The Mufti of Jerusalem says that Israeli control of Hebron, Bethlehem, and Jerusalem could start a religious war

Listen to Today's Program Play

Jerusalem's Mufti Mohammed Hussein, the highest ranking Islamic cleric in Jerusalem, says that Israeli sovereignty over Hebron, Bethlehem, and Jerusalem, three of the most important holy sites in Judaism, could start a religious war.

Hebron is the location of the burial site of the Jewish patriarchs. Bethlehem is where Jacob buried his wife, Rachel and in Jerusalem, the Temple Mount is the holiest site for the Jewish people and the location where Jews want to build a temple in the near future.

The mufti's says Israel's claim to these Jewish holy sites is an attempt to take over the religious sites and Moslems are now in a period of war, not with tanks and rockets, but a religious war.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by the mufti of Jerusalem that Israel's claim to their holy sites is a declaration of a religious war is a page out of Bible prophecy for the last days.

The Israeli government has established a list of heritage sites in Israel, sacred sites that are a part of Jewish history. Included in that list are three locations that the mufti of Jerusalem says will be the cause for a religious war if Israel stands firm on their claims to these sites. The sites include Rachel's tomb in Bethlehem, Rachel being Jacob's wife who died in childbirth, Genesis 35. Genesis 23 is the record of Abraham paying cash money for the Machpelah Cave, the burial site for the patriarchs of the Jewish people: Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. Israel's King David also paid cash money to Ornan the Jebusite for his threshing floor on Mt. Moriah, the site for the two previous Jewish temples in Jerusalem, I Chronicles 21.

The threat of a religious war between the Jews and the Moslems is setting the stage for an end of times conflict between these two peoples. The ancient prophet Joel, in Joel 2:2-3, warned that the largest militia ever formed on the earth will come to Jerusalem to take control of the Jewish holy sites. There is only one group of people today who could form such a militia and also people who want to control Hebron, Bethlehem, and the holy city of Jerusalem, that would be the Moslem people.

The Jerusalem mufti is right. There will be a religious war.

A number of European Union foreign ministers want to create a super president for the European Union

Listen to Today's Program Play

A select group of European Union foreign ministers are working on a plan to create a super president for the European Union that would include merging the roles of the presidents of the European Union Council and the European Commission which would be a more legitimate democracy in the European Union because this super president would be elected by the members of the European Parliament.

This proposed new super president of the European Union would be the overall powerful leader of Europe with responsibility over Europe's economic matters, all foreign policy, and any European military operation.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The call for a super president of the European Union is a page out of Bible prophecy for the end of times.

The results of a meeting with a select group of European foreign ministers is the need for a super president to lead the United Nations of Europe into the future.  This super president of the European Union would play the major role in economic policy for the 27 member states of the European Union and this leader would have responsibility for the direction of the European Union foreign policy as well.  With plans in the EU for a military force in the near future would give leadership to this super president for military affairs as well in the European Union which would then become a major force in geopolitical events in our world today.

This report is almost like reading the prophetic scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for the last days.  The ancient Jewish prophet Daniel wrote 2500 years ago of the revival of the old Roman Empire (Daniel 7:7, 23-24).  Daniel 7:8 reveals that a little horn which comes out of the ten horns of Daniel 7:7 will take control of the ten horns.  Now this is a prophetic scenario of the Revived Roman Empire and its leader the Antichrist who will be indeed a super leader who comes to power.

The European Union is today at least the infrastructure for the Revived Roman Empire and there are a number of potential candidates to become the proposed super president.  The political activities of the European Union and its potential super president are evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Israel celebrates its 64th birthday

Listen to Today's Program Play

Following the day that the state of Israel stops to remember its fallen soldiers of all of Israel's wars,  this Jewish state celebrates its 64th birthday as a modern day nation among the Moslem nations of the Middle East.  Many of the Middle Eastern nations say that the Jewish state is not a legitimate nation and these Arab states have stated that they would like to see the demise of the Jewish state of Israel to be replaced by a Palestinian state.

The political and military leaders of Israel say they have no plans to abandon what many say God has given the Jewish people and others declare that the Jews are back home in the land of their forefathers which has been a Jewish land for 4000 years.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The 64th birthday of the modern day state of Israel is absolute proof that Bible prophecy has and will be fulfilled.

This independence day in Israel is the 64th birthday of the modern day Jewish state an event that will see all Israelis celebrating this day with family gatherings, picnics, and trips to the beach.  While the body politic of Israel celebrates their birthday, Israeli leaders, both politically and militarily, are preparing for the war threat given by the Islamic leaders to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.  Other world leaders recognized Israel's potential danger in a Middle East war, however, at the same time, they recognize that this was a miraculous event that took place when Israel became a state in 1948 after 2000 years of absence in the Biblical lands of their forefathers.

