Christians are under attack in the Middle East and are being killed because of their faith

Listen to Today's Program Play

A number of Christian communities and churches in the Middle East have been the target of attacks by radical Islamist terrorists with many of the attacks deadly and scores of Middle Eastern Christians have been killed for no other reason than that they are Christians. These attacks are widespread throughout the Middle East, however the Christian communities in Iraq and Egypt are the main focus of these horrific attacks with both nations reporting that these attacks have taken place against churches during weekly services with many Christian worshipers being killed.

Radical Islamist websites have been circulating lists of churches with instructions on how to attack them with one al Qaeda video calling for the jihadist to blow the church up at a time when they are packed with worshipers.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A campaign to attack the Christian communities and churches in the Middle East by radical Islamists is a page out of Bible prophecy for the end of times.

The Christian communities and churches in both Iraq and Egypt have come under attack by radical Islamists who are calling for the destruction of the cross in their internet communications to followers  of the Muslim faith. The call in videos produced by al Qaeda to blow up churches while they are celebrating special holy days or anytime when the churches are packed with worshipers is evidence of the intense campaign going on by the radical Islamists to destroy the Christian community in the Middle East.

One radical Islamist website has been calling for attacks against the churches in Europe as well with instructions on how to attack the churches. This report is only the tip of the iceberg as it relates to attacks on Christians in the Middle East and around the world.

A study of Bible prophecy reveals that people of faith, those who believe in Jesus Christ, will be under attack with great force during the seven year Tribulation period to come. Revelation 6:9-10 talks about those who will be slain because of their testimony and their love for the Word of God, the Bible. Verse 10 of Revelation 6 says that those who are being killed for their faith will ask God to intervene for their safety because it will be so bad.

The ever increasing attacks on Middle Eastern Christians by radical Islamists is indeed a page out of Bible prophecy that will be fulfilled.

Hamas, in the Gaza Strip, is training women to be suicide bombers

Listen to Today's Program Play

Feminism is alive in the Gaza Strip as the Islamic terror organization Hamas is training women to be suicide bombers and to shoot machine guns to kill Israelis according to a CNN television crew who traveled blindfolded to a secret location to film the women. Female terrorists are not a new phenomenon in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza, but it is rare that a foreign news agency has been allowed to interview them and watch them while they were being trained.

The female terrorists were interviewed while sitting at a table loaded with rifles, rocket-propelled grenades, and explosives and they said they see nothing unusual in fighting alongside men because women also serve in the Zionist army who they want to destroy.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Women who are eager to be trained as suicide bombers by the Islamic terror group Hamas so that they can kill Jews is evidence of the hatred of Jews that will lead to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

A CNN camera crew, taken blindfolded to a secret training camp operated by the Islamic terror organization Hamas was able to document the training of women as suicide bombers with the mission of killing Jews, this evidence of dedication to a cause that will take the life of the young women is also evidence of the hatred that the Islamist terrorists have for the Jewish people. These young women believe that their god Allah has directed them to wipe the Jewish people off the earth one attack at a time.

For most people in our world today this dedication is hard to understand. As a student of Bible prophecy, I have found in the Bible and a study of secular history that for 4000 years the Jewish people have been the target of evil forces who want to eliminate them from the earth. In addition to the study of history, a close study of Bible prophecy says that this hatred driving one people to destroy another people will only intensify in the last days.

Zechariah, and ancient Jewish prophet, foretells of a time when 2 out of every 3 Jews will be killed (Zechariah 13:8). Revelation 12:7-17 reveals that evil angelic creatures will try and eliminate the Jews also. Ezekiel 35:5,10 is a prophecy that tells of the Palestinian people working to kill the Jews.

The Islamic terror organization Hamas training female suicide bombers in Gaza is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Middle East archaeologists are hoping to save the ruins of the biblical Tower of Babel

Listen to Today's Program Play

Following the years of devastation under the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein and the ensuing American invasion of Iraq archaeologists are beginning to work on ancient Babylonian sites and hope to save the ruins of the biblical Tower of Babylon and learn how it was built before it crumbled under the weight of confusion.

As a first step, experts are working on a plan to prevent further deterioration of the mud-bricked ruins which were damaged by Saddam's personal building projects.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The meticulous work by archaeologists to preserve the mud-bricked Tower of Babel in Iraq is evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

For several decades, the late Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein worked to restore the site of biblical Babylon which included the mud-bricked building of the Tower of Babel. Since the war torn nation of Iraq is working to restore its country to the glory days of this Middle Eastern state in many areas, they have arranged for archaeologists to work to save the ruins of the ancient biblical site.

The Bible records the destruction of the Tower of Babel when the people of the world at that time who only spoke one language were confronted by a heavenly visitor and the tower was destroyed by the confusion of one language becoming many languages, Genesis 11. This account of Babylon's beginnings found in Genesis 11 is only the start of a significant history for this city. Babylon is where the Jews were held captive for 70 years, II Chronicles 36. Babylon was the city where Alexander the Great became the leader of the known world. Babylon is also the city where the Apostle Peter traveled to start a church to reach that part of the world, I Peter 5:13. Babylon will also be the headquarters for a world economic center and its leader, the Antichrist, Revelation 18. Babylon is the city that will be destroyed in one hour, Revelation 18:10, 17, 19.
This will be a total destruction and forever, Isaiah 13,14, Jeremiah 50, 51, and Revelation 16:17-21.

