A group of rabbis in Israel say the Israeli Defense Force clash with the flotilla headed towards Gaza is the beginning of the Gog and Magog prophecy

The Rabbinical Council of Judea and Samaria has issued a statement that the results of the incident in which Israel intercepted a flotilla trying to break the naval blockade of Gaza seems like the Biblical description of the beginning of the Gog and Magog prophecy. The rabbis said that Ezekiel's prophecy of Gog and Magog, Ezekiel 38, is the prophecy of the Bible that deals with the world turning against the Jewish state of Israel - but it ends with the third and final redemption of the Jewish people.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The fact that a group of Israeli rabbis see the beginning of the prophetic scenario found in Ezekiel 38 and 39 is absolute evidence that we are closer than ever before to the battle of Gog and Magog.

There is a profound prophetic passage found in the prophecy of the prophet Ezekiel that has caught the attention of a group of Israeli rabbis. The passage calls for the world, according to the rabbi, to turn against the Jewish state of Israel. The rabbis believe that the battle of Gog and Magog found in Ezekiel 38 and 39, is about to be fulfilled as a result of the world's condemnation of Israel for its interception of the flotilla that tried to break the naval blockade of Gaza. What is interesting is that the list of nations referred to in Ezekiel 38 includes the Middle East nation from which the flotilla embarked on its trip to Gaza.

Ezekiel, the ancient Jewish prophet, prewrote history in his prophecy and mentioned Meshech, Gomer, Tubal, and Togarmah, in Ezekiel 38:2, as a major player when the Middle Eastern Islamic world does indeed turn violently against Israel. Any student of Biblical geography knows that Meshech, Gomer, Tubal, and Togarmah are the Biblical locations for modern-day Turkey. However, Turkey, according to Bible prophecy, is only one of the coalition of nations that will come against Israel. Daniel 11 mentions Syria and Ezekiel 38:5 also includes Iran.

The rabbis are on the right track. It does appear that Ezekiel 38 will indeed be fulfilled in the near future.
