The Israeli government has allowed Hamas to broadcast incitement against the Jews from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem

Rabbi Chaim Richmond, a member of the Jewish Sanhedrin and leader of the Temple Institute, claims that the Israeli government is responsible for allowing Hamas, the Palestinian terrorist organization, to broadcast live from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem while at the same time Jews and Christians were banned from the holy site.

Rami Kaoud, a manager of Hamas-al Aqsa Radio, said that broadcasting daily from the Temple Mount helps to bring al Aqsa to the Gaza Strip and to challenge the siege imposed on the Palestinian people by the Zionist state of Israel.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Live radio broadcast by the Palestinian terror group Hamas from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem is evidence of the nearness of both the positive and negative scenarios that can be found in Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

For a number of years, the Palestinian Authority has broadcast the Friday Moslem services from the Al Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Now, the Palestinian terrorist group, Hamas, has been granted permission to broadcast live and daily to the Hamas followers in the Gaza Strip from the Temple Mount.

In a joint statement by the New Jewish Congress, the different Jewish Temple Movements and the Sanhedrin, they claimed that the Israeli government has decided to give over the Temple Mount, the apple of the Jewish nation's eye, for the use of enemy incitement as Hamas calls for the destruction of the Jewish state of Israel.

There is a positive and negative aspect to this story as it relates to the prophetic scenarios that can be found in bible prophecy for the Last Days.

The ancient Jewish prophet Micah revealed that the Word of the Lord, Word from the Messiah, will go forth from the House of the Lord, the Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, in the future Kingdom Period, Micah 4:1-2.

However, this story also reveals to us that the Palestinian people, people in Biblical times known as Edomites, descendants of Esau; these Palestinians would call for the destruction of the Jewish state and the demise of the Jewish people in the Last Days, Ezekiel 35.

Live radio broadcasts by Hamas from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Middle East Peace Envoy Tony Blair tells Israel to drop it's indifference and skepticism about the prospects for peace with the Palestinians

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, now the Middle East Peace Envoy for the Quartet, has told the Israeli's that they need to make a psychological shift from indifference and skepticism about the prospects of progress with the Palestinians to an active determination to make it happen on the right terms.

Blair, in an interview with the Jerusalem Post, said that Israel, which will be 60 years old next May, would absolutely still be here in another 60 years but that to guarantee it's long-term security, he believes that Israel needs a viable Palestinian state.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The recent exhortation to Israel from Middle East Peace envoy Tony Blair, that Israel can have peace with the Palestinians, has positive and negative prophetic significance, that is according to Bible prophecy.

After serving a number of years as the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Tony Blair was named as the Middle East Peace Envoy for the Quartet, which includes the United States, the European Union, the United Nations and Russia.

The peace envoy believes that the Israeli's and the Palestinians can co-exist in the Middle East into the future. This thought pattern displayed by Blair is in contradiction to Bible prophecy.

The ancient Jewish prophet's wrote that the Jews, descendants of Jacob, and the Palestinians, descendants of Esau will continue to fight each other until the Messiah, Jesus Christ comes back to earth, Malachi 1:2-4, Ezekiel 35 and Obediah.

Tony Blair's position as Middle East Peace Envoy is a prototype for a leader who will come to power out of the Revived Roman Empire, that would be the European Union, today, and will indeed establish a peace; howbeit a short-term peace between the Jewish state of Israel and it's Arab and Moslem neighboring states. This scenario is found in Daniel 7 and also Daniel 9:27.

Let me hasten to say; however, I do not believe that that leader, the Antichrist, will be fulfilled by Tony Blair, but indeed he is a perfect prototype. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Heavy fighting in Southern Iraq between Iraqi security forces and Islamic Messiah's Army has caused concern across the world

Recent reports of intensive exchanges of gunfire in Southern Iraq between the Iraqi security forces and the Mahdi Army, the Islamic militia of the Shiite radical cleric Muqtada al Sadr who is also a political leader in Iraq, has retained the world's attention as this radical Islamic cleric pursues more power both religiously and politically.

The Mahdi Army, the Messiah's Army in English, has been the most fierce of militias in Iraq and had been quiet during a recent cease fire arranged by Muqtada al Sadr, a cease fire that seems to have been broken. The main fighting has been centered in Bosra which is where a major oil pipeline is located which the Iraqi forces are seeking to defend, while at the same time, in Sadr City, a section of Baghdad, there are additional clashes between the Mahdi Army and Iraqi security forces.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The fighting for control of war torn Iraq and its vast oil fields is a scenario that is key to understanding the prophetic scenario for Iraq that is found in Bible prophecy.

