Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas proclaims that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of a Palestinian state

Listen to Today's Program Play

Mahmoud Abbas who claims now to be the President of the state of Palestine after the UN General Assembly upgraded the Palestinian UN delegation has proclaimed that the Palestinian state is a state with a capital city named Jerusalem which Abbas calls the eternal capital of Palestine.

This pronouncement was made to the cheers of the Palestinian people and was totally rejected by the Israeli government.

With both peoples, the Palestinians and the Israelis claiming Jerusalem as their capital city the conflict surrounding the city of Jerusalem will only intensify.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

When the Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas announced that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the state of Palestine he set the stage for a number of lines of prophecy for the end of times to be fulfilled.

Just days after the UN General Assembly voted in favor of upgrading the Palestinian delegation to the UN to a state status, the Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas announced to the world not only did the Palestinian people have a state called Palestine, but he proclaimed that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of this Palestinian state. This proclamation is in the face of the statements by all previous prime ministers of Israel, all the way back to the very first one, David Ben Gurion when he claimed that Jerusalem is the undivided, eternal capital of the Jewish people.

According to the Bible, the second King of Israel, King David captured the Jebusite stronghold called Jerusalem and made this fortress city the political capital of the Jewish people and that happened 3000 years ago and is recorded in II Samuel 5. King David was also given a covenant by God, the Davidic Covenant, II Samuel 7, that promised the Jewish people Jerusalem forever. Zechariah 1 reveals that the Messiah, Jesus Christ, will come back to Jerusalem and build His Temple in the holy city. Zechariah also said that Jerusalem will be a city of controversy until Jesus Christ does come back, Zechariah 12:2. In fact, when Jesus does return to the earth, He comes to the Mount of Olives in the city of Jerusalem, Zechariah 14:4.

The Bible reveals events of the last days as it relates to Jerusalem, all prophecies that will be fulfilled.

A Muslim cleric has called for the destruction of the US and the EU and a Muslim kingdom to be setup in Jerusalem

Listen to Today's Program Play

The Friday sermon by a radical Muslim cleric in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount has the world paying attention. The cleric stated that Islam will destroy the US and the EU and setup an Islamic kingdom in Jerusalem. David Dolan, longtime journalist in Jerusalem reports to us about this provocative statement

David Dolan: Definitely provocative Jimmy but it's something we have been hearing not necessarily from the site of the ancient Jewish Temple itself but certainly from many mosques around the region. We have had such calls made before, I don't know that it ever included a call for the destruction of the US though. It's considered of course officially one of 13 holy sites, Mecca of course being number 1 in Arabia, Medina where Mohammed was buried number 2, and then Jerusalem is ranked 3.

They believe that their triumph what the Koran says, the triumph of Islam over the infidels over Judaism and Christianity and other faiths, the fact that Mohammed is the final prophet as they see it, etc. as written out in the Koran and that was all proof to be the case by their conquest of Jerusalem soon after Mohammed's death. That site's very important. This is just another step towards that worldwide move to bring in a caliphate and to unite all of the Arab-Muslim countries under one banner, provocative and it's something Israel has to keep a close eye on and so does the rest of the world.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The call for an Islamic kingdom headquartered in Jerusalem is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Islamic eschatology does call for a worldwide kingdom that will be based in Jerusalem. The Mahdi, Arabic for messiah, will rule this Islamic caliphate, a worldwide Islamic kingdom from Jerusalem. The Biblical Kingdom will be setup in Jerusalem according to Zechariah 1:16 when Jesus Christ comes back. He will come to Jerusalem, build His Temple, and then He will rule and reign from that Temple, Zechariah 6:13. He will do that in fulfillment of the Davidic Covenant, a promise to King David that there will be a Kingdom forever on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, II Samuel 7.

The Islamic call for a kingdom in Jerusalem is simply setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

A Jewish rabbi in Jerusalem is calling for Jews to stop praying at the Western Wall

Listen to Today's Program Play

Rabbi Yehuda Glick, of an organization called "The Movement for the Establishment of the Temple", says that the Jewish people have become psychologically connected, over the centuries, to the Western Wall of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem because the rebuilding of the temple seems like an impossible task. Rabbi Glick says that about 25 years ago Jews started to ascend to the Temple Mount even though it was a very small group but now hundreds are now on a regular basis going up on to the Temple Mount to offer their prayers.

The rabbi is now calling for Jews to unite and make every effort to go on to this sacred location for every Jew, the Temple Mount, and become focused on the rebuilding of the next temple in Jerusalem.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The call by a rabbi in Jerusalem to ascend to the Temple Mount in preparation for the next Jewish temple on this sacred site, is the next step to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Rabbi Yehuda Glick for a number of years directed the efforts of the Temple Institute to prepare for the building of the next Jewish temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. The Temple Institute has all the implements needed to operate the temple including the knowledge of the location of the Ark of the Covenant. All 28,000 priests, to be used in the next temple, have been trained and even their priestly garments are either made or being made right now.

