The chief of staff for the Israeli Defense Force says that the Bible is the guidebook for the military forces of Israel

Listen to Today's Program Play

The Israeli Defense Force Chief of Staff, General Gabi Ashkenazi, told the participants in the International Bible Quiz for Youth held in Jerusalem that the Israeli Defense Force sees the Bible as a guide in the deep and practical sense of the word. General Ashkenazi said that it is no accident that the Israeli Defense Force swears in soldiers with a weapon in one hand and the Bible in the other, a custom that reflects the uniqueness of the Israeli Defense Force and the deep bond of the Jewish people to the Book of Books.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A closer study of the Bible will give understanding of why the Israeli Defense Force chief of staff says that God's Word is the guidebook for Israel's military today and I would add for the future as well according to Bible prophecy.

Since the beginning of the Israeli Defense Force, with the founding of the modern-day state of Israel, every new soldier that was sworn in to defend the Jewish state was sworn in with a weapon in one hand and the Bible in the other. This practice is evidence to the world that the connection of the Jewish people with the Bible and all that it records about God's plan for the Jewish people is absolute.

As students of the Bible these military leaders in Israel, not only use God's Word for instruction in military strategy, but they want the new recruits to look to the Bible for their military career as well. There are a number of actual military activities recorded in the Bible that give input for Israel's military strategy. One in particular is the record of Gideon's plan of operation to defeat Israel's enemy (Judges 7). There are many stories of modern-day Israeli wars where only God could have given victory to the Jewish warriors which is based upon the name for the Jewish state Israel, which means "God will fight for you".

Indeed this is the case for the future as well when Israel comes under attack from the coalition of nations mentioned in Ezekiel 38 and records that the Lord will fight for the Jewish state by raining hailstone, fire, and brimstone from heaven upon Israel's attacking enemies and destroy them (Ezekiel 38:18 - Ezekiel 39:6).

The prophecies of Israel's military guidebook, the Bible, will indeed be fulfilled.

A senior research fellow at the Hudson Institute says that Jewish ties to the Temple Mount will bring peace to the Middle East

Listen to Today's Program Play

Dr. Max Singer a senior research fellow at the Begin Sadat Center for Strategic Studies says the only chance for real peace in the Middle East is if the western nations convince the Arabs that Jewish ties to the Temple Mount will bring about peace in the region.

Singer believes that the continual denial by the PA leadership of the Jewish people's ancient connection to the land of Israel and the sacred significance to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount where once stood two Jewish temples will hinder any peace efforts to the two peoples to coexist in the Middle East and thus only enhance the continuing conflict.

In spite of the fact that the PA Mufti Sheikh Sabri, the high ranking Islamic cleric, claims there has never been a Jewish presence on the Temple Mount, Jewish scholars cite many historic and Biblical sources to confirm that Jews have a 3000 year old connection to the Temple Mount and Jerusalem.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by the senior Jewish research fellow that Jewish ties to the Temple Mount will bring peace to the Middle East is right on target according to Bible prophecy.

Dr. Max Singer, the founder and senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, believes that if Jewish ties are restored to the Temple Mount and Jerusalem, there will be peace in the Middle East. Bible prophecy reveals that Dr. Singer is correct in the final outcome in the end of time scenario written by ancient Jewish prophets 2500 years ago. The prophet Samuel wrote in II Samuel 7 that one of King David's descendants would rule the world from a Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, that descendant will be Jesus Christ, the Jewish Messiah. Isaiah wrote that when the Temple, the house of the Lord, will be established in Jerusalem, nations would turn their military weapons into farming equipment and they would learn of war no more, thus peace in the world, Isaiah 2:1-4.

As the quest for peace in the Middle East continues, all must agree with the Bible, Jewish ties to the Temple Mount will indeed bring about peace.

Pro-Israel Christians are under attack

Listen to Today's Program Play

There is a new film being introduced to the Christian community that states, "God does not take sides with certain people groups, nations, or agendas" and the film is rebutting pro-Israel Christians and trying to persuade them to champion the Palestinian cause.

The film demonstrates a theology that does not favor one people group over another, but instead promotes peace for both Jews and Palestinians.

Critics of the film say that the film maker misuses scripture and wrongly manipulates the facts in the film and never answers many questions including, "How will the dwindling number of Palestinian Christians fair under a victorious new Islamic dominated Palestinian state?"

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

In spite of the fact that a newly released film says that God did not choose the Jews over other people groups and that He does not have an agenda for the Jews, a true study of God's Word says the opposite, according to Bible prophecy.

The new film, "With God on Our Side" produced by film maker Porter Speakman, is an effort to say Christians must not look at the Jews as God's chosen people and that the Lord does not have an agenda for the Jews in the future. The film accuses pro-Israel Christians as having no concern for the poor, that they stand for wars, that they want to be rich and more powerful, and that they have a self-promoting end of times agenda. These are pretty tough claims that have no real basis for being made in this attack on Christians who are pro-Bible and the agenda that God does have for the end times.

