The present-day Sanhedrin seeks to revive the ancient Temple rituals

The modern day Sanhedrin which was reestablished several years ago on the shores of the Sea of Galilee at Tiberius is beginning to renew the ancient Jewish High Court which existed until roughly 1,600 years ago.

The Sanhedrin has decided to purchase a herd of sheep for ritual sacrifice at the site of the temple on the eve of Passover, conditions on the Temple Mount permitting, the Passover sacrifice being relative to other works performed at the temple. Professor Hillel Weiss, spokesperson and member of the Sanhedrin, says that the sacrifice, even if symbolic is designed to demonstrate in a way that is obvious to all that the expectation of the temple rituals resuming is real and not just talk.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Resumption of the Passover sacrifice under the leadership of the present-day Sanhedrin is a giant step closer to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Several years ago when a group of religious, Jewish experts in Judas Prudence and biblical scholars gathered on the shores of the Sea of Galilee at Tiberius and re-formed the former Jewish high court of 2,000 years ago - the Sanhedrin - no one suggested that this was more than symbolic. The announcement that the Sanhedrin will purchase a herd of sheep for the ritual Passover sacrifice is key to the times in which we are living, a time when there could well be a Jewish temple erected on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel reveals that there will be a temple once again in Jerusalem during the coming 1,000 year Kingdom, that's Ezekiel 40-46. Daniel, also a Jewish prophet, wrote 2,500 years ago that there will be a temple before Ezekiel's temple during the seven year judgment period that is yet future, that's found in Daniel 9:27. For this next temple, the priests are prepared and standing by, all the implements are in storage, even a red heifer is ready for the purposes of instituting the temple activities.

With the Sanhedrin in place and making ready to resume temple sacrifices, we are indeed very close to Bible prophecy being fulfilled.

An Israeli security official says that Syria, Hezbollah, and Palestinian terror groups will attack Israel if Iran is attacked

Syria, Hezbollah, and terrorist groups in Judea and Samaria, and Gaza will attack Israel if any war breaks out involving Iran according to an Israeli security official who also stated that the greatest threat Syria poses to the Jewish state are the country's missiles.

Israel has received intelligence information that Russia is set to conclude a deal worth several hundred million dollars transferring thousands of advanced antitank missiles to Syrian similar to those advanced missiles used by Hezbollah this past summer. Terrorist leaders are saying openly that an attack on Iran will lead to a coordinated counter attack on Israel and U.S. interest throughout the region, and actually stated that Iran has issued a directive to wreak havoc on Israel with suicide bombings, rocket attacks, and special surprises.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A coordinated attack on Israel by Syria, Hezbollah, and Palestinian terror groups if Iran is attacked is a page out of Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

The Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert issued a directive to the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) to prepare for a war with Syria, and then came word out of Iran that if Israel or America attacks their nuclear program, there will be a coordinated attack against these two enemies, the US and Israel. Syria, Hezbollah, the Palestinian terror organizations, and Iran are now walking in lockstep as they all anticipate a preemptive strike on Iran's nuclear program that is developing a Nuclear Weapon of Mass Destruction (NWMD). US naval activities in the Persian Gulf, requests for an Iraq fly-over by Israel and reports of military planners preparing for a possible preemptive attack on Iran has Iran preparing for a counter attack.

This scenario is a page directly out of the scriptures of Bible prophecy. For example, Daniel 11:40 states that Syria is a major player. Psalm 83 lists Iran, Syria, Lebanon, i.e. Hezbollah, and the Palestinians as additional players in the drama to unfold in the Last Days with a coordinated attack on Israel.

As I report on these Middle East developments with the aforementioned nations it is indeed a page out of Bible prophecy.

An Israeli born film maker claims that Jesus had a son by Mary Magdalene based upon a new discovery of the burial site of Jesus

Israeli born journalist and film maker Simcha Jacobovici claims that they have scientific evidence including DNA analysis which gives credence to the claim that Jesus of Nazareth, His mother Mary, His wife Mary Magdalene, and their son Judah were all buried in the same burial plot.

The documentary, The Lost Tomb of Jesus, was filmed on location at a 2,000 year old cave in the Talpiot neighborhood of Jerusalem and included evidence gathered by the film producers including the report from one of the world's foremost molecular genetics laboratories as well as additional expert scholarship. Professor Amos Kloner, the Jerusalem district archeologist, says the documentary's claims are impossible and nonsense and that there was no likelyhood that Jesus and His relatives had a family tomb in Jerusalem.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The claims by a newly released film documentary that Jesus was buried with His family in a neighborhood of Talpiot in Jerusalem are incorrect according to the biblical account of the Lord's burial and Bible prophecy.

