Russian schools have been ordered to ban students from celebrating the cult of death, better known as Halloween

A Russian school official says that Halloween is being forced underground because it includes religious elements, the cult of death and the mockery of death. Therefore school officials have been ordered to ban students from celebrating Halloween despite the widespread popularity of the imported festival to Russia.

Pumpkins and images of witches are widespread across Russia despite the efforts of the Kremlin and especially the Russian Orthodox church to curb enthusiasm for Halloween saying that it is not an attempt to block the celebration completely but only in schools and colleges.

The Russian school officials say celebrating the cult of death, Halloween, is destructive for the minds and the spiritual, moral health of students.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The celebration of the cult of death, better known as Halloween, is a precursor of events foretold in Bible prophecy for the last days.

It is very interesting to note that Russian school officials have been ordered to ban the celebration of Halloween, a holiday festival they also call the cult of death. These Russian school officials and the leaders of the Russian Orthodox Church say that making a mockery of death is dangerous for the spiritual and moral health of the students.

This annual celebration among the nations of the world, and in particular in America, has parents encouraging their children to adorn themselves with costumes that depict death and then visit neighbors with the threat of "trick or treat".

The celebration of Halloween, the cult of death, is a dangerous lead in to the last days scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy. Satan plays a key role in the last days, along with his legions of evil angels, demonic creatures that are responsible for the killing of half of the earths population during the seven year Tribulation Period, Revelation 6:7-8 and 9:15-16.

This cult of death will be played out during the Tribulation Period as demonic creatures slaughter two-thirds of the entire Jewish population of the world at that time, Zechariah 13:8 and Revelation 12:13-17.

II Corinthians 11:13-15 reveals that the devil is an angel of light who could well use what seems to be an innocent children's activity to set his agenda for the last days. Be careful, Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Chicken and egg debate unscrambled

The debate between academics, scientists, and philosophers, and even some chicken farmers over which came first, the chicken or the egg, a debate organized by the Disney movie making company to promote the release of their new film, "Chicken Little" on dvd, those debating have come to a conclusion: the egg came first.

Put simply, the reason is down to the fact that genetic material does not change during an animal's life; therefore, the first bird that evolved in prehistoric times into a chicken must have existed as an embryo inside an egg, this is according to these experts. In conclusion, the team debating the age old question said that eggs were around long before the first chicken, according to their research.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The debate over which came first, the chicken or the egg and the conclusion by a team of academics, scientists, and philosophers in England that the egg came first, is a page out of Bible prophecy for the Last Days. The "Eggsperts" have come to the conclusion that during prehistoric times the egg was first, and then the chicken.

It is interesting to me that these scientists, academics, and philosophers would use the word "prehistoric", which is basically an oxymoron, it has no meaning. In truth there was only God before history.

The close companion of Jesus Christ, the Apostle Peter, in the last book that he wrote, II Peter 3 says that the world would be in the Last Days willfully ignorant of the fact that God created all things including the chicken on the fifth day of Creation, that's found in II Peter 3:5 and Genesis 1:22-23. Peter also said that in the Last Days these same people, the ones willfully ignorant, would deny the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, that's II Peter 3:3-4.

The announcement that the egg came before the chicken is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Despite a signed peace treaty, Egypt considers Israel an enemy state

Even though it's been 27 years since Israel and Egypt signed a peace treaty - the Camp David Accords - the vast majority of Egyptians still see Israel as an enemy state.

The poll - made public recently - shows that 92% of those Egyptians responding to the poll conducted by an Egyptian state institute sees Israel as an enemy despite the lasting peace agreement between the two countries signed back in 1978. That same poll showed which countries have been crowned as friends of Egypt, a list that includes: Saudi Arabia, Libya, the Palestinian Authority (PA), Sudan, and Syria.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A 27-year old peace treaty between Israel and Egypt that is not working actually sets the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

In September of 1978, then US President Jimmy Carter brokered a peace treaty between Israel and Egypt, two nations that had been mortal enemies for a number of years. The Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and Israeli PM Menachem Begin met with Jimmy Carter at the US Presidential Retreat in Camp David, Maryland and agreed to sign the first-ever peace treaty between Israel and any of her enemies. Hailed as a major breakthrough in efforts to bring peace to the Middle East, this treaty - the Camp David Accords - has not been able to bring about that long sought after peace. This recent poll that shows 92% of the Egyptians consider Israel an enemy state is evidence that though there is a peace treaty on the table between Israel and Egypt, it is not working. This then sets the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The ancient Jewish prophet Daniel wrote of a time when there would be a peace treaty on the table not working, that's found in Daniel 9:27. This prophetic text says that the Antichrist will not sign but confirm a peace treaty, one that is not working. The Hebrew word for confirm found in the text is, "Gabar"which does indeed mean confirm and not sign.

