nuclear technology and technicians from Russia to Iran. Now, comes the announcement that Iran is a nuclear power; this declaration actually coming prior to what had been predicted by European, US, and Israeli intelligence. What has been feared by Israel, a nuclear-powered Iran, is now a reality, a reality that causes concern not only to Israel but to the European Union, the US and even the Arab states of the Middle East as well.

Anyone who would have read through the pages of Bible prophecy would have known that this would come about sooner rather than later. The ancient Jewish prophets Ezekiel and Jeremiah and even the Psalmist revealed in prewritten history that Iran, biblical Persia, would be a major power in the world at the time of the end, that's Ezekiel 38:5, Jeremiah 49:34-39, and Psalm 83.

Iranian President Ahmadinejad with a nuclear arsenal positions Iran to play the role called for by Bible prophecy.

President Bush overrides the congressional decision to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem

The US Congress enacted legislation in 1995 calling for America to move its embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv, but once again a US president, this time George W. Bush, has postponed the move for another six months citing national security interest for this presidential decision.

Israel captured the eastern section of Jerusalem, reunited the city in the 1967 Six Day War, and annexed it in a move not recognized internationally.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The decision by US President George W. Bush to not move the American embassy to Jerusalem is significant for Jerusalem in light of Bible prophecy.

The Six Day War in 1967 saw Israel reunite the city of Jerusalem after almost 2,000 years and secure its sovereignty over this very historic city. Every Prime Minister (PM) of Israel from the very first one, David Ben Gurion, has proclaimed Jerusalem as the undivided, eternal capital of the Jewish people. With the US congressional decision in 1995 to move America's embassy to Jerusalem, Israel's capital city, a major controversy among the Arab nations developed that has kept all US presidents since 1995 from allowing the move to take place. This most recent delay by President Bush to move the US embassy to Jerusalem is a factor in the End Times scenario for the Holy city of Jerusalem.

The ancient Jewish prophet Zechariah wrote that Jerusalem would be both intoxicating and a heavy burden in the Last Days, that's Zechariah 12:2-3. The Muslim world and in particular, the Palestinians are intoxicated with the power they have over the central focus of Jerusalem, the Temple Mount, as evidenced by the gold domed Dome of the Rock over the site of the Jewish temples. The former Israeli PM Sharon could testify to the heavy burden that Jerusalem was to him and now to George W. Bush to some extent.

Jeremiah 31:38-40, Ezekiel 37:26-28, and Isaiah 65:19 among other passages reveal the prominence of Jerusalem for the Jewish people in the future.

A Saudi study recently revealed says there is an Iranian Shiite state within the state of Iraq

A security report commissioned by the Saudi government reveals that Iran has effectively created a Shiite state within a state in Iraq providing both logistical support of armed militia groups and funding for social programs.

The 40 page report says that Iranian military forces are providing Shiite militias with weapons and training and that Tehran is actively supporting pro-Iranian politicians like Muqtada al Sadr, the radical Islamic cleric who heads up the Mahdi Army, the largest of the Iraqi militias.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The warning from Saudi Arabia of a Shiite state within the state of Iraq is evidence that Bible prophecy is getting closer to being fulfilled.

Recently, Saudi Arabia warned the US that if they pulled out of Iraq and left a vacuum of restraint, the Saudis would rush to the support of the minority Sunnis in Iraq. Now, with the revealed report commissioned by Saudi Arabia on the Iraq end fighting between the Sunnis and the Shiites, the Saudis are more determined to sure up the Sunnis with whatever is needed to assure the Iraqi people they can resist an Iranian type Shiite-Islamic republic which would be a nation under the strict Islamic Sharia Law. This move by Saudi Arabia will only enhance the possibility for a sectarian civil war to be full blown in the near future in Iraq. This type of scenario would call for a strong leader to come to power in Iraq, somewhat of a benevolent dictator to bring stability to this war-torn country. That scenario is a page out of Bible prophecy.

Revelation 18 reveals that Iraq, which is biblical Babylon, will become the center of a one-world, economic, political, governmental system headed up by a dictator known in the Scriptures as Antichrist. According to Isaiah 13-14, the book of Jeremiah 50-51, and Revelation 16-18, Iraq does indeed have a future for the Last Days.

This recently revealed Saudi report does set the stage for these Bible prophecies to be fulfilled.

Jews in Israel and around the world mark the Jewish holy days of Chanukah a celebration of victory out of defeat

As Jews around the world light a candle on each of the eight days of Chanukah, they celebrate the great victory over Antiochus Epiphanes, the Greek ruler who desecrated the Jewish Temple only to be defeated by Jewish heroes three years later with the reconsecration of the Jewish Temple.

The Maccabees ran the Greek troops from Jerusalem, reconsecrated the Temple, and used a flask of olive oil found in the rubble of the Temple to light the menorah and restore the Temple practices some 2,300 years ago. That menorah stayed lit for eight days on one days supply of olive oil, and thus the lighting of the miniature menorahs in the homes of the Jewish people for the eight days of Chanukah will be celebrated by Jews around the world.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The celebration of Chanukah by Jews around the world remembers a Jewish victory over 2,000 years ago, but also looks to a time of trouble for the Jews in the future, that is according to Bible prophecy.

As Jews around the world light one candle per night for the eight day celebration of Chanukah, they remember the abomination of desolation, the desecration of the Temple in Jerusalem, with the cleansing of the Temple, the lighting of the menorah, and the miracle of the menorah burning for eight days on one day's supply of oil would become the origins for the Jewish Holy day of Chanukah. This focus on Chanukah is only a reminder of a future event that will replicate the events that surrounded the origins of Chanukah. Antiochus Epiphanes desecrated the Jewish Temple by slaughtering a pig on the altar of the Temple and it was called the abomination of desolation.

Bible prophecy speaks of another such event to happen at the Jewish Temple when it stands on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem once again; an event prophesied to be performed by the Antichrist at the midway point of the seven year Tribulation in the future. These prophecies presuppose that there will be a Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, and indeed all preparations have been made for that Temple to be rebuilt in Jerusalem at any time now.

The celebration of Chanukah is indeed proof that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

A severe space storm is headed towards the earth

Weather predictions for storminess have been revised by space weather forecasters after a major flare erupted on the Sun which has caused a threat of damage to communication systems and power grids while at the same time offering up the wonder of Northern Lights.

The lead forecaster at the Space Environment Center said there would be very strong geomagnetic storming and radio communications, satellites, and even power grids could face an eruption or damage. Solar flares send radiation to earth with some flares accompanied by clouds of charged particles that arrive within a day or two, and the present solar flare being watched is aimed squarely at the earth.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A severe space storm aimed squarely at earth today is a precursor to additional space storms that will indeed hit the earth in the future, that is according to Bible prophecy.

The potential for damage and at least interruption to radio communications, satellite systems, and power grids around the earth is very great according to space weather forecasters. These solar flares, predicted to be headed squarely toward the earth, even motivated the astronauts on the space station to move to protected areas within the space station itself. Now that this solar flare, or sun spot as some refer to it, has flared so significantly the forecast calls for a reasonable chance of more major flares in coming days. These severe space storms are an indication that there is a potential for the space storms predicted in the pages of Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

In the last book of the Bible, the book of Revelation, the writer - John the Apostle - forecasts a number of severe storms in the future. In Revelation 6:12-13 John wrote of dramatic events related to the sun and the moon. In Revelation 8:7-11 there is a forecast of numerous items from the heavens hitting the earth. Jesus Himself wrote of heavenly disturbances at the time of His return to the earth, that's found in Matthew 24:27-29.

The warnings of severe space storms today do indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled in a near future.

Kofi Annan calls for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to be settled once and for all

Kofi Annan, the outgoing Chief of the United Nations (UN), told the Security Council that the festering Israeli-Palestinian conflict must be settled once and for all warning that the opportunity for negotiating a two-state solution will only last so long.