The prophet Ezekiel wrote 2500 years ago that this indeed would happen as revealed in Ezekiel 37 when the Lord promised that He would find the Jews scattered all across the earth, regather them into their land, and restore them as a nation.  Ezekiel 34 is the record of 18 times when the Lord said that He would bring the Jews back into the Land that that God had promised them.  In Ezekiel 36:22 the Lord states that He did this not for the sake of the Jewish people, but for His holy name sake.  Also in Ezekiel 36, God promised the land to the Jewish people.  However, Ezekiel 38 reveals that Israel will face an attack by the Islamic nations in an effort to destroy the Jewish state.

Israel's 64th birthday is indeed a reminder that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

As Israelis honor the fallen of all of their wars, the prospect of a Middle Eastern war looms on the horizon

Listen to Today's Program Play

Israelis stopped for two minutes across the state of Israel as the sound of the national siren called the Jewish state to pause and remember the fallen soldiers of all of their wars during the short history of the modern day state of Israel.

The total number of men and women who have died in duty to their country is 22,993. A number that represents the best of this Jewish nation, a nation who actually wants peace with its neighbors and only to be able to coexist in the land of their forefathers.

Israel's memorial day is a day of reflection according to the leaders of Israel, but it is also a day to recognize the potential for another major Middle Eastern war that may be closer than anyone wants to admit.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

As Israelis mark memorial day each year, the ever rising number of fallen soldiers from all of Israel's wars is a reminder that they may face another war in the Middle East which is confirmed by the ancient Jewish prophets.

On memorial day in Israel, a nationwide siren sounds to call the Jewish state to stop and honor the almost 23,000 fallen soldiers from wars during Israel's short history. Every family in Israel has been affected by these wars and memorial day is a constant reminder of how bad the past was and how bad the future may be as well. The neighborhood of the Middle East is a potential war zone almost on a daily basis and all the world recognizes what could happen, however it is not what could happen, but what will happen according to the ancient Jewish prophets.

Daniel wrote 2500 years ago that Syria, Egypt, and Libya would be the first three nations to move against the Jewish state, Daniel 11:40-43. Ezekiel mentioned additional Muslim nations that would also attack Israel including Turkey and Iran, Ezekiel 38. The Psalmist added Saudi Arabia and Lebanon into the alignment of nations to attack Israel in the last days, Psalm 83. In fact, the prophet Joel said that the largest military might in history will be formed to destroy Israel, Joel 2:3.

Each memorial day in Israel is a reminder that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

There are reports that the Dead Sea could dry up in the next several years - but there may be a solution

Listen to Today's Program Play

For a number of years, the Dead Sea, located in the Jordan Valley with the Eastern shore in Jordan and the Western shore in Israel, the Dead Sea has been losing its water and now it's sinking by about three feet per year which is causing fears both in Jordan and Israel that the Dead Sea could literally dry up by the year 2050.

One of the main ideas being considered by Jordan and Israel is the Red Dead Conveyance Project, a project that would involve digging a canal and using a series of water pipeline conduits that could bring water from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea in order to bring the Dead Sea water level back to normal.

The project would take over 20 years to complete and would cost as much as 15 billion dollars at today's values, but when completed, the project would bring about a new source of electric energy for the region, create new recreational areas to draw tourists to the area, and save one of the wonders of the world, the Dead Sea, which is located at the lowest spot on the earth.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Red Dead Project could save the Dead Sea, but it also may be a project that will set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

For a number of years, Middle East politicos, governmental leaders, and engineers have been talking about the Red Dead Project and how it could be the answer to the ever increasing problem at the Dead Sea and its loss of water. In search of a solution for this problem, Israeli President Shimon Peres presented the Red Dead Project to a regional gathering of political leaders, governmental officials and bankers.

This momentous project would take years and cost billions of dollars, but would also ultimately pay for itself in the long run. There are those who say this type of project could produce great wealth like the silver and gold that could be extracted from the Dead Sea, enough money to pay the national debts of almost every nation in the world.

In the book of Ezekiel 38:13, the prophet mentions the gold and silver that will attract Israel's enemies to come to destroy the Jewish state. Later in Ezekiel 47, he mentions how water from the Temple in Jerusalem will actually flow down to the Dead Sea and make it a freshwater lake, not 10 times saltier than the ocean as it is today.

A focus on the Dead Sea is indeed a prop on the stage for the end times scenario that will be fulfilled.

Almost half of the population of Israel wants to see the holy temple rebuilt in Jerusalem

Listen to Today's Program Play

In a recent nationwide poll taken by the Knesset Israel's legislative body, 49% of the body politic of Israel said they want to see the holy temple rebuilt on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem where there once stood two previous Jewish temples. The last one, Herod's temple, was destroyed in 70AD by the Roman soldiers led by General Titus.

The Israeli public is about evenly split on whether they believe the temple will be rebuilt with a slight edge 42% - 39% to those who believe that the third temple will be rebuilt. Given the current political climate, the onset of construction of the temple is not likely to go over quietly in the Islamic world which currently has day to day control of the Temple Mount.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The almost 50% of Israelis who want to see the holy Jewish temple rebuilt in Jerusalem are in perfect harmony with what the Bible reveals will happen in the last days.