Archaeologists working to preserve the city of Babylon is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The Temple Institute is working to produce a Red Heifer so that they can rebuild the Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem

Listen to Today's Program Play

The Temple Institute has announced that they are working to produce a Red Heifer, they actually have a ranch in the Negev Desert, south of Jerusalem, where the work is going on. Winkie Medad has more on what's happening.

WINKIE MEDAD: "Well here in Israel and from abroad, I remember a case in Texas and some other places, where those who are committed to attempting to recreate elements of the Temple worship in preparation for the time that we can get going on the Temple and the sacrificial works and other elements of the high priest and others; it's a very complicated issue as you know well Jimmy and I just want to make sure our readers know it is a very, very difficult ritualist type of approach, but one of the main elements is the red heifer because without that technically we are impure in a spiritual sense. People have tried to help us in the past.

The newness of this information this past week or so is  that  they are using genetically engineered elements that modern science is providing us in order to perhaps perfect the, or shall I say, increase the probability that we can obtain the red heifer that is unblemished as the Bible tells us."

Winkie Medad a broadcast partner for us here on Prophecy Today reporting on the activities of the Temple Institute in producing a red heifer. We report this information because it is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The final thing to be done for rebuilding the Temple in Jerusalem is to have a red heifer.

The Temple Institute has led the preparations for the rebuilding of a Temple in the city of Jerusalem. They have trained 28,000 men to do the priestly duties. They have all the Temple furniture to go into the Temple. They have all the Temple implements for the sacrificial system. And they have over 4,000 harps; however, there is something that they still need and that is a red heifer for the purification of all those who will serve in the Temple and the implements and furniture that will be used  in the Temple. The Temple Institute is now working at producing a red heifer.

The Bible tells us that all of these things will come together for a Temple very soon now, in Jerusalem. That's Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, 2 Thessalonians 2:4  and Revelation 11:1-2. Theses are the scriptures that guarantee that there will be a Temple in Jerusalem.  Producing a red heifer is the final step in this process. Bible Prophecy will be fulfilled. That is my prophetic prospective on the news today.

The most popular religion in the US is Judaism

Listen to Today's Program Play

According to Harvard Professor Robert Putnam as revealed in his recently released book "American Grace: How Religion Divides and Unites the United States" the most popular religion in the US is not Catholicism or Mormonism, it is Judaism.

Putnam, in a previous book he published, indicated that America was losing its social capital, but that Americans were a deeply religious people, more so on average than in Iran for example. Putnam said he thinks what brought about the surprising popularity of these historically persecuted people was that the American public may have learned the lessons of the injustice wrought upon the chosen people in the past.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Though a recent survey says that in America the most popular religion is Judaism, the end times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy contradicts those findings.

Harvard professor and author Robert Putnam has released his findings of a survey taken from among 3000 people, a cross section of America, that reveals Judaism is the most popular religion among Americans. These findings are very interesting; however, they are somewhat difficult to believe when one reads the reports of growing Antisemitism in America and around the world. Some have said that this survey may indicate that there are those who embrace Judaism because of guilt from the way that the world has traditionally persecuted the Jewish people. Whatever the reason for Judaism's popularity in America, the future does not bode well for the Jews.

In a seven year period of time known as the Tribulation Period, the Jewish people will not be very popular and in fact will be the focus of not only persecution but an effort for the complete annihilation of the Jewish people on earth, that scenario is revealed in Revelation 14-19. In these 16 chapters, it is evident that the sources of evil, both man and angels will try to eliminate the Jews from the world, Revelation 12:13-17. Zechariah, another ancient Jewish prophet, says that two-thirds of the Jews will be killed during this same period of time, Zechariah 13:8.

Judaism may be popular today, but in the future, the Jews will be the target for destruction.

Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem, has identified two-thirds of the Jews that were murdered in the Holocaust

Listen to Today's Program Play

The Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem, Yad Vashem, has over the last decade found additional identities for Jews killed during the Holocaust in Word War II and now has identified two-thirds of the Jews murdered in the Holocaust in their relentless efforts to restore the names of as many of the six million Jews that were murdered by the Nazis under the command of Adolph Hitler.

Yad Vashem stands as a testimony to the reality and the historicity of the Holocaust and six million Jews that were murdered, which is in the face of Holocaust deniers like the President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas and the Iranian President, President Ahmadinejad.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Holocaust museum in Jerusalem, Yad Vashem, is solid evidence of an historic event and it is also a reminder of a future Holocaust yet to come for the Jewish people.

When Adolph Hitler came to power in Germany in the 1930's, he moved quickly to try to eliminate all the Jewish people, not only in Germany, but throughout all of Europe. For decades, the Holocaust museum in Jerusalem has relentlessly worked to restore the names and identities of all six million Jewish people murdered by the Nazi's.