However, Rabbi Glick now believes it is time to prepare the Jewish people to become accustomed to ascending the Temple Mount, not only for learning and prayer, but to be involved in the Temple practices as well. That's why he says no more prayers at the Western Wall but instead, let's go up on to the Temple Mount.

God's prophetic Word does say that in the last days the Messiah, Jesus Christ, will return to build the temple on the Temple Mount (Zechariah 1:16, 6:12). That temple built by the Messiah will be His kingdom temple where He reigns for 1000 years. However, before the Messiah's temple is built on the Temple Mount there will be a Tribulation temple (Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4, and Revelation 11:1).

Jews ascending onto the Temple Mount today are actually setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Jews in Jerusalem and around the world are celebrating Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year

Listen to Today's Program Play

Rosh Hashanah, the New Year for the Jewish people marks 5775 on the Jewish calendar and is one of the seven Jewish feasts days that the Jews celebrate on a yearly basis. It is a feast also known as the Feast of Trumpets, a Holy day that is very family oriented in the Jewish community.

The Jews believe that it was 5,775 years ago when God created the heavens, the earth and all that in them is, a fact that lends itself to the belief that we are living on a young earth.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Rosh Hashanah not only marks the New Year for the Jewish people but it is also the day that Jesus Christ will return to the earth, that is according to Bible prophecy.

As hundreds of shofars, which is the rams horn, are being blown in Jerusalem at the Western Wall,
Jews mark the first of the three fall feast days; the Feasts of Trumpets, known also as Rosh Hashanah, or the New Year. Jews celebrate 5775 as their New Year. Jews also believe that 5,775 years ago the Lord created the heavens, the earth and all that in them is.

God's chosen people also believe that the act of Creation took place on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, which orthodox Jewish scholarship believes is the original sight of the Garden of Eden, Isaiah 51:3 and Ezekiel 36:35.

According to the record of scripture, Jesus Christ fulfilled the prophetic significance of the four spring Jewish Feasts. Jesus Christ was crucified on Passover, He was buried on Unleavened Bread, He resurrected on First Fruits and the Holy Spirit came to Jerusalem on the Feast of Pentecost, as the Lord had promised.

The next Feast to be fulfilled will be the Feast of Trumpets, or Rosh Hashanah, and that happens when Jesus Christ comes back to the earth, I'm not talking about the Rapture of the Church, I am talking about the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, and that is the time when Jesus will tell the angel to blow the trumpet and call a solemn assembly, that's found in Matthew 24:31.

This Rosh Hashanah, the New Year for the Jewish people, the Feast of Trumpets is indeed a reminder that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

An Israeli preemptive strike on Iran could happen at any moment

Listen to Today's Program Play

The world seems to be accepting the Iranian president as a moderate, a leader who wants to live at peace with its neighbors, the Israelis however disagree, they believe that President Rouhani is a bad man with an evil agenda as it relates to a Nuclear Weapon of Mass Destruction.

Dave Dolan: This man wrote a book in which he said we must launch a charm offensive, we must look more peaceable and look more respectable and speak more softly and at the same time according to the book we can continue with our nuclear program and get what we want in which case he was endorsing the nuclear program. Netanyahu is saying look, he's following his own clearly spelled out game plan here.

They are just likely to launch a military operation frankly certainly if they feel very, very isolated and I think that's what Mr. Netanyahu has been saying. I think it could be very close Jimmy and I've heard that from others too and that's not only because of this diplomatic process and what Israel sees as a very flawed agreement but also because we have this report from Washington a couple weeks ago they can assembly a bomb within about a month to six weeks once they decide to do it. That's all the time it would take Iran is what this nuclear institute said. They said this independently, they are former inspectors, so yes, I think something could be imminent over in that area.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The tensions in the Middle East between Israel and Iran is actually setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Even under the new moderate Iranian leadership, this Islamic republic continues to prepare a Nuclear Weapon of Mass Destruction. Though world leaders believe that they can control Iran and the development of this nuclear WMD, Bible prophecy denies that is the case.

In Ezekiel 38:5 Iran will help form the coalition that will attack the Jewish state of Israel to try to destroy them, but instead of Israel being wiped off the face of the earth, Iran will be wiped out, Ezekiel 38:18-39:6. That passage of Scripture deals with how the God of Heaven will protect the Jewish people, His chosen people from total annihilation by an alignment of nations including the Islamic republic of Iran.

As Iran prepares to destroy Israel, Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The Middle East nation of Iran has stepped up its crackdown on Christians

Listen to Today's Program Play

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has stepped up its campaign on Christians in its nation and Iranian Christians are in a dire situation concerned that this militant Muslim army will close down their churches and even imprison or kill the Christians living in this Islamic republic.

In Iran, the death penalty is imposed on those who convert from Islam to Christianity and those who embrace Christianity are targeted for persecution and even death.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The crackdown on Christians in Iran, and in fact across the entire Middle East, is only the tip of the iceberg as it relates to believers in Christ being persecuted in the last days according to Bible prophecy.