In a recent national poll carried out in Israel, 49% of the Israelis said that they want to see the rebuilding of the third temple in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount. The Temple Mount has been the location of two previous temples, the one built by King Solomon some 3000 years ago and the one built by Zerubbabel 2500 years ago. The second temple, known as Herod's Temple, because it took Herod 46 years to refurbish Zerubbabel's temple, was referred to by the rabbis as the temple that if you had never seen it, you had never seen a beautiful building.

Since 70AD, when Herod's Temple was destroyed, there have been countless efforts to rebuild it on the Temple Mount. The ancient Jewish prophet Daniel said that there will be a third temple in Jerusalem during the seven year Tribulation period (Daniel 9:27). Jesus confirmed Daniel's prophecy in his Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24:15) when He said, when you see the abomination of desolation in the temple, flee Jerusalem. That abomination will be the Antichrist entering the temple and claiming to be God (II Thessalonians 2:4). Revelation 11:1 guarantees that there will be a temple in Jerusalem. John the Revelator was told to measure the location for the next Jewish temple.

50% of Israelis are right - there will be a temple in Jerusalem and maybe very soon now. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

A senior research fellow at the Hudson Institute says that Jewish ties to the Temple Mount will bring peace to the Middle East

Listen to Today's Program Play

Dr. Max Singer a senior research fellow at the Begin Sadat Center for Strategic Studies says the only chance for real peace in the Middle East is if the western nations convince the Arabs that Jewish ties to the Temple Mount will bring about peace in the region.

Singer believes that the continual denial by the PA leadership of the Jewish people's ancient connection to the land of Israel and the sacred significance to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount where once stood two Jewish temples will hinder any peace efforts to the two peoples to coexist in the Middle East and thus only enhance the continuing conflict.

In spite of the fact that the PA Mufti Sheikh Sabri, the high ranking Islamic cleric, claims there has never been a Jewish presence on the Temple Mount, Jewish scholars cite many historic and Biblical sources to confirm that Jews have a 3000 year old connection to the Temple Mount and Jerusalem.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by the senior Jewish research fellow that Jewish ties to the Temple Mount will bring peace to the Middle East is right on target according to Bible prophecy.

Dr. Max Singer, the founder and senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, believes that if Jewish ties are restored to the Temple Mount and Jerusalem, there will be peace in the Middle East. Bible prophecy reveals that Dr. Singer is correct in the final outcome in the end of time scenario written by ancient Jewish prophets 2500 years ago. The prophet Samuel wrote in II Samuel 7 that one of King David's descendants would rule the world from a Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, that descendant will be Jesus Christ, the Jewish Messiah. Isaiah wrote that when the Temple, the house of the Lord, will be established in Jerusalem, nations would turn their military weapons into farming equipment and they would learn of war no more, thus peace in the world, Isaiah 2:1-4.

As the quest for peace in the Middle East continues, all must agree with the Bible, Jewish ties to the Temple Mount will indeed bring about peace.

As Israel marks the slaughter of six million Jews, the prime minister warns Israelis that they must stop another Holocaust from happening

Listen to Today's Program Play

Holocaust Remembrance Day is a solemn day in Israel and in fact across the whole Jewish world as all Jews mark the slaughter of six million people who were guilty of one thing, they were Jewish.

Under the Nazi regime of Adolf Hitler, Jews in Europe were put in concentration camps and then many of them were exterminated in crematoriums and large furnaces so that the world could be rid of this plight to society.

Memories of the Holocaust haunt the present-day leadership of Israel which motivated the prime minister to tell all Israelis that their nation must stop the development of a nuclear weapon of mass destruction by Iran or the alternative could lead to another horrific Holocaust.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Holocaust Remembrance Day is a constant reminder of a terrible past for the Jewish people and it must be a warning of a horrific future Holocaust worse than the first according to Bible prophecy.

As Jews in Israel and around the world literally stand in silence for two minutes to honor the victims of the Holocaust on Holocaust Remembrance Day, the warning goes forth of another Holocaust that may not be too far into the future.

At ceremonies in Jerusalem at Yad Veshem, the Holocaust remembrance museum, Israeli PM Netanyahu honored the victims of the Holocaust under Hitler during WWII, but he also warned that Iran and its radical leadership today could launch another Holocaust as they have threatened to do.

Netanyahu reminded Israelis that there could never be another Holocaust and he told his nation that they must lead the way in stopping Iran from developing a nuclear weapon of mass destruction that could be used to destroy the Jewish state of Israel.

The ancient Jewish prophet Zechariah foretold of a time in the future, the time of Jacob's trouble, Zechariah 30:7 when two out of every three Jews will be slaughtered, Zechariah 13:8. This future Holocaust will be so bad that God will dispatch Michael the Archangel to protect the Jewish people from total annihilation, Daniel 12:1.