Annan pleaded for a new and urgent push for peace, stating that tensions in the region are near the breaking point. The UN leader stressed the need to find new ways for settling final status issues such as the return of Palestinian refugees and the fate of Jerusalem.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The urgent call for peace in the Middle East by the leader of the UN, an international, political, governmental agency, is a precursor to the End Times scenario for this region of the world that can be found in Bible prophecy.

In his last days as the Secretary General of the UN, Kofi Annan actually pleaded with the Security Council to push for peace in the Middle East, a region of the world where tensions are increasing on a daily basis. Annan, in his address to the UN Security Council, stated that the time is short and that the region is about to explode into a very dangerous conflict. Annan's warning of how short the time was for a possible peace in the region to be in place is actually setting the stage for the scenario found in Bible prophecy to play out.

Twenty-five hundred years ago a Jewish prophet prewrote history, a history that seems to be unfolding in our day. Daniel, that ancient Jewish prophet, wrote of a world leader coming to power over an international, one-world, governmental, political system that would actually bring peace to the Middle East region, at least temporarily, that's Daniel 9:27. This passage of scripture tells us that the peace, which at first is for seven years, will be broken and then all chaos will break out.

This peace will be between Israel and its Middle East neighbors. The peacemaker is not Kofi Annan but in fact will be the Antichrist, and the stage is set for this Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

At the Iranian Holocaust conference an Orthodox Jewish rabbi calls for Israel to be totally dissolved

A handful of Orthodox Jewish rabbis attended Iran's controversial conference questioning the Nazi genocide of the Jews, not because they deny the Holocaust, but because they object to using it as justification for the existence of the Jewish state of Israel.

These rabbis, members of a group called Guardians of the City, view Zionism, the movement to establish a Jewish national home or state, as a poison that's a threat to true Jews. This group of Orthodox Jews believe the very idea of an Israeli state goes against the Jewish religion and they say that the book of Jewish law, the Talmud, teaches that believers may not use human force to create a Jewish state before the coming of the Messiah.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Orthodox Jewish rabbis at the Iranian Holocaust conference calling for the Jewish state of Israel to be dissolved is in direct contradiction to Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

The very controversial Holocaust conference hosted by Iran brought out yet a more controversial statement by Orthodox Jewish rabbis with the call for the present-day Jewish state of Israel to be dissolved. According to Bible prophecy, the truth of the matter is that both the Zionist and this fringe Orthodox Jewish group are each partially right.

The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel wrote 2,500 years ago that God would reach into the world, find the Jews where they had been scattered, gather them, and place them on the land that He had promised to give them, that's Ezekiel 34:11-31. Ezekiel reveals that these Jews would return in unbelief before the Messiah comes back to the earth, which Jews believe will be His first coming, that's Ezekiel 37:1-14. Zechariah says when the Messiah does come, He will come to Jerusalem where Jews are living at that time, that's Zechariah 14:1-5.

Orthodox Jewish rabbis at an Iranian Holocaust conference denying that there should be a Jewish state in the Middle East is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Iran holds a conference to examine whether the Holocaust actually happened

Over 60 researchers from some 30 countries attended a 2 day conference in Tehran, Iran to discuss questions about the Holocaust without taboos and as Iranian President Ahmadinejad who backed the event said, he questioned the scale of the Holocaust in which 6 million Jews were supposedly killed.

President Ahmadinejad, who acknowledges the importance and the centrality of the Holocaust in shaping world policy, has called for Israel to be dismantled and has said on numerous occasions that Israel will disappear from the earth very soon.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Even as Iran gathered researchers from around the world to discuss the reality of a past Holocaust, the threat of a far worse Holocaust in the future is ever present, that is according to Bible prophecy.

For more than a year, Iranian President Ahmadinejad has publicly denied that there was ever a Holocaust that was responsible for killing 6 million Jews. That radical rhetoric finally resulted in a 2 day conference in Tehran for an open discussion by so-called scholars on the Holocaust, or should we say Holocaust deniers, they were to determine the extent of the Holocaust. The Holocaust has been a major factor in the events in history since the infamous destruction of one third of the Jewish people under Hitler's Nazi regime. Former Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu believes that Iranian President Ahmadinejad is preparing for another Holocaust and must be stopped. Netanyahu is right about the event, but may not be right about the personality.

There is another Holocaust coming to the Jewish people, that is according to their ancient Jewish prophet, Zechariah. Zechariah says in Zechariah 13:8 that in the future time of Jacob's Trouble, the seven year Tribulation Period, two out of every three Jews will be killed and at present numbers, that would be 8 million Jews to be killed, the worst Holocaust ever to happen.

The conference on the Holocaust in Iran did indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Palestinian Authority PM Haniyeh says Hamas led government will never recognize Israel and will liberate Jerusalem

Palestinian Authority (PA) Prime Minister Haniyeh addressing thousands of Muslim prayer worshipers at Tehran University in Iran said that his Hamas led government would never recognize Israel and would continue to fight for the liberation of Jerusalem.

Haniyeh is in Iran for a 4 day visit which will include meetings with Iranian leaders including Iranian President Ahmadinejad who has called for Israel to be destroyed and the Ayatollah who is the head of the supreme council of Iran.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Prime Minister of the PA in Tehran, Iran to confirm that they will never recognize the Zionist state of Israel and will liberate Jerusalem using jihad is a page out of Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

On his first trip abroad after becoming the prime minister of the PA, the Hamas leader Ishmail Haniyeh made a state visit to Israel's number one enemy, the nation of Iran led by the radical President Ahmadinejad. Haniyeh used the occasion to confirm that his Hamas led Palestinian government would never recognize Israel's right to be a state in the Middle East and that they will continue their jihad-like movement to liberate the city of Jerusalem and in fact the whole of the Zionist state.

As I give this report, I feel like I'm reading from the pages of Bible prophecy for the Last Days, instead of the latest Middle East news. Ezekiel, the ancient Jewish prophet, wrote some 2,500 years ago that Iran would be a major player in the last Days scenario for this region of the world, that's Ezekiel 38:5 where Iran is referred to as biblical Persia. Ezekiel also wrote of the Palestinians, the biblical Edomites from Mount Seir found in Ezekiel 35, who would rise up in the Last Days to destroy the Jews and their state and then take their land.

Palestinian Prime Minister Haniyeh's statement in Iran is indeed a page from Bible prophecy that will be fulfilled.

Israeli PM Ehud Olmert rejects the Iraqi Study Group report over serious concerns for Israel's security

The recently released Baker-Hamilton Iraq Study Group report has caused much concern among Israeli officials and Israeli PM Olmert is in fact rejecting a portion of the report that would place Israel in harms way if recommendations are carried out by the US.

According to the prime minister's office and other Israeli security officials, the Iraqi Study Group report calls for Israel to offer the return of the Golan Heights to Syria in exchange for a comprehensive peace agreement between the two countries. Israeli officials are also concerned that the linkage the report makes between the Iraqi chaotic situation and Israeli-Palestinian conflict puts Israel in a vulnerable position in its ongoing efforts to establish a peaceful coexistence between the Israelis and the Palestinians.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The recently released report on the Middle East by the Iraqi Study Group basically is tangible evidence that the prophetic scenario for this region of the world is on track to be fulfilled in the near future, that is according to Bible prophecy.

The Baker-Hamilton Iraq Study Group report has revealed that there is a real problem in Iraq and in fact throughout the entire Middle East. According to Israeli officials, the report links the Iraq chaos to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and also calls for Israel to make peace with Syria by withdrawing from the Golan Heights. The scenario described in the report is a snapshot of the prophetic scenario that can be found in the pages of Bible prophecy.

Daniel, the ancient Jewish prophet, revealed that Syria would be the first Middle East nation to move against Israel in the Last Days, that's Daniel 11:40-41. Ezekiel 35, Malachi 1, and Obadiah are prophetic passages that prewrite history, a history that will record the Palestinian aggression to take the land of the Jews and then kill the Jews.

The Iraqi Study Group report does indeed focus the world on the events that lead up to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

The Presidency of the EU will publish its news reports in Latin

With the Presidency of the European Union (EU) passing to mild mannered Finland for the next six months, Finland's Prime Minister (PM) pledged an active EU presidency.