There have been a number of reports coming out of the Middle East that there has been an increase in the attacks on churches and Christians in this region of the world. A high ranking Muslim cleric in Saudi Arabia recently issued a fatwah calling for Muslims to attack all churches, kill Christians and in fact rid the Middle East of Christianity. Now, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, the militia of the supreme council of Iran, has increased their persecution of Iranian Christians and the closing down of churches in Iran.

The biblical book of Revelation written by the Apostle John records prophecies of the martyrdom of believers in Christ during the seven years of great judgment on the earth called the Tribulation. When Satan and his evil angels are thrown out of Heaven, Revelation 12, the Devil will try to eliminate all of those who stand for Jesus Christ. At the end of the Tribulation, to enter the Kingdom and rule and reign with Jesus Christ, Revelation 20:4. In addition, Jews who believe in Jesus Christ will be the focus of Satanic persecution as well during that period of time referred to as the Time of Jacob's Trouble, Revelation 12:13-17.

Iranian persecution of Christians is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

There is a new Iranian president, but let me remind you Iran's true leadership has an apocalyptic policy by which the government operates

Listen to Today's Program Play

Iran has elected a new president, Hasan Rowhani, who some say is somewhat of a moderate, however the true power in the government of Iran lies in the Supreme Council made up of the ayatollahs and Ayatollah Khomenei is the leader of the Iranian state, and I must tell you that the Supreme Council has an apocalyptic policy by which they govern the country of Iran. More on that background from Ken Timmerman our broadcast partner in Washington, D.C.

Shiite eschatology as practiced by the Iranian regime, which by the way is not the same as all Shiites, believes that they can trigger the return of Imam Mahdi, this mystical twelfth Imam who has been hiding at the bottom of a well since AD 941 and when he returns he will lead a victorious Muslim army to Jerusalem and conquer the world for Islam. Now, they believe through their actions they can hasten the return of the Imam Mahdi. Ahmadinejad has said that, so has Hamenei and so has many of the top clerics in the country. They way they do that Jimmy is by triggering mass destruction around the world, now that can be with a nuclear weapon, violence in various countries, revolutions or what have you. They believe their actions can actually bring this about.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Shiite Muslims have an eschatology based on what the Iranian leadership, the Supreme Council, have as their policy for leading the government of the nation of Iran. It is called an apocalyptic policy. What that calls for is a scenario that will bring forth the Mahdi, Arabic for messiah, and he will come about as the twelfth Imam out of the country and when he comes to power he will go to Jerusalem to setup a worldwide caliphate, Arabic for dominion or kingdom.

That is in contradiction to Biblical eschatology which says that Jesus Christ will come back and setup His Kingdom in the city of Jerusalem.

Iran's eschatology though wrong, is actually setting the stage for Biblical eschatology to be fulfilled. That stage is set, the actors in place, the curtain about to go up on the last drama.

Palestinian officials deny the Koran in order to declare there was never a Jewish Temple in Jerusalem

Listen to Today's Program Play

For years, the PA leaders have denied Jewish history both in ancient Judea and Samaria and in Jerusalem in particular with historical revisionism centering on the denial that a Jewish Temple ever existed in Jerusalem as they consistently refer to the Temple as the alleged temple.

This Palestinian claim that the temple never existed contradicts the Koran where it mentions in Sura 17:2-7 the destruction of both the first and second Jewish temples in Jerusalem. The Palestinians accuse Israel of forging a false Jewish history in order to Judaize the Temple Mount so they can destroy al Aqsa Mosque and build a Jewish temple on this holy site.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Palestinian claim that there never was a Jewish temple in Jerusalem is a contradiction of history and archaeological record and it does set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

For years, the propaganda of the Palestinian leadership in Israel has been focused on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and the declaration that there has never been a Jewish temple on this holy site sacred to the Jewish people. Palestinian claims of the Jews forging Jewish history for the Temple Mount are in the face of impeccable Jewish and Christian sources, plus these claims go against the archaeological record documented for this area.

In fact, these claims by the Palestinians of no temple in Jerusalem contradict the statements of Jesus Christ who not only taught on the Temple Mount at the temple, but predicted in Matthew 24:2 that the temple would be destroyed as it was in 70AD by the Roman army. These Palestinian statements about the Temple Mount not being Jewish denies their own holy book, the Koran, but also confirms the prophetic scenario for the last days that can be found in Bible prophecy.

Zechariah, the ancient Jewish prophet, revealed the future when he wrote that Jerusalem will be the center of controversy in the end times, Zechariah 12:2. He also wrote of another Jewish temple that will be built there on the temple Mount in Jerusalem by the Messiah, Jesus Christ, Zechariah 6:12.

Palestinian claims aside, Bible prophecy will indeed be fulfilled.

A Palestinian official says that the Bible is totally irrelevant in determining a Jewish persons right to live in his ancient homeland, Israel

Listen to Today's Program Play

Dr. Hussein Ibish, a senior fellow at the American Task Force on Palestine, said in Washington recently, that the Bible is an ancient holy book that is totally irrelevant to the Palestinian Authority's aim to take over all of Judea and Samaria from the Jews to establish their state called Palestine.