Though Holocaust denyers like the President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas, and the Iranian Prime Minister Ahmadinejad, have spewed out venomous, poisonous rhetoric saying that the Holocaust is a hoax, Yad Vashem has documented the reality of the Holocaust. This documentation has certified the past, as it pertains to killing Jews, and it also is a reminder that the worst Holocaust is yet to come.

Revelation 4:2 through 19:10, is sixteen chapters in the Bible that describes the seven year Tribulation Period referred to by the Jews as the time of Jacob's trouble. That's Jeremiah 30:7. It is also prophesied by the ancient Jewish prophet Zechariah that two out of every three Jewish people on the earth today will be killed in the future Tribulation. That number would be about 8 1/2 million Jewish people killed. That reference is Zechariah 13:8.

The word Israel is used 26 times in the Revelation passage mentioned before which is evidence that Israel will be under fire during that period of time and they will flee for their lives to no avail.

Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Jerusalem is declared the eternal capital of Israel by the prime minister and confirmed by the Israel Knesset

Listen to Today's Program Play

The headline for this report is correct - howbeit, it is a headline from Israel dating back over 60 years to the time when on December 13, 1949, David Ben-Gurion, Israel's first prime minister, declared to the members of the Israeli government meeting in Tel Aviv, that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the Jewish state of Israel and the Israeli legislative body, the Knesset, approved the declaration. The Israeli government action followed the United Nations declaration that Jerusalem must be internationalized to which David Ben-Gurion responded that Jerusalem is an intrical part of Israel, its eternal capital, and no United Nations resolution can change such an historic fact.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Though the world doesn't recognize the historic prophetic fact that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the Jewish state of Israel as so declared by Israel's first prime minister, David Ben-Gurion, the Bible confirms this fact and says it is absolute.

In December of 1949 the then prime minister of Israel, David Ben-Gurion, made the unilateral declaration that Jerusalem was the eternal capital of the Jewish state of Israel and that no United Nations resolution could change that fact. Ben-Gurion added that Jerusalem was made the capital of the Jewish people some 3000 years ago, a declaration made by the second king of Israel, King David. The counter-declaration by Ben-Gurion that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Israel, was a political declaration that is in perfect harmony with many passages in the Bible.

In the Davidic Covenant found in II Samuel 7, the Lord promised the Jewish people that He will give them a place to dwell and that they will move no more (II Samuel 7:10). The Davidic Covenant also confirms that the Jewish Messiah will rule a kingdom from a temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and do that forever. In fact, God has committed to dwelling among the Jewish people in Jerusalem forever (Psalm 132:13-14). Even on the new earth called for in Isaiah 65 and 66 and in Revelation 21, the earthly city of Jerusalem will be the center of all spiritual activities (Micah 4:1-3, Isaiah 2).

David Ben-Gurion's declaration over 60 years ago that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the Jewish state of Israel is absolute. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

There are reports that the Dead Sea could dry up in the next several years - but there may be a solution

Listen to Today's Program Play

For a number of years, the Dead Sea, located in the Jordan Valley with the Eastern shore in Jordan and the Western shore in Israel, the Dead Sea has been losing its water and now it's sinking by about three feet per year which is causing fears both in Jordan and Israel that the Dead Sea could literally dry up by the year 2050.

One of the main ideas being considered by Jordan and Israel is the Red Dead Conveyance Project, a project that would involve digging a canal and using a series of water pipeline conduits that could bring water from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea in order to bring the Dead Sea water level back to normal.

The project would take over 20 years to complete and would cost as much as 15 billion dollars at today's values, but when completed, the project would bring about a new source of electric energy for the region, create new recreational areas to draw tourists to the area, and save one of the wonders of the world, the Dead Sea, which is located at the lowest spot on the earth.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Red Dead Project could save the Dead Sea, but it also may be a project that will set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

For a number of years, Middle East politicos, governmental leaders, and engineers have been talking about the Red Dead Project and how it could be the answer to the ever increasing problem at the Dead Sea and its loss of water. In search of a solution for this problem, Israeli President Shimon Peres presented the Red Dead Project to a regional gathering of political leaders, governmental officials and bankers.

This momentous project would take years and cost billions of dollars, but would also ultimately pay for itself in the long run. There are those who say this type of project could produce great wealth like the silver and gold that could be extracted from the Dead Sea, enough money to pay the national debts of almost every nation in the world.

In the book of Ezekiel 38:13, the prophet mentions the gold and silver that will attract Israel's enemies to come to destroy the Jewish state. Later in Ezekiel 47, he mentions how water from the Temple in Jerusalem will actually flow down to the Dead Sea and make it a freshwater lake, not 10 times saltier than the ocean as it is today.

A focus on the Dead Sea is indeed a prop on the stage for the end times scenario that will be fulfilled.