A peace treaty between Israel and Egypt that is not working does indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The Jewish population has increased in Judea and Samaria in contradiction to Israeli policy

According to figures released by the Israeli Interior Ministry there has been an increase in the Jewish population of Judea and Samaria over the last year. However, the statistics did not indicate how many of the additional residents were children in the Jewish settlements and how many had moved there from other places.

Another factor that played into the population increase was the immigration form the English speaking west with more than three thousand immigrants from the United States and Canada coming to Israel with many of these new immigrants having a religious connection to Judea and Samaria.

The fastest growth rate was among the very religious Jews already living in Judea and Samaria with additional Jews from Jerusalem moving to the area because of Biblical beliefs.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Increasing population in Judea and Samaria with most of that increase among the very religious Jews is a page out of Bible prophecy for the End Times.

The former Prime Minister of Israel, Ariel Sharon, once accused the religious Jews of having a "Messianic Complex" referring to their belief that God was preparing them for the coming Messiah by giving them the land that He had promised to give them before the Messiah would come.

In conversation with religious residents of Judea and Samaria one will determine that indeed they are living in the land that God has given them, even in these troublesome times. Among these residents of Judea and Samaria there is a stubbornness about them that says they will never leave the Land that God has given them.

Messiah. Ezekiel 34:11-31 states 18 times that the Lord will find the Jews scattered across the four This present scenario is a page out of Bible prophecy for the time just prior to the coming of corners of the earth and bring them into the land of Judea and Samaria.

In Ezekiel 36, some 35 times refers to this promised land and said that it would prosper under the Jewish caretaker ship. The population increase in Judea and Samaria is evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says that the Middle East Peace Plan is in jeopardy

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, before a House Committee in the United States Congress, told the political leaders that without a serious political prospect for the Palestinians, there will be a loss of the window for a two state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Secretary Rice blamed Iran for fanning the flames in the Middle East region, including what she called "troubling new support for Hamas Militants in the Gaza Strip", which Rice said is evidence that the time is right to boost the forces of moderation and defeat the forces of extremism.

Secretary Rice is scheduled to return to the Middle East early next month before the Peace Conference in Annapolis to endeavor to finalize all plans for the Peace Conference. In a situation where many parties are doubting the potential success of the conference.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The quest for peace in the Middle East and a resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been a long-time effort by world leaders, which is a precursor to what Bible prophecy predicts will take place in the last days.

Since the establishment of the Jewish State of Israel, world leaders have been working to try and bring peace between the Jews and their neighbors in the Middle East. There are a number of ceasefires that have been established and broken; and there are already three peace agreements on the table now, between Israel and her neighbors previous enemies.

In 1979, Israel and Egypt signed the "Camp David Accords". In 1993, the Israelis and the Palestinians signed the "Oslo Accords" on the west lawn of the White House in Washington. And, in 1994, Israel and Jordan met to sign a peace agreement between themselves.

The truth be known, none of these three peace treaties has ever been normalized and they are not really working; although they are on the table. The ancient Jewish prophet, Daniel, wrote 2,500 years ago that a world leader, the Antichrist, would come to power and confirm - I did not say sign - he would confirm a peace treaty between Israel and her enemies, Daniel 9:27.

There are indicators that such a world leader is emerging and the confirmation of the existing peace treaties will take place. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Osama Bin Laden has called for an Islamic holy war against the peacekeepers in the ravaged Darfur area

In a message that appeared on Pan-Arab satellite news channels Al-qaida leader Osama Bin Laden called for an Islamic holy war, jihad, against a proposed peacekeeping force in Sudan's war-torn region of Darfur.

Bin Laden called on those living in the areas surrounding Darfur, especially the Arabian peninsula, to drive out any foreign forces in the region saying that it is the duty of the people of Islam in Sudan to perform jihad, holy war, against the crusader invaders and wage armed rebellion to remove those who let the, into the region.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A call for jihad, an Islamic holy war, against peacekeepers in Sudan's Darfur region, is an end times scenario that fits the scenario found in Bible prophecy for the last days.

Over the past several years hundreds of thousands of Sudanese Christians have been killed in the Darfur region of war-torn Sudan. Even secular humanist in the world have cried out against the atrocities being carried out in Darfur and are pleading for a stop to the killing by Sudanese Islamist of Christians and even other Moslem's living in the Darfur region.

Bin Laden's declaration that these peacekeepers are crusaders and must be stopped by the Moslem people, in other words they must be met by jihad, holy war, is a perfect fit for Bible prophecy that refers to this area.

Sudan is one of the nations that will join a coalition of nations to endeavor to destroy the Jewish state of Israel in the last days, Ezekiel 38:5.

Islam, though not mentioned by name in the Bible is a part of the coalition that is formed, and the lowest common denominator of the members of that coalition who come against Israel in the last days, Daniel 11, Ezekiel 38 and Psalm 83.

The ancient Jewish prophet Joel, chapter 2, verses 3 and 4 of his prophecy speaks of a "Mighty Moslem Militia" that will come to power in the last days to kill Jews and Christians.