Moses wrote under inspiration in Deuteronomy 7:6-8 that God did choose the Jewish people to be a special people unto Himself and He did this because He loved them, not for any other reason. Down through history, God has preserved the Jewish people and used them as an illustration to the rest of humankind. The Lord does have an agenda for the Jews that He revealed in four covenants to them: the Abrahamic Covenant, Genesis 12, the Land Covenant, Deuteronomy 30, the Davidic Covenant, II Samuel 7, and the New Covenant, Jeremiah 31:31.

These promises from God reveal the Jews will be a nation with a piece of land and a Messiah ruling from a Temple in Jerusalem forever.

Sharia Law, the law of the land in Islamic nations, is making great strides in the Middle East, into the West, and in fact, around the world

Listen to Today's Program Play

Pakistan gave in to the pressures of Islamist militants and in order to buy off peace, Pakistani authorities allowed the imposition of Sharia, Islamic law, to be implemented in the Swat Valley, a war-torn tribal area of the Islamic nation of Pakistan.

The Pakistani government not only allowed a precedent that could spread throughout all Pakistan, but the truth be known, Islamic law, Sharia law, is making inroads across all of the Middle East and even creeping into the Western countries as well.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The spread of Sharia law, Islamic law, across the Middle East and in the nations in the West coupled with the ever-expanding Moslem populations around the world is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

European leaders have been very concerned with the ever-expanding Moslem populations in their nations and have been confused as how to handle this phenomenon. Now, in these highly populated Moslem areas, there has surfaced a new phenomenon, the demand for Sharia law, the Islamic law of the land, to be implemented and these Moslem communities want this done right now. Sharia law is the law of the land that would rule every nation in the world if Islamic leaders are successful in bringing about a worldwide caliphate, an Islamic kingdom on earth with everyone subject to Allah, the Islamic god.

Ancient Jewish prophets, though not using the words Islam or Sharia, actually spoke to the issue under discussion in their volumes of pre-written history. Joel in Joel 2:3-4 spoke of a mighty militia, a Moslem militia, the largest the world has ever seen, heading towards Jerusalem to destroy the Jewish state. Daniel 11:40-44, Ezekiel 38 and Psalm 83 all list nations that will join this mighty Moslem militia to destroy the Jewish state of Israel.

The spread of Sharia law as the law of the land in more and more nations in our world today is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The age of America will soon come to an end

Listen to Today's Program Play

The International Monetary Fund, the IMF, recently dropped a bombshell and most of the world is yet to notice that for the first time, this international organization has set a date when the age of America will end and the United States economy will be overtaken by that of China. According to the latest IMF official forecast, China's economy will surpass that of America in real terms, in 2016 which will bring an end to America's leadership in this world.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

America's leadership role in our world today is coming to an end and it could be sooner rather than later, according to Bible prophecy.

For the last several years America has been on a downward spiral economically and it does not seem like any of our political leaders know how to stop the economic disaster that is on the horizon for the United States. A recent report by the International Monetary Fund reveals that by 2016, China will surpass the United States economically and become the world's superpower.

In light of the prophetic scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for the end of times, the IMF report is right on target. America has been great because it has been the launchpad for world evangelization with the manpower, materials, and money needed to reach the world with the gospel message that Jesus Christ is the Savior. The United States has also played the major role in protecting the Jewish people but that key role for America is about to come to and end one way or another.

The IMF forecast is one very viable possibility but I believe the Rapture of the Church, true born again Christians, leaving this world for the heavens will render America inoperative. America has kept the Middle Eastern Islamic nations from attacking and destroying Israel as foretold in Bible prophecy in Daniel 11 and Ezekiel 38.

The rise of the European Union which I do believe is at least the infrastructure for the Revived Roman Empire and the appearance of the world dictator out of the Revived Roman Empire, the Antichrist, as foretold in Daniel 7:7-24 has been held back by a strong United States.

With America on the sidelines, end time Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Thousands of Christian pilgrims gather in Jerusalem to celebrate Easter

Listen to Today's Program Play

Under high security for the Jewish feast of Passover in Jerusalem, the Israeli government has a large security force in place for the Easter weekend as well as thousands of Christian pilgrims flood the city for this very special holy day that marks the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. With both holidays happening at the same time this year as it did some 2000 years ago, the city of Jerusalem has come virtually to a standstill as both Jewish and Christian worshipers gather into the Old City for special events.

These two holy days, Passover for the Jews and Easter for the Christians, are an intricate part of the faith and experience of both Jews and Christians.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Jewish holy day of Passover and the Christian celebration of Easter have a unique relationship and a prophetic significance.