The Palestinian Authority has claimed that Jews have stolen the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and Rachel's Tomb near Bethlehem and many other Jewish holy sites which have a Biblical history dating back over 4000 years.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Palestinian official who claims that the Bible has no authority in the decision process to determine who lives in Judea and Samaria or any other part of Israel is absolutely wrong that is according to Bible prophecy.

Dr. Hussein Ibish, senior fellow at the American Task Force on Palestine, makes a claim that contradicts the Bible when he said recently that the decision makers working to determine who has a right to live in the Biblical lands of Judea and Samaria should not use the Bible in this process. Ibish says the Bible is an ancient Jewish holy book that is irrelevant to the discussions on the ownership of these ancient Biblical lands even though the Bible has an undeniable record of 4000 years of Jewish history in the land that God gave to the Jewish people.

In Leviticus 25:23, Moses wrote, directed by God, that the land in question was actually His land, God's land, never to be sold or given away, and it says that God gave to the Jews the responsibility as caretakers of His land. Though the Jews did not control this land for almost 2000 years, God had Ezekiel, the ancient Jewish prophet, to write that He, God, would give the land to the Jews when they returned to the land of their forefathers in the end of times (Ezekiel 34:14, 36:10-11). In fact, the Lord said that He did not make this promise and fulfill it because of the Jews, but because He, the Lord did this for His holy namesake (Ezekiel 36:22).

The Palestinians can continue to claim their ownership of a land promised to the Jewish people and even use an armed struggle in order to take the land from the Jews but in the end, the Jewish people will get this land. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The age of America will soon come to an end

Listen to Today's Program Play

The International Monetary Fund, the IMF, recently dropped a bombshell and most of the world is yet to notice that for the first time, this international organization has set a date when the age of America will end and the United States economy will be overtaken by that of China. According to the latest IMF official forecast, China's economy will surpass that of America in real terms, in 2016 which will bring an end to America's leadership in this world.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

America's leadership role in our world today is coming to an end and it could be sooner rather than later, according to Bible prophecy.

For the last several years America has been on a downward spiral economically and it does not seem like any of our political leaders know how to stop the economic disaster that is on the horizon for the United States. A recent report by the International Monetary Fund reveals that by 2016, China will surpass the United States economically and become the world's superpower.

In light of the prophetic scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for the end of times, the IMF report is right on target. America has been great because it has been the launchpad for world evangelization with the manpower, materials, and money needed to reach the world with the gospel message that Jesus Christ is the Savior. The United States has also played the major role in protecting the Jewish people but that key role for America is about to come to and end one way or another.

The IMF forecast is one very viable possibility but I believe the Rapture of the Church, true born again Christians, leaving this world for the heavens will render America inoperative. America has kept the Middle Eastern Islamic nations from attacking and destroying Israel as foretold in Bible prophecy in Daniel 11 and Ezekiel 38.

The rise of the European Union which I do believe is at least the infrastructure for the Revived Roman Empire and the appearance of the world dictator out of the Revived Roman Empire, the Antichrist, as foretold in Daniel 7:7-24 has been held back by a strong United States.

With America on the sidelines, end time Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

An Israeli official says he does not believe there will be a Palestinian State

Listen to Today's Program Play

There is a cabinet member of the Israeli government, Minister Bennett, who says there is no Israeli occupation of a Palestinian State because there never was a Palestinian State. These comments made by the Israeli government minister may actually be giving us indication that the Netanyahu government is moving away from a second state solution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. I ask our broadcast partner Winkie Medad who has a political background and a journalistic background if indeed he thought PM Netanyahu was moving away from a Palestinian State.

Winkie Medad: I think Mister Netanyahu ever since 2009 in  that famous Bar-llan University speech said that the resolution of the conflict would and should be based on two states, a Jewish  State and an Arab State West of the Jordan River. He did make some conditions that Israel would stand very firm on, demilitarized and no refugees inside of Israel just to give two examples, but ever since then to that extent of negotiations have not succeeded in drawing the PA representatives to the table. They do not recognize the Jewish national ethos. We do not have a right to have our own sovereign country. This is a ridiculous situation that people would believe that Israel and the Arabs at the present moment would be able to negotiate peace.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Israeli peace process may or may not bring about a Palestinian State, but Bible prophecy does speak of a second Jewish state and the stage is set for that prophecy to be fulfilled.

Only time will tell if there will be a Palestinian State. The Palestinians are working around the clock endeavoring to bring about a state for their people in a land where there has never been a Palestinian State.

Bible prophecy does tell us that there will be a second state in what is the modern day Jewish State of Israel. Ezekiel 37:15-23 informs us that in the future there will be a second Jewish State. One state will be called Israel, the other, Judah.

