A former Israeli spy says Israel has 1 year to stop an Iranian nuclear bomb

Shabtai Shavit, a former head of the Israeli spy agency Mossad, has warned Israeli officials that the Jewish state has only twelve months in which to destroy Iran's program nuclear program or risk coming under nuclear attack.

This report comes at the same time that Israeli Intelligence is saying Iran has stepped up its efforts to deter any attack on their nuclear program by moving ballistic missiles into launch position and targeting various sites in Israel including the Dimona nuclear plant. Shavit said time is running out to prevent Iran's leaders from getting a nuclear WMD as well as the US presidential election which may factor into any decision to bomb Iran.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The urgency for Israel to deal with the threat of a nuclear Iran is a precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

The ongoing conflict between the nations of the West and Iran over its nuclear program is becoming more intense everyday. Tough financial sanctions implemented by the UN, the US and the EU don't seem to be working. Shavit's warning is indeed true politically and militarily but not Biblically or prophetically.

The prophet Ezekiel does mention Iran as one of the players in the Last Days who want to destroy the Jewish state, Ezekiel 38:5 where Iran is referred to as Persia. Beginning in Ezekiel 38:18, the Jewish prophet explains and foretells that out of the heavens will the Lord God respond to this attack by Iran and the other coalition nations. When Israel comes under attack from Iran and these attacking enemies, they will be destroyed and five out of every six will dies, Ezekiel 38:18-23, 39:1-6.

The warning of one year for the time period in which Israel must deal with an Iranian nuclear WMD is evidence that Bible prophecy is near to fulfillment.