The newly released documentary, The Lost Tomb of Jesus, makes claims that go against the record of the death and burial of Jesus Christ as found in the Bible. At first glance, the documentary, with its testimony of so-called experts in many fields, seems to build a case for their claims, but when considered alongside the Bible record of these events, the documentary is void of real truth. May I remind you that in the Middle East, authenticity of a place or an event is determined by what the Bible says, what tradition says, and then the archaeological evidence, and always in that order. Tradition says that Jesus Christ was buried about five miles from the location suggested by the documentary.

The biblical accounts or the final say on the matter and all four of the Gospel writers, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John give record of the actual location of the Lord's death and burial. Time will not allow a full account, but Matthew records that the centurion standing at the foot of the cross saw the veil of the Temple wrent when Christ was crucified. Matthew 27:51 states that the centurion was at the East of the Temple, not to the West in Talpiot.

Bible prophecy also gives of the Mount of Olives as the location of the death and burial of Jesus Christ, not in Talpiot.

In a recent Gallup poll Americans named Israel as a vital friend important to US interest

A recent Gallup poll surveying US opinion on geopolitics says that Israel is the only foreign nation that a majority of Americans feel favorably toward, and also says that what happens there is vitally important to the US.

The countries that Americans refer to as the world's hot spots, nations that a majority of Americans view unfavorably and say that what happens in each is vitally important to US interest as well, are Iraq, Iran, North Korea, Afghanistan, and China. The Israeli Ambassador to the US - Salai Meridor - says this broad support of American people for Israel is of the utmost strategic importance to Israel and it must be nurtured and maintained.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

American support is vital to Israel, and when it is gone in the future, the Middle East will explode, that is according to Bible prophecy.

A recent Gallup poll revealed that in the opinion of Americans, Israel is a vital friend in the Middle East and what happens there will shape the future of the US and in particular the entire Middle Eastern region. Those nations on the most unfavorable list for Americans include the major enemies of Israel, states like Iran, Syria, Iraq, and the non-state, the Palestinian Authority (PA). In fact, these nations found unfavorable to Americans are also deemed the hot spots by those surveyed and nations that are also vitally important to US interest. This survey actually plays in to the most asked question that I have when I hold a prophecy question and answer time. The question is, "Where is the US in Bible prophecy?"

The US is not mentioned in Bible prophecy; however, it may be referred in the prophecy of Zechariah 14:2, when the ancient Jewish prophet mentions that in the Last Days, all the nations of the world will gather at Jerusalem just prior to the return of Jesus Christ to the Mount of Olives, that's Zechariah 14:4. I then add to the answer that if America is around after the seven year Tribulation Period, they will be among those nations in Jerusalem. The truth is, the main reason that God has even slightly blessed America today, is that the US is the protector of the Jewish state in our present world.

When the Rapture takes place, America will be rendered ineffective in geopolitics and Israel's enemies will attack. Remove the restraint and Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Israeli President Moshe Katsav: Salvation of the Dead Sea is a national priority

The receding water level of the Dead Sea has had a negative impact on the Israeli environment and salvation of the Dead Sea is a national priority according to statements made by Israeli President Moshe Katsav at a regional conference in Israel as they discussed the future of the Dead Sea.

There has been an awareness of the Dead Sea problem for more than a century and over the years various Israeli government ministries and regional councils have attempted to find a solution to the problem but to no avail. Several solutions have been proposed in the past, most notably the construction of a canal for transporting water from either the Mediterranean Sea or the Red Sea to the Dead Sea, but as of yet no solution has been decided upon.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Israeli President Moshe Katsav calling the salvation of the Dead Sea a national priority has an interesting connection to Bible prophecy that focuses on this area of the world for the last days. Since the late 1960's, Israeli officials have been urging the powers that be to focus on the Dead Sea and the major problems surrounding this most unique body of water in Israel.

The Dead Sea is actually the lowest spot on earth with its surface at 1300 feet below sea level and daily this piece of water is losing more and more of its resources, a water that is seven times saltier than any ocean on the earth. One project that has been proposed to resolve the Dead Sea problem is the Red-Dead project, which would bring water through a conduit from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea, hoping to revitalize this great national resource. The Dead Sea works located at the southern end of the Dead Sea needs this Red-Dead project to move forward or another solution must be found. The Dead Sea is the leading source of national revenue for the little state of Israel.