This ongoing battle for the Palestinians to establish a Palestinian State, a second state in the region, is only in reality setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The Palestinians held a gathering recently in Ramallah for the coming Mahdi, the Muslim messiah, as he will come to establish a caliphate, a worldwide kingdom, in Jerusalem

Listen to Today's Program Play

Recently in Ramallah, just North of the city of Jerusalem in Israel, the Palestinians held a gathering as they await the coming of the Mahdi, the Muslim messiah. They want a caliphate, a worldwide kingdom, to be setup in Jerusalem. Itamar Marcus, head of Palestinian Media Watch, gives us a report on this gathering.

The important thing to know is that, that belief which is expressed at that rally in Ramallah North of Jerusalem that the Islamic world will subjugate the entire rest of the world under Islam seems to be very mainstream in the Palestinian world. We hear it regularly from the Hamas today, we've heard it in the past on television, we haven't heard it that much recently or at all recently, but I think that is because they know Palestinian Media Watch is listening to them and they've toned down some messages, but we've heard it.

We just know that people are expressing what they believe, what they've been taught. This group in Ramallah wants to have a Muslim caliphate, in other words all of the Muslim world united under one religious leader so they can then go out and conquer the Christian world, the Jewish world. It is probably the greatest challenge that the world, Christianity, Judaism, the Western world will face in the coming years in this Islamic ideology that was expressed in Ramallah. The biggest mistake the West can make is to minimize the threat, to minimize the danger and if we do, we might have a worse outcome.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The coming of the Muslim messiah is close according to Islamic leaders. That is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Islam has an eschatology. They believe there will be a kingdom, a worldwide caliphate, that will be headquartered in the city of Jerusalem, that is part of Islamic eschatology. However, God has promised the Jewish people this Kingdom to be headquartered in the city of Jerusalem, Daniel 7:13-14.

Jesus Christ will rule from that Kingdom headquartered on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, Zechariah 6:13. And He will rule for 1,000 years before we enter into eternity future, Revelation 20:4-6.

Preparations for a false kingdom that will be under the leadership of the Islamic world is simply setting the stage for the true Kingdom under Jesus Christ.

Al Qaeda is calling for Jihad, a holy war

Listen to Today's Program Play

Dr. Al Zawari who is the head of Al Qaeda is calling for a Middle Eastern Jihad, a holy war, and he wants the Islamic world to join him in this battle. Ken Timmerman covers geo-politcal activities for us and he is in Washington, DC with this report.

Ken Timmerman: It is actually a bit funny because Zawari is trying to divert attention from the failure of Al Qaeda in Syria to overthrow Assad and at the same time in this statement he is throwing stones at the Iranians who in the past have been his biggest supporters. Zawari was the man who along with Imad for the Iranians who solidified the Al Qaeda-Iran connection back in the 1990's.

He has historically been the leader in Al Qaeda who has promoted a Sunni-Shia healing process, a unity between Sunnis and Shias and now in fact he is breaking off from that, he is accusing the Iranians of trouble making in Syria and he has essentially joined Yousef Kawadowi, the Palestinian preacher on Al Jazeera who called for a Jihad against Iran and Syria just last week. So, calling for holy war against Israel is just his way of patching up this increasing Sunni-Shia divide trying to divert attention from that and focus it on the Muslims traditional whipping boy.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A call for holy war in the Middle East by Al Qaeda is a precursor to the end time prophetic scenario that is found in Bible prophecy.

There will be a Jihad in the future, a holy war across the entire Middle East and it will focus on the Jewish state of Israel. Ezekiel 38, Daniel 11, and Psalm 83 are the prophecies pertaining to this holy war. This will be an alignment of Islamic states to attack the Jewish state of Israel and only God will be able to save the Jewish people, Ezekiel 38:18-39:6.

As we look at the Middle East according to the report from Ken Timmerman on our broadcast today, we can understand where we are in God's time. All the actors are in place and any student of Bible prophecy can recognize that the curtain is about to go up for that final drama.

In the Middle East with this call for Jihad, a holy war, the stage is set for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu is holding weekly Bible studies

Listen to Today's Program Play

In his speech at the UN General Assembly, Israeli PM Netanyahu quoted many prophetic passages in his address to the UN delegates. Many media people made comment on the usage of Scripture by a world leader at the UN. Prophecy Today broadcast partner David Dolan also was amazed with the PM's usage of prophetic passages of Scripture.

David Dolan: Well Jimmy first of all I thought how remarkable it is that you can have a world leader, a leader of a country on earth who can quote from ancient prophecies about his specific people group being scattered from the land and then returning to the land from all over the earth as he quoted from the various prophets and as he said as the Scriptures say, never to be uprooted from it again.

He was just accurately quoting the Bible. By the way, every week he has a Bible study with his son and they go through the Scriptures. They study them every Saturday, every Sabbath day. He knows the Bible very, very well. I have heard him quote it before and he knows it accurately. He knows the Scriptures.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

PM Netanyahu's knowledge of the Scriptures gives the Israeli leader an understanding of the end of times scenario that is found in Bible prophecy.

Everybody was amazed by the usage of prophetic passages in the speech at the UN by PM Netanyahu of Israel. PM Netanyahu actually sets a great example for all of us to study Bible prophecy as well. When you begin your study of Bible prophecy, you will see that there are four major trends that can be found in the prophetic passages. Number one, the Jews will return to the land of their forefathers. That has been the case over 150 years.