The Palestinian government says that Jewish people have no right to pray at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, where they now go to pray 3 times every day

Listen to Today's Program Play

There is a document on the official mouthpiece for the Palestinian Authority, a website that claims the Jewish people have no right to go to the Western Wall in Jerusalem and pray, which they do three times daily, because the report says the Western Wall belongs to Moslems and the Jews have no connection with the Western Wall.

This study by the Palestinian Authority has been denounced by Israel and the United States because it says the Western Wall has always belonged to the Moslems and the Jews have been allowed to pray there because of Moslem tolerance.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The claim by the Palestinian Authority that Jewish people have no right to pray at the Western Wall in Jerusalem is a contradiction to historic fact and the prophetic scenario that focuses on the Temple Mount for the end times.

The report published by an official of the Palestinian Authority stating that Jews have no connection to the Western Wall in Jerusalem since there is no stone in the Western Wall that dates back to the time of King Solomon is partially correct and partially wrong. The correct part is that indeed there are no stones in the Western Wall dating back to King Solomon some 3000 years ago - the reason being that the Western Wall was only built some 2000 years ago by Herod the Great. The incorrect statement is that there is no historic Jewish connection to the Western Wall.

Herod used over 10,000 Jewish laborers to build that wall and it was the western retaining wall used to keep the Temple Mount in tact. King Solomon did build the first temple on the Temple Mount and Herod the Great spent 46 years refurbishing the second temple on that same spot - both of these were Jewish temples. That disproves the Palestinian Authority claim of no Jewish connection to the Western Wall.

In fact, the Bible states that one day the Messiah, Jesus Christ, will come back to earth and build a temple for the Jewish people on the Temple Mount (Zechariah 1:16,6:12). However, before Messiah builds His temple in Jerusalem, there will be a Jewish temple erected on the Temple Mount (Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4, and Revelation 11:1).

Palestinian claims are wrong. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

A Hamas leader says that Jews will soon be expelled from all of Israel

Listen to Today's Program Play

Mahmoud Zahar, a Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip, says the Jews of Israel, Palestine as he referred to the Jewish nation, will be soon expelled from the land the same way they were expelled out of France, Russia, and Germany in the past. Zahar said that the only nation that received the Jews after they were expelled from the European nations was the Islamic nation which protected them.

Zahar claimed that the Jews were expelled in the past because they betrayed, stole, and corrupted the countries and that the Palestinians with their blood can liberate their lands and holy sites in all of Palestine.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The declaration by a Hamas terrorist leader that the Jews will soon be expelled from their nation of Israel is an echo of the prophetic scenario that's found in Bible prophecy for the last days.

Mahmoud Zahar, a Hamas terrorist leader has in the past called for the Jews to be expelled from their land and nation of Israel. Now the Islamic terrorist leader says that in the near future the Jews will indeed be put out of the land that they claim as a Jewish state. Zahar has called for all Palestinian factions to unite and if need be shed their blood to liberate what they call Palestine which they say is all of Israel and then they can go to al Aksa Mosque in Jerusalem to pray.

This report is evidence that the end of times prophetic scenario found in the Bible is very close to fulfillment. The ancient Jewish prophets Ezekiel, Malachi, and Obadiah all prewrote history on this matter and foretold of the Edomites, the descendants of Esau, the Palestinians of today trying to rid the world of the Jewish people, the descendants of Jacob, twin brother of Esau. Malachi wrote that the Edomites, the Palestinians, would return to rebuild (Malachi 1). Ezekiel wrote that these people, the Palestinians, would kill the Jews and take their land (Ezekiel 35). Obadiah revealed that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict would only be resolved when the Messiah Jesus Christ returns to the earth (Obadiah 15-18). Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

On an Israeli news site the headline read, new immigrants fulfill prophecy of the ingathering of the Jewish people

Listen to Today's Program Play

The headline on the Arutz 7 news website in Israel says that new immigrants recently arriving in Israel are part of the fulfillment of Bible prophecy that foretold the in-gathering of the Jewish people to the land of their forefathers in the days before the coming of the Messiah. Among the most recent new Israeli citizens were a group from the United States, actually 21 different states, and the group included a 5 month old baby and a 95 year old grandmother, all citizens of the United States that have a Jewish background and wanted to spend the rest of their lives in the land that they say God has provided for the Jewish people.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Jews returning to the land of Israel today to become citizens of the land of their forefathers is a part of the process of the fulfillment of Bible prophecy for the last days.

Recently on a very popular Israeli news website, Arutz 7, the headline of one of the major stories was, new immigrants fulfill prophecy of the ingathering. It was a photo story showing hundreds of Jews from America that had decided to come home to the land of their forefathers, the land of Israel. Many of them carried signs telling of their love for Israel and a number of these new Israeli citizens even got off of the airplane and kissed the ground of the Jewish state. The web news site wanted to feature the story of Jews coming home to Israel because they believe it is a part of Bible prophecy being fulfilled and they are correct.