An End Times scenario found in Bible prophecy is actually the solution for the Dead Sea problem as recorded by the ancient Jewish prophets: Joel, Ezekiel, and Zechariah. When the Temple stands on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem water will issue out of the Temple complex and flow down to the Dead Sea, Joel 3:18, Zechariah 14:8, and Ezekiel 47.

These prophecies will be fulfilled at the end of the seven year Tribulation Period and after the Lord Jesus Christ returns to the earth which, according to other Bible prophecies, could be in the near future. A Dead Sea problem now will be resolved as Bible prophecy is fulfilled.

The UN is drafting a treaty that will determine how to deal with thousands of asteroids that could hit the Earth

The Association of Space Explorers, a professional body of Astronauts and Cosmonauts, have put together a document for the UN which is a draft treaty to determine what would have to be done if a giant asteroid was on a collision course with the Earth.

The document would set out global policies including who should be in charge of plans to deflect any object, and at the moment NASA is monitoring some 127 near Earth objects that have a possibility of hitting the Earth. The National Space Agency estimates that there are about 20,000 potential threatening asteroids and out of these thousands there will be without question many that might hit the Earth with enough speed to cause possible major damage.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The potential for thousands of asteroids hitting the Earth might sound like science fiction, but in truth, it is a page out of Bible prophecy.

There is concern at the UN as to how to handle the danger of a giant asteroid hitting the Earth and causing a real catastrophe. Astronauts and Cosmonauts, all members of the Association of Space Explorers, are helping to draft the document to handle the danger of asteroids hitting the Earth. At first, you might have thought I was speaking of some type of science fiction scenario, but the truth is, this is a page out of Bible prophecy.

In the last book of the Bible, the book of Revelation, the writer, the Apostle John, wrote of coming judgments that will affect the Earth. Revelation 8:7 speaks of objects from outer space that will destroy the trees and burn up the grass. Revelation 8:8 reveals the account of a great mountain, possibly a giant asteroid, that will turn the sea to blood, kill one-third of the fish in the sea, and destroy one-third of the ships on the oceans at that time. As you continue to read through the book, Revelation 16:1-11 gives more such judgments that will come upon the Earth.

The UN's concern for how to handle potentially dangerous asteroids is indeed a page out of Bible prophecy.

Israel's Chief of Military Intelligence is telling the Israeli Knesset that Hezbollah is stronger than before the war of last summer

General Yossi Baidatz - the head of the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) Intelligence wing - told the Knesset Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defense that Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon has not only returned to its prewar capabilities, but they have even become stronger.

It was only a few days ago that Hezbollah terrorist chieftain Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah bragged publicly about the continuing smuggling of weapons into Southern Lebanon and Nasrallah added that Hezbollah would not disarm as called for in the ceasefire agreement that ended last summer's war.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Military intelligence in Israel indicates that Hezbollah and its partner states are ready once again to attack Israel, which is exactly what Bible prophecy calls for at this time in history.

To bring an end to the thirty-four day war between Israel and Hezbollah this last summer, the world forced the two parties to recognize a cease fire that called for Hezbollah to disarm and for Israel to pull its troops out of Lebanon. The IDF did pull out of Southern Lebanon and setup a monitoring system to see that Hezbollah did not rearm. All the reports not only goes from Israel, but also the European peace keepers in Southern Lebanon stated that Hezbollah was rearming, receiving new munitions and additional Katyusha rockets from Iran transported through Damascus with the Syrians facilitating the rearming of Hezbollah. However, this report also confirms the intel that says that Iran, Syrian, and Lebanon - i.e. Hezbollah - are preparing for the next phase of this war.

The Bible weighs in on this scenario as well in the book of Psalms chapter 83. The Psalmist is praying for God to not be silent as His enemies and the enemies of the Jewish people say they want to destroy the Jewish state and that it not be remembered forever, that's verse 4 of Psalm 83. The parties listed who will come to destroy Israel are Iran, the Hagarenes of verse 6, the people of Tyre, Lebanon today in verse 7, and Assur, the Syrian people of today found in verse 8.

The IDF Intelligence report is right on track.