The radical Islamic cleric Muqtada al Sadr and his Mahdi Army have been waging an ongoing battle for the religious and political control of Iraq since the fall of Saddam Hussein. The Arabic word Mahdi means, "Messiah" and Muqtada al Sadr believes this is a battle to control Iraq in the final days of history before Allah, the Islamic god, sets up his Islamic kingdom here on Earth.

Islamic eschatology has an interesting parallel to true Biblical eschatology, eschatology of course, the study of End Time events. In Biblical eschatology, Iraq, modern-day Biblical Babylon, will be the center of world power as the coming false messiah, the Antichrist, will set up his headquarters in Babylon, located on the Euphrates River in Iraq just outside of Baghdad, Revelation 16 and 18. Jeremiah 50 and 51 says that Babylon will be destroyed just prior to the Return of Jesus Christ to the Earth.

The control of Iraq and its vast oil fields is on the agenda of events that will indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Russia will hold a Middle East peace conference whether Israel likes it or not

A very defiant Russian Foreign Minister (FM) says that Russia is determined to go ahead with an international Middle East peace conference in Moscow this coming June, whether the Israelis like it or not and the FM Sergey Lavrov made that clear to Israeli officials on a recent visit in Jerusalem.

At the same time, Russia and Egypt have announced the signing a nuclear deal between the two countries with Russian President Vladimir Putin assuring Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak that Russia's overall foreign policy and energy policy will not change after Medvedev becomes president.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Russians demanding an international Middle East peace conference in Moscow and signing a nuclear deal with Egypt is in reality a page out of Bible prophecy for the End Times.

On a recent trip to Jerusalem, the Russian FM was very demanding in that the Russians will hold an international Middle East peace conference in Moscow this next summer as a follow-up to the Annapolis Middle East Summit in the US last Fall. Russia is watching Iran become more influential in the Middle East with its connections to Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in the Gaza and in Iraq. The Russian leadership of Putin and Medvedev want to bring Iran under control and make certain of their position in the Middle East, thus the plan for the summit in Moscow.

This scenario is truly a page out of Bible prophecy. The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel wrote 2,500 years ago of a coalition of nations that will form an alignment against the Jewish state of Israel, Ezekiel 38. Ezekiel 38:2 introduces Gog, the leader, in the land of Magog, the place, and Bible geography reveals that Magog is modern-day Russia. Ezekiel 38:5 mentions Persia, modern-day Iran, and Daniel 11 and Psalm 83 mention the other nations that Russia will lead against Israel.

Russia's demand for an international Middle East peace conference does indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has called for an interfaith conference between Moslems, Christians and Jews

In a rare departure from government practice, Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah is planning to convene an interfaith conference that will include Moslems, Christians and even Jews and this conference has received a green light from Saudi Arabia's top Islamic clerics.

King Abdullah said that he had proposed to Pope Benedict a couple of months ago, the idea of a summit to promote religious dialog telling the Pope he wanted to address Allah by means of the Bible, the New Testament and the Koran. The Saudi monarch said that he is disturbed by the breakdown in the family unit across the world as well as the damage to the principle of loyalty to humanity and he wants to hold a number of these interfaith summits in the future.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

An interfaith summit of Moslems, Christians and Jews led by the King of Saudi Arabia is a precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Recently, Pope Benedict announced the Vatican's plan to hold a conference where Christians and Moslems will get together to share what their two faiths have in common. The King wants to include Jews in the conference. King Abdullah says that an open discussion of the three faiths: Islam, Christianity and Judaism will promote a better understanding between them.

This proposed interfaith summit is preparing the world for the one world religion that is called for in Bible prophecy. Revelation 17 is the prophecy of the coming one world religion that will be headquartered in Rome, Italy. It will be a mother-son cult that was established 4,500 years ago in Babylon. This false religion will be led by the individual known in Bible prophecy by 27 names, the best known name, the Antichrist. Revelation 13 and in Daniel chapters 7 and 11 all give us prophetic Biblical passages about this coming world religious leader. Ezekiel 39:2 reveals that Islam will not be included in this false religion because in the first six months of the Tribulation, Israel will be rendered inoperative according to Bible prophecy.

King Abdullah's call for this interfaith summit is indeed a precursor to Bible prophecy that will be fulfilled.