The Finnish PM described his country's pragmatic approach in a speech given to the EU parliament and he reiterated that tangible results should be Europe's goal. Stretching back to ancient times, the Finnish EU presidency will publish all EU news in Latin, the language of the old Roman Empire.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The EU presidency publishing their latest news reports in Latin, the language of the old Roman Empire, is evidence of the connection between the EU and the Roman Empire as it relates to Bible prophecy. In the last year the EU faced its biggest setback when two nations did not approve the EU constitution for ratification.

Austrianates strides forward in the moving of the 25 EU member states towards another opportunity for ratifying the constitution. And now, Finland, who presently holds the EU presidency wants to be more than a caretaker presidency. They want to provide an atmosphere for the EU members to see how they can and must work together for the better good of all the members.

The present-day link between the EU and the old Roman Empire, the Latin language news reports to be published by Finland, are evidence of progress in the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. The ancient Jewish prophet Daniel wrote of a revival of the Roman Empire in the Last Days when he referred to the ten horns of the awesome beast in Daniel 7:7 which actually was describing a revival of the Roman Empire as revealed in Daniel 7:23-25 and Revelation 17:3, 12. The EU may or may not be the fulfillment of these prophecies, but for sure it is the infrastructure for the revived Roman Empire.

Publishing European news in Latin, the language of the old Roman Empire, is evidence that Bible prophecy is coming closer to fulfillment.

US President Bush and Iranian President Ahmadinejad both address the world at the UN General Assembly

US President George W. Bush challenged world leaders to do more to build democracy in the Middle East as he spoke at the UN General Assembly, a gathering of world leaders in New York City.

The President saying that establishing democracies in the Middle East would give people in the region a vision of hope, and opportunity, and a better future. Among those in the audience of the UN General Assembly was Iranian President Ahmadinejad who is an outspoken critic of US foreign policy and continues to challenge the world for its right to develop its nuclear program. Ahmadinejad came to the gathering of world leaders with an endorsement for his nuclear program from a recent gathering in Cuba of the non-aligned nations who said Iran does have a right to its nuclear program even though it could lead to a nuclear Weapon of Mass Destruction (WMD).

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The gathering of world leaders at the UN General Assembly with speeches from two totally contradictory world views is a prototype of things to come according to Bible prophecy.

The annual gathering of the UN General Assembly brings world leaders together for the purpose of allowing each of them an opportunity to impact the world with his or her vision for the future. Though not in truth a Christian nation, the US is operated on biblical principles and has been so from the time of its inception over 200 years ago. Thus, the US President brings to his address, a Christian world view perspective. The Iranian President Ahmadinejad with a different world view than President Bush, brings to his speech for the world leaders a vision based upon his religious background and the fact that his nation is an Islamic republic with the law of the land, Sharia Law, from the Islamic holy book.

This annual meeting at the UN this year was indeed a prototype for the future when these two different world views will clash. Bible prophecy reveals that the forces of good and evil will clash during the seven year Tribulation Period during which the judgments of God, the God of the bible, not Allah of the Islamic faith, will be the victor, that's Revelation 19. Ephesians 6:12 says we will see the fight to bring down world leaders who oppose the return of the true Messiah, Jesus Christ.

Two opposing world views presented at the UN General Assembly do indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The German Chancellor says the EU needs a constitution that makes reference to Christianity and God

Following her recent audience with Pope Benedict, the German Chancellor Angela Merkel says the European Union needs a constitution that makes reference to Christianity and God.

Chancellor Merkel believes a redrafted treaty should include clear links to Europe's Christian heritage. Mrs. Merkel visited the Pope to discuss issues in European and international politics ahead of the Pope's visit to Germany.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

An EU treaty, which is the constitution for the Union with references to its Christian heritage, is in line with the prophetic scenario in Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

The late Pope John Paul worked diligently to have the formers of the European constitution include references to Europe's Christian heritage and the role it played in forming the union of European states known as the EU. As the Eu considers how to tackle the deadlock after the treaty rejection by French and Dutch voters last year, Spain, Italy, Poland, and now Germany are strong supporters of a reference to God in a new EU charter. The German Chancellor says that Europe needs a European identity in the form of a constitutional treaty and it should be connected to Christianity and God since Christianity has forged Europe in a decisive way. That is what will happen to bring together the European states and their formation of the EU. There will be a religious connection according to Bible prophecy.

John the Apostle prewrote history of the coming world-wide religion of the End Times as recorded in Revelation 17. This religion will be a mother-son cult that calls for co-equal worship of the Mother and the Son as was the case of the roots of this international religious system in Babylon 4,500 years ago.

With the fall of the Babylonian empire in 539 BC, the mother-son cult religion moved its headquarters to Pergamos before finally ending up in Rome, Italy which is exactly what Revelation 17:9 calls for in the Last Days.

There is a scientific report that says planet earth is going back to the age of the Dinosaur

According to some scientists, global warming over the coming century could mean a return to the temperatures last seen in the age of the dinosaur and which led to the extinction of up to half of all species on the earth at that time.

The British Association for the Advancement of Science at their annual meeting were told that the earth may already be on the breaking edge of a wave of mass extinctions as global average temperatures become higher than they have been in the last 10 million years.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

According to a recently released scientific report, the earth is going back to the age of the dinosaur, a very interesting report in light of Bible prophecy.

As the world listens to statement after statement and watches film documentations on the subject of global warming, the most recent pronouncement indicates that our earth is facing climatic changes today that will take us back to the conditions prevalent of yesterday, and the yesteday that scientists are referring to is the period of time when dinosaurs roamed this earth. The campaign to prepare the world for the results of global warming has received another boost to get the word out and to everybody.

As a student of Bible prophecy and as a student of the entire Bible, I would suggest several observations as it relates to the End Times and this issue of global warming. I do not know, nor does anybody else really know the truth about global warming. I do know however, during the time of judgment in the future, the Tribulation Period, there will also be ecological judgment on the earth: grass and trees will be burned up, the oceans will turn to blood, the fish of the seas will be killed, and fresh water, rivers, and lakes will turn to blood also, that's Revelation 8:7-11 and 16:3-7. As it relates to the age of dinosaurs, according to scientists, 10 million years ago, that is impossible unless one is willfully ignorant which is how the Apostle Peter described people during the time of the near return of Jesus Christ back to the earth, and that's found in II Peter 3:3-7.

A supposed scientific report that says we're going back to the age of dinosaurs does indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Pope Benedict calls the divisions among Christians a scandal to the world

In a meeting with the religious leader of the Orthodox churches worldwide at his ancient enclave in Turkey, a Muslim country, Pope Benedict called the divisions among Christians a scandal to the world.

The Pope also appeared to send conflicting signals to Turkey's political establishment as he recalled the deep roots of Christianity in Europe, this after the Pope's endorsement for the Muslim nation to become a member state in the European Union (EU). This meeting between Pope Benedict and Patriarch Bartholomew is part of Benedict's plan to fully unite these two ancient branches of Christianity which split nearly 1,000 years ago.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The ecumenical goal of Pope Benedict to unite the Catholic Church with the Orthodox Church after a 1,000 year split is a precursor to a scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

The very controversial trip to the Muslim country of Turkey by the head of the Catholic Church, Pope Benedict, has included a political significance as well as a religious significance. The Pope's trip to Turkey has been an endeavor to mend fences between the Papacy and the Muslim world. Included in the Pope's pronouncements of his desire to develop closer relationships between the Muslim and Christian world, Benedict also has endorsed Turkey's effort to to become a member state in the EU which would make them the first Muslim state in the EU. Calling the divisions in the Christian world a scandal, the Pope also moved forward in his goal to reunite the Christian world under one umbrella.

This scenario is a perfect match for what will be the plan of Antichrist during the first 3 1/2 years of the Tribulation Period as found in Revelation 17, a one-world religion headquartered in Rome, Italy. This worldwide ecumenical church of the future coming together with the approval of the revived Roman Empire of which the EU is is a prototype.