This year, the Jewish feast of Passover and the Christian holy day of Easter happen at the same time as they did in 30 AD in the city of Jerusalem. Almost 2000 years ago, the Jews were celebrating the Passover Seder, the same night that Jesus gathered his disciples around him in an upper room in Jerusalem to also go through the traditional Jewish meal to mark the Passover. On that first Easter weekend, resurrection weekend, Jesus Christ raised from the dead after having been crucified on a cross at 3:00PM Passover afternoon.

The biblical account of this historic event shows that the one proclaimed to be the Jewish Messiah was buried on the Jewish feast of Unleavened Bread and rose from the dead on the Jewish feast day of First Fruits. These Jewish feast days Passover, Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits, have a prophetic significance in that Jesus was Passover Lamb for the Christians (I Corinthians 5:7). The Apostle Paul also wrote in I Corinthians 15:20 that Jesus was the First Fruits for those who will receive Him as their Savior.

The person Jesus Christ, the Messiah, fulfilled the first three of the Spring feast days for the Jewish people as was foretold. Jesus Christ will fulfill the last three Fall Jewish feast days as well and by doing so, become the Jewish Messiah and the Christian Savior, becoming the fulfillment of Bible prophecy for both Jews and Christians.

The Bible contradicts the tradition that Jesus Christ was crucified on Good Friday

Listen to Today's Program Play

For centuries Christian pilgrims have flocked to the holy land to celebrate the traditional day for the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, the day referred to as Good Friday, a day when thousands of Christians trace the Via Dolorosa, the Way of the Cross, to the site where Jesus Christ supposedly was nailed on a cross in the city of Jerusalem.

Now there are some Bible scholars who say that the account of the crucifixion, found in the pages of Holy Scripture, is in contradiction to what tradition has told the world for 2000 years was what happened on Good Friday. These Biblical scholars remind all who want to know the truth on this issue to allow the record of these events as recorded in the Bible to have the authority over tradition.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

In order to understand the future as foretold in Bible prophecy, a student must pay close attention to the details in God's Word as is the case with the accuracy of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and how and when it really did happen.

A student of the Bible must look at all the details surrounding any event recorded within the pages of the Holy Scriptures and allow this record to be the final authority in every case. For almost 2000 years there has been the tradition that Jesus Christ was crucified on Good Friday. First of all, I don't understand why it would be called "Good Friday" if it was really the day that Christ was crucified. However, a name is just a name for any day but the truth must be known if you want an accurate account of what happened during Passion week some 2000 years ago. The Bible is the only source of truth on matters in the life and the death of Jesus Christ.

The New Testament book of Matthew quotes Jesus Christ as saying that He would be in the grave for three days and three nights (Matthew 12:40). The Apostle John records the fact that when the three Marys, Mary Magdalene, Mary the sister of Martha, and Mary the mother of Jesus arrived at His grave site, it was before sun up on Sunday and the grave was empty. Jesus Christ has resurrected from the dead (John 20:1-18). Christ would have to be crucified on Thursday afternoon in order to fulfill His own words about His time in the grave.

The prophecy of Jesus Christ of His time in the grave, not tradition, gives us the accurate account of this event because Bible prophecy has to be fulfilled.

The Israeli Defense Force is preparing for war on all fronts

Listen to Today's Program Play

The latest multi-year plan by the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) is a plan that calls for Israel's military to be ready for confrontation with all the Arab states around them and the Palestinians within their borders, a plan that the Jewish state hopes will protect them from all new dangers.

No Israeli official nor military leader is ready to suggest what chance there is for war in the Middle East, they will only say that is why they have a major operation called military intelligence so that they can be prepared for what they know will happen one day.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The IDF has a plan for a military strategy which will protect the Jewish state on all fronts, a situation that Israel knows will come about. It's a plan that will prepare the Jewish state for what Bible prophecy says will happen.

Over the relatively short history of the Jewish state of Israel, the Jewish people have had to face their enemies in one war after the other with these attacking nations bent on destroying the Jewish state. Almost miraculously, the Jewish state has survived all attempts to eliminate Israel from being a nation in the Middle East.

This scenario unfolding today in the Middle East was foretold thousands of years ago. Daniel, the ancient Jewish prophet wrote that Syria and Egypt would come to destroy Israel, Daniel 11:40-43, where Syria is known by the term the King of the North and Egypt, the King of the South. The Psalmist in Psalm 83 says that Lebanon, referred to by the name Tyre in the passage, will be a part of the alignment of nations to go after the Jewish state.

Another Jewish prophet, Ezekiel wrote 2500 years ago that the Palestinians would rise up in the last days and kill the Jews and then take their land, Ezekiel 35. There is additional information about this Israeli-Palestinian conflict from the prophet Malachi, found in Malachi 1 and the little prophetic book in the Old Testament titled "Obadiah", you can read Obadiah 14-18 to see how this end time scenario will unfold..