The Trilateral Summit in Jerusalem ends with no signs of real progress

A trilateral summit held in Jerusalem between Israel, the Palestinian Authority(PA), and the US ended with no real signs of progress as evidenced with the ninety-second news conference that followed when Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice said that the Israelis and the Palestinians exchanged views on the political future and agreed to hold another summit.

The US had hoped to restart the peace efforts, but the summit had been beset with low expectations due to the US and Israeli dissatisfaction with the Palestinian power sharing deal that was made in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, a deal that would result in the formation of a Palestinian Unity government. The international community has demanded that any Palestinian government recognize Israel except previous peace agreements and renounce violence which is exactly what Hamas, the senior partner in the Palestinian government, has refused to do.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The setback at the trilateral summit between Israel, the Palestinians, and the US held in Jerusalem is a precursor to the fulfillment of the prophetic scenario for these parties as found in Bible prophecy.

The US as the peace program between the state of Israel and the PA, has not been able to move the peace process closer to a result that would satisfy each party. Hamas, the Islamic political party in the Palestinian society, has gained a stronghold that will not budge from its goal to remove the state of Israel from the Middle East and build its own Islamic republic state under the Islamic sharia law. This scenario is exactly what the ancient Jewish prophet Malachi wrote some 2,500 years ago would be the case at the end of time just before the Messiah, Jesus Christ, would return to Earth.

Malachi prewrote history when he said that the Edomites, the Palestinian people of today, would return to rebuild, that's Malachi 1:4. The Lord, in that same passage, said that the Edomites would rebuild and He would call their borders, the borders of wickedness, and He would have indignation against them.

The plan by Hamas to remove Israel and rebuild its own state is indeed a precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

A Palestinian scholar in Jerusalem says that the Jews have no historic connection to the Temple Mount, the Western Wall, or the Holy Land

Palestinian scholar Dr. Hassan Khader, founder of the al Quds Encyclopedia, argues that the Jews have no ancient connection to the Temple Mount, Western Wall, or even a right to claim land in the Middle East as the land of their forefathers and thus a right for a modern-day state of Israel.

Dr. Khader teaches that the Jewish connection to the Temple Mount and the Western Wall arrived some 1,400 years after the beginning of Islam when the Jews conquered Jerusalem and made the Western Wall into their special place of worship where they worship and pray.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A Palestinian scholar who denies a Jewish connection to the Temple Mount and even the Holy Land is producing evidence that the End Times are near, that is according to Bible prophecy.

The Palestinian scholar, Dr. Hassan Khader, teaches Palestinian youth that the Jews have no historical connection to Jerusalem or the Holy Land. Dr. Khader uses the Palestinian Authority Television to propagate what he says is the real history of the area known as the Temple Mount and the Western Wall. Not only does Khader praise the Palestinian terrorists for their violence and death to Jews, but encourages them to continue preventing the Jews from any access to the Temple Mount and the Western Wall.

The teachings of this Palestinian scholar contradict the recorded history that can be found in the Bible. The Old Testament is a record of the Jewish connection not only to the land, but to the city of Jerusalem as well; a connection to Canaan which is modern-day Israel, that's Genesis 12-37 and the city of Jerusalem which includes the Temple Mount, and that's found in II Samuel 5:7. Ezekiel 34-37 reveals that God will give this land, the land of their forefathers to the Jewish people in the End Times. Zechariah 1:12-16 and 12:2-3 indicate that this piece of real estate will indeed be a land of conflict.

Palestinian teaching is today setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled in a soon coming tomorrow.

A former Israeli Mossad chief is calling for Iranian President Ahmadinejad to be assassinated

Meir Amit, a former director of Israel's Mossad intelligence agency, is advocating that Iranian President Ahmadinejad should be made to disappear from the arena, adding that Ahmadeinejad wants to die a martyr, so he should be sent to the Islamic heaven.

Amit, one of Israel's most esteemed figures in the intelligence establishment, said Ahmadeinejad is pushing the Islamic world toward fanaticism and extremism, and should be eliminated. The former Mossad chief said that global civilization is on the verge on World War III, a massive conflict in which the Islamic world is attempting to impose its ideology on western nations.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The call to assassinate Iranian President Ahmadinejad and head off World War III, is a scenario that will not work according to Bible prophecy.

The call by a respected former director of Israel's elite intelligence agency to assassinate the President of Iran has the attention of world leaders who are grappling with how to deal with this radical Muslim leader.