The Pope's statements while in Turkey seem to be setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

President Bush Meets Prime Minister Maliki in Jordan for a Reality Check

With the dramatic change in Congress at the midterm elections, President Bush has become pressured to find a new blueprint for Iraq and hopes to do so as he meets with Prime Minister Maliki in Amman, Jordan in a two-day summit hosted by Jordan's King Abdullah. PM Maliki comes to the meeting under the threat that his Iraqi government could fall apart if the radical Islamic cleric Muqtada al-Sadr follows through on his threat to pull his political alliance out of the Maliki government if the PM goes ahead with the meeting with President Bush.

Jordan's King Abdullah urged Iraq to seek unity, calling on Iraq's religious and political leaders not to allow their country to disintegrate, which he said could have a devastating affect on the entire Middle East region.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Jordan summit between President Bush and PM Maliki will not only have great political significance, but even greater prophetic significance. The deteriorating situation in Iraq demands a new course be taken in order to bring the country out of the chaos and into some kind of stability. Otherwise, as King Abdullah stated, it could effect the entire Middle East.

Under pressure to restore order to Iraq, both Bush and Maliki must develop a plan for this war-torn nation to rebuild. This task seems impossible with the conflicting agendas of the body politic of Iraq. This scenario today is setting the stage for the prophetic scenario for the future that can be found in Bible prophecy.

Modern day Iraq is biblical Babylon. God's prophetic Word has much to say about the future for Babylon. The ultimate bottom line for Iraq is total destruction - never to be rebuilt, (Isaiah 13 & 14, Jeremiah 50 & 51, and Revelation 16 & 18). However, before the final destruction of Babylon, Iraq must come to power as the economic, political, and governmental center of the world, (Revelation 18). Revelation 17:17 states that God uses world leaders to accomplish His will. Possibly, the Bush-Maliki summit will set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Security for Pope Benedict's visit to Turkey is higher than President Bush's last visit

The visit by Pope Benedict to Turkey where he was greeted on his arrival by the Turkish Prime Minister (PM) Tayyip Erdogan is a papal visit under tight security with 15,000 police on guard, a higher security for the Pope's visit than for President Bush's visit in 2004.

The Pope's visit, his first trip to a mainly Muslim country, has been overshadowed by angry protesters by the thousands in the streets of the nation, protesters enraged by comments the Pontiff made about Islam. The Pope told PM Erdogan he wanted to visit Turkey because it was a bridge between religions and cultures.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A visit to a Muslim country by a world renown religious leader under tense conditions and high security is a foretaste of things to come according to Bible prophecy.

For the week proceeding this first ever visit by Pope Benedict to a Muslim country, tens of thousands of Muslims rushed to the streets of Turkey to protest this state visit. Enraged by what Muslims around the world claim were derogatory statements about Islam and its founder Mohammad, these Turkish demonstrators have put the very safety and security of the world's most popular religious leader in question. Death threats against the Pope from all across the Muslim world have focused attention on this controversial visit to Turkey.

This scenario is a foretaste of things to come. Bible prophecy reveals the presence of a world renown religious leader who will confront the Islamic world and in fact play the lead role in the destruction of several Muslim countries, that's found in Daniel 11:40-43, with the pronoun, "him" of that passage, the religious leader known as the Antichrist and the kings of the North and the South as Syria and Egypt respectively. This world leader, the Antichrist, will be headquartered in Rome and lead the way to the destruction of the Islamic world, that's found in Ezekiel 39:2.

Current events in Turkey do indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Israel's PM wants to give up a great deal of Israeli territory to the Palestinians for peace

In a major policy address at the grave site of David Ben-Gurion, Israel's first Prime Minister (PM), Israeli PM Ehud Olmert extended a hand of peace to the Palestinians, a far-reaching vision for peace reaffirming that Israel would be willing to withdraw from a great deal of territory in return for a true peace.

The Israeli PM said that within this framework the Palestinians could establish an independent viable state and have sovereignty over recognized borders.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Israeli PM Ehud Olmert's offer of a true peace to the Palestinians with their own independent state is an offer that may be a non-starter in light of biblical prophecy.

In a dramatic fashion, Israeli PM Olmert gave a major policy speech with an outstretched hand that contained a far-reaching vision for peace with the Palestinians. In exchange for a true peace and the recognition that Israel has a right to be a nation in the Middle East, PM Olmert stated that Israel would give the Palestinians an independent state and to do so the Jewish state would give up much territory including the Jewish settlements.

This offer of peace to the Palestinians by PM Olmert has many pitfalls not only politically, but prophetically. Prophetically, the Bible in a number of passages reveals that a true peace between the Jews and the Palestinians will not happen, those passages include Ezekiel 35, Jeremiah 49, and Malachi 1. In fact, the prophetic book of Obadiah says that in the final analysis, the Jews will completely destroy the Palestinians, that's Obadiah 17-18. Olmert's offer to give up the Jewish settlements in exchange for this peace will trigger a second Jewish state in the area of the Jewish settlements, that's found in Ezekiel 37:15-23. In fact, all of these prophetic passages speak of the Palestinians, the biblical Edomites, killing the Jewish people and taking their land.

PM Olmert's offer of concessions to the Palestinians for a true peace will ultimately fail.

Mexico has launched a giant telescope that they say will give us clues about the creation of the universe

Mexican President Vicente Fox has inaugurated a giant telescope that they say could help scientists uncover clues about the creation of the universe as it picks up radio waves that have been supposedly traveling through space for nearly the 13 billion years.

The director of the National Astrophysics Institute in Mexico said at the inauguration of the giant telescope that it would allow scientists to make discoveries about the formation and evolution of galaxies and stars and about the origin of the universe itself. President Fox said that this telescope will put Mexico in the scientific, investigative vanguard in astrophysics.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The announcement by Mexican President Vicente Fox of its new giant telescope and its potential to uncover clues about the creation of the universe has an interesting connection with Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

Vicente Fox, the president of Mexico, has inaugurated the most important scientific and technological project in the history of his country, the giant telescope that could help uncover clues to the creation of our universe. The telescope which resembles a gigantic satellite dish, sits high in the mountains where the air is so thin, that the scientists working at the site have to have bottle oxygen on hand in case of an emergency. The National Astrophysics Institute in Mexico believes that this new telescope will help mankind to discover the formation and the evolution of galaxies, the stars, and even the universe itself.

This investigation into the origins of the universe is evidence that modern day science does not accept the account of Creation, the origins of this universe and all that is in it, as found in the Bible in Genesis 1. This is actually what Peter the Apostle said would happen in the Last Days. Men would be willfully ignorant or dumb on purpose about God's creative act for everything that is, that's found in II Peter 3:1-8.

A denial of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is also coupled with this denial that God created this world.

Thanksgiving Day is evidence that the US government and the Bible can work in harmony

The United States of America stops today to give thanks for all the blessings and freedoms that we have and this day is a special day set aside by the US government to do exactly what the Bible calls for us all to do, give thanks in all things.

Families will gather for the traditional Thanksgiving dinner of turkey and dressing, the young men and even some of us old guys will break out in the annual game of touch football and the ladies, well they'll be there to cheer us on, and in fact heal up any of the bruises sustained in the afternoon free-for-all. Those of us with loved ones on a far away battlefield will thank God for their protection and ask God for their safe return to the family circle for next Thanksgiving: and all of this on a day of thanksgiving required by the Bible and set aside by decree of our own government.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Today is a day set aside for all of us to be thankful, but as we move closer to the time of the return of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, our world will become more and more unthankful, that is according to Bible prophecy. The principle of thanksgiving: there are over 100 locations in the Bible where the scriptures speak of thanks and thanksgiving. We are told to give thanks in all things for it is the will of God in Christ Jesus, First Thessalonians 5:18.

