Hundreds of thousands of Christians gather in Jerusalem to celebrate Passion week

From literally around the world, hundreds of thousands of Christian pilgrims have traveled to Jerusalem to celebrate what has been termed Passion week, the nine day period of time between the Triumphal Entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem and His death, burial, and resurrection. On Sunday, these Christian pilgrims by the thousands will make their way down the traditional path from the Mount of Olives to the Old City of Jerusalem and to the Temple Mount to reenact the humble entry of Jesus Christ on the back of a donkey some 2000 years ago.

Israeli security and Jerusalem police are on high alert, not only for the Christian pilgrims, but also for the start of the eight day Jewish feast of Passover that begins on Monday evening.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The reenactment of the Triumphal Entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem under tight Israeli security is evidence that the world is getting closer to the return of Jesus Christ once again according to Bible prophecy.

As Christian pilgrims from around the world gather in Jerusalem to remember and reenact the Triumphal Entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem almost 2000 years ago, there is a heavy Israeli security presence to make certain there will not be any violence to the participants in this Christian tradition. The fact that security forces are needed for this religious ritual to take place is a glaring evidence of the times in which our world finds itself today.

A city that is important to three main religions; Islam, Judaism, and Christianity, has been and will continue to be in the news and the center of controversy as the Bible predicted 2500 years ago (Zechariah 12:2-3). However, my focus is on the gathering of Christians from around the world to Jerusalem to mark this first Triumphal Entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem that ended with His death, burial, and resurrection. It is because of what happened 2000 years ago during this Passion week that we have the assurance that Jesus Christ will return to Jerusalem with the real the Triumphant Entry, this time to be the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords (Zechariah 14:4).

Again I mention the high security surrounding this years celebration and the Lord's first the Triumphal Entry as evidence that we are quickly approaching the second and final the Triumphal Entry as the Messiah Jesus Christ returns to Jerusalem.

Current events prove that Bible prophecy will indeed be fulfilled.