It is a very good strategy for the IDF to prepare for war on all fronts. It will happen because Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Jews around the world celebrate the release from the Egyptian bondage at Passover

Listen to Today's Program Play

Thirty-five hundred years ago, a Jewish prophet named Moses led the Jewish people out of the Egyptian bondage and into freedom at a time in history when the God of the Jewish people spared the firstborn of each family who marked their doorposts with the blood of a lamb so that the Death Angel would pass over their home.

Now, for these many centuries, the Jews mark this special holy day with a Passover Seder meal and the rehearsal of the exodus story as recorded in the Bible, God's Word.

People all over the world, even presidents and other world leaders, recognize the reality of the One true God as the Jewish people mark this first of the seven Jewish feasts, the Passover.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

As Jews around the world celebrate Passover, it is a reminder of past history but also of the prophetic significance this Jewish holy day reveals to all who are students of Bible prophecy.

Thirty-five hundred years ago the Jewish people were released from 400 years of Egyptian bondage by the sacrifice of the lamb and then painting the doorposts of their homes with the lamb's blood so that the Death Angel would pass over their home. God's command to observe the Passover throughout all of their generations forever is still being followed today.

As you think of the first Passover there in Egypt, one must be reminded that the Jewish Messiah, Jesus Christ, died on Passover 2000 years ago. Interestingly, Jesus was buried on the next Jewish feast day, Unleavened Bread, He resurrected on the Jewish feast of First Fruits, and as He had promised, the Holy Spirit came upon man on Pentecost, the fourth of the Jewish feast days.

This is evidence of the prophetic significance of these Jewish feasts, but also demands that Jesus Christ fulfill the three remaining feasts as He did the first four. Jesus will come back to earth on the Feast of Trumpets, enter the Temple on the Day of Atonement, and begin His 1000 year Kingdom on the Feast of Tabernacles.

Jesus Christ, the Jewish Messiah, has been and will be the fulfillment of all Jewish feasts. The observance of the Jewish Passover is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The Palestinian Authority president says that Jerusalem will be the Palestinian capital city

Listen to Today's Program Play

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas told the American peace envoy that the Palestinian people will not accept any other city for the capital for their Palestinian state except Jerusalem and the Palestinians would insist on receiving control over the eastern section of the city of Jerusalem. The Palestinian Authority president says it is very important that it would be clear which part of the capital, Jerusalem, belongs to the Palestinians and which part belongs to Israel.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The claim by the President of the Palestinian Authority that Jerusalem will be the capital of a Palestinian state is in contradiction to Bible prophecy for the last days and the Israelis and the Palestinians.

The Palestinians since 1967 have been claiming that their state, Palestine, that this state will have Jerusalem as its capital city. Meanwhile, the Israeli leaders say that Jerusalem is the eternal, undivided capital of the Jewish people. There seems to be no middle ground for the Jews and the Palestinians and neither side is ready to compromise.

There are several thoughts that come to mind as I consider this complex situation. First of all, history reveals that there never has been a Palestinian state and thus Jerusalem has never been its capital. Secondly, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is about more than Jerusalem. The Palestinians don't want a Jewish state they want all of the land of Israel as their Palestinian state.

Bible prophecy speaks to both issues. The ancient Jewish prophets Ezekiel, Malachi, Jeremiah, and Obadiah say that in the end the Palestinians will be destroyed (Ezekiel 35, Malachi 1, Jeremiah 49, and the little book of Obadiah. Zechariah says that Jerusalem will be the center of controversy in the last days (Zechariah 12:2). But Zechariah also quotes Jesus in chapter 1:14-16 where it says Jesus will come back to Jerusalem and build His temple in the city.

The final solution for Jerusalem will be resolved by Bible prophecy - Bible prophecy that will be fulfilled.

The Israeli government says religious Jews cannot offer the required sacrifices on the Temple Mount because of security issues

Listen to Today's Program Play

Each year during the time of the Jewish feast days that require sacrificial activities on the Temple Mount, the Israeli government refuses to grant permission for any such activity to take place on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem claiming that there are security issues that hinder these required religious rituals from taking place. For example, at Passover it is a command, a Torah mandate, that at least one Passover Lamb be sacrificed on the Temple Mount for the entire nation of Israel, that the Israeli government is refusing to allow because of fear of the response by the Moslem world should these sacrifices be performed.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Israeli government's fear of the the Moslem reaction to Jewish sacrifices being offered on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem keeps religious Jews from obeying the Bible but also it is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Year after year at Passover and the other Jewish feast days that require sacrifices on the Temple Mount, the Israeli government claims that these sacrifices cannot be made due to the security issues surrounding the Temple Mount. In fact, the Moslem clerics in Jerusalem say that there was never a Jewish temple on the Temple Mount, therefore these Jews do not need access to this most sacred spot for their required sacrifices. Fear of a major conflict that could be sparked by the Jewish sacrifices being performed on the Temple Mount, has been the reason for Israel's government refusing the numerous requests from Jews to follow these Biblical mandates.