The product of thanksgiving: interestingly when we stop to give thanks, the end result is to our own personal benefit. Paul, an apostle, in a letter that he wrote to the Philippians, states that giving thanks brings us true joy. Paul also wrote the people in Colosse that giving thanks helps us to abound in the faith, a faith that is needed for all of life Colossians 2:7.

The prophecy of unthankfulness: as we approach the time of the Second Coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, Paul reminded us that he wrote a letter to Timothy to tell him that people would be unthankful at that time, Second Timothy 3:2.

Unthankfulness is one of the major signs of the last days and as those days approach we need to be looking up in anticipation of His coming, but also in thanksgiving as well. Remember on this day of thanksgiving, unthankfulness is an indicator, a trend, a sign of the judgment that is coming, that is according to Bible prophecy.

Russia is worried that its Muslim community is on track to account for more than half its population

Low domestic birthrates coupled with ever-increasing immigration from the former Soviet Republic is producing explosive growth in Russia's Muslim community which is on track to account for more than half its population by mid-century.

Russia's national fertility rate is 1.28 children per woman, far below what is needed to maintain the country's population of nearly 143 million, while the average fertility rate for Russian Muslims is six children per woman. Russia's Muslim population has increased by 40% since 1989 and by 2015, Muslims will make up a majority of Russia's military, figures that have Slavic Russians concerned about becoming a minority in their own country.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The ever-increasing Muslim population in Russia is setting the stage for the prophetic scenario found in Bible for the Last Days.

The former superpower nation of Russia has in recent years been moving to reestablish itself as a major player on the world scene. Russian President Vladimir Putin, a major force in Russian politics, has emerged as a key player in world affairs and looks to continue to impact Russia, Europe, and in fact the world. However, there are concerns that the explosive birth rate and immigration of Muslims in Russia could also have an impact on world affairs in the very near future.

This is a scenario that is found in Bible prophecy for the Last Days as it pertains to Russia. Ezekiel, the ancient Jewish prophet some 2,500 years ago prewrote history with his prophecy that the geographical location known then as Magog, modern-day Russia, would lead a coalition of nations to destroy Israel, that's Ezekiel 38:2. All the other nations in that coalition would be of Islamic or Arabic background, that's Ezekiel 38 as well verses 2-6.

Russia's ever-increasing Muslim population is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The EU is being told that the US is no longer in position to set the agenda in our world

The US philanthropist and liberal political activist, George Soros, addressed the European Policy Center in Brussels telling them that the foreign policy of the US under President George W. Bush is no longer in the position to set the agenda in the world after having brought the world into disarray by its failed war on terror.

Soros also said that he had bad news on Russia, explaining it has emerged as an authoritarian state using natural resources to assert its power and Russia wants to control all institutions of democracy. Soros urged the European Union (EU) to shelve its proposed constitution and simplify its decision making process which is urgent for the EU to be more effective on the world stage.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

With the US no longer setting the agenda for the world, there is a call for the EU to become the major player on the world stage. This is a page out of Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

World leaders are watching the leadership of the US, after their most recent election, to see if indeed America can continue to set the agenda for the world. There are those who argue that the US has and will continue to lose its influence in the decision making process for our world today. Among those who say the US war on terror has failed and brought the world into disarray is the very rich and very liberal political activist, George Soros, who is calling on the EU to step up and take charge of the world agenda with or without a EU constitution.

As I report this to you, I cannot set aside the scenario found in Bible prophecy for the End Times that reads almost word-for-word with my report. Prophetically the EU, most likely the infrastructure for the prophesied revived Roman Empire of Daniel 7 and Revelation 13, this United States of Europe will take over the lead role in the final drama on the world stage. A world leader will come out of this emerging very powerful economic, political, governmental system, the revived Roman Empire to lead the world until Jesus Christ returns.

The call by George Soros for the EU to step up and take charge is evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Henry Kissinger says a military victory in Iraq is impossible

The former US Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger, said during a television interview in London recently that a military victory is no longer possible in Iraq and the US government must enter into dialog with Iraq's regional neighbors including Iran, if progress is to be made in the region.

Kissinger said that if you define military victory as that which brings the civil war under control and sectarian violence under control in a time period that the political processes of the democracies will support, that is impossible. A dramatic collapse of Iraq would have disastrous consequences for which we would pay for many years, and which would bring US troops back one way or another into the region.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The recent statement by Henry Kissinger that a military victory in Iraq is impossible may be true in the short term, but not in the long term that is according to Bible prophecy.

The recent US elections had a significant impact on the military strategy of the US in Iraq in the short term with recommendations coming into focus from all parties with many approaches for the future. Middle Eastern leaders of terrorist sponsoring states, and in fact those terror organizations themselves, have been rejoicing over the supposed repudiation of the Bush Middle East policy as it relates to Iraq. Now, with the pronouncement by Henry Kissinger, a close adviser to President Bush, that a military victory in Iraq is impossible, the future direction of Bush administration Middle East policy is somewhat in question. However, the final scenario militarily in Iraq is very clear in the pages of Bible prophecy.

Iraq, which is biblical Babylon, has a destiny already decided and is described in Bible prophecy. Isaiah and Jeremiah, ancient Jewish prophets, wrote over 2,500 years ago that Babylon, modern-day Iraq, will be destroyed when it is at its pinnacle of power in the last 3 1/2 years of the future 7 year period of judgment called the Tribulation, that's Isaiah 13-14 and Jeremiah 50-51.

In the short term maybe no military victory, but war-torn Iraq must be rebuilt and become the seed of world power.

Tens of thousands of Jews entered the Palestinian territories to celebrate the Jewish scriptures

Tens of thousands of Jewish worshipers entered the city of Hevron, a Palestinian town in the disputed territories, to celebrate the Jewish scriptures with the reading of the Torah - the portion found in Genesis 23 - a record of Abraham 4,000 years ago purchasing a burial site for his wife and himself.

David Wilder, spokesperson for the Jewish community of about 1,000 living in Hevron, says this gathering shows the tremendous support the Jewish people have for residents of Hevron and reaffirms their commitment to live in this biblical city. The high point of this large gathering of Jews in Hevron is the reading of Genesis 23 on the exact spot where biblical history took place some 4,000 years ago.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Tens of thousands of Jews gathered in Hevron reading Genesis 23 is evidence that the Jews do have a claim to the land of Israel as promised in Bible prophecy.

Annually, tens of thousands of Jewish worshipers ascend to Hevron in the disputed territories of Israel to read a portion of the Torah, Genesis 23 - a record of the Jewish right to the land. Hevron's Jewish community of around 1,000 Jews surrounded by 150,000 Palestinian Arabs has been a controversial spot for centuries with the Jews claiming their biblical and legal right to the land in Hevron. They say that the Jewish scriptures found in Genesis 23 gives them the title deed to this piece of real estate.

Bible prophecy confirms this Jewish claim for not only Hevron and the Machpelah Cave, but all the land that God promised Abraham and the Jews forever. Genesis 15 and 38 other portions of scripture, reveals that God promised the Jews 10 times what they have today, which includes: half of Egypt, all of Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria, half of Iraq and 3/4 of Saudi Arabia. In Ezekiel 34 God said 18 times that He would give the Jews this land in the Last Days. Deuteronomy 30 is a record of the Land Covenant God made with the Jewish people.

Tens of thousands of Jews in Hevron reading Genesis 23 is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Spain, France, and Italy say peace between Israel and the Palestinians means peace on the international scene

Spain's Prime Minister (PM) says his country will sponsor a new Middle East peace initiative along with France and Italy stressing that the international community cannot remain idle as violence rages between Israel and the Palestinians.

Stating that world leaders cannot remain impassive in the face of the horror that continues to unfold, the Spanish PM said that peace between Israel and the Palestinians means to a large extent, peace on the international scene. Europeans are looking for a greater voice in world affairs particularly after midterm US elections and what they view as voters punishing President Bush.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

As European leaders vie for a greater voice in world affairs and offer a new peace initiative for the Middle East, they move closer to the scenario that is found in Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

The European Union (EU) has made great headway in its efforts to have a greater voice in world affairs, and in particular in the Middle East when the United Nations (UN) gave the leadership role for the peace keeping forces in Southern Lebanon to the EU. Now there is talk among member states of the EU to lead a peace keeping force in the Gaza Strip. Couple these realities with the new Middle East peace initiative put forward by Spain, France, and Italy and one can see the EU asserting its influence in the Middle East, which they say will have international repercussions.