Marking the slaughter of six million Jews is a reminder of the past, but it must be a warning for the future.

Iran says they are ready to go to war with Israel

Listen to Today's Program Play

Iranian President Ahmadinejad, the Iranian military chief, and even the leadership of the Supreme Council of Iran, the Ayatollahs, the Islamic leaders, say that they are prepared for an attack from Israel, the United States, or any other nation that may decide to move against the Islamic Republic. The Iranian threat to the Middle East, Europe, and even to the United States, is the development of a nuclear weapon of mass destruction in Iran that could be used to destroy the Jewish state as has been called for by the Iranian president.

Israel recognizes Iran as their number one threat and have put in place a strategic plan to make certain that Iran does not have a nuclear weapon of mass destruction that could be fired on the Jewish state and that plan may well be a preemptive strike against Iran.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The saber rattling by Iran against Israel and the fact that there is evidence Israel is preparing for a preemptive strike against Iran is a precursor to the prophetic scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for the last days.

There has been much discussion among Israeli officials in recent days that seems to indicate the Israeli government may well be ready to order a preemptive strike against Iran in order to dismantle Iran's development of a nuclear weapon of mass destruction. Iran has responded to these discussions with a declaration of readiness to go to war with Israel. The Israeli government says they will not allow the Iranians to launch a long range missile with a nuclear warhead towards the Jewish state of Israel. Almost every Israeli leader believes that Iran is indeed Israel's number one threat and that they must be dealt with.

What is so interesting to me as a student of Bible prophecy is that this scenario was foretold 2500 years ago by the ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel. Ezekiel 38:5 mentions the nation Persia as one of the nations that will align themselves against the Jewish state. Until 1936 the nation of Iran was called Persia - today it's Iran. In the Scriptures we find out that the Lord will intercede in the affairs of man and destroy Iran and the other nations aligned against the Jewish state when they make their attack against Israel (Ezekiel 38:18 - 39:6).

Israel is as expected preparing to take care of their number one threat Iran. However, the Lord will be the one to defend the Jewish state that is according to Bible prophecy - Bible prophecy that will be fulfilled.

The Iraqi people who were under the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein believe their present prime minister is becoming another dictator

Listen to Today's Program Play

Key political factions in war torn Iraq have accused their present prime minister Nouri Maliki of becoming a dictator and setting in place a governmental system similar to that of the late Saddam Hussein who ruled the Iraqi people with an iron fist in a decade long dictatorship.

Anti US Shiite cleric Muqtada Sadr who leads one of Iraq's political parties has accused Prime Minister Maliki of trying to either delay or actually cancel the next Iraqi election and lead the country under a dictatorship similar to the style of the late Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A return to an Iraqi dictatorship like the one under Saddam Hussein is a precursor for the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

For over a decade, Saddam Hussein led the Iraqi people as a strongman dictator and he gave the orders for thousands of his own people to be killed because they refused his leadership. Muqtada Sadr, a radical Islamic cleric who has a large militia under his leadership as well as a political party that Sadr heads, wants to bring down the Maliki government thus the reason for accusing Maliki of being a dictator.

This scenario fits the prophetic passages in God's Word that reveal a period of time in the future when Iraq will once again be under a dictatorship according to Revelation 18 and 13:16-17. These passages indicate that dictator will be the Antichrist, the Satanically energized personality of the Tribulation Period. Modern day Iraq, a war torn nation today, will indeed rebuild and be known as Babylon, that's its biblical name, and it will become the economic, political, governmental capital of the world that rules under the dictatorship of the Antichrist. The ancient Jewish prophets reveal that after Babylon comes back to power it will be destroyed, Isaiah 13-14, Jeremiah 50-51 and Revelation 16.

A move towards a dictatorship in Iraq today is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

A Palestinian leader calls for the Arab world to rise up and stop Israel from Judaizing the city of Jerusalem

Listen to Today's Program Play

The PM of Hamas, an Islamic terror organization located in the Gaza Strip, has made an urgent call for the international Arab and Moslem world to stop what he called Israel's Judaization of Jerusalem and all the attacks by the Jewish state on the Moslem community in Israel.

Ismail Haniyeh, the Hamas PM, during a recent visit to Cairo, Egypt slammed Israel for the ethnic cleansing of Jerusalem and a campaign against Moslem symbols.

The Hamas PM says Jerusalem is the future capital of a Palestinian state and the Moslem world must do whatever is necessary to stop the Judaization of Jerusalem by the Israelis.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A call for the Arab and Moslem world to stop the Judaization of Jerusalem is a declaration of war according to Bible prophecy.

A center focus of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the final status of the city of Jerusalem. The Israelis say Jerusalem is their undivided, eternal capital and there can be no compromise on the issue. Meanwhile, the Palestinians claim that Jerusalem will be the capital of the Palestinian state that will come about either through diplomatic maneuvers or as a result of an armed struggle. A recent call by the Hamas PM Haniyeh for the Arab and Moslem world to rise up and use all means available to stop the Israelis from Judaizing Jerusalem is in essence a declaration of war.