Over the last 100 years, out of 100 nations of the world, Jews have been making their way into the Jewish state of Israel even before it became a state. The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel wrote 2500 years ago that the Lord, in the last days, will bring the Jews from wherever they are in the world into the land that He had promised them. That prophecy is found in Ezekiel 34 where 18 times the Lord says that He will find the Jews where they had been scattered some 2000 years ago and bring them into the land of their forefathers. Ezekiel 37:8 foretells of the Jewish state being revived and Ezekiel 36 tells the Jews of the land that God will give them in the last days.

The arrival of Jews in Israel to immigrate, to come home, is, as the Israeli website reported, the proof that Bible prophecy is being fulfilled.

The Mufti of Jerusalem says that Israeli control of Hebron, Bethlehem, and Jerusalem could start a religious war

Listen to Today's Program Play

Jerusalem's Mufti Mohammed Hussein, the highest ranking Islamic cleric in Jerusalem, says that Israeli sovereignty over Hebron, Bethlehem, and Jerusalem, three of the most important holy sites in Judaism, could start a religious war.

Hebron is the location of the burial site of the Jewish patriarchs. Bethlehem is where Jacob buried his wife, Rachel and in Jerusalem, the Temple Mount is the holiest site for the Jewish people and the location where Jews want to build a temple in the near future.

The Mufti says Israel's claim to these Jewish holy sites is an attempt to take over the religious sites and Moslems are now in a period of war, not with tanks and rockets, but a religious war.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by the Mufti of Jerusalem that Israel's claim to their holy sites is a declaration of a religious war is a page out of Bible prophecy for the last days.

The Israeli government has established a list of heritage sites in Israel, sacred sites that are a part of Jewish history. Included in that list are three locations that the Mufti of Jerusalem says will be the cause for a religious war if Israel stands firm on their claims to these sites. The sites include Rachel's tomb in Bethlehem, Rachel being Jacob's wife who died in childbirth, Genesis 35. Genesis 23 is the record of Abraham paying cash money for the Machpelah Cave, the burial site for the patriarchs of the Jewish people: Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. Israel's King David also paid cash money to Ornon the Jebusite for his threshing floor on Mt. Moriah, the site for the two previous Jewish temples in Jerusalem, I Chronicles 21.

The threat of a religious war between the Jews and the Moslems is setting the stage for an end of times conflict between these two peoples. The ancient prophet Joel, in Joel 2:2-3, warned that the largest militia ever formed on the earth will come to Jerusalem to take control of the Jewish holy sites. There is only one group of people today who could form such a militia and also people who want to control Hebron, Bethlehem, and the holy city of Jerusalem, that would be the Moslem people.

The Jerusalem Mufti is right. There will be a religious war.

A survey reveals less than 10% of all born-again Christians look at the world with a biblical perspective

Listen to Today's Program Play

George Barna, a pollster with an independent marketing research company, found in a recent survey that only 4% of the overall population of America and 9% of born-again Christians have a biblical world view, suggesting that many of the nation's moral and spiritual challenges are directly attributable to this fact.

For the purposes of the research, a biblical world view was defined as believing that absolute moral truth exists, that such truth is defined by the Bible, and that the Bible is accurate in all of its teachings.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A biblical world view based upon understanding Bible prophecy is essential for an understanding of the times we live in today.

Let's look at the provision in scripture for a biblical world view. All scripture is God breathed. That means it's inspired and is profitable for doctrine, for correction, and instruction in righteousness, that's II Timothy 3:16. God gave the scriptures to the Jew to preserve and communicate to mankind, Romans 3:1-2. And thus, we have His written Word for us today. Our blessings and understanding comes from God's provision of His heart, His mind, His thoughts in written form, the Bible.

Now, let's look at the priority for studying a biblical world view. The Apostle Paul wrote that we must study the Word of God, a workman that need not be ashamed, relying on God's Word for all of life's questions. We must rightly divide the Word of truth, the Bible, to ascertain its true meaning. These two principles, study and rightly dividing the Word of God, are instruction for the End Times and they come from Paul's exhortation to young Timothy found in II Timothy 2:15.

Finally, let's look at the prophetic scenario of a biblical world view. A study of Bible prophecy reveals the scenario for the Last Days with a seven year period of judgment in our world followed by the return of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, to establish His Kingdom here on earth. However, preceding that seven years of judgment, those who are true born again Christians will be taken out of this world to be with Jesus Christ, that's the Rapture.

Allowing the Bible to form our world view prepares us for these future events and gives us evidence as to how close they may be.

Almost half of the population of Israel wants to see the holy temple rebuilt in Jerusalem

Listen to Today's Program Play

In a recent nationwide poll taken by the Knesset Israel's legislative body, 49% of the body politic of Israel said they want to see the holy temple rebuilt on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem where there once stood two previous Jewish temples. The last one, Herod's temple, was destroyed in 70AD by the Roman soldiers led by General Titus.

The Israeli public is about evenly split on whether they believe the temple will be rebuilt with a slight edge 42% - 39% to those who believe that the third temple will be rebuilt. Given the current political climate, the onset of construction of the temple is not likely to go over quietly in the Islamic world which currently has day to day control of the Temple Mount.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the NewsThe almost 50% of Israelis who want to see the holy Jewish temple rebuilt in Jerusalem are in perfect harmony with what the Bible reveals will happen in the last days.

