Thousands of Jews gathered at the Western Wall in Jerusalem for the priestly blessing on Easter Sunday

As Christians from around the world traveled to Jerusalem to celebrate Easter, the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Jewish worshipers from many nations of the world as well gathered in Jerusalem for the Passover feast to remember the exodus from Egypt some 3500 years ago. On Easter Sunday, the Jewish worshipers flooded the Western Wall plaza for the annual prayer service of the priestly blessing as Jewish men who claim to be of the priestly tribe of Levi pronounced the traditional blessing on the thousands of Jews gathered for this event.

The priestly blessing dates back to Biblical times when each year on Passover, the priest who operated the Tabernacle worship services would bless all the Jews who made their way to the tabernacle and later to the temple in Jerusalem on this pilgrim feast day.

Jewish worshipers gathered at the Western Wall in Jerusalem to receive the priestly blessing during Passover has a great historic significance as well as a powerful prophetic significance.

On a yearly basis, Jewish worshipers from around the world flood to the Western Wall plaza to receive the priestly blessing from men who claim to be members of the Kohanim, the priestly family from the Jewish tribe of Levi. This annual event dates back to Biblical times when the priest would set aside one of the days in the eight day feast of Passover to bless the Jewish people.

Today, this event speaks of the fact that there are Jewish men in Jerusalem that believe they are qualified to be modern-day priests and they are preparing to serve in the temple when it is erected on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. The Bible does say that there will be a temple in Jerusalem before Jesus Christ comes back to the Earth (Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4, and Revelation 11:1).

Not only are these men studying the priestly duties to operate the temple, all implements have been made and are now in storage to be used at the temple. Everything, actually, is ready for the next temple to be built in Jerusalem. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