Bin Laden's call for jihad, holy war, in Sudan's Darfur region is indeed the prophetic scenario that will be fulfilled in the last days. It seems that this Bible prophecy could be fulfilled in the very near future.

A world renowned scientist says the human race must find new homes in outer space to survive

Speaking at an international conference at Hong Kong University, the author of the international best seller, "A Brief History of Time", who is also professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge, Stephen Hawking said that the survival of the human race depends on its ability to find new homes elsewhere in the universe because there is an increasing risk that a disaster will destroy the earth.

The British astrophysicist told a news conference in Hong Kong that humans could have a permanent base on the Moon in 20 years and a colony on Mars in the next 40 years. Hawking said that new observational results and theoretical advances are coming in rapidly, and that we are getting closer to answering the old question, "Where did we come from?"

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The declaration that humanity will live on the moon and Mars within 50 years and that we may be near to knowing the origins of the universe, statements made by the world renowned scientist Stephen Hawking, are a page out of Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

The acclaimed British Physicist Stephen Hawking, speaking recently at an international conference at the University of Hong Kong, told the attendees that we do not yet have good theoretical understanding of the observation of the expansion of the universe. Hawking added that without such understanding, we cannot be sure of the future of the universe. Hawking also said his unfulfilled ambitions, among many, were how the universe began and how the human race can survive in the next 100 years.

Interestingly, God's Word has the answers to all of Hawking's questions, and his questions set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled. The Creation account in Genesis 1 reveals the origins of the universe, revealed by the One who brought everything into existence, the One who was the only observer of this event. The Gospel accounts of the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ tells of how man can survive, not only for 100 years, but for eternity. II Peter 3 foretold the time when seemingly intelligent man would be dumb on purpose and deny that God created all things.

This, in fact, would be evidence that Jesus was coming and that it could be very soon. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The Israel Antiquities Authority has found an artifact on the Temple Mount dating back to the First Temple Period

The Israel Antiquity Authority has reported studying an archaeological level dating back to the First Temple period on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem which was exposed during an illegal construction project that took place this summer, the digging of a trench by the Islamic Trust, custodians of the Temple Mount.

Meanwhile, as this controversy continues a group of religious Jews went onto the Temple Mount and recited the "priestly blessing", an historic first since this was the first time a "priestly blessing" has been recited on the Temple Mount since the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Ancient archaeological remains being found on the Temple Mount and at the same time religious Jews reciting the "priestly blessing" there on the Mount for the first time since the first century destruction of the Temple are both evidence that the prophetic scenario for the Temple Mount could be very close at hand, that is according to Bible prophecy.

Over the last year, many Israeli archaeologist have been protesting the destruction on the Temple Mount of artifacts and archaeological remains by the Muslim custodians of this sacred, Holy sight, all to no avail.

This illegal dig , according to some, had been supervised by the Israel Antiquities Authority to the chagrin of many renowned Israeli archaeologist. Now, with the announcement of a major archaeological find, artifacts dating back to the First Temple Period about 3,000 years ago, the Israel Antiquities Authority says there is a silver lining to this story.

This incident on the Temple Mount draws attention to the writings of an ancient Jewish prophet named Zechariah. He said that in the last days the Temple Mount would be the focus of controversy, Zechariah 12:2-3 and also in 1:14-16.

This discovery of First Temple artifacts is evidence that there has been a Jewish presence on the Temple Mount dating back 3,000 years ago. A contradiction to the Muslim claims that there is no evidence of Jews ever being on the Temple Mount.

The recent visit tot he Temple Mount by religious Jews, one of them a member of the newly formed Sanhedrin, to recite the "priestly blessing" is a precursor to rebuilding the Temple on Judaism's Holiest sight.

Additional evidence of how close the world may be to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

EU leaders agree on a new landmark treaty

EU leaders meeting in Lisbon, Portugal have reached a deal on a landmark treaty to reform the 27-member states, a treaty designed to replace the European constitution that was rejected by French and Dutch voters in 2005 and this treaty will formally be signed December 13th of this year.

The new treaty includes the creation of a new long term presidency of the European Council and a EU foreign policy chief, plus it will speed up decision making in the expanded EU. Jose Socrates, the PM of Portugal and the person who now holds the rotating presidency of the EU, said that Europe had emerged from an institutional crisis and with the treaty Europe is showing that the European project is on the move into the future with confidence.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

With the EU leaders agreeing on a landmark treaty, the stage is set for the prophetic scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

After the rejection of the EU constitution by the French and Dutch voters in 2005, there was a flurry of activity by the EU leaders to try and revise the constitution so that it could be ratified. During the 50th anniversary year, 2007, of the signing of the Treaty of Rome, signed in March 1957, German Chancellor Angela Merkel put together a treaty that she hoped would replace the European constitution. Other EU leaders jumped on the bandwagon, which has resulted in this landmark treaty agreement reached in Lisbon by the 27-member states of the EU.