The Bible does reveal that one day there will be a renewal of the sacrificial system in Judaism and to be performed on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem (Ezekiel 45). In the future, when Jesus Christ returns to the Earth and builds his temple in Jerusalem, there will be a sacrificial system reinstituted at that spot and that period in time (Ezekiel 45). However, even before the return of Jesus Christ, sacrifices will be offered on the Temple Mount during the seven year Tribulation period. The prophet Daniel says that these sacrifices will be stopped by the Antichrist, a world dictator at that time in history (Daniel 9:27). The Israeli government's refusal to allow sacrifices on the Temple Mount today is in essence setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Iranian President Ahmadinejad says the new Middle East will not include the Jewish state of Israel

Listen to Today's Program Play

Iranian President Ahmadinejad told a crowd of thousands in Southern Iran recently that the world will see a new Middle East without the US and the Jewish state of Israel and the Iranian president said this new Middle East without Israel will emerge out of the unrest that has reached into all Arab nations in the Middle East.

The Iranian president said that Israel is nearing its end and he called on all Middle East nations to continue their fight against the very existence of the Jewish state of Israel in the Middle East.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by Iranian President Ahmadinejad that the new Middle East will not include the US or Israel is half right and half wrong, according to Bible prophecy.

The outspoken, radical President of Iran, Ahmadinejad, has spewed from his mouth ludicrous statements like, "There was never a Holocaust" and that "Israel must be wiped off the earth" and now he claims that the new Middle East will be without the US and Israel. Ahmadinejad has repeated his statement that the demise of Israel is very close at hand and could happen in the near future. Iran still remains the number one threat to the Jewish state of Israel especially as Iran continues to develop its Nuclear Weapons of Mass Destruction.

As to Ahmadinejad's statement that the new Middle East will be absent the US and Israel, this is half right and half wrong. At the rapture of the Church, the backbone of America, the born-again Christians, will depart this world leaving the US as a nation bent for destruction, thus no America in a new Middle East after the rapture. However, the Jewish state of Israel will be a part of the Middle East, in fact the new Middle East forever as promised in Bible prophecy.

The Abrahamic Covenant, Genesis 15, promises that the Jews will have a nation and a land in the Middle East forever. The Land Covenant, Deuteronomy 30, says that the Jewish state will be ten times as large as it is right now. This means then that the nations missing from the new Middle East will be Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, three quarters of Iraq and three quarters of Saudi Arabia and half the state of Egypt.

Israel will be a nation in the new Middle East forever.

A journalist in Jerusalem believes he has found the nails used to crucify Jesus Christ

Listen to Today's Program Play

A journalist and documentary film maker, Simcha Jacobovici, believes he has found the nails that were used to crucify Jesus Christ 2000 years ago and his documentary film gives what he calls solid evidence for his claims.

This Orthodox Jewish film maker also claims that Caiaphas, the high priest at the time of the crucifixion of Jesus, later converted to Christianity and when he was buried had the nails used to crucify Jesus buried with him.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The claims by a journalist in Jerusalem that he has the nails used to crucify Jesus Christ lacks real evidence for their authenticity, but the subject of Jesus being crucified is key to understanding the end of times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

Jerusalem journalist and documentary film maker, Simcha Jacobovici, has made several claims about the burial site of Jesus Christ and the nails used to crucify Him, claims that have been disputed by world renowned archaeologists. Even in light of this opposition to his claims, Jacobovici moves forward with promoting his so-called archaeological finds and has garnered the attention of those who do want to believe these claims are true even if the evidence is not sufficient to authenticate the claims. However, Jacobovici, an Orthodox Jew, has brought to the table for all to consider the reality of the death of Jesus Christ by crucifixion as recorded in the Bible.

I personally do not believe the recent discovery of the nails used to crucify Jesus Christ are the real thing, at the same time, all four gospels in the New Testament record every detail of this historic events. These same gospel accounts reveal that Jesus Christ did raise from the dead and that He is alive today and has promised to come back to the earth one day. Revelation 1:18 is the personal claim by Jesus Christ of His resurrection. Verse 19 and throughout the rest of the book of Revelation unfolds the prophecies of the end times, many of which are about to be fulfilled.

The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ gives us assurance that Jesus Christ can tell us the future. Bible prophecy will indeed be fulfilled.

Iraq is becoming the new destination for adventurist tourists

Listen to Today's Program Play

Iraq's rich history, its unique culture, amazing archaeology, and the intrigue of Saddam Hussein, has made Iraq the ideal location for a vacation destination for a growing number of daring tourists. Official figures on the exact number of visitors is lacking but the evidence is that interest in Iraq's historical and Biblical sites in continually increasing and discussions on the internet seem to confirm this report.