According to the ancient Jewish prophets, the city of Jerusalem will in fact belong to the Jewish people and it will belong to them forever. Zechariah wrote 2500 years ago that the Messiah, Jesus Christ, will return to Jerusalem, Zechariah 1:16, and build His Temple, Zechariah 6:12, where He will rule and reign forever, Zechariah 6:13. The Jewish King David was given a promise, II Samuel 7, the Davidic Covenant, a promise that there would be a Jewish temple in Jerusalem for one of his sons to rule from in the Jewish Kingdom forever. In fact, God said that He had selected Jerusalem as the location where He would dwell among His people, the Jewish people, forever.

The Judaization of Jerusalem is an absolute.

The Palestinians are calling for unity in order to be able to destroy the state of Israel

Listen to Today's Program Play

A minister of the Palestinian Authority, the ruling body for the Palestinian people, says that the two factions of the Palestinian people, Fatah and Hamas, must unite in order to achieve the destruction of the state of Israel.  This report from an official Palestinian Authority newspaper revealed a number of Palestinian Authority ministers who agreed with the call for Palestinian unity in their struggle against Israel.

Both Fatah and Hamas, the two factions of the Palestinian body politic, have been involved in the armed struggle to remove the Jewish state from the land that Palestinians claim as their state and now the radical rhetoric is calling for Palestinian unity in order to destroy the Jewish state of Israel.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A call by the official of the Palestinian Authority for the Palestinian people to unite in order to destroy the Jewish state of Israel is a page out of Bible prophecy for the last days.

In a large Palestinian rally attended by female Palestinian prisoners recently released from Israeli jails, an official of the Palestinian Authority called for the reunification of the Palestinian people.  The Palestinian Authority minister said that the Palestinians must unite in order to achieve their goal of the destruction of the Jewish state of Israel and the establishment of a Palestinian state on all the land that today belongs to the Jewish people.

This Palestinian plan fits exactly with the prophetic passages found in the Bible that reveals what will happen in the last days between Israel and the Palestinians.  Malachi wrote that the Edomites, the Palestinian people of today, would return to Israel and set up borders - borders which the Lord said will be borders of wickedness (Malachi 1).  Ezekiel foretold of a time when the Palestinians would kill the Jewish people and then take their land (Ezekiel 35).  The little prophetic book of Obadiah says that the Palestinians will become intoxicated with power as they take the steps to rid the land now known as Israel of the Jewish people, but these Palestinians themselves will be destroyed (Obadiah 15-18).

Calls for the Palestinians to unite in order to be able to destroy Israel will only set the stage for the opposite to happen.  Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The Israeli government is considering a bill that if made law would give Israel sovereignty over the Biblical heartland of the Jewish people

Listen to Today's Program Play

The Israeli Knesset is considering a law that would make Israel sovereign over Judea and Samaria which has been the Jewish heartland since Biblical times, a piece of real estate that Israel liberated from Jordanian occupation during the Six Day War in 1967. The Jewish state has formally declared sovereignty over the eastern section of the city of Jerusalem which includes the Old City and the Temple Mount and the Golan Heights but Judea and Samaria continue to be administered by Israeli military governors.

Israeli officials believe that declaring sovereignty over the Jewish heartland of Judea and Samaria actually creates a historic opportunity for Israel to make right a protracted wrong.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Even though the Israeli government might declare sovereignty over the Jewish heartland of Judea and Samaria in this day, the Lord gave the Jews that piece of real estate many centuries ago and had promised them this land forever according to Bible prophecy.

In the 1967 Six Day War the Israeli Defense Force liberated the piece of real estate referred to as the West Bank from the Jordanians and this land, known in Biblical terms as Judea and Samaria, became a part of the Jewish state. However, the area of Judea and Samaria did not come under the sovereignty of the state of Israel but has been administered over these many many years by military governors. Now the Israeli government wants to implement sovereignty over the Biblical heartland of the Jewish people. In essence, that has already happened because God made a promise to the Jewish people and told them they would have this land forever.

Ezekiel 36 speaks much about the land of the Jewish people. In fact 35 times the prophet refers to the land, a land that will belong to the Jews for one reason: He promised this land to them and Ezekiel 36:22 says that the Lord must keep that promise for His holy namesake. The Land Covenant, a promise between the Lord and the Jews found in Deuteronomy 30, this Land Covenant must be fulfilled or God is not God. Ezekiel 35 reveals the prophecy of the Palestinian people, descendants of Esau, these Palestinians who will come and kill the Jews and take their land, that's the land of Judea and Samaria.

The Israeli government's sovereignty over Judea and Samaria is an absolute not because of human government, but because of Bible prophecy - Bible prophecy that will be fulfilled.