As you read the treaty alongside the prophetic passages of Bible prophecy, you can see how close we are to the End Times scenario that is found in the Bible. The treaty calls for a "supra-state", the Bible calls for the revived Roman Empire, Daniel 7:7, 23-24. The treaty calls for a powerful president to lead the EU into the future, the Bible calls for a strong leader of the revived Roman Empire known as the Antichrist, Daniel 7:8, 24-25. The treaty calls for a supra state with an economic system and strong military operation, the Bible calls for the very same type of structure.

The new EU landmark treaty does indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The Israeli media says President Bush's warning of WWIII could be the Biblical War of Gog and Magog

The Israeli media, referring to the statements made by President Bush about a nuclear Iran that would mean WWIII, the two major television channels in Israel in their newscast, featured Gog and Magog maps of the likely alignment of nations in that potential conflict.

Channels two and ten, showing the world map, sketched the basic alignment of the two opposing axes in a coming war in a manner evoking association of the Gog and Magog prophecy centered on the Holy Land and Jerusalem which appears in the book of Ezekiel in the Bible. In a surprise visit to Russia by Israeli PM Ehud Olmert, the Israeli leader discussed with the Russian President Vladimir Putin the Russian-Iranian partnership as well as Russia's continued supply of weapons to Syria.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A discussion of the Biblical war of Gog and Magog on Israeli television in reference to President Bush's statement about Iran and WWIII is a precursor to the End Times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

In the newscast on two of the main television channels in Israel, the journalists sounded more like prophecy teachers than they did newscasters. These media people showed world maps revealing what they believed would be the basic alignment of nations in a present-day potential conflict which would include Iran and other Middle Eastern nations that have a working relationship with Russia.

This report of the potential for WWIII and the connection to Gog and Magog, is right out of the pages of Bible prophecy. The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel wrote 2,500 years ago of a major conflict that would include both Iran and Russia plus the other Middle Eastern nations in an alignment against Israel, Ezekiel 38. The Jewish prophet revealed that this major conflict would happen at a time when there was a peace in place in the Middle East, Ezekiel 38:8, 11, describing a time when Israel is dwelling safely in the land.

The stage is being set for this prophetic drama to be played out, the actors are quickly moving into place, the lights are dimming and the curtain is about to go up.

A fundamentalist Christian leader, Dr. Bob Jones III, has endorsed a Mormon, former Governor Mitt Romney

Dr. Bob Jones III, the Chancellor of the fundamentalist university that bears his name, is looking past his religious differences with Governor Mitt Romney and endorsing the Mormon leader for the Republican nomination for President.

Jones said that his decision was all about Hillary Clinton, saying that Romney's religion whose Mormon doctrine, a doctrine that Jones completely opposes, but what was the alternative, he said "Hilary's lack of religion or an erroneous religion?"

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The endorsement of a Mormon political leader by a fundamentalist Christian leader draws attention to the prophetic significance of human government in the Last Days.

As Mitt Romney, the former Governor of Massachusetts, has campaigned for the Republican party nomination for President, he has been confronted on the campaign trail because of his religious background, that of being a very faithful Mormon. This issue has surfaced due to the concerns of the "religious right" in the body politic of America about what many call a religious cult and not truly a part of the true Biblical Christian faith. With the endorsement of Governor Romney by one of the long-time fundamentalist Christian leaders, Bob Jones III, the debate over Romney's religious beliefs has risen to a new high. Many people say, don't discuss religion and politics; however, in a discussion about the End Times, both religion and politics play key roles in the events that will unfold prophetically.

Revelation 17 speaks of a one-world false religion that will control the world for the first three and a half years of the Tribulation Period. In fact, Revelation 17:17 tells us that politics and politicians play a major role during the End Times as well. Revelation 18 is the prophecy of a one-world, economic, governmental, political system that will be in place for the days leading up to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

In the Last Days, politics and religion will play a key role.

Russian President Vladimir Putin makes a landmark visit to Iran

Russian President Vladimir Putin attended a summit of heads of countries in the Caspian Sea region and then moved on to Tehran for a landmark visit of Iran, the first by a Kremlin leader since Stalin joined a summit there in WWII.

Iran's nuclear program topped the agenda for the two leaders, President Putin and Iran's President Ahmadinejad, with Iran seeking Russia's help in keeping new UN sanctions from being implemented. At the Caspian Sea Summit, the five states bordering the Caspian Sea, Russia, Iran, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan signed a declaration agreeing to never allow their territory to be used for an attack on one of the other signature nations.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Russian President Vladimir Putin's attendance at the Caspian Sea Summit and his landmark visit to Iran is a precursor to the End Times scenario that is found in Bible prophecy.

