Egypt signed a treaty that will bring international troops to Israel's borders

Egypt has signed a treaty with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) that will allow for this multi-national military force to help secure the Egyptian-Israeli border along the south Gaza Strip.

The treaty, signed at NATO's headquarters in Brussels, was welcomed by NATO's sources and entitles Egypt to the right to cooperate with NATO on the issue of border control, the exchange of intelligence, and the stabilizing of sensitive areas. Egypt becomes the second Middle East country to sign such a pact and NATO said that other countries in the region are expected to sign similar treaties in the near future.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The treaty signed between Egypt and NATO recently moves toward setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

NATO is a military force that is made up of member-states of the EU and the US. NATO has been deployed on many peace keeping operations in Europe and the Middle East including Afghanistan and southern Lebanon. Egypt is the first Arab state to sign a treaty with NATO which would allow for a military force to enter the region under the auspices of being peace keepers. There are a number of other Middle Eastern-Arab states that will sign similar agreements with NATO in the near future.

This agreement makes way for a military force, made up of troops from nations around the world, to enter the Middle East and setup operations at Israels borders. This scenario is very similar to the prophetic scenario that c an be found in Bible prophecy for the Last Days. Zechariah wrote 2,500 years ago how the nations of the world would send their armies to Jerusalem at the end of the seven year Tribulation Period just prior to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, Zechariah 14:2. These military forces in Israel will be a part of the multi-national army at the Battle of in Armageddon, Revelation 19:11-15.

This NATO treaty does indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