This report brings into focus a scenario that is found in Bible prophecy that foretold the European impact on world events during the End Times. Daniel, the prophet and John the apostle both ancient Jewish prophets reveal this scenario for the Last Days. Daniel 7 is the unfolding of the Gentile world powers from the Babylonian Empire to the period of the revived Roman Empire, the major player in the Last Days.

John, the writer of Revelation, in chapter 13 unfolds this same scenario for the revived Roman Empire, most likely the EU today, a scenario where the revived Roman Empire will work for peace in the Middle East as Spain, France, and Italy envision.

Iranian newspapers claim the 'great war' to wipe out Israel is coming

Iranian newspapers have urged Muslims around the world to prepare for a 'great war' to destroy the state of Israel stating that Hezbollah destroyed at least half of Israel in the Lebanon war and now only half the path to its destruction remains.

The Iranian newspaper editorials said that in the 33-day war more than 50% of Israel was destroyed and it is likely that in the next battle, the second half will collapse. The editorials stated that the 'great war' is ahead of us and will break out perhaps tomorrow, or in another few days, or in a few months, or even in a few years. According to the Ayatollah Khomeini, 'Israel must collapse'.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The editorials in Iranian newspapers are indeed correct, a great war is coming to Israel and it could be very soon according to Bible prophecy.

The latest radical rhetoric coming from Iran in the form of newspaper editorials is calling for Muslims around the world to join together to prepare for the 'great war' to destroy Israel. The time frame for this war according to the editorials could be within several days and not any longer than within a few years. The papers' aim to incite the Muslim world with the exhortation to prepare for the 'great war' to completely wipe out Israel and remove this cancerous growth.

Interestingly, these editorials are in line with the prophetic scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy. Ezekiel 38 lists the nations who will come against Israel, all Islamic and including Iran.
Daniel 11 also mentions the same nations, but includes other Muslim nations, as does Psalm 83. Joel 2:3 states that a massive militia will come against Israel at the beginning of the seven year long Tribulation Period.

The truth is that the Muslim world today is the only one who put together this mighty army to fulfill this ancient prophecy.

Former Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu says Iranian President Ahmadinejad is preparing another Holocaust

Speaking at a General Assembly of United Jewish Communities in Los Angeles, Benjamin Netanyahu urged the world to stop Iranian President Ahmadinejad who is preparing another Holocaust as the Islamic republic is racing to arm itself with nuclear weapons.

Speaking on Israeli army radio, Netanyahu said that Israel possesses the military capabilities necessary for curbing by itself the Iranian nuclear threat, declining to specify what this entails.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The warning by former Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu that Iranian President Ahmadinejad is preparing another Holocaust for the Jewish people is in perfect alignment with Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

With the continuing radical rhetoric of Iranian President Ahmadinejad focused on the Jewish state of Israel, the world is witnessing the buildup to what Benjamin Netanyahu calls another Holocaust. In his recent speech, the former Israeli PM said that it's 1938 and Iran is Germany. Netanyahu said that the world must believe Ahmadinejad and stop him, everything else pales before this.

Netanyahu's warning is valid in light of the prophetic scenario for the Last Days that can be found in Bible prophecy. The ancient Jewish prophets, Ezekiel and Zechariah both speak to this issue. Ezekiel names Iran, the Persia of Ezekiel 38:5, as a key player in the alignment of nations to come against the Jewish state at the time of the End. Zechariah refers to a period of time yet in the future when two out of every three Jews will be killed, that's Zechariah 13:8. The Tribulation, that period of time coming, is also described in the book of Revelation as a time when many Jews will die, that's Revelation 12:13-17.

Benjamin Netanyahu's warning that Ahmadinejad is preparing for another Holocaust is correct biblically.

The Army of Islam has been formed in the Gaza Strip

The Army of Islam, a Palestinian Muslim terror group aligned with the ideology of al Qaeda, has been formed in the Gaza Strip and they say the plan is to aim their attacks against the enemies of Islam and their collaborators among the Arab states as well in addition to their attacks concentrated on Israeli occupation of Muslim lands.

Abu Mohammed, the leader of the Army of Islam, says that Jihad, Islamic holy war, will be the main tool and weapon against the US initiated new Middle East when the day comes to fight and he believes that day is not so far away. Abu Mohammed says the ultimate goal is the Islamic state for everybody, a state ruled by Sharia Law that will replace the corrupted states founded by the West.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The newly formed Army of Islam in the Gaza Strip is a precursor to the fulfillment of a prophetic scenario that is found in Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

The vision of Abu Mohammed, the leader of the Army of Islam, is for an Islamic kingdom over all the world to be in place and under Sharia Law in the near future. Abu Mohammed believes the best and quickest way to bring his vision to reality is Jihad, Islamic holy war, and his Army of Islam is ready to bring the battle. This idea of an army of Islam is the same focus of the leader of Saudi Arabia, King Abdullah, who proposed several years ago that the Muslim world must unite and form a mighty Muslim militia. Another King Abdullah, the king of Jordan, endorsed the Saudi leader's proposal and called for the formation of an army of Islam.

The newly formed Muslim militia in the Gaza Strip, the Army of Islam, is on the direct course called for in Bible prophecy for the End Times. Joel, an ancient Jewish prophet, spoke of a mighty militia that will form in the Last Days to attack Jerusalem and the Jewish state, a military might the size of which the world has never seen and will never see again, that's found in Joel 2:2-3.

The only people on earth that could form that size of a military is the Muslim world and the Army of Islam is evidence that Bible prophecy is near fulfillment.

An Israeli official says the IDF must be ready to stop Iran at any cost

The newly installed Deputy Minister of Defense in Israel, Ephraim Sneh, believes that sanctions against Iran are unlikely to work; therefore, Israel must be ready to stop Iran's drive for a Nuclear Weapon of Mass Destruction (WMD).

The Deputy Defense Minister, a former Israeli Defense Force (IDF) brigadier-general described as untenable the scenario of Israel living under a dark cloud of fear from a leader, Iranian President Ahmadinejad, who is committed to Israel's destruction.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The dramatic statement by Israel's deputy defense minister that they must stop Iran at any cost is a scenario found in Bible prophecy for the End Times.

The radical rhetoric from Iran's President Ahmadinejad over the last two years has confirmed the Israeli assessment that Iran is today the major threat to the Jewish state. Iranian President Ahmadinejad's declaration that the Holocaust never happened and his proclamation to the Islamic world that they must rise up and remove Israel from this world and forget their name forever has incited the radical Islamic street to fulfill these pronouncements.

As world leaders grapple with how to deal with the potential for this Islamic republic to have a Nuclear WMD, Israel sits on the sideline in fear that a nuclear-powered Iran would follow through on its threats to destroy the Jewish state. This report and the statement by Deputy Defense Minister Sneh fits the scenario that is found in Bible prophecy for the Last Days. The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel spoke of Iran as a major player in the Last Days who will attack the Jewish state, that's Ezekiel 38:5 where Persia is used as the biblical name for the modern-day state of Iran. The Psalmist in Psalm 83 reveals that Iran will be joined by Syria, Assur in Psalm 83:8, and Lebanon, Tyre in Psalm 83:7, to cut Israel off from being a nation, Psalm 83:4.

Israel's concerns about Iran's threat are well founded.

The Sanhedrin issues an edict against the Gay Pride Parade scheduled for Jerusalem

A panel of very prestigious rabbis in Israel who have reformed the Sanhedrin - a supreme religious judicial body - has issued an edict against the planned Gay Pride Parade scheduled to have taken place in Jerusalem an event that has already caused widespread protest by the religious Jewish community and even some Islamic clerics have voiced opposition to the parade.

