The Russians have a full court press to insert themselves into the Middle Eastern affairs

Listen to Today's Program Play

JD: Ken, on previous conversations that you and I have had here on this broadcast we’ve talked about the conflict going on between Iran and Saudi Arabia. Now I understand the Russian’s are ready to mediate talks between the two. Is that going to assist or only intensify the conflict?

KT: It’ll probably intensify the conflict to a certain extent. Look, the Russians have a full core press to insert themselves in all parts of the Middle East in ways they were never able to do in the final decades of the Cold War. Russia has taken advantage of the 8th year absence of the United States during the Obama administration when we basically had abandoned the region. We were not playing a leading role and so, the Russians have replaced us. They had talks with Saudi Arabia, which had solely looked to the United States previously. They’ve been talking with Egypt, which also had considered the United States as its primary ally.

Iran has long been a Soviet, a Russian ally in the region. So, now they’re offering to broker diplomatic relations between Saudis and the Iranians. This follows a visit by Saudi King to Moscow where he met with Putin. So, while something could come of it I do not see Russia’s good intentions at work here I see Russian mischievousness.

JD: Ken Timmerman with the details on the Russian effort to be involved in all Middle Eastern affairs.

We report this information because it is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Several years ago Russia came into Syria to prop up the Bashar Al-Assad government. Russia was joined by the Iranians, which irritated the Israeli’s. These two players in Syria not only strengthen President Assad of Syria but now are even moving to build a Russian military base some two and a half miles from Israel’s northern border in a city in Syria called Quneitra.

The Iranian’s have joined Russia in Syria as co-partners in the efforts to prop up the Syrian government. Russia has also promised both Egypt and Saudi Arabia to assist in their nuclear programs.

The nations mentioned in this report Russia, Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt are actually taken from the pages of Bible prophecy for the end time scenario found in God’s word. Those prophetic passages are Ezekiel 38, Psalm 83, and Daniel 11. This report helps us to see how close we are to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.