Biblical sites like Ninevah, Ur of the Chaldees, Babylon, and as some suggest, even the Garden of Eden can be visited in this war torn nation that believes an increase in tourism will help their recovery.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The possibility that the war torn nation of Iraq could be the tourism center of the Middle East does not fit with the prophetic scenario for this region in the last days according to Bible prophecy.

There indeed is great interest by adventurist tourists to visit the Biblical sites found in modern-day Iraq, sites like Ur of the Chaldees, Ninevah, Babylon, and as some suggest, even the site of the Garden of Eden. The Iraqi tourism board is working on a plan to attract tourists from around the world to their nation that is rebuilding and hoping that the financial gain from tourism will enhance the rebuilding efforts. My point is, however, that a major tourism campaign does not fit with the end times prophetic scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy. Bible prophecy, written over the last 2500 years by ancient Jewish prophets, reveals to all students of the prophetic Word of God that Iraq will be a major center - not a tourism center - but an economic, political, governmental power base in the last 3 1/2 years of the 7 year period of intense judgment on the Earth and Earth dwellers.

Revelation 18 foretells that Babylon, today's Iraq, will be this world headquarters for the world dictator, the Antichrist, who will control the global economic system to be implemented. A global economic crisis will be the precursor to this scenario (Revelation 13:16-17). Isaiah 13 - 14, Jeremiah 50 - 51, along with Revelation 16 reveals the total destruction of Babylon, modern-day Iraq, at the end of the 7 year judgment just before Jesus Christ returns to Earth.

Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

A Russian Middle East expert says there will be no peace in the Middle East in the next decade or longer

Listen to Today's Program Play

A Russian expert on the Middle East at the Institute of Strategic Studies says that the Middle East peace process is unlikely to produce any tangible results in the next decade or two, meaning that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is highly unlikely to be settled either by 2020 or 2030.

Serge Demidenko says that there must be a solution for three vital issues before there can be resolution to the conflict. Those issues are the status of Jerusalem, the refugee problem, and the Israeli settlement construction. Demidenko says that the current political situation on both sides does not allow the ability to bring the sides to the negotiating table.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Russians are correct if they mean there will be no true peace in the Middle East in the near future. But according to Bible prophecy a pseudo, short-lived peace could be in place in the very near future.

As has been the case for numbers of years in the Middle East, there are world leaders working to bring a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and bring peace to this war-torn region. Now a Russian expert on the Middle East says there will be no peace in the foreseeable future, most likely not in the next two decades.

If we look at the history of the peacemaking process, the Russians are most likely correct; however, when you look at current events in light of Biblical prophecy, you will realize how close we could be to peace in the Middle East; howbeit, a pseudo, short-lived peace.

The ancient Jewish prophet Daniel, wrote that there would come out of the Revived Roman Empire, a world leader that will confirm a peace agreement in the Middle East, Daniel 7:7-24 and Daniel 9:27.

The ratification of the European Union treaty and the election of the two main leaders for the European Union has put in place all that is needed to revive the old Roman Empire. The leader of that powerful political structure will be the one to confirm, not sign, but to confirm the three peace treaties that Israel has already on the table with their neighbors, Egypt, Jordan and the Palestinians.

Again I must say, the prophecy of Daniel 9:27 will be fulfilled.

The Jews have erected a temple in Jerusalem but it is not located on the Temple Mount

Listen to Today's Program Play

On a rooftop in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem and overlooking the Temple Mount is a newly constructed temple model weighing over one ton and this temple model is for the purpose of teaching the Jewish people their Biblical heritage as well as introducing to all non-Jews a worship center that will one day stand on the Temple Mount. This model, build on a scale of 1 to 60, is made of gold, silver, wood, and Jerusalem stone, and has a hydraulic system that raises the sanctuary section of the temple model exposing the Holy of Holies and the Ark of the Covenant.

A Jewish yeshiva, which is a place of learning, constructed this temple model for the purpose of training those who will one day work in the real temple to be built on the Temple Mount but will also inform the world of what one day will be reality in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount.

Jimmy's Prophetic prospective on the News

A model of the temple in Jerusalem overlooking the Temple Mount is a foretaste of things to come - according to Bible prophecy.