The landmark visit to Iran by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the first in over sixty years by a Russian leader, drew attention to the alliance that Russian and Iran have formed along with the former Soviet satellite nations that border the Caspian Sea. Vladimir Putin made this historic visit even as there was a threat of an assassination on the Russian leader and at the same time as Secretary of Defense Robert Gates was saying that that the International Community must join forces to stop the radical theocracy that heads up the nation of Iran as they develop a Nuclear Weapon of Mass Destruction.

This report is evidence that the prophetic scenario, written 2,500 years ago by an ancient Jewish prophet, is coming better into focus. Ezekiel, that ancient Jewish prophet, wrote that Russia and Iran would be major partners in the End Times which would lead up to the invasion of Israel by not only Russia and Iran, but by a coalition of nations which would include the other Caspian Sea member-states as well, Ezekiel 38:2, 5.

This landmark visit to Iran by Russian President Vladimir Putin does indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Researchers at Tel Aviv University say an earthquake, the "big one", is on its way to Israel

Even as seismologist registered an earthquake in the Jordan Valley of Israel, researchers at Tel Aviv University presented a new study on the time line of earthquakes in the region throughout history. The report concluded that a large earthquake is very possible in the near future for Israel.

The "big one" as it has been referred to by seismologist could hit the region of the Jordan Valley which is part of an earthquake prone area known as the Rift Valley which extends from Syria in the North to Kenya in the South. However no precise earthquake dates can be extrapolated from the data.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A warning from researchers at Tel Aviv University of a major earthquake hitting Israel in the near future has an interesting prophetic significance according to Bible prophecy.

The state of Israel is located along the Syrian-African Rift Valley, a friction point between two subterranean plates and is considered an earthquake prone area.

History has recorded a number of major earthquakes along the Jordan Valley in Israel, a portion of the Rift Valley. There have been over the years a number of smaller quakes in the earthquake prone area which also leads to speculation that the "big one" could happen in the near future.

Prophetic passages in the Bible speak much of earthquake activity in the end times. Matthew 24, a record of the Olivet Discourse that was given by Jesus Christ, reveals that the Lord said that one of the "signs" for His Second Coming would be earthquake activity across the world, Matthew 24:7.

Revelation 6:12, 11:13 and 16:18 all speak of earthquakes in the last days. The prophet Ezekiel wrote that when the enemies of Israel come to destroy the Jewish state there will be a "great shaking in the land", which many Bible scholars believe is referring to a massive earthquake, Ezekiel 38:19.

The report from researchers at Tel Aviv University that the "big one" is on the way to Israel is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Former Vice President Al Gore is the recipient of the Nobel Prize for his work on the issue of global warming

Climate change campaigner Al Gore, and the United Nations inter-governmental panel on climate change, were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts to build up and disseminate knowledge about what the committee called man-made climate change.

The former Vice-President under Bill Clinton who also won an Oscar for his climate change film, "An Inconvenient Truth" said he was deeply honored to be the co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.

The Nobel committee said that it wanted to bring the increased danger of violent conflicts and wars within and between states posed by climate change into better focus. thus the reason for choosing the United Nations panel and Al Gore as the Nobel Peace Prize recipients.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Many are asking the question, does climate change, as being popularized by former Vice President Al Gore, have any role in the end time scenario that is laid out in Bible prophecy.

Since losing in his bid to be elected President, former Vice-President Al Gore has been traveling around the world trying to arouse the awareness to what he calls a coming global catastrophe.

Gore say that man is the main violator of those things that have caused and will continue to cause global warming and global climate change.

Many scientist have signed on to Gore's campaign; however, there is a growing number of scientist and experts on climate change that are vehemently rejecting Gore's assumptions saying they have no scientific facts to back up his claims.

There are prophetic passages in God's Word that speak of ecological judgment upon the earth that will come in the future. The seas, for example, will turn to blood. All of the fish in the seas will die. Even fresh water streams, lakes and rivers will be contaminated and destroyed. These prophecies can be found in Revelation 8 & 16.

However, I must remind you that Jesus Christ created all things including the weather, Colossians 1:16. And by Him, by Jesus Christ, all things are held together, Colossians 1:17. Nothing can happen to this earth unless the Lord allows it to. God, not man, will bring about the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Egypt signed a treaty that will bring international troops to Israel's borders

Egypt has signed a treaty with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) that will allow for this multi-national military force to help secure the Egyptian-Israeli border along the south Gaza Strip.

The treaty, signed at NATO's headquarters in Brussels, was welcomed by NATO's sources and entitles Egypt to the right to cooperate with NATO on the issue of border control, the exchange of intelligence, and the stabilizing of sensitive areas. Egypt becomes the second Middle East country to sign such a pact and NATO said that other countries in the region are expected to sign similar treaties in the near future.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The treaty signed between Egypt and NATO recently moves toward setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

NATO is a military force that is made up of member-states of the EU and the US. NATO has been deployed on many peace keeping operations in Europe and the Middle East including Afghanistan and southern Lebanon. Egypt is the first Arab state to sign a treaty with NATO which would allow for a military force to enter the region under the auspices of being peace keepers. There are a number of other Middle Eastern-Arab states that will sign similar agreements with NATO in the near future.