It also talks about nations which will align themselves against the Jewish state of Israel, and as we look at current events unfolding in the Middle East, we know that is the case also. World leaders will work for peace, a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and in fact peace across the entire Middle East. The last trend is that the Jews will prepare to build a Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

As I have talked about these four major trends, the Jews back in the land, Middle Eastern nations aligning themselves against the Jewish state of Israel, world leaders working to bring about peace in the Middle East, and the Jews preparing to build a Temple on the Temple Mount, we see as we look at current events that the stage is being set for each of these trends to be fulfilled.

Japanese astronomers say they have discovered the oldest galaxy in our universe

Listen to Today's Program Play

A team of Japanese astronomers using telescopes on Hawaii say they have seen the oldest galaxy yet discovered which the team says is almost 13 billion light years away from earth and thus the galaxy is at the edge of our universe.

A light year is the distance that light travels in a year at 186,000 miles per second which is about six trillion miles that light would travel each year.

The Japanese astronomers say this latest discovery has enabled them to look back in time and using powerful telescopes will help them to peer deeper and deeper into the dawn of the universe.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A recent discovery of a galaxy almost 13 billion light years from earth is being used as an attack on Bible prophecy and actually the authority of the Bible itself.

The Japanese astronomers that claim they have discovered the oldest galaxy in our universe believe that this discovery has given them the deepest look into the dawn of history thus far by the scientific world. This galaxy is reported to be almost 13 billion light years away from earth at the edge of our universe. Remember, a light year is how far light can travel at 186,000 miles per second in one year and that is around 6 trillion miles which would then be multiplied by 13 billion, an astronomical number.

The use of the term, "Oldest galaxy" by the Japanese astronomers is an attack on the record of Creation found in Genesis 1:6 where it says that the Lord used the term, "and the stars also" to define the creation of stars and all of the galaxies that are in our universe and He did that in one instant. The Apostle Peter warns us that in the last days, the scientific world will attack the concept of biblical Creation because they are "willfully ignorant" of the truth, II Peter 3:5. Peter revealed the denial of the return of Jesus Christ would be present in these days as well because of the ignorant scientists and astronomers, II Peter 3:3-4.

II Peter 3:9 however, says the Lord is not slack concerning His promise to return to earth. He will come back.

A leading rabbinical thinker says Europe is no longer a Christian continent

Listen to Today's Program Play

Rabbi David Rosen, a leading Jewish thinker, says that the continent of Europe has diversified religiously and is no longer a Christian continent since there are now 13 million Muslims and over one million Jews among the 370 million who tell pollsters that they are Christians, but I must tell you that church attendance is almost nil.

EU institutions avoid God, however in some European member states as well as those nations wanting to join the EU, Christian origins are still politically important.

Some EU leaders voiced concern about the growth of Islam on the European continent and fear the increase of Muslims with the possible entrance of Albania, Kosovo, and Turkey into the membership of the EU.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The subject of religion and its connection to the continent of Europe has a significance in the end times events that are found in Bible prophecy.

A leading rabbinical thinker, David Rosen, says that the continent of Europe has diversified religiously in recent years and is no longer a Christian continent. For hundreds of years, Christianity was headquartered on the European continent and it was the center of missionary activity around the world. With the emergence of the common market in Europe and the ratification of the EU, religion has played  less of a role in this part of the world, however the Catholic church has for years worked to make sure that religion played a major role in the EU. Many EU leaders have voiced concerns about the growth of the Muslim population in Europe at this time in history.

This unfolding story echoes what the Bible lays out for the last days scenario on the continent of Europe. Daniel 7:7-24 speaks of the revived Roman Empire that has a major religious element in its makeup. Revelation 13 and 17 both reveal the key role that religion plays in the end times. In fact, in the first 3 1/2 years of the 7 year Tribulation there will be a world religion that will be headquartered in Rome, Italy.

Religion does play a major role in the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

A recent survey reveals that 70% of Israeli Jews believe they are God's chosen people

Listen to Today's Program Play

The latest survey of the beliefs and values among Israeli Jews, the first comprehensive study in more than a decade, reveals that 80% of Israeli Jews believe that God exists and some 70% of these Jews surveyed believed the Jews are the chosen people, a statement that can be found in the Bible.  The authors of this study believe the demographic changes in Israel caused by the higher birthrates among the orthodox and the ultra-orthodox Jews has resulted in the uptick of Jewish attachment to Biblical truth with a majority of all Israeli Jews believing in the coming Jewish Messiah.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A recent survey made among Israeli Jews reveals that Jews believe they are God's chosen people, a fact that the Bible stated more than 4000 years ago but a fact that means God does have a plan for the Jewish people in the future - that is according to Bible prophecy.