In a recent national poll carried out in Israel, 49% of the Israelis said that they want to see the rebuilding of the third temple in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount. The Temple Mount has been the location of two previous temples, the one built by King Solomon some 3000 years ago and the one built by Zerubbabel 2500 years ago. The second temple, known as Herod's Temple, because it took Herod 46 years to refurbish Zerubbabel's temple, was referred to by the rabbis as the temple that if you had never seen it, you had never seen a beautiful building.

Since 70AD, when Herod's Temple was destroyed, there have been countless efforts to rebuild it on the Temple Mount. The ancient Jewish prophet Daniel said that there will be a third temple in Jerusalem during the seven year Tribulation period (Daniel 9:27). Jesus confirmed Daniel's prophecy in his Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24:15) when He said, when you see the abomination of desolation in the temple, flee Jerusalem. That abomination will be the Antichrist entering the temple and claiming to be God (II Thessalonians 2:4). Revelation 11:1 guarantees that there will be a temple in Jerusalem. John the Revelator was told to measure the location for the next Jewish temple.

50% of Israelis are right - there will be a temple in Jerusalem and maybe very soon now. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Jews in Jerusalem and around the world spend all night studying the Bible

Listen to Today's Program Play

Jewish men and women in Jerusalem and around the world spent all night studying the Torah, the first five books of the Bible, in honor of the day that traditionally the Lord gave the Torah, the Law, to Moses at Mt. Sinai in the wilderness of Egypt.

The practice of Jewish people learning all night long is a custom rather than a commandment and they say it is the express of one's desire to draw closer to God as they celebrate the Jewish feast day of Shavuot, the Feast of Pentecost.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Feast of Pentecost, Shavuot in Hebrew, is one of the seven Jewish feast days, each of which have a prophetic significance as it relates to the end times that is according to Bible prophecy.

As Jewish people around the world study the first five books of the Bible all night long, they honor the giving of the Law, the Torah, to Moses at Mt. Sinai 3500 years ago. Thousands of Jews from around the world also made their way to Jerusalem and the Western Wall there at the Temple Mount where they prayed and studied the Torah following a Biblical command to go to Jerusalem on the Feast of Pentecost.

This report is drawing attention to the Jewish people observing one of the seven Jewish feast days that God gave them in the Torah. Each of these Jewish feast days has not only a historic significance but also a prophetic significance. Jesus Christ fulfilled the first three Jewish feast days. He was crucified on Passover, buried on Unleavened Bread and resurrected on First Fruits 2000 years ago.

However, in the future, Jesus Christ will also fulfill the last three Jewish feast days. On Feast of Trumpets or Rosh Hashanah, Jesus Christ will come back to the earth, Matthew 24:31. He will enter the Temple and go into the Holy of Holies on the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur, Hebrews 9:25-26 and then Jesus Christ begins His Kingdom on the Feast of Tabernacles according to Matthew 17:1-6.

The Jewish feast day of Pentecost is indeed a reminder that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Google, the great information highway, is saying you can trust them with all of your personal information

Listen to Today's Program Play

The internet information highway platform known as Google which sometimes seems like a technological octopus with its tentacles reaching out in every direction, is simply the concept that is trying to organize the world's information on any device and in any way they can figure out how to do it.

The strategy of the leaders of Google is based upon the talk for years of our society being mobile which is right now finally taking off and Google wants to see if their strategy of compiling the information of the world and making it available to the world will actually work.

Google recognizes the privacy issues involved in such an operation but they believe the users of these services will determine whether Google is infringing on this privacy. Google says, "Trust us with your data".

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The plea for the world to trust Google, the platform that will control all the information of the world, is a precursor to an end of days scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

The leadership of Google wants society to trust them with all of their private data. Google believes that if they violate that trust, people will move immediately to someone else. Thus, Google says they have a very high interest in maintaining the trust of those users of their information gathering operation.

You may question, "How does this scenario fit into Bible prophecy that will be played out in the last days". Well that's a great question and I believe the answer is found in the plan of the Antichrist to control the world from a one world, economic, governmental, and political power base that will be located in the literal city of Babylon, Revelation 18. Revelation 13:16-17 reveals that in the last days, everybody left on the earth after the Rapture, when Jesus Christ calls Christians into the heavenlies, that during this time to follow, during the Tribulation Period, all who want to buy or sell will have to have an identification mark on the forehead or the back of the hand.

As world leaders meet to bring an end to the global economic crisis of today, they are calling for just such a global economic structure.

Trust me! The world is ready for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The US has questioned its unwavering support of Israel in recent days

Listen to Today's Program Play

With the different meetings being held at the White House between US President Obama and the Israeli PM Netanyahu there has emerged the question of the unwavering support for the Jewish state of Israel that has been the mainstay down through the years of America's intimate alliance with Israel as being good for both the US and Israel.

