From the G8 Summit in St. Petersburg, Russia, the British Prime Minister (PM) Tony Blair says deployment of an international force along Israel's Northern border is the only way to get succession of hostilities, and the European Union (EU) says it is weighing the deployment of a peace keeping force to Lebanon to help end fighting between Israel and Hizbullah.
PM Blair and UN Secretary General Kofi Annan in a joint news conference said these international forces must be deployed to the region and the UN secretary general said that Israel must abide by international law and spare civilian lives and infrastructure.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
The call by both the EU and the UN for an international peace keeping force to deploy to the Middle East to bring about a solution to the Israeli-Hizbullah crisis is a precursor to the scenario found in Bible prophecy for the Last Days. As the crisis in the Middle East, a war between Israel and Hizbullah, continues to intensify, world leaders are now calling for an international force to intercede to bring about peace to the conflict.
This report brings to mind three elements in current events: a conflict in Israel, peace needed to stop the violence, and the element of an international force to be used to bring about the peace, especially a force from the EU. What I have just described is the scenario for the Last Days that can be found in Bible prophecy, actually found in the book of Daniel chapters 7 and 9.
The ancient Jewish prophet wrote 2,500 years ago that the old Roman Empire would be revived, that's Daniel 7:7-8 and 23-25. The ten horns of the revived Roman Empire and the little horn, the Antichrist, a world leader who will, with the revived Roman Empire, bring peace to the Middle East between Israel and her enemies, that's Daniel 9:27.
All the elements are in place for the fulfillment of Bible prophecy and the stage is set for this to happen. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