This agreement makes way for a military force, made up of troops from nations around the world, to enter the Middle East and setup operations at Israels borders. This scenario is very similar to the prophetic scenario that c an be found in Bible prophecy for the Last Days. Zechariah wrote 2,500 years ago how the nations of the world would send their armies to Jerusalem at the end of the seven year Tribulation Period just prior to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, Zechariah 14:2. These military forces in Israel will be a part of the multi-national army at the Battle of in Armageddon, Revelation 19:11-15.

This NATO treaty does indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

A massive Jewish protest rally in New York City called Israeli PM Olmert dangerous

Thousands of Jewish protesters took part in an emergency gathering in New York City rallying against the planned division of Judaism's holiest city, Jerusalem, and other Israeli concessions scheduled for the International Summit that Israeli PM Ehud Olmert has offered to the Palestinians.

Protest organizers said that Olmert is a danger to the Jewish nation and any move to divide Jerusalem or give away land in Judea and Samaria would be an act of treason liable to the death penalty or life in prison according to the Israeli Law.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The giving away of God-given land in Israel is a grave danger to the Jewish nation and a lead up to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

In what seems to be a desperate move to save his political life, Israeli PM Ehud Olmert has put forward a plan to give up much of Judea and Samaria, the West Bank, and divide the city of Jerusalem as a way to bring about a peace agreement with the Palestinians. For the first time in his negotiating stance, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is calling for over ninety percent of Judea and Samaria and all of the Eastern section of the city of Jerusalem for its state of Palestine and its capital city.

The ancient Jewish prophet, Ezekiel pre-wrote history 2,500 years ago about how the Edomites, the Biblical term for the Palestinian people of today, would take the land of the Jewish people that God had given them, Ezekiel 35:10-11. Ezekiel, speaking on behalf of the Lord God Himself, said that this act would be blasphemy against the Lord, Ezekiel 35:13-14. Malachi, another Jewish prophet, said that the Lord would call any borders that the Palestinians set up, as the borders of wickedness causing great indignation to the Lord, Malachi 1:2-4.

Palestinian demands for Jewish land given by God to the Jewish people is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The Iranian leadership believes that they are now entering the Apocalyptic Age

Speaking at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, the renown scholar and historian Bernard Lewis told his audience that Iranian President Ahmadinejad and the leadership of Iran believe they are now entering the Apocalyptic Age which will result in the triumph of their messianic figure.

Lewis said that Iran is a mortal threat and reminded those attending his lecture that Islam, like Judaism and Christianity, has an End Times scenario reminding them that holy war is a part of the Islamic religion and part of holy law. Lewis then added that the threat of many Iranians perishing in a war did not deter the Iranian leadership. They believe that death this way would give Iranians a free pass to the Islamic heaven.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The thinking by the Iranian leadership that they are now entering the Apocalyptic Age actually conforms to the End Times scenario that is found in Bible prophecy.

The statement by the renown scholar and historian, Bernard Lewis, that Iranian President Ahmadinejad and Iran's leadership believe they are entering the Apocalyptic Age is evidence that the Islamic world does have an eschatology, a theology that has an End Times scenario. The outdated concepts of M.A.D (Mutually Assured Destruction) prevalent during the Cold War years, are irrelevant when it comes to Iran and its leadership. The Iranian president and his circle see such a scenario as an incentive, not a deterrent.

This apocalyptic desire of the radical Shiite Muslim is at the center of much of what's happening in the Middle East today and does fit into Bible prophecy. The ancient, Jewish, New Testament Prophet John wrote the book entitled, "The Apocalypse", or better known as the book of Revelation which describes the End Time Apocalyptic Age. Revelation 4:2 - 19:10 describes the seven year period of massive judgment on the face of the Earth. Revelation 19 describes the "Mother of all battles", "the Apocalyptic War", the Battle of Armageddon.

Ahmadinejad is correct, we are indeed entering the Apocalyptic Age.

PA President Mahmoud Abbas says that Jerusalem is key to any peace deal with the Israelis

In a meeting with Palestinian dignitaries from Jerusalem, PA President Mahmoud Abbas told his guests that a solution for Jerusalem would be key to any peace deal with Israel and that there would be no independent Palestinian state without Jerusalem as its capital.

Israelis and Palestinians both claim Jerusalem as their capital cities and Mahmoud Abbas said that Jerusalem has always been in their hearts and the hope that the Palestinians have looked at as the major concern in the coming difficult days.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The declaration by PA President Mahmoud Abbas that Jerusalem is the key issue in the upcoming Middle East Peace Conference is a page out of Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

Even though Jerusalem has never been the capital city of a Palestinian state, the demand has now surfaced that Jerusalem must be the capital of a Palestinian state or there will be no Palestinian state. The truth be known, there has never been a Palestinian state in the Middle East with or without Jerusalem as its capital city. The Israeli negotiators had been telling the Palestinian negotiators that Jerusalem is indeed on the table and a deal could be worked out for a divided Jerusalem making it possible for both the Israelis and the Palestinians to claim a portion of the city as its capital.