The condemnation of the Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria, the insistence by Israel that they have a right to defend their borders including the area of the Gaza Strip, and the controversy surrounding the city of Jerusalem have been the sticking points that have caused these questions by US leaders as to whether their support is as strong as it has been for the Jewish state.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The US starting to waver on its support for the Jewish state of Israel is done at its own peril and does set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

For over 200 years, the US has been one of the major supporters and protectors of the Jewish people and since 1948 America has been the mainstay of support for the Jewish state. Over the last several years and moving towards a low mark in US support for Israel, which has been good for both countries, we are seeing this relationship drift apart more and more almost on a daily basis.

America's disapproval of Jewish settlements has been a focus of US critics as well as the right for Jews to buy, build, and live in any section of the city of Jerusalem. I mentioned earlier that America breaks these ties with Israel at its own peril. God told Abraham, Genesis 12:3, I will bless those who bless thee and I will curse those who curse thee. I do not mean that Israel is right all of the time, but when Israel does what God's Word says and God rewards the Jewish people, all peoples must support them

The ancient Jewish prophets wrote of God returning the Jews to their land, Ezekiel 34:35. He promised to give them a state, Ezekiel 37. These prophecies are in the process of being fulfilled.

If America or any other nation of the world decides to drop their support for the Jewish state, they do it at their own peril.

A Dutch political leader says that Jordan should change its name to Palestine

Listen to Today's Program Play

Geert Wilders is the political leader of the Party for Freedom in Holland and he believes that Jordan should be renamed Palestine, because this would end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the Middle East and provide the Palestinian people their own homeland.

Wilders believes that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is not a conflict over territory but rather an ideological battle between the mentality of the liberated West and the ideology of Islamic barbarism.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by a Dutch political leader that Jordan should change its name to Palestine is actually very close to what the Bible says about this piece of real estate.

There has been a number of Israeli political leaders who have suggested that there is a Palestinian state and it is the state of Jordan. The facts are that over 2/3 of Jordan's population is Palestinian and if Jordan was a true democracy and not a monarchy, the Palestinians would indeed have a state in our world. This report thus far has been based upon political reality, but the past and the prophetic of this issue does say that Jordan should be Palestine

In Genesis 36, God sent Esau to Mount Seir which was at that time, the lower third of what we know as modern day Jordan. In Biblical times, God changed the name of this area from Mount Seir to Edom and God did this after He changed the name of Esau to Edom. As you trace through the Bible the history of Esau who was Jacob's twin brother, up and until today you will see that Esau's descendants are indeed the Palestinian people.

God told Rebbecca, the mother of Jacob and Esau before they were born as they struggled in her womb, that the two brothers would become two nations, Genesis 25:23. Jacob, of course, became the nation of Israel and Esau, the Palestinian people of today. God gave Esau and his descendants, the Palestinian people, at least a portion of modern day Jordan, Genesis 36:8.

The Dutch politician is pretty much on target. Jordan should be called Palestine, the homeland for the Palestinian people who are key players in the end times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

Israeli's view President Obama as pro-Arab and one rabbi says that the United States President is not the Almighty

Listen to Today's Program Play

In a recent public opinion poll taken in Israel, a lop sided plurality of 42% of Israelis viewed President Obama as pro-Arab and only 7% see him as pro-Israel.

Meanwhile, a rabbi who served in the Israeli Knesset, Rabbi Chaim Druckman, says that US President Barack Obama thinks he holds the wheel in his hand and leads the world, but according to the rabbi, the people of Israel deal with the Almighty who leads this world.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Israeli rabbi who says the Almighty, not Barack Obama, leads this world and controls Israel is right on target that is according to Bible prophecy.

For more than a year, US President Obama has been dictating to the Israeli government what must be done in order for the peace process to work and to bring an end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. President Obama first addressed the Islamic world from Cairo, Egypt and said that the Israeli Jewish settlements are illegal and must be removed. The recent flap over Jewish building in Jerusalem is the absolute evidence that President Obama wants to control the Israeli government and its prime minister. This motivated one very prestigious Israeli rabbi, Chaim Druckman, to say the obvious, that Barack Obama is not the Almighty and that the Jewish state does not take direction from President Obama but the Jews take their orders from the Almighty.

God's Word, the Bible, does agree with the rabbi that the Almighty is still in charge. God brought the Jews into existence and they are His chosen people, Deuteronomy 7:6-8. God has chosen to dwell among His people, the Jewish people, in Jerusalem and that He will do forever, Psalm 132:13-14.

Today, all of Judaism does not look to the God of the Bible as their leader, however, there is a large segment of Jewish people who believe in the new covenant of Jeremiah 31 which says that the Lord will be their God and the Jewish people, His people, the Almighty's people, and that will happen in the future, Jeremiah 31:31-34.

Jerusalem Day in Israel is a time for the Jews to celebrate the reunification of this holy city

Listen to Today's Program Play

Each year, the Israelis set aside a day to celebrate the reunification of the city of Jerusalem which actually took place during the Six Day War in 1967 when the Jewish state was under attack from all directions.