The edict, signed by three members of the Sanhedrin, said that those who revere the Word of the Lord will not allow for this event to happen and if they do, their transgression is great and will be judged by the heavenly throne.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The fact that the newly reformed supreme religious judicial body known as the Sanhedrin issued an edict against the proposed Gay Pride Parade is evidence that the End Times are closer than ever before, that is according to Bible prophecy.

For some time, religious Jews in Israel have been protesting the proposed Gay Pride Parade with widespread demonstrations in an effort to keep the parade from proceeding in Jerusalem. Calling such an event in the holy city of Jerusalem an abomination, the leaders of the religious Jewish community promised a major counter demonstration accompanied by violence if the parade was allowed to take place. The language of the Sanhedrin's ruling sounds remarkably similar to those rulings of 2,000 years ago when the Sanhedrin was the highest court in the Jewish world. In the fall of 2004, the Sanhedrin reformed after 1,400 years and now reside in Jerusalem where they believe they will play a major role in the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple and the election of the high priest to serve in that coming Temple.

Bible prophecy agrees that in the Last Days there will once again be on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem a Jewish Temple, that's found in Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4, and Revelation 11:1-2.

This edict issued by the Sanhedrin is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Israeli media source: Americans are no longer willing to pay the price of war

On the hills of an overwhelming victory for Democrats in the American elections, an Israeli media source reported the Israeli perspective that Americans have reached the conclusion they are no longer willing to pay the price for war.

Democrats captured more than enough congressional seats to seize control of the House and Israeli sources see the US electorate repudiating the Bush administration's handling of the uncompromising war against terrorists centered in Iraq. Those Arab and Islamic terrorist organizations around the world who endorsed the Democrats are pleased to see one country after another signaling the Arab-Muslim world that terror does pay big time.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

There are those who see the US election results as a call for a different Middle Eastern policy, a policy that could leave Israel standing alone against the Islamic terrorists of our world. True or false, this is a scenario that will come about in the future, according to Bible prophecy.

The citizens of the US handed the Bush administration and its Middle East policies a clear message: "This is not the direction we want to go." The US electorate, or at least the majority of them lined up with the Islamic terrorists that endorsed the Democrats for the 2006 election, or at least that's what the terrorists now believe. The Islamic terrorist organizations see more and more peoples and nations around the world caving in and leaning towards a policy of appeasement to protect themselves and their security and national interest from the threat of Islamic and Arab terrorism. The bottom-line is that Israel will soon be abandoned to fight global terrorism by itself, a scenario that fits Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

The ancient Jewish prophets: Daniel, Ezekiel, Isaiah, and Jeremiah, and even the Psalmist reveal a time in history when the enemies of Israel will rise up to destroy the Jewish state.

Daniel 11, Ezekiel 38, Jeremiah 45-51, and Psalm 83 list the nations that will align themselves against Israel.

Middle Eastern terror groups call for a change in the Bush government as Americans go to the polls

For the last several weeks, the leaders of the radical Islamic terror groups in the Middle East have called for Americans to bring about a change in the present Bush government, believing such a change would see a dramatic change in US-Middle Eastern policy.

Islamic leaders of Hamas, Hezbollah, and the insurgency in Iraq see an opportunity for a new US government to pull back from its plans to implement democracy in the Middle East and a reduction of its efforts to win the war on terrorism. These radical Islamic leaders see the unpopularity of President Bush and his Middle Eastern policies the key to their foreign policy changes that will open a door for their resistance to make headway in the short-term not only in the Middle East, but around the world.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

As American go to the polls, the reality of human government as a major player in the End Times comes better into focus as revealed in Bible prophecy.

The God-given responsibility of casting your vote and electing the human leaders of your nation will be center stage around the world as Americans exercise that fundamental right. The heated debates along the campaign trail have excited an electorate that will make its wishes known to the Bush administration in the voting booth.

The US elections are a tangible proof of God's plan down through history and His plan for the future. It was God who established the institution of human government, Genesis 9:6 and the One who puts those in charge in their positions of leadership, that's Romans 13:1. God has used human government to fulfill His will in the past, and will do so in the future, Revelation 17:17.

In fact, it is the misuse of human government that will bring about the End Times and the return of Jesus Christ, as revealed in Revelation 18 where we have the prophetic scenario of a one-world economic, governmental, political system under the Devil's control and headquartered in Iraq, that is the end game for this world.

Baghdad remains under tight security after Saddam Hussein was found guilty and sentenced to death for crimes against humanity

An Iraqi court found Saddam Hussein guilty of crimes against humanity for the slaughter of Shiite Muslims and the former Iraqi leader was sentenced to death by hanging.

To counter the possible outbreak of violence, Iraqi officials implemented a curfew on Baghdad that has resulted in a tense calm with streets of the city deserted despite fears that a guilty verdict could fuel sectarian violence. The mandatory appeals process for Saddam is expected to take only a few weeks and if the sentence is upheld, execution of Saddam must be carried out within 30 days of the decision.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The guilty verdict of Saddam Hussein and the sentence of death by hanging of the former Iraqi leader is a page out of Bible prophecy for the End Times.

Over the last year the trial of Saddam Hussein has been watched by the world and has been somewhat of a drama being played out on a public stage. The precedings of the Iraqi High Court have been focused on only one of many crimes against humanity during Saddam's reign as the dictatorial leader of the Iraqi peoples made up of the Sunni and Shiite Muslims and the Kurds. The truth is, the slaughter of hundreds and thousands of Kurds, the more horrific crimes against humanity, crimes that are now being judged by Iraqi courts.

This report is evidence that Bible prophecy is coming better into focus day by day. Jesus in His Olivet Discourse recorded in Matthew 24, warned that He would come back when the world would be as it was in the days of Noah, that's Matthew24:37. Those days of Noah after the Flood, 350 years of days in those days, the world was focused on the area where Noah and in fact the entire population of the world were living; they were living in Babylon, a city built by Noah's great grandson, Nimrod, that's Genesis 11:4.

Babylon in biblical times is today modern-day Iraq, which indeed was the focus of the world in Noah's day as it is today.

Scientists call for "Evidence-Based" teaching of evolution in schools

A statement signed by 67 national science academies says evidence of the origins of life is being concealed, denied, or confused and the world's top scientists are calling for "Evidence-Based" teaching of evolution in schools.

These scientists say the key facts of evolution, which they claim is scientific evidence which has never been contradicted, also includes the fact that the earth is 4.5 billion years old and the onset of life was at least 2.5 billion years ago.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The world's top scientists believe that every classroom must teach "Evidence-Based" evolution to explain the origins of man, which is in reality a precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy for the Last Days. There has been growing concern within the scientific community that children are not being taught basic facts on evolution and the nature of scientific inquiry.

The world's top scientists say in some countries the simple theory of evolution is denied in the teaching of children in schools. Now, these scientists want evidence based evolution taught in all schools.

I must remind you, it is indeed the theory of evolution and it never has been determined scientifically to be absolute. It is still a theory. This report is however, evidence that Jesus Christ is preparing to come back to the earth, seemingly in the near future. The Apostle Peter, in the content of his last book, II Peter 3:2-7, wrote that in the Last Days supposedly intelligent people will be willingly ignorant, or actually dumb on purpose, ignorant of the truth of the biblical account of Creation and the origins of all of life, all that is in our universe.

The denial by the world's top scientists that the God of the Bible created everything in six 24-hour days around 6,000 years ago is evidence that Jesus Christ is coming soon.

The book of Genesis is being read in synagogues in Israel and aound the world to confirm the Jewish claim for the land of Israel

At this time of the year, synagogues around the world are reading the biblical book of Genesis in an act of confirmation for Jewish claims on the land that they say God promised to the Jewish people through the Jewish patriarch, Abraham and passed down through Isaac and Jacob to the Jews today.

