The Trilateral Summit in Jerusalem ends with no signs of real progress

A trilateral summit held in Jerusalem between Israel, the Palestinian Authority(PA), and the US ended with no real signs of progress as evidenced with the ninety-second news conference that followed when Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice said that the Israelis and the Palestinians exchanged views on the political future and agreed to hold another summit.

The US had hoped to restart the peace efforts, but the summit had been beset with low expectations due to the US and Israeli dissatisfaction with the Palestinian power sharing deal that was made in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, a deal that would result in the formation of a Palestinian Unity government. The international community has demanded that any Palestinian government recognize Israel except previous peace agreements and renounce violence which is exactly what Hamas, the senior partner in the Palestinian government, has refused to do.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The setback at the trilateral summit between Israel, the Palestinians, and the US held in Jerusalem is a precursor to the fulfillment of the prophetic scenario for these parties as found in Bible prophecy.

The US as the peace program between the state of Israel and the PA, has not been able to move the peace process closer to a result that would satisfy each party. Hamas, the Islamic political party in the Palestinian society, has gained a stronghold that will not budge from its goal to remove the state of Israel from the Middle East and build its own Islamic republic state under the Islamic sharia law. This scenario is exactly what the ancient Jewish prophet Malachi wrote some 2,500 years ago would be the case at the end of time just before the Messiah, Jesus Christ, would return to Earth.

Malachi prewrote history when he said that the Edomites, the Palestinian people of today, would return to rebuild, that's Malachi 1:4. The Lord, in that same passage, said that the Edomites would rebuild and He would call their borders, the borders of wickedness, and He would have indignation against them.

The plan by Hamas to remove Israel and rebuild its own state is indeed a precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.