Many claim it was the hand of God that gave Israel the victory in a short-lived war, the Six Day War, and allow the IDF to recapture the Temple Mount and reunite the city of Jerusalem after almost 2000 years.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Israeli celebration of the reunification of the city of Jerusalem each year on Jerusalem Day is tangible evidence that Bible prophecy has been fulfilled and will be fulfilled in the future.

Israeli officials and many world leaders say it was miraculous how the Jewish people were able to reunite their capital city of Jerusalem during the Six Day War in 1967. The IDF led by General Uzi Narkiss entered the old city of Jerusalem via the Lion Gate and went onto the Temple Mount for the first time in 2000 years. It was at that moment, the Jews realized they had reunified their holy city and tears of joy were shed even by rough, tough Israeli paratroopers.

God promised the Jewish people He would give them Jerusalem, the place where He will dwell among His chosen people, the Jewish people forever, Psalm 132:13-14. That is a prophecy that has been partially fulfilled, the Jews have Jerusalem but the Messiah is yet to come to dwell among His people. Before Jesus Christ returns to the earth, the city of Jerusalem will be a center of controversy, Zechariah 12:2 and a burden to those who want this holy city for their own, Zechariah 12:3.

At the end of the seven years of judgment called the Tribulation Period, Jesus will build His Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, Zechariah 1:16 and 6:12 and He will rule and reign from this holy city for 1000 years, Zechariah 6:13 and II Samuel 7. Jerusalem will be the headquarters for the Lord's Kingdom here on the earth forever, II Samuel 7:10-16.

The celebration of Jerusalem Day every year is indeed tangible evidence that Bible prophecy has been fulfilled and will be fulfilled.

The search engine Yahoo and the Apple iPhone have divided the holy city of Jerusalem

Listen to Today's Program Play

Internet giant Yahoo and the Apple computer firm have decided not to wait for the Israelis and the Palestinians to decide on the final status talks and the determination of the borders of a Palestinian state and the status on the holy city of Jerusalem. In practice, these two giant firms have made the decision to divide Jerusalem into East and West.

On Yahoo weather page the iPhone user is offered two Middle East options when requesting weather information for Jerusalem, East Jerusalem and West Jerusalem, preempting the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations and the dividing of the holy city of Jerusalem.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The action by Yahoo and the Apple computer firm to divide the holy city of Jerusalem is another evidence that this world is entering into the end of times as foretold in Bible prophecy.

As world leaders endeavor to bring resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the issue of the final status of Jerusalem is at the top of every agenda in the peace process. The Palestinians say that they must have at least a portion of Jerusalem as the capital of their state called Palestine. The Israelis contend that Jerusalem is the undivided, eternal capital of the Jewish people and the holy city will not be divided again.

By the way, I must remind you that there is not a city called East Jerusalem or West Jerusalem, there is only Jerusalem. Once again the issue of Jerusalem and the controversy surrounding the holy city is front and center. King David named Jerusalem as the political capital of the Jewish people 3000 years ago, II Samuel 5. God has selected Jerusalem to dwell among the Jewish people forever, Psalm 132:13-14. Jesus Christ told the Jewish prophet Zechariah that He would return to Jerusalem to build His Temple where He would rule and reign in His Kingdom to come, Zechariah 1:16, 6:12-13.

God's plan for Jerusalem will override the division of the holy city by Yahoo and iPhone. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Jordan's King Abdullah says that the Middle East is about to explode

Listen to Today's Program Play

Jordan's King Abdullah is warning the world that the situation in the Middle East could explode due to Israel's building of settlements in the eastern section of the city of Jerusalem. The king said that Israel is playing with fire by carrying out unilateral actions in eastern Jerusalem which the Jewish state captured from Jordan in the 1967 war.

King Abdullah also said that Israel must choose between living in an isolated fortress in the region or reaching peace with all of the Arab Islamic states in accordance with the Arab peace initiative.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Jordan's King Abdullah's warning of an explosion in the Middle East, an all out war, is prophetic - in fact, that is the scenario that is called for in Bible prophecy for the last days.

The most recent warning from Jordan's King Abdullah about a major war in the Middle East is not the first time the king has made these statements. King Abdullah believes that Israel's actions pertaining to Jerusalem are the flash point that could trigger what the king refers to as an explosion in the Middle East. The Jordanian king is especially concerned about the moves that Israel makes as it relates to the Palestinians since almost 70% of his population is made up of Palestinians. The king's focus on Israel action in Jerusalem is a precursor to Bible prophecy as well as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, a lead up to the prophetic scenario for the last days being played out today.

Zechariah, the ancient Jewish prophet, wrote some 2500 years ago that Jerusalem would be the center of controversy in the last days (Zechariah 12:2). Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Malachi, and Obadiah also wrote about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Malachi said that the Palestinians would return and endeavor to build a nation that would be the scorn of the Lord (Malachi 1). Ezekiel said that the Palestinians would rise up and kill the Jewish people as they stole their land (Ezekiel 35). Obadiah says that when the Messiah Jesus Christ returns to the earth, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will be resolved (Obadiah 14-18).

Basically, King Abdullah's warning is correct - Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