The status of Jerusalem and a Middle East Peace Conference both are key issues in every prophetic scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy. The ancient Jewish prophet Daniel wrote 2,500 years ago that Jerusalem, the Holy city mentioned by Daniel, Daniel 9:24, would indeed be in focus as a key issue to End Time prophecy. The prospect for peace will also play a role in the Last Days, Daniel 9:27, which reveals that the coming world leader, the Antichrist, will bring about a peace between the Jews and the enemies of Israel all related to Jerusalem.

The Abbas statement that Jerusalem is key to the upcoming peace conference does indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Millions of Iranians hold nation-wide rallies to mark Jerusalem Day

Since the Islamic Revolution in 1979, Iran has observed the last Friday of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month, as Jerusalem Day with a way of expressing support to the Palestinians and emphasizing the importance of Jerusalem to Moslems.

This year, millions of Iranians attended nationwide rallies in support of the Palestinians even as the Iranian president said that Israel's continued existence was an insult to human dignity and that the occupation of Palestine is not limited to one land, the Zionist issue is now a global issue. In Tehran, hundreds of thousands of Iranians poured into the streets as they chanted "Death to Israel" and as they burned Israeli flags. The Iranian President Ahmadinejad said, together with other nations, Iran would continue the resistance until the Palestinian lands are liberated from Israel.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Iranian President Ahmadinejad's continued radical rhetoric, focused on the Jewish state of Israel, has a very significant prophetic aspect for the End Times according to Bible prophecy.

The statement during Jerusalem Day rallies in Iran that the creation, continued existence, and unlimited support of Israel is an insult to human dignity is a blatant example of the radical rhetoric by Iran's President Ahmadinejad that is impacting the world. Over the last two years, Ahmadinejad has denied that the Holocaust of the Jews ever took place, that Israel must be removed from the Earth and that the end of the Jewish existence is close at hand, has been a rallying cry for Israel haters to join together to accomplish Ahmadinejad's goals.

Calling your "holy" day, Jerusalem Day, and celebrating the total demise of the Jews from their God-given land is inline with the prophetic scenario for the Last Days that is found in Bible prophecy. A number of the ancient Jewish prophets addressed the issue of attempts by Israel's enemies to try and remove them from the Earth as is the case in Daniel11, Ezekiel 38 and Psalm 83. Zechariah points out that Jerusalem will be on the agenda of Israel's enemies as well, Zechariah 12:2-3 and Zechariah 1:14-16. The death of a large number of Jews, eight million of them, is also predicted, Zechariah 13:8, Revelation 12:13-17.

As Iranian President Ahmadinejad ratchets up his rhetoric, these prophecies come closer and closer to being fulfilled.

Former US diplomats to the Middle East advise Secretary of State Rice to divide Jerusalem into two capital cities

Three US diplomats, who served as US ambassadors to Israel, have written a policy paper presented to Secretary of State Rice that advises her to divide Jerusalem into two capitals: one for Israel and the other for a Palestinian state, saying that Jerusalem's future has snarled past US peace efforts.

These three former US ambassadors to Israel are part of a group of former state department and Pentagon officials who submitted a six-page policy statement to Condoleezza Rice about the division of Jerusalem and also suggested a series of peace conferences following the one the US hopes to convene next month. The policy paper also called for a just solution to refugee questions that recognize the suffering and the plight of the Palestinian refugees.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A call by US diplomats for dividing the city of Jerusalem into the capital cities of two states is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The status of Jerusalem heads the list of problems facing the upcoming Middle East peace conference to be hosted by the US. The Palestinians are calling for at least a portion of Jerusalem to be the capital city for their future state, Palestine.

Since 1967, all Israeli governments have said Jerusalem is the undivided capital city of the Jewish state of Israel and will not be divided. However, Israeli PM Olmert's point man, Vice PM Chaim Ramon has told the PA that Israel is ready to divide Jerusalem for a solid peace agreement. Now this word from the US State Department that Jerusalem must be divided is right in line with Bible prophecy on the Jerusalem issue.

It is evident as one reads the prophecies written by the ancient Jewish prophet Zechariah, that Jerusalem will be a heavy burden as an End Time issue and the center of controversy in the Last Days, Zechariah 12:2-3. Other Jewish prophets including Daniel, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Joel and Isaiah also reveal that Jerusalem will be the main focus in the Last Days.

This US diplomatic call to divide Jerusalem today is setting the stage for Bible prophecy focused on Jerusalem for the future to be fulfilled.