Genesis 12-17 will be read aloud in the synagogues detailing the divinely commanded journeys of the patriarch, Abraham from his father's house in Mesopotamia, modern-day Iraq, to the land of Israel. The Torah portion found in Genesis 23 detailing the purchase of the Machpelah Cave in Hevron will also be read as thousands of Jews follow tradition by flocking to Hevron for the occasion.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

As Jewish worshipers around the world read the biblical book of Genesis in their synagogues, they confirm the Jewish claim for the land of Israel today which is also confirmed in Bible prophecy.

Every year religious Jews read through the Torah - the first five books of the Old Testament - and have done so as long as they have had their Holy Scriptures. In the fall of the year, the reading will be done in the book of Genesis, as they start the reading cycle over again at the first of the Jewish year.

The biblical account found in Genesis 12-17 reveals the Jewish patriarch, Abraham's journey from his home in Ur of the Chaldees, along the Euphrates River, up over the Fertile Crescent, and down into what was then called Canaan, today called Israel. In Genesis 15, God made a promise to Abraham and his descendants through Isaac and Jacob - the line of promise - that all the land Abraham could see would be his and his descendants forever. A close look at Genesis 15 and all the other 38 passages of scripture describing the land God promises to the Jews is 10 times what they have today and includes: half of Egypt, all of Israel, Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan, three quarters of Iraq, and three quarters of Saudi Arabia.

The reading of Genesis and the prophetic passages of the Bible in Jewish synagogues will indeed confirm that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Despite a signed peace treaty, Egypt considers Israel an enemy state

Even though it's been 27 years since Israel and Egypt signed a peace treaty - the Camp David Accords - the vast majority of Egyptians still see Israel as an enemy state.

The poll - made public recently - shows that 92% of those Egyptians responding to the poll conducted by an Egyptian state institute sees Israel as an enemy despite the lasting peace agreement between the two countries signed back in 1978. That same poll showed which countries have been crowned as friends of Egypt, a list that includes: Saudi Arabia, Libya, the Palestinian Authority (PA), Sudan, and Syria.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A 27-year old peace treaty between Israel and Egypt that is not working actually sets the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

In September of 1978, then US President Jimmy Carter brokered a peace treaty between Israel and Egypt, two nations that had been mortal enemies for a number of years. The Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and Israeli PM Menachem Begin met with Jimmy Carter at the US Presidential Retreat in Camp David, Maryland and agreed to sign the first-ever peace treaty between Israel and any of her enemies. Hailed as a major breakthrough in efforts to bring peace to the Middle East, this treaty - the Camp David Accords - has not been able to bring about that long sought after peace. This recent poll that shows 92% of the Egyptians consider Israel an enemy state is evidence that though there is a peace treaty on the table between Israel and Egypt, it is not working. This then sets the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The ancient Jewish prophet Daniel wrote of a time when there would be a peace treaty on the table not working, that's found in Daniel 9:27. This prophetic text says that the Antichrist will not sign but confirm a peace treaty, one that is not working. The Hebrew word for confirm found in the text is, "Gabar"which does indeed mean confirm and not sign.

A peace treaty between Israel and Egypt that is not working does indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

A cross-section of Jewish settlers in Israel formed a new organization to defend their homes, families, and land

Saying that, "No one is excited about starting a new movement", a cross-section of Jewish settlers met for the founding session of a new group named, Defenders of the Land - a meeting which was held at the Jewish settlement in Judea called, Beit El - a very historic site in the biblical history of the Jewish people.

Israeli Defense Force officers, political leaders including members of the Knesset, university officials, media people, and members of the Jewish settlers Youth Movement met together at a time that they believe is a time to meet a critical need for the very existence of the Jewish settlers for their homes, their families, and the land that God has given to them. The leaders of this new organization, Defenders of the Land said that if the Israeli government comes to expel the Jewish settlers, they will not go quietly. The government will have to use massive force against them.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The reality that there are Jewish settlers who want to defend their families, their home, and their land in Judea and Samaria - a land that God has given to them - against an Israeli government who wants to expel them from this land is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Since the end of the Six Day War in 1967, there has been a growing number of Jews who have moved into the area of Judea and Samaria, sometimes referred to as the West Bank. Now there are half a million Jews who live in the land that God promised to give the Jewish people in the Last Days. As the Jewish settler population continues to grow, the world is applying pressure to the Israeli government to expel all Jews from Judea and Samaria for the purpose of establishing a Palestinian state.

With the founding of a new movement- the Defenders of the Land- a cross-section of Jewish settlers are saying that they will not leave the land that God has given them which He promised to do in many prophetic passages of the Bible, especially in Ezekiel 34 and 36. Ezekiel 37 reveals that at the time the Jewish people return to the land, there would be a division among the Jewish people, that's Ezekiel 37:15-23. This prophetic passage says there will be two Jewish states, a result of this division: one will be called Israel, the other Judah.

This new Jewish settler movement is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

A Muslim official in Jerusalem admits there were two previous Jewish temples on the Temple Mount

In contradiction to most of his colleagues, a former senior official of the Islamic Trust on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, the Islamic custodians on the temple Mount, says he has come to believe that the first and second Jewish temples existed and stood at the current location of the al Aqsa Mosque.

Supposedly, Islamic custodians passed down stories for centuries from generation to generation, indicating that the mosque was built at the site of the former Jewish temples. This former al Aqsa official says to admit the Jewish temples existed does not forfeit Islamic rights to the Temple Mount. He said that the present mosque completes the divine religion of Islam, the third and last religion.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by an Islamic official in Jerusalem that Jewish temples did once stand on the Temple Mount is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled. The statements from a former senior leader of the Islamic Trust in Jerusalem, the custodians of the Temple Mount, that he believes there have been two Jewish temples on the Temple Mount is inline with all historic and archaeological evidence available today.

Though this statement is in contradiction to what the Islamic world declares, that there has never been a Jewish presence on the Temple Mount much less two previous temples, the belief of this former custodian of the holy site is based upon Islamic tradition passed down from generation to generation.

Not only has there been two previous Jewish temples on the Temple Mount in the past, there will be two additional Jewish temples on the Temple Mount in the future. Daniel 9:27 reveals a temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem during the seven year Tribulation Period, a time of great judgment in the future. By the way, this is also confirmed by Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4, and Revelation 11:1-2.

Zechariah, another ancient Jewish prophet, wrote in chapter 1 verse 16 and chapter 6 verses 12 and 13 that the Messiah, Jesus Christ, will come back to Jerusalem and build His Temple where He will rule and reign from during the 1000 year Kingdom yet to come. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The largest Islamic television outlet in Europe says that Zionism is cancer

The London based Islam channel, the largest Islamic television outlet in Europe, posted a debate recently titled, "Why anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism", and it was filmed against a backdrop reading, "Zionism- The Cancer at the Heart of International Affairs."

The discussion was chaired by Alan Hart, a former BBC correspondent, who said that the propaganda used by the Jews is that Israel faces annihilation and they have fears of being pushed into the sea, which he said was a myth.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The declaration that Zionism is the cancer at the heart of international affairs is a precursor to the scenario for Israel in the Last Days, according to Bible prophecy. According to participants at the recent conference hosted by the Islam channel that informed honest debate on the Middle East has been stifled because of a fear of being accused of anti-Semitism.

One participant in the discussion, a former consultant of the Palestinian Authority, said that Zionism, the return of the Jews to Zion, to Israel, was a total disaster for the Arab world and that nothing positive or beneficial has come from it. The leader of the discussion said that it was a myth that Jews face annihilation and they have fears of being pushed into the sea.

However, according to Bible prophecy, an attempt to annihilate all Jews and push them into the sea is exactly what will happen, possibly in the near future. Daniel 11:40-45, Ezekiel 38, and Psalm 83 all reveal that a coalition of Arab and Muslim states will endeavor to annihilate the Jews at the very beginning of the seven year period of time known as the Tribulation, a time of intense judgment. Zechariah 13:8 says that two out of every three Jews will be killed during that seven years. Revelation 12:13-17 says that Satanic forces will endeavor to kill all Jews everywhere.

These biblical truths are not a myth. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