The religious Jews at the yeshiva, which is a Jewish learning center, located in Jerusalem have constructed a model of the temple that one day will stand less than one mile away on the Temple Mount and they believe that this is a step closer to seeing the temple worship restored for the Jewish people. Not only will this temple model be used at this training center to teach those qualified to work at the coming temple but it will also train all Jews to worship as their forefathers did some 2000 years ago. The model is truly a step closer to the renewal of temple sacrifice and temple worship for the Jewish people. It is also a reminder to all of mankind that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

There are many ancient Jewish prophets that speak of a coming temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. The Davidic Covenant, recorded in II Samuel 7, promises a temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. The Kingdom Temple will be built by the Messiah Jesus Christ (Zechariah 6:12). The description of the Kingdom Temple can be found in Ezekiel 40-46 with 202 verses of detailed information about that temple. Daniel wrote, however, of the next temple to be built in Jerusalem (Daniel 9:27) and all the preparations have been made for that temple.

Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan calls Col. Khadafi a "brother" and says President Obama is demonically controlled

Listen to Today's Program Play

Speaking from the pulpit of Chicago's Mosque Maryam, the Nation of Islam's international headquarters, minister Louis Farrakhan said that destruction could be on America's doorstep because it opposes Allah's chosen people, the Moslems, and he defended Libyan leader Moammar Khadafi calling him a "brother". Farrakhan and Khadafi have been allies for decades and the Moslem minister called the US action in Libya "hypocrisy" and he blamed demons for altering President Obama's moral conscience which led to Obama's assault on Khadafi.

Farrakhan cautioned President Obama that he was being used as a pawn to oppress his own people in Africa stating that the Jewish controlled media in America had pressured the president into taking action against Khadafi and Libya.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Louis Farrakhan's statement that President Obama was demonically controlled is considered to be radical. However, it does have an interesting connection to Bible prophecy.

The international leader of the Nation of Islam, minister Louis Farrakhan, has made controversial statements in the past that have shocked the world. Farrakhan's visit to Libya and his meeting with Col. Khadafi in Libya a number of years ago raised great concerns in the United States government. The million man march led by Farrakhan in Washington DC was evidence of his power and influence among the African-American men in the United States. However, Farrakhan's recent statement that the reason for President Obama's action against Col. Khadafi was because the President was demonically controlled, goes beyond the pale according to many.

This statement about demonically controlled world leaders does however have a connection to the Bible and Bible prophecy. Daniel 10 is the record of two demonically controlled world leaders, the Prince of Persia (verse 13) and the Prince of Greece (verse 20). The Prince of Persia was wicked Haman of the Biblical book of Esther and the Prince of Greece Antiochus Epiphanes, the madman of the Grecian attack on the temple in Jerusalem found in Daniel 11:21-35. The Apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 6:12 that our battle today is against Satan and demons operating out of the heavens. In the last days, demons will indeed control world leaders. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The Palestinian terrorist group Hamas plans to eliminate the Jewish state of Israel

Listen to Today's Program Play

A spokesman for Hamas, the Palestinian terror group, said that the Jihadist movement is loyal to Palestinian principles in its policy of terrorism against the Jews until Israel ceases to exist and said that any offer by the PA President Mahmoud Abbas to establish a Palestinian state, even with temporary borders, is rejected by Hamas.

Osama Hamdan, the Hamas spokesman, said the Hamas plan is based on obtaining a Palestinian state by force of arms, not by way of a grievance, a path which has failed and that Hamas will fight to eliminate the Jewish state of Israel altogether.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by Hamas, the Palestinian terror group, that they plan to eliminate the Jewish state of Israel, is a page out of Bible prophecy.

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been the focus of world leaders over the last several decades as they have worked to bring about a resolution to this conflict. However, the truth be known, as revealed in the recent Hamas declaration, the elimination of the Jewish state of Israel is a Palestinian principle. Both Bible history and prophecy confirm this Palestinian principle. In the book of Genesis, we have the record of the birth of Jacob and Esau, Genesis 25:23-26.

In Genesis 27, the account of Jacob stealing the birthright and blessing from Esau reveals that Esau then made a pledge to kill Jacob. History down through 4000 years has revealed to us the conflict continues even until today with Jacob, the Jewish people of today, and Esau, the Palestinian people of today, still in that conflict of 4000 years. Bible prophecy foretold of this conflict during the end times. Ezekiel, the ancient Jewish prophet, wrote that the Edomites, the descendants of Esau, the Palestinian people today, would want to kill the Jews, the descendants of Jacob, and then take the land that God had given to them, Ezekiel 35.

The Hamas plan to eliminate the Jewish state of Israel is indeed a page out of Bible prophecy, Bible prophecy that will be fulfilled.

Jews in Jerusalem have raised millions of dollars to be ready for the coming of the Messiah

Listen to Today's Program Play

The Temple Institute in Jerusalem is leading the way in preparations to build the next Temple on the Temple Mount and most of every day this organization is preparing for the arrival of the Messiah in Jerusalem.

Yehuda Glick, the Executive Director of the Temple Institute, says the Temple Institute has become a fixture of evangelical tours in Israel and that largely to their donations, the Temple Institute has spent around 27 million dollars on the preparations for the next Temple to be built in Jerusalem.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Temple Institute in Jerusalem has raised the monies to make preparations for the building of the next Temple in Jerusalem and they believe that they could start building at any time, a fact that is confirmed by Bible prophecy.