The warning that Ahmadinejad is pushing the Muslim world towards the eve of World War III is valid. All the rhetoric and actions of the Iranian President seem to point to the destruction of the Jewish state. Ahmadinejad has called for this destruction for the past several years.

The scenario of Iran pushing the world towards global conflict is a page from Bible prophecy as laid out by the prophet Joel. Joel introduces the prophetic phrase "the Day of the Lord." Remember, the Jewish "day" begins with the night before. Joel describes that "night" as a time for a Muslim militia to come together and go to Jerusalem and take it and destroy the Jewish people, Joel 2:1-4. The Muslim militia will be the largest army ever assembled on the earth. Iran's President is the driving force behind just such a militia. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is calling for an international conference on the Middle East

While meeting with Jordan's King Abdullah in Amman, Jordan, Russian President Vladimir Putin reiterated his proposal for convening an international conference on the Middle East with the participation of all concerned parties including: Syria, Lebanon, and the Palestinians with the aim of finding acceptable solutions for the region's problems.

Putin's Middle East trip included stops in Saudi Arabia and meetings with Saudi King Abdullah, and Jordan where he met with Jordan King Abdullah, and the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to discuss the Russian initiative.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The call for an international conference on the Middle East to work towards a peaceful solution for all parties involved has a familiar ring to it, similar to the End Times scenario that is found in Bible prophecy.

On his recent trip to the Middle East, the Russian President Vladimir Putin called for an international conference on the Middle East that would aim for meeting the security needs of all parties involved and working towards peace in the region. Russia has been working to develop better relations with all of the Middle Eastern countries even including Israel, which is somewhat puzzling since Russia is helping Iran develop its nuclear program which Iran says they will use for the demise of the Jewish state. One of the reasons that President Putin has been welcomed by the Arab leaders is the Russian-Iranian connection and fears that a nuclear powered Iran would cause instability in the Middle East.

The Russian leader's initiative for an international conference on peace in the Middle East sounds like the prophetic scenario that reveals there would be a world leader who will bring about peace between the Muslim-Arab nations and Israel, that's found in Daniel 9:27. The Antichrist will be the individual who brings about this peace; howbeit, a short-lived peace that will end with the Arab-Muslim states attacking Israel, that's Ezekiel 38, Daniel 11, and Psalm 83. Ezekiel 38:2 says that Russia, the Magog of the passage, will lead the attack against Israel.

Vladimir Putin's call for an international Middle East peace conference does indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

An Israeli official says the IDF must be ready to stop Iran at any cost

The newly installed Deputy Minister of Defense in Israel, Ephraim Sneh, believes that sanctions against Iran are unlikely to work; therefore, Israel must be ready to stop Iran's drive for a Nuclear Weapon of Mass Destruction (WMD).

The Deputy Defense Minister, a former Israeli Defense Force (IDF) brigadier-general described as untenable the scenario of Israel living under a dark cloud of fear from a leader, Iranian President Ahmadinejad, who is committed to Israel's destruction.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The dramatic statement by Israel's deputy defense minister that they must stop Iran at any cost is a scenario found in Bible prophecy for the End Times.

The radical rhetoric from Iran's President Ahmadinejad over the last two years has confirmed the Israeli assessment that Iran is today the major threat to the Jewish state. Iranian President Ahmadinejad's declaration that the Holocaust never happened and his proclamation to the Islamic world that they must rise up and remove Israel from this world and forget their name forever has incited the radical Islamic street to fulfill these pronouncements.

As world leaders grapple with how to deal with the potential for this Islamic republic to have a Nuclear WMD, Israel sits on the sideline in fear that a nuclear-powered Iran would follow through on its threats to destroy the Jewish state. This report and the statement by Deputy Defense Minister Sneh fits the scenario that is found in Bible prophecy for the Last Days. The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel spoke of Iran as a major player in the Last Days who will attack the Jewish state, that's Ezekiel 38:5 where Persia is used as the biblical name for the modern-day state of Iran. The Psalmist in Psalm 83 reveals that Iran will be joined by Syria, Assur in Psalm 83:8, and Lebanon, Tyre in Psalm 83:7, to cut Israel off from being a nation, Psalm 83:4.

Israel's concerns about Iran's threat are well founded.

Russia is seeking closer ties with Saudi Arabia and the Islamic world

Russian President Vladimir Putin, on his first-ever trip to Saudi Arabia, has offered to help the Saudis develop atomic energy and President Putin said that Russia is determined to enhance cooperation with the Islamic world.