The Pentagon officially observes the Moslem holy month of Ramadan

The Deputy Pentagon Chaplain, Army Major Allen Pomaville said at the Pentagon celebration of the Moslem holy month of Ramadan that the leadership of the Department of Defense (DOD) wants to care for the body of the whole soldier, a statement made as uniformed military personnel, civilians and family members faced Mecca in Saudi Arabia and knelt on prayer rugs chanting their prayers to Allah, the Islamic god.

More than 100 DOD employees sang out "Allah is great" at the end of the day long fast in a service to celebrate the giving of the Islamic holy book, the Koran. A spokesman for the White House National Security Council says that President and Mrs. Bush host a similar celebration of Ramadan at the White House to let the world know how much they respect Islam and the many Moslems living in the US.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Celebrations at the Pentagon and also at the White House of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month, are a precursor of a prophetic scenario for the Last Days that can be found in Bible prophecy.

The official celebration of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan at the Pentagon and the White House is in stark contrast to what has been happening in the military and the US government as it relates to Christian activities on government property. Ramadan is the holiest month on the Islamic calendar and it marks the giving of the Koran to Mohammad, the only true prophet according to Islamic belief. The Koran negates much of the Bible, the Holy Book for Judaism and Christianity, stating that the Koran is the final word from Allah, the Moslem god.

I say the Moslem god when referring to Allah, because the Koran states that Jesus Christ never died, was not buried and never rose from the dead. That statement is in contradiction of I Corinthians 15:17-23 which states that Jesus Christ did die and was resurrected from the dead or otherwise the Christian faith is in vain. The Koran also says that Allah had no son. The Bible, in I John 4:1-3, states that those who deny Jesus Christ was the Son of God in the flesh is of the spirit of Antichrist.

According to these Biblical references, the celebration of Ramadan is a precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

A major world church organization has called for the US to pull out of Iraq

The World Council of Churches, which brings together about 350 Protestant, Orthodox and other churches representing more than 560 million church members, has called for a complete withdrawal of US forces from Iraq.

The Church's largest ecumenical movement also said that the US and its allies must settle the dispute over Iran's nuclear program through negotiations because the Middle East should not suffer another war that is unlawful, immoral, and ill-conceived according to their opinion.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) said that the threat to begin another war in the Middle East defies the lessons of both history and ethics and the region and the people must not suffer another war.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The call by the WCC to end war in the Middle East actually echoes what a world-wide church will say during the first half of the seven-year Tribulation Period in the future according to Bible prophecy.

The WCC, which represents over 560 million church members around the world, has called upon the US and its allies to stop making war. This organization, the Church's largest ecumenical movement today, has declared the war in Iraq unlawful, immoral and ill-conceived and they do not want it to happen again. Although the Roman Catholic Church is not a member of the WCC, it cooperates with it.

This report is almost a prototype of what could well be reported in the first three and a half years of the future seven year Tribulation Period, a terrible time of judgment to come. The Apostle John wrote about this world-wide church body yet to come in Revelation 17. This one-world church revealed in Revelation will be headed up by the false messiah, the Antichrist. The Antichrist will rise to great power by leading this false church, headquartered in the city of Rome, and will bring war to an end, at least initially in the future, Daniel 9:27 and Revelation17.

The Church's largest ecumenical movement calling for an end to war in the Middle East is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Israelis are calling on the United States to attack Iran and supposedly plans are being made to do so

In a recent pole of Israelis it was revealed that 71% of the body politic of Israel believe that the United States should launch a military attack on Iran if diplomatic efforts fail to halt Iran's nuclear program that is developing a nuclear weapon of mass destruction.

Meanwhile, there is a report in the New Yorker magazine that the United States Defense Chiefs have drawn up new plans for a possible attack on Iran, shifting the focus from a broad bombing assault on the supposed nuclear facilities, to surgical strikes on Iran's revolutionary guard bases in Tehran and elsewhere.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The upsurge of calls for a military strike on Iran's nuclear program and it's facilities is actually setting the stage for what Bible prophecy says will happen, possibly in the near future.

The world has stood on the sidelines and watched the Iranian's continue to develop nuclear weapons of mass destruction almost without hindrance. Israeli leaders have been warning the world community that the Iranian threat is real and must be dealt with before it's to late to stop the danger of Iran's nuclear arsenal.

Former US Ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton, and other security experts, say that military action must be taken. Israel's Foreign Minister Livni told the international community at the United Nations that the Iranian nuclear issue will not resolve itself.

Iran is mentioned in Bible prophecy, referred to by it's Biblical name, Persia, found in Ezekiel 38:5. According to Bible prophecy Iran will be only one of a coalition of nations that will align themselves against Israel in the last days.

This alignment of nations will attack Israel, possibly with nuclear weapons of mass destruction, but will be defeated; not by US or Israeli forces but by supernatural power.

Ezekiel 38:18-23 and Ezekiel 39:1-6 reveal that the alignment of nations, including Iran and all Middle Eastern nations will be defeated by forces in the heavens. The Lord himself will almost completely destroy all of these attacking nations, Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