Over the last decade, Jews living in Israel have become much more religious, an interesting fact in light of God's plan for the Jewish people in the future.  A recent survey indicates that 70% of all Israeli Jews believe in God and 55% of those surveyed say they believe in the coming of their Messiah.  Fully 80% of Israeli Jews believe that God does indeed exist, the highest figure in more than two decades, a trend that will take place as the world moves into the prophetic events found in Bible prophecy.

The ancient Jewish prophecy Ezekiel prewrote history as he spoke of the regathering of the Jewish people from the four corners of the earth, the restoration of a Jewish state and a Jewish community in Israel that though in unbelief, there will be an increase in a desire to see their Messiah and to become the people of God, the chosen people (Ezekiel 37:7-11 and Ezekiel 34:11-30).  God does have a plan for the Jewish people and this plan is focused on the land of Israel, a land promised to the Jewish people by God Himself (Ezekiel 36, Deuteronomy 30).  The future for the Jews not only in Israel but around the entire world is in the hands of God and its found in the pages of His Word the Bible.

With this increase of the knowledge of God's plan for the Jewish people, this plan will indeed come to pass.  Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The Palestinian government says that Jewish people have no right to pray at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, where they now go to pray 3 times every day

Listen to Today's Program Play

There is a document on the official mouthpiece for the Palestinian Authority, a website that claims the Jewish people have no right to go to the Western Wall in Jerusalem and pray, which they do three times daily, because the report says the Western Wall belongs to Muslims and the Jews have no connection with the Western Wall.

This study by the Palestinian Authority has been denounced by Israel and the United States because it says the Western Wall has always belonged to the Muslims and the Jews have been allowed to pray there because of Muslim tolerance.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The claim by the Palestinian Authority that Jewish people have no right to pray at the Western Wall in Jerusalem is a contradiction to historic fact and the prophetic scenario that focuses on the Temple Mount for the end times.

The report published by an official of the Palestinian Authority stating that Jews have no connection to the Western Wall in Jerusalem since there is no stone in the Western Wall that dates back to the time of King Solomon is partially correct and partially wrong. The correct part is that indeed there are no stones in the Western Wall dating back to King Solomon some 3000 years ago - the reason being that the Western Wall was only built some 2000 years ago by Herod the Great. The incorrect statement is that there is no historic Jewish connection to the Western Wall.

Herod used over 10,000 Jewish laborers to build that wall and it was the western retaining wall used to keep the Temple Mount in tact. King Solomon did build the first temple on the Temple Mount and Herod the Great spent 46 years refurbishing the second temple on that same spot - both of these were Jewish temples. That disproves the Palestinian Authority claim of no Jewish connection to the Western Wall.

In fact, the Bible states that one day the Messiah, Jesus Christ, will come back to earth and build a temple for the Jewish people on the Temple Mount (Zechariah 1:16,6:12). However, before Messiah builds His temple in Jerusalem, there will be a Jewish temple erected on the Temple Mount (Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4, and Revelation 11:1).

Palestinian claims are wrong. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Islam is destroying democracy in France and all across Europe

Listen to Today's Program Play

A recent report says that Islam in France is destroying the nation of France. This recent report says that Islam is increasing in influence and power in the European continent. With more on that story, here's my broadcast partner Dr. Rob Congdon.

Dr. Rob Congdon: There's a growing movement throughout Europe bringing many cultures from around the world, uniting them together into one union will actually make for a better world as people understand each other, they live together and they blend. What has happened is as Islam has come in, they have come in in massive numbers particularly in France.

They have come up from Africa and as they have come in, instead of blending in or the melting pot concept, they are basically starting to assert themselves and trying to take over. The support is growing for limiting migration into the European Union, particularly Muslim integration because they see it is not working and this is tough on them because they really promoted the idea in the past to bring in all these people.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Islam plays a major role in our world today which is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Islam is a major factor throughout the entire Middle East, but also in many nations in Europe. European leaders are working to get control of the situation which seems to be worsening day by day. The ancient Jewish prophets never mentioned the word Islam however they did reveal an end of times scenario that would factor in many nations in the Middle East and Europe that have one thing in common, they are Islamic. For example in the book of Daniel chapter 11 verses 40-43 you'll read about the King of the North, modern day Syria and the King of the South, Egypt. In Psalm 83, the Psalmist mentions a number of nations that will align themselves to destroy the Jewish state of Israel, nations like Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and the Palestinian people.

In Ezekiel 38, the ancient Jewish prophet mentions Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan and the nation of Libya. The lowest common denominator among these nations is that all of them are of the Islamic faith. Now with the spread of Islam across Europe and its growing influence in these European nations, you can see how the prophetic scenario found in the Bible of the alignment of the nations moving to destroy the Jewish state of Israel is coming more into focus.

The growth of Islam in Europe is indeed helping to set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The zoning board in the city of Jerusalem has granted access to religious Jews to a spring mentioned in the Garden of Eden

Listen to Today's Program Play

An ancient spring that was mentioned in the Bible as the spring or river Gihon, recorded in the passage in the Holy Scriptures of the account of Creation, is now a place of opportunity for religious men to take a ritual bath in this sacred body of water.