Saudi King Abdullah called Putin a statesman, a man of peace, and a man of justice as the two leaders met to discuss military and energy ties between the two countries even as the Russian president has been criticizing the US' Middle Eastern policy.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Russian president's recent Middle Eastern tour that criticized US' Middle Eastern policy and discussed developing nuclear capabilities with Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries is a precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy for this region and these nations.

Vladimir Putin has had to deal with a Muslim problem as it relates to the Russian Chechnya conflict and in order to enhance Russia's Islamic ties the Russian President made a trip to the Middle East recently to mend some fences. Putin remarked to the Saudi officials that Russia is indeed determined to enhance cooperation with the Islamic world. Of interest to Western world leaders, should be the talks that Mr. Putin had with Saudi King Abdullah referring to the nuclear, military, and energy needs in the Middle East among the Arab countries. This especially in light of the fact that Russia has supplied all the nuclear technology and technicians to develop Iran's nuclear program. This report is indeed a precursor to the Bible prophecy scenario that one day will surface in the Middle East.

Saudi Arabia is listed in the Alignment of Nations that will attack Israel in the Last Days to destroy the Jewish state. They are referred to in Psalm 38:6 as the Ishmaelites. Russia, the Magog of Ezekiel 38:2, is the leader of this coalition of nations that form in the Last Days. Iran is also mentioned in that coalition, they are the Persia of Ezekiel 38:5.

Bible prophecy is ready for the final drama and President Putin's trip to Saudi Arabia and the other Middle Eastern countries is indeed a precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Hamas and Fatah have agreed to a unity government for one billion dollars

Saudi Arabia has promised to fund the new Palestinian Unity government with one billion dollars in aid to the unity government that has been agreed upon which had eluded Fatah and Hamas for a number of months; however, the agreement will not require Hamas to abide by previous agreements signed between the PLO and Israel.

Israeli Vice Prime Minister Shimon Peres issued a statement saying that a united Palestinian government without a united policy in favor of peace does not solve any problem, the Palestinians need to form a government, Peres said, that will embark on a new path towards peace.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The recent agreement between Fatah and Hamas, the two factions of the Palestinian people, to form a unity government is actually a step towards the scenario found in Bible prophecy for the Palestinian people.

For a number of months, the two factions of the Palestinian body politic - Hamas and Fatah - have been on again and off again in their efforts to form a Palestinian unity government. Even though there is somewhat of a unity government, the agreement allows for Hamas to continue leading the Palestinian Authority without recognizing Israel's right to exist. This story is right in line with a scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for the Palestinian people.

The ancient Jewish prophet Malachi revealed that these people, the Edomites - today's Palestinians - would return and rebuild which has been the case over the last seventy five years, that's found in Malachi 1:4. Malachi then records the words of God towards the Edomites, that their borders would become the borders of wickedness and that He would have indignation against the Palestinian people forever, and that is also found in Malachi 1:4. God has promised judgment against the Edomites - the Palestinian people of today- in the prophetic books of Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Malachi, and Obadiah. The reason that judgment is coming is because the Edomites are killing the Jewish people and taking their land.

Time will tell if there is really going to be a Palestinian unity government, but one thing's for sure, Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The number of religious believers in China could be three times higher than official estimates

In a recent survey taken by the Chinese State Media it has been revealed that more than thirty percent of the people of China above the age of sixteen consider themselves as "religious", which could be three times higher than what the Chinese officials had estimated.

This report suggests that three hundred million people nationwide in China could be religious, compared to the official figure of one hundred million, allowing this report to back up suspicions that religion has been enjoying a resurgence in China over the past twenty years and this as the communist party disapproval of the exercise of religion has eased up somewhat.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The recent survey taken in China of the country's religious beliefs revealed that even an atheistic nation is vulnerable to the spread of the truth as will be the case across the entire world in the future days of judgment, that according to Bible prophecy.

Reports in recent years coming out of Communist China indicated there were millions of Christians in the underground church that were being jailed or persecuted for their beliefs. Hundreds of missionaries have worked closely with this underground church to distribute Bibles, to witness to Chinese people in the street, and to otherwise try to spread the message of Christ to a needy people. Now, the official Chinese media are reporting that the government's estimates may be way off with three times what they had estimated as the number of believers in China. What's unique about this report is that it is similar to the report that will come out of the Tribulation Period, a seven year period of judgment yet in the future, the time between the Rapture of the Church and the return of Jesus Christ to Earth.