Two Israeli politicians on the opposite sides of the political spectrum agree on one thing - Iran

On a recent trip to the Middle East, US Vice-President Dick Cheney stopped in Israel to try and keep the Middle East peace process on track; and Vice-President Cheney met with Israeli and Palestinian leaders to encourage each side to make the hard concessions to accomplish a peace agreement.

The United States Vice-President met with Israel's President Shimon Peres; and also the opposition leader of the government, Likud Party leader and former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with both men, both from opposite sides of the political spectrum, both men agreeing on the issue of Iran and it's danger to the Jewish state of Israel.

Both politicians agreeing on the Iranian threat.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Two opposing political leaders of Israel, agreeing on one issue, the Iranian threat, is significant politically; but very significant prophetically.

As Dick Cheney met with the leaders of Israel on a recent Middle East trip, he heard from two Israeli politicians on the opposite sides of the political spectrum that there is something that they agree on today.

Both men, Israeli President Shimon Peres and opposition leader and former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, agree that Iran is the major threat to the Jewish state of Israel.

President Peres says that Israel can not give back the Golan Heights to Syria, that would allow for Syrian-Iranian control of the "high spot" in northern Israel.

Benjamin Netanyahu says that a divided Jerusalem would allow for the Hamas-Iranian element to take control of the old city of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.

Israeli intelligence reports that Iran is orchestrating a take-over of all of Israel and in particular, the Golan Heights and the Temple Mount. Actually, there is nothing new in this intelligence report. Bible prophecy foretold this scenario some 2500 years ago in the biblical books of Daniel, Ezekiel and the Psalms.

These passages of prophecy reveal an alignment of nations who rise up to destroy the Jewish state in the last days, with Iran center focus in this alignment, Ezekiel 38:5 and Psalm 83:6.

Political agreement on Iran is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Jews around the world mark the time when they were spare annihilation and Christians mark the death and ressurection of the Jewish Messiah

The Jewish people on this weekend of the Jewish holy day of Purim mark the time in history when the Queen of Persia, Queen Esther, was able to convince the Persian king 2,500 years ago to spare the Jewish people in the world from complete annihilation at the hands of the wicked Haman, as recorded in the Biblical book of Esther.

Many Jewish leaders see a parallel to the story of Esther with the Iranian President Ahmadinejad calling for Israel to be wiped off the map and to destroy not only the state of Israel, but Jewish people everywhere. This year, the weekend also marks the most known event in history, the death, burial and resurrection from the dead by Jesus Christ who millions of people around the world claim is the One prophesied about by the ancient Jewish prophets as the Messiah.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

According to Bible prophecy, God promised to spare the Jewish people from complete annihilation as recorded in the book of Esther, but God also sent His Son, the Jewish Messiah, Jesus Christ to Earth in fulfillment of prophecy as well and has promised that He would come again some day soon according to that same Bible prophecy.

Throughout the weekend, Jewish children will dress up in costumes depicting the characters of the book of Esther. In the synagogues, they will read the book of Esther with a loud uproar every time the name Haman is mentioned in the book. The holy day, Purim marks the victory over wicked Haman who wanted to annihilate all the Jewish people on Earth at that time, similar to the desires and threats of the present-day Persian King, Iranian President Ahmadinejad.

This weekend also marks the death, burial and resurrection of the Jewish Messiah, Jesus Christ. The resurrection of Jesus proved He was who He said He was and can do and in fact, will do what He said He would do, come back to this Earth one day to dwell among His people, the Jewish people forever. The book of Esther is a prophetic look at events even today; however, the resurrection of Jesus Christ provided a Savior for all people and a guarantee that all of Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Jesus Christ is coming and it could be today.

Time Magazine: McCain's visit to Israel was aimed at gaining support from Evangelicals who believe the Jewish state fulfills Bible prophecy

According to an article in Time Magazine, John McCain's Holy Land pilgrimage during his trip to the Middle East was aimed at gaining support of the Jewish community in America, but more crucially, the support of Evangelical Christians who are a large part of the Republican party base and until now, have regarded the twice married McCain as too liberal and too hard to pigeonhole.

A recent Pew Poll says that 65% of Evangelicals believe the state of Israel fulfills a Biblical prophecy about the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and McCain's support of Israel may tip the balance in his favor.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Pew Poll that reveals 65% of all Evangelical Christians believe that Israel today is a fulfillment of Bible prophecy in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is at best a mixed blessing in light of the prophetic truth that can be found in the Bible.