Thousands of Jews gather at the Western Wall in Jerusalem to receive the priestly blessings

Listen to Today's Program Play

At least 70,000 Jews from Israel and around the world gathered at the Western Wall of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem recently to receive the traditional priestly blessing, a blessing that is given to Jews who make their way to the Temple Mount on one of the three pilgrim feast days as required for Jews in the Bible.

This pilgrimage to the Temple Mount is rooted in the Jewish tradition which saw Israelites ascend to the Temple in Jerusalem for ritual worship led by the high priest during biblical times.

Today, it is a symbolic gesture because there is no Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and many religious Jews pray daily for the Temple to be rebuilt, an event which could happen any time since all preparations have been made for the building of the next Jewish Temple in Jerusalem.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Thousands of Jews gathering at the Western Wall of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem for the priestly blessings is a precursor to a scenario that has been revealed in Bible prophecy.

Jews from all over the world recently gathered at the Western Wall of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem as they did in biblical times so they could receive the priestly blessings. Over 70,000 Jews stood as the chief rabbis of Israel blessed the Jewish pilgrims and then all gathered there prayed for a Jewish Temple to be built in Jerusalem in the very near future. In fact, every time a Jew prays towards the Temple from any place around the world, they ask the Lord to restore the Temple to the Temple Mount, which has been the Jewish prayer since the destruction of the last Temple in 70 A.D.

The Bible promises a Temple in Jerusalem, a Temple given to King David in II Samuel 7 and it is the Davidic Covenant. The Messiah will return to Jerusalem to build that Temple, Zechariah 1:16 and 6:12. This Kingdom Temple, as I said, will be built by the Messiah, Jesus Christ. However, there will be a Temple in Jerusalem in the near future right there on the Temple Mount. Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4, and Revelation 11:1 are the prophetic passages that reveal there will be a Temple in Jerusalem during the Tribulation and all preparations have been made for that Temple to be built.

Thousands of Jews at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem to receive a priestly blessing is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The Arab Spring which has changed the face of the Arab world may be good - but it may also be bad

Listen to Today's Program Play

With Arabs going to the streets throughout the entire Middle East in the Arab Spring movement, the face of the Arab leadership is changing dramatically and there are those who believe this is a good thing especially for the Arabs who have been demonstrating in the streets.  These populous uprisings as the media refers to this revolution, the Arab Spring, has been responsible for removing Hosni Mubarak from 32 years of leadership over Egypt and recently brought about the death of the Libyan dictator Col. Khaddafi after 42 years as a treacherous leader in the Middle East.

The Arab Spring has changed the face of the Arab world.  However, some analysts say that this change could be bad for the future of the Middle East.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Arab Spring has changed the face of the Middle East and its leadership but it is also setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Arabs going to the streets of their nations to bring down their national leaders has been effective in a number of Arab states.  Demonstrators in the streets of Cairo brought down the 32 year reign of Hosni Mubarak.  The opposition to the radical leader of Libya, Col. Khaddafi, ended in the death in the streets of Libya to this treacherous dictator.  There is an orchestrated effort to also bring down the Syrian leader President Bashar Assad.  This revolution that has been moving across the Middle East in the Arab countries is resulting in a new leadership in many Arab states.  Only time will tell if the radical Islamist element will come to fill these power vacuums that have been created because of the Arab Spring.

However, Bible prophecy does give us insight into the future for at least 3 of these Arab nations: Syria, Egypt, and Libya.  The ancient Jewish prophet Daniel wrote many years ago that these 3 nations would be the first 3 to make a move to destroy the Jewish state of Israel (Daniel 11:40-43).  The king of the north and the king of the south in verse 40 are identified as Syria and Egypt early on in chapter 11 (Daniel 11:5-20).  Libya is mentioned in Daniel 11:43.

The results of the Arab Spring in Syria, Egypt, and Libya are indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

When US Marines tore down the large statue of Saddam Hussein in Baghdad, that was not the end but it was the beginning of the end

Listen to Today's Program Play

On April 9, 2003, US Marines entered the city of Baghdad, Iraq, and tore down the large statue of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein and many people watching this event broadcast live globally thought it marked the end of the fighting.  However, this largely symbolic event was nearly 9 years premature.  Though this destruction of Saddam's statue is a lasting symbol of the fall of the Iraqi dictator, it in reality, marked the beginning of a decade of radical insurgency in Iraq and now with US soldiers out of Iraq, this insurgency has only intensified.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The destruction of the statue of Saddam Hussein by the Iraqis with help from US Marines, did not mark the end of the war, but instead it marked the beginning of the end for Iraq itself according to Bible prophecy.

The almost decade of fighting in Iraq between US troops and the radical Islamic element in this war torn nation was thought to have been over at the very beginning when on April 9, 2003, the Iraqi people with the help from the United States Marines toppled the statue of Saddam Hussein in Baghdad.  But it was only the beginning of the end.  The insurgency has intensified since all US troops pulled out of Iraq at the end of 2011.  This scenario will continue and become more intense as we move towards the total reconstruction of this war torn nation.