The book of Revelation tells of two witnesses, two preachers, that will be located on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem during the first half of the Tribulation Period and they will have a ministry that will turn people to Christianity and Jesus Christ, that's Revelation 11:3-7. Revelation 7:4-9 speaks of one hundred and forty four thousand Jewish men coming to Christ and then they will spread across the world to preach the gospel to everyone on Earth.

In fact, Jesus said in Matthew 24:14 that when everyone on Earth had heard the gospel during that seven year Tribulation Period, He would return to the Earth to setup His kingdom.

Mexico has launched a giant telescope that they say will give us clues about the creation of the Universe

Mexican President Vicente Fox has inaugurated a giant telescope that they say could help scientists uncover clues about the creation of the universe as it picks up radio waves that have been supposedly traveling through space for nearly the 13 billion years.

The director of the National Astrophysics Institute in Mexico said at the inauguration of the giant telescope that it would allow scientists to make discoveries about the formation and evolution of galaxies and stars and about the origin of the universe itself. President Fox said that this telescope will put Mexico in the scientific, investigative vanguard in astrophysics.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The announcement by Mexican President Vicente Fox of its new giant telescope and its potential to uncover clues about the creation of the universe has an interesting connection with Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

Vicente Fox, the president of Mexico, has inaugurated the most important scientific and technological project in the history of his country, the giant telescope that could help uncover clues to the creation of our universe. The telescope which resembles a gigantic satellite dish, sits high in the mountains where the air is so thin, that the scientists working at the site have to have bottle oxygen on hand in case of an emergency. The National Astrophysics Institute in Mexico believes that this new telescope will help mankind to discover the formation and the evolution of galaxies, the stars, and even the universe itself.

This investigation into the origins of the universe is evidence that modern day science does not accept the account of Creation, the origins of this universe and all that is in it, as found in the Bible in Genesis 1. This is actually what Peter the Apostle said would happen in the Last Days. Men would be willfully ignorant or dumb on purpose about God's creative act for everything that is, that's found in II Peter 3:1-8.

A denial of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is also coupled with this denial that God created this world.

Islamic leaders warn archaeologists that they are playing with fire if they continue excavations near and at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem

The excavations of a tunnel under Jerusalem's City of David and the construction of a bridge leading up to the entrance of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem have ignited the Muslim leadership of the Temple Mount who have warned Israeli archaeologists that they are playing with fire and have now triggered threats of violence from Islamic Trust officials.

The bridge construction causing the controversy is the one to replace the original stone ramp leading up to the Macrabe Gate that has been the entrance to the Temple Mount for decades. Archaeological work at the City of David site, the original site of the city of Jerusalem, is centered on a tunnel underneath the Palestinian village of Silwan, which is the hometown for a number of Palestinian militants.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The increasing tensions surrounding the Temple Mount in Jerusalem with threats of violence if Israeli archaeologists continue their excavations are setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The headlines in the Jerusalem Post revealed that the Islamic Trust, the Muslim custodians of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, has issued threats of violence over a planned bridge leading up to the Temple Mount. Meanwhile, the exiled leader of Hamas, Khaled Mashaal, condemned the excavations of the tunnel near the archaeological site of the City of David and warned that these Israeli archaeologists are playing with fire, saying that the Muslim masses and all of its groups and military wings would rise up to protect the Muslim holy site known as Al Aqsa, also known as the Temple Mount. These two stories have us focused on the Temple Mount, the most sacred piece of real estate in all of Creation.

The ancient Jewish prophet Zechariah wrote some 2,500 years ago that Jerusalem would be the center of controversy and that is exactly what it's becoming today, that prophecy by the way found in Zechariah 12:2-3.

Zechariah 1:12-16 reveals to the reader that the Lord is aggressively possessive of Jerusalem and that one day, seemingly very soon, Jesus Christ will return to Jerusalem to build His Temple on this controversial site known as the Temple Mount.

Russia is worried that its Muslim community is on track to account for more than half its population

Low domestic birthrates coupled with ever-increasing immigration from the former Soviet Republic is producing explosive growth in Russia's Muslim community which is on track to account for more than half its population by mid-century.

Russia's national fertility rate is 1.28 children per woman, far below what is needed to maintain the country's population of nearly 143 million, while the average fertility rate for Russian Muslims is six children per woman. Russia's Muslim population has increased by 40% since 1989 and by 2015, Muslims will make up a majority of Russia's military, figures that have Slavic Russians concerned about becoming a minority in their own country.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The ever-increasing Muslim population in Russia is setting the stage for the prophetic scenario found in Bible for the Last Days.