The Gihon Spring in Silwan in the Eastern section of the city of Jerusalem is the site for Jewish men to perform their traditional ritual in the immersion pit, the activity religious Jews are required to do before entering the Temple Mount.

This spring in Jerusalem is considered to be the spot where Adam went after his sin in the Garden of Eden.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Religious Jewish men can now use the one spring in the Garden of Eden to take a ritual bath before entering the Temple Mount, evidence we are living in the end times according to Bible prophecy.

The city of Jerusalem zoning board recently approved the construction of a special project at the Gihon Spring in the City of David which is the original site of the city of Jerusalem. Religious men will use the immersion pit being constructed at the Gihon Spring to take their ritual bath required before they can enter the Temple Mount. However, there is a problem with this decision by the zoning board. The construction project is located in Silwan, a Palestinian neighborhood in the area.

This controversy today is part of the scenario that was foretold by the ancient Jewish prophet Zechariah in Zechariah 12:2. As to the statements that the site on the Gihon is where Adam went after his sin in the Garden of Eden, this statement is confirmed in Scripture only as it refers to the Gihon River being in the Garden of Eden, Genesis 2:10. The Gihon was the one river in the garden which was located in Jerusalem according to I Kings 1:33, 45. The Gihon River was the one river in the garden that became four rivers somewhere outside of the Garden of Eden.

Ezekiel 36:35 says that the Jews will be given back their Garden of Eden in the last days.

The highest ranking Moslem cleric in Saudi Arabia is calling for all churches to be destroyed

Listen to Today's Program Play

The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Sheik Abdul Abdullah, says that it is necessary to destroy all churches in the Middle East, and he based his declaration on the Islamic holy book, the Hadith, which quotes Mohammad as saying on his death bed, that only Islam can be practiced in the Middle East.  The Mufti asserted that all law in the Middle East must conform to Sharia, the law of the Koran as revealed by Allah, the Islamic god.

This declaration by the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia comes on the heels of a Wall Street Journal article written by the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations which stated that Arab discrimination against Christian minorities is a prevalent phenomenon throughout the Arab world.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A declaration by the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia that Christian churches in the Middle East must be destroyed is a page out of Bible prophecy.

Over the last several years there have been many reports of Christian churches being destroyed and church attenders being killed by radical Islamists.  This phenomenon has been on the increase in recent days and the declaration from the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia that all Christian churches in the Middle East must be destroyed, will only add to the urgency of this destruction by Moslem radicals.

Across the Arab world, more and more Christians and their churches and leaders, are the focus of a fast growing element in our world today who say only the Islamic religion is the one that all of human kind must be a part of in this time in history.  This scenario unfolding today was actually written about in a yesterday over 2000 years ago.  John, the human writer of the book of Revelation, wrote of the slaughter of believers in Jesus Christ in a number of locations in the book of Revelation.  Revelation 6:9-11 foretells of a time when those who stand for the Word of God, the Bible, and who have a testimony that Jesus Christ is their Savior, these believers will be killed.  Revelation 20:4 says that they will be beheaded for their faith.  These Biblical prophecies are referring to the time of Tribulation, that seven year period of judgment on the earth following the Rapture and before the Second Coming of Christ.

The Grand Mufti's call for all Christian churches in the Middle East to be destroyed is indeed a lead up to Bible prophecy being fulfilled.

An Islamic cleric in Israel says that he would rather die than to see the rebuilding of a Jewish Temple in Jerusalem

Listen to Today's Program Play

Sheik Raad Salah, the leader of the Islamic movement in Israel and speaking to Muslim students at Haifa University, told them that he would rather die than to give up the Islamic holy site where the Dome of the Rock is located in Jerusalem, the Temple Mount, and suggested the students should be ready to do the same.

Sheik Salah also repeated his claim that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu was intending on completing his plan to gain control of the Temple Mount and to rebuild the Jewish temple on the site that Muslims believe is holy - the third holiest site after Mecca and Medina.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Muslims that would give their lives to protect and possess the Temple Mount in Jerusalem area actually setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The Temple Mount in Jerusalem is becoming more and more a center of controversy. The Temple Mount is the third holiest piece of real estate for Muslims. To the Jews, it the most holy site in all of the world and the site of the first and second Jewish temples . Muslims who are ready to die to protect and possess this site would fit a scenario that will be played out in the last days according to Bible prophecy.

Zechariah said that the Temple Mount would be the center of controversy in the end times (Zechariah 12:2). Isaiah, Ezekiel, and Joel said that the Muslim world would come to Jerusalem to take it from the Jewish people (Isaiah 51:3, Ezekiel 36:35, and Joel 2:3). Ezekiel also wrote of a temple on the Temple Mount for the Messiah to rule and reign from that location (Ezekiel 40 - 46). Ezekiel's temple is the temple for the kingdom period in the future.

The next temple to be erected on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem will be the one standing during the seven year Tribulation period (Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4, and Revelation 11:1). However, this next temple will not be built until after the Rapture when Christians depart from Earth for the heavens. Until that time, no one can build the temple even Prime Minister Netanyahu.