According to Bible prophecy, Iraq, Biblical Babylon, will become the economic political governmental capital of the world and the Tribulation superpower personality, the Antichrist, will control the world from Babylon (Revelation 13, 18).  Every person on earth will receive an identification mark in their forehead of the back of their hand in order to be able to buy or sell the necessities of life (Revelation 13:16-17).

The fall of Saddam Hussein did indeed mark the beginning of the end which will include Babylon, modern day Iraq, Babylon being rebuilt before it is destroyed forever (Jeremiah 50, 51, and Revelation 16:17 and following).  Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Jews around the world celebrate the release from the Egyptian bondage at Passover

Listen to Today's Program Play

Thirty-five hundred years ago, a Jewish prophet named Moses led the Jewish people out of the Egyptian bondage and into freedom at a time in history when the God of the Jewish people spared the firstborn of each family who marked their doorposts with the blood of a lamb so that the Death Angel would pass over their home.

Now, for these many centuries, the Jews mark this special holy day with a Passover Seder meal and the rehearsal of the exodus story as recorded in the Bible, God's Word.

People all over the world, even presidents and other world leaders, recognize the reality of the One true God as the Jewish people mark this first of the seven Jewish feasts, the Passover.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

As Jews around the world celebrate Passover, it is a reminder of past history but also of the prophetic significance this Jewish holy day reveals to all who are students of Bible prophecy.

Thirty-five hundred years ago the Jewish people were released from 400 years of Egyptian bondage by the sacrifice of the lamb and then painting the doorposts of their homes with the lamb's blood so that the Death Angel would pass over their home. God's command to observe the Passover throughout all of their generations forever is still being followed today.

As you think of the first Passover there in Egypt, one must be reminded that the Jewish Messiah, Jesus Christ, died on Passover 2000 years ago. Interestingly, Jesus was buried on the next Jewish feast day, Unleavened Bread, He resurrected on the Jewish feast of First Fruits, and as He had promised, the Holy Spirit came upon man on Pentecost, the fourth of the Jewish feast days.

This is evidence of the prophetic significance of these Jewish feasts, but also demands that Jesus Christ fulfill the three remaining feasts as He did the first four. Jesus will come back to earth on the Feast of Trumpets, enter the Temple on the Day of Atonement, and begin His 1000 year Kingdom on the Feast of Tabernacles.

Jesus Christ, the Jewish Messiah, has been and will be the fulfillment of all Jewish feasts. The observance of the Jewish Passover is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

An Israeli rabbi has called for the restoration of animal sacrifices on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem

Listen to Today's Program Play

Rabbi Yisrael Ariel, the leader of the Temple Institute in Jerusalem, has called for the restoration of animal sacrifices on the Temple Mount even though the temple has not been rebuilt yet and the rabbi said the fact is that the Temple Mount is in Arab hands must end so that the Jews may go onto the Temple Mount and offer these animal sacrifices.

In Biblical times, when the temple was on the Temple Mount and especially during the high holy days, Jews from around the world would come to Jerusalem to offer animal sacrifices and today everything is ready to resume these sacrifices.  The priests are trained and ready, their garments are made, and the implements for the sacrificial system are ready to be used to follow God's command.  The Israeli government and the Moslem world are the only hindrances to restoring these animal sacrifices.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

An Israeli rabbi calling for the restoration of animal sacrifices on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem is a precursor for the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

When the Jewish temple was destroyed by the Romans in 70AD there ceased to be a place for animal sacrifices for the Jewish people so that they could follow the Biblical mandate to offer sacrifices.  Today all preparations have been made to both build the temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and then to restore the sacrificial system.  In fact, the Bible does mandate a return to animal sacrifices when the Messiah, Jesus Christ, returns to the earth, Zechariah 14:4, to build His temple in Jerusalem, Zechariah 1:16, 6:12.  Ezekiel 45 foretells of the sacrificial system being restored in the Kingdom period.  These kingdom sacrifices will be done in remembrance of the ultimate sacrifice by Jesus Christ and in addition, the Jews will offer sacrifices at that time for the purpose of restoring fellowship with the Messiah.  However, prior to the kingdom temple, there will be another temple in Jerusalem during the seven year Tribulation with a return to sacrifices, Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4, and Revelation 11:1-2.

A rabbi calling for the return of the sacrificial system today is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

A conversation using the Hebrew language in 1891 set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled

Listen to Today's Program Play

In a Paris cafe in 1881, a group met to have a conversation, a conversation using the Hebrew language and it may have been the first modern conversation in Hebrew in some 2000 years.

Eliezer Ben Yehuda was one of the group speaking in Hebrew and Ben Yehuda would use this conversation to launch an effort to revive the Hebrew language as a spoken language a language that would become the mother tongue of the Israeli people today.

Ben Yehuda would during his lifetime establish an institution which would create new Hebrew words for today's society and give the Jewish people the language of their forefathers that is a spoken language once again in our world.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The revival of the Hebrew language, the mother tongue of Israelis today, is evidence that Bible prophecy is being fulfilled.