The former superpower nation of Russia has in recent years been moving to reestablish itself as a major player on the world scene. Russian President Vladimir Putin, a major force in Russian politics, has emerged as a key player in world affairs and looks to continue to impact Russia, Europe, and in fact the world. However, there are concerns that the explosive birth rate and immigration of Muslims in Russia could also have an impact on world affairs in the very near future.

This is a scenario that is found in Bible prophecy for the Last Days as it pertains to Russia. Ezekiel, the ancient Jewish prophet some 2,500 years ago prewrote history with his prophecy that the geographical location known then as Magog, modern-day Russia, would lead a coalition of nations to destroy Israel, that's Ezekiel 38:2. All the other nations in that coalition would be of Islamic or Arabic background, that's Ezekiel 38 as well verses 2-6.

Russia's ever-increasing Muslim population is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

A group of Israelis have warned Iran, "Don't mess with Israel"

In an open letter written by a group of Israelis, they wrote, "People of Iran beware, your leaders are taking you down a dead end street, if they continue it will end with a terrible blow to the Iranian people and their country and bedlam in the whole region."

The initiators of this letter are hoping to get 100,00 Israelis to sign the letter and then distribute it to Ahmadinejad's blog, the Iranian mission to the UN, and official Iranian websites. The letter organizers say they are not deluding themselves to believe that they might significantly change reality with the letter, but they say that Israelis are aware of the magnitude of the Iranian threat and the letter is a way to enable them to do something about it.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Iranians should pay attention to the warning issued by an open letter from Israelis not to mess with Israel or they will pay the consequences, and Bible prophecy agrees.

Almost out of frustration, a group of Israeli citizens have issued an open letter to Iran warning that if they continue along the path chosen by their President Ahmadinejad with intent to destroy Israel and the Jewish people, they will face the consequences. The letter states that Ahmadinejad is leading a regime who is working diligently to acquire Nuclear Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) for military purposes that could cause the death of thousands or even millions of you and others.

The warning from the letter to not mess with Israel is a warning that Iran should pay close attention to before it's too late, according to Bible prophecy. The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel includes Iran, mentioned as Persia in Ezekiel 38:5, as one of the coalition of nations to come to destroy the Jews and Israel. However, Ezekiel 38:18-23 says that the Lord will intercede against Iran and the others to protect the Jewish state. The truth is, that five of every six people in Iran and its military will be killed when they come to try to take Israel, that's Ezekiel 39:2-6.

President Ahmadinejad and the Iranians had better pay attention to the warning to not mess with Israel.

Despite a signed peace treaty, Egypt considers Israel an enemy state

Even though it's been 27 years since Israel and Egypt signed a peace treaty - the Camp David Accords - the vast majority of Egyptians still see Israel as an enemy state.

The poll - made public recently - shows that 92% of those Egyptians responding to the poll conducted by an Egyptian state institute sees Israel as an enemy despite the lasting peace agreement between the two countries signed back in 1978. That same poll showed which countries have been crowned as friends of Egypt, a list that includes: Saudi Arabia, Libya, the Palestinian Authority (PA), Sudan, and Syria.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A 27-year old peace treaty between Israel and Egypt that is not working actually sets the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

In September of 1978, then US President Jimmy Carter brokered a peace treaty between Israel and Egypt, two nations that had been mortal enemies for a number of years. The Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and Israeli PM Menachem Begin met with Jimmy Carter at the US Presidential Retreat in Camp David, Maryland and agreed to sign the first-ever peace treaty between Israel and any of her enemies. Hailed as a major breakthrough in efforts to bring peace to the Middle East, this treaty - the Camp David Accords - has not been able to bring about that long sought after peace. This recent poll that shows 92% of the Egyptians consider Israel an enemy state is evidence that though there is a peace treaty on the table between Israel and Egypt, it is not working. This then sets the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The ancient Jewish prophet Daniel wrote of a time when there would be a peace treaty on the table not working, that's found in Daniel 9:27. This prophetic text says that the Antichrist will not sign but confirm a peace treaty, one that is not working. The Hebrew word for confirm found in the text is, "Gabar"which does indeed mean confirm and not sign.

A peace treaty between Israel and Egypt that is not working does indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