For over twenty years, the Temple Institute in Jerusalem has been working to make ready everything needed to erect the next Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount. They have biblical harps, the menorah, the table of shewbread, the priestly garments, even the garments for the high priest and they know where the Ark of the Covenant is located as well. Yehuda Glick, executive director of the Temple Institute, says that we live in a day of miracles and all that is predicted in the Bible, which will happen on the eve of the end of days, could happen today or tomorrow.

Glick's statement is confirmed by Bible prophecy. Ezekiel 40-46 gives a description of the Messiah's Temple that will be built when the Messiah returns to Jerusalem. We know that because Zechariah 6:12 says that the Messiah will come back and build His Temple where He will rule and reign forever, Zechariah 6:13. However, the Bible also speaks of a Temple in Jerusalem before the Messiah's Temple as foretold in Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4 and revelation 11:1.

All preparations have been made for the next Temple to be built in Jerusalem. There's only one thing that must happen before the Temple is erected and that is the Rapture, when Jesus Christ will call all Christians into the heavens to be with Him forevermore.

Jordan's ambassador to the United States says that Jerusalem is a ticking time bomb

Listen to Today's Program Play

The Jordanian Ambassador to the United States says that Jerusalem is a ticking time bomb where an attack by Jewish extremists on Moslem holy sites could erase any chances for peace between Israel and the Palestinians also undermining stability in the entire Moslem world. The ambassador said his country was worried that an incident on the Temple Mount could unleash emotions of an extreme nature and the consequences would be very severe.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by the Jordanian ambassador to the United States that Jerusalem is a ticking time bomb is actually a page out of Bible prophecy.

From 1948 through 1967 and the Six Day War, the Jordanian government had control of the Al Aqsa Mosque, the Islamic mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. In fact, the Jordanians controlled the entire Temple Mount and allowed no Jews to enter the complex. The late King Hussein released control of the Temple Mount compound to the Palestinian Authority who have had custodial responsibilities of this holy site for the last 16 years. The Palestinian-Islamic Trust controls who can or cannot enter the compound. The Temple Mount or the Al-Aqsa, as the Moslems refer to this site, is the Islamic world's third holiest site. To the Jews and the Christians, it is their holiest site in the universe.

The statement by the Jordanian envoy is, in truth, reality. The Temple Mount, is indeed, a ticking time bomb. As I stated, this statement is a page out of Bible prophecy found in the prophetic book of Zechariah. The ancient Jewish prophet revealed 2500 years before the fact that Jerusalem and in particular the Temple Mount would be the center of controversy in the last days (Zechariah 12:2-3, 1:14-16). The prophetic phrase, "a cup of trembling" found in Zechariah 12:2 means that those who control this holy site will be intoxicated with power and will do so until the Messiah Jesus Christ returns to build His temple on this holy site.

Jerusalem as a ticking time bomb does set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

A Dutch political leader says that liberal politicians are facilitating the spread of Islamic holy war

Listen to Today's Program Play

The Dutch political leader, Geert Wilders, addressing the British House of Lords told them that liberal political leaders are facilitating the spread of Islamic jihad, Islamic holy war, because they consider Islam as being equal to the culture of the West. Wilders believes that Islam is not compatible with the Western way of life and is a threat to the West - Islam and freedom, Islam and democracy are not compatible - Islam wants to dominate all aspects of life from the cradle to the grave.

Wilders has a film that warns the world of Islam's desire to set up a caliphate, a worldwide kingdom under Islam and holy war as the means to that end.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The spread of radical Islam with the help of liberal politicians is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Today one in every four people on the earth are of the Islamic faith and that number is increasing daily. There are several voices in our world that are shouting out a warning to humankind to be alert to the global designs of Islam. One such voice is that of the Dutch politician Geert Wilders who with his documentary film and lectures around the world, is warning the world that there may be moderate Moslems, the people of Islam, but there is no moderate Islam, the religion. Wilders says that the Islamic holy book, the Koran, calls for a worldwide kingdom under the god of Islam, Allah, and Islamic jihad, holy war, as the means to reaching that goal.

Bible prophecy itself calls for a worldwide kingdom under Jesus Christ, the holy One of the Holy Bible. In fact, God made a promise to King David many years ago that that would happen. It is called the Davidic Covenant recorded in II Samuel 7. The Bible says that there will be a kingdom headquartered in Jerusalem (Zechariah 6:12-13) and it will last for 1000 years (Revelation 20:4-6). The Bible actually contradicts the Koran. The Koran says that the Islamic god Allah had no son. The Bible says that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the coming King of the worldwide kingdom.

The liberal politicians helping the spread of Islam is indeed helping to set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