Eliezer Ben Yehuda, a European Jew in the late 1800's who immigrated to Israel to raise his family would become the man credited with reviving the ancient Hebrew language. For almost 2000 years, Hebrew was not a spoken language with the exception of a few phrases used in religious activities. Ben Yehuda, starting with a conversation with friends in Paris, France developed a modern day usage of the language of the Jewish people for the first 2000 years of their existence.

Modern day Hebrew is made up of Biblical Hebrew which is 80% of modern day Hebrew and 20% of new Hebrew words that have been created over the last 130 years. Ben Yehuda put together the first Hebrew dictionary for modern Hebrew and developed the way to teach the language which is called "Ulpan". This account of how Hebrew was revived for usage today is an evidence of how Bible prophecy is being fulfilled today.

Jeremiah, an ancient Jewish prophet wrote 2500 years ago that when the Jews would return to the land of their forefathers, Jeremiah 31:8-17, the Lord would give them back the language of their forefathers, the language they would use to bless the Lord, Jeremiah 31:23. Another Jewish prophet, Zephaniah, also predicted that the pure language of Hebrew would be revived in the last days, Zephaniah 3:9.

Israelis speaking Hebrew today proves that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Iranian President Ahmadinejad says that Israel is a creation of Western nations so that they could control the Middle East

Listen to Today's Program Play

The Iranian government sponsored what they called an intifada conference in Tehran, a conference attended by all of the enemies of the Jewish state of Israel, groups who opposed the very existence of Israel including: Hamas, Hezbollah, the Muslim Brotherhood, Al Qaeda, and many other Islamic terror organizations.

Speaking at the conference, the Iranian president accused the Western nations, including the US and the member states of the EU of creating the Jewish state so that it could exert control over the Middle East and he called the establishment of Israel the worst historical crime ever.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by the Iranian President Ahmadinejad that the Jewish state of Israel was created by the nations of the West contradicts not only historical fact, but prophetic truth as well, that is according to Bible prophecy.

At a gathering of the enemies of the Jewish state of Israel held in Tehran, Iran the Intifada Conference, Iran's President Ahmadinejad continued his radical rhetoric against Israel by accusing the western nations like the US and the member states of the EU of creating Israel so they could control the Middle East. Ahmadinejad's statements referring to the creation of the Jewish state contradict history and God's plan for Israel as foretold in Bible prophecy.

The book of Genesis records the creation of the Jewish state through the patriarchs: Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Genesis 15, 26:2-3, and 35:12. The Jewish people as a nation have a 4000 year old history and an eternal existence as a nation, Isaiah 66:22. If Ahmadinejad was speaking of the modern day state of Israel, he is wrong again. The present Jewish state is a result of the fulfillment of God's prophetic promises being fulfilled. The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel wrote 2500 years ago that the Lord would regather His scattered people and restore them as a nation, Ezekiel 37:7-11. In fact, Ezekiel wrote that the Lord would make the modern day state of Israel greater than the one of their forefathers, Ezekiel 36:10-11.

Ahmadinejad's words are incorrect. The prophetic Word of God is absolute. Bible prophecy is and will be fulfilled.

The Jewish population of Israel continues to increase, however the Arab population is increasing faster than the Jewish

Listen to Today's Program Play

At the beginning of each Jewish New Year, the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics releases data on the population numbers on all the sectors of the Israeli body politic and the latest numbers indicate that the total population of Israel is nearing the 8 million mark and the report indicates that the population growth among Arabs in Israel is increasing faster than the Jewish population.

Of the total population of Israel there are 5.8 million Jews, 1.6 million Arabs and around 300 thousand additional residents detailed as others, which includes Christians. The population in the disputed territories, Judea and Samaria is growing twice as fast as the general population of the Jewish state which has become a very controversial statistic for those working to bring about peace in Israel.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The report detailing the population figures for the state of Israel is tangible evidence that Bible prophecy is being fulfilled even today.

On the eve of the Jewish New Year, the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics releases the latest numbers for the population of the state of Israel. This year is no exception, and the report reveals that the total population of Israel is nearing the 8 million mark. This report indicated that the Arab population of Israel is growing faster than the Jewish population which has some Israeli officials concerned. In 1948,  when the modern day state of Israel came into existence, there were only about 500 thousand Jews in the land, now there are more than ten times that number and growing each year. This is tangible evidence that the prophecies in the Bible are at least in a process of being fulfilled.

The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel wrote that the Lord would find all the Jews scattered for some 2000 years across the world and bring them back to the land of their forefathers, Ezekiel 37:7-11. In fact, the  prophet Ezekiel wrote that the Lord would not only bring them into the land He had promised them, but He would make the land better and it was for their forefathers, Ezekiel 36:11.

The ever increasing Jewish population of the state of Israel is indeed tangible evidence that Bible prophecy is and will be fulfilled.