Time Magazine's coverage had an interesting twist. The story accused McCain of using the Israel visit to play to the Christians who believe that the state of Israel is a fulfillment of Bible prophecy in connection with the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, thus McCain's stop in Israel could gain the support of the Evangelical Christian in the presidential election. That part of the story aside, my concern is that only 65% of Evangelical Christians see Israel today as a fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

The Bible reveals through the record of the covenants of God, promises by God to the Jewish people, that He has a plan for the Jews, His chosen people, that will be played out in the future. In Genesis 12 and 15, the Lord promised the Jews that they would have a nation forever and a piece of real estate in the Middle East and that forever. Ezekiel, the ancient Jewish prophet, said in chapters 34, 36 and 37 of his prophecy that the Jews would return from all over the world to the Middle East to a piece of real estate that He would give them and they indeed would build a nation among the nations of the world, all of this leading up to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

The truth be known, 100% of Evangelical Christians should know and believe that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

President Bush marks the 5th Anniversary of the Iraq War with claims of a major strategic victory

President Bush, while acknowledging the Iraq War has been fought at a high cost, also believes that the US troop buildup in Iraq has opened the door to a major strategic victory against Islamic militants.

The president believes that the successes which are being seen in Iraq are undeniable and the president has an upbeat assessment of the US-led campaign on this the 5th anniversary of the war in Iraq. President Bush, while touting the security gains from the troop increase in Iraq, says the surge has done more than turn the situation around in Iraq, it has made Iraq the central front in the battle against Islamic extremists.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

As the US marks the 5th anniversary of the Iraq War, any student of Bible prophecy can understand the significance of this controversial war in the Middle East.

With only a few months left in office, President Bush still maintains that the high cost of the war and the US troop buildup has set in place a major strategic victory against Islamic militants. Prophetically, the war in Iraq and the demise of Saddam Hussein has had a major impact on setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Saddam's Jerusalem Army of seven million soldiers who planned to liberate Jerusalem and give it to the Palestinians had to be stopped, according to Bible prophecy, so that Iraq, Biblical Babylon, could rise to power, Revelation 18. Time after time in the prophetic passages of Scripture, you can see accounts of how the Lord used human world political leaders to accomplish His will, II Chronicles 36, Ezra 1, Nehemiah 2, Daniel 11 and Revelation 17, 18. The principle of prophecy related to God's use of world leaders is found in Revelation 17:17 where it says God puts into the hearts of world leaders to do His will.

The 5th anniversary of the Iraqi War is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

According to two internationally known astronomers our years on earth are numbered until this earth is totally destroyed

According to a forecast with new calculations by a pair of world reknown astronomers; one from Mexico and the other from England, man has only so many years on this earth before it is dragged from it's orbit to a rapid vaporous death.

This report is the latest installment in a long running debate about the ultimate fate of the earth and the universe surrounding the earth.

This report coming with word that the sun is getting hotter and hotter and it will continue to do so until it transforms itself into a red giant.

These two astronomers, Dr Peter Schroeder and Dr Robert Smith say that if nature is left to it's own devices, the earth will be destroyed in about 7 1/2 billion years; that's right "b", 7 1/2 billion years from now.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Two astronomers who are predicting the demise of the earth and the sun, are pretty much on target but their timing is a bit off, that is according to Bible prophecy.

This report about the demise of the earth indicates that the sun is and will continue to get hotter and hotter until it drags the earth to a rapid, vaporous death.

This is not the first such report from the field of science, it is an ongoing debate among scientists as to how and when the earth and much of our galaxy will be destroyed.

This report on the ultimate fate of the earth that we are living on today pretty much is on target but as I said, the timing is a bit off, by billions of years.

Bible prophecy says that the earth will be burned up, II Peter 3:10. Revelation 8 & 16 speak of the earth's destruction as the sun gets hotter and hotter.

The Apostle John wrote in Revelation 21:1-2 that there will be a new earth and new heavens in the future. This scenario is also foretold by the ancient Jewish prophet, Isaiah, found in Isaiah 65:17 and 66:22.

These prophecies will indeed be fulfilled; however, not in 7 1/2 billion years, but surely in the near future.

A war between Syria and Israel is a very viable possibility

A Kuwaiti newspaper is quoting the Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Moallem as saying that a war between Syria and Israel is a very viable possibility adding that every rational person should prepare for war in light of what the Syrian Foreign Minister described as the crazy policies of the United States in the Middle East.

The Syrian Foreign Minister said he thought it was possible that Israel was preparing for a war against Lebanon or Syria in concert with the United States who doesn't seem to want stability and security in the region.

The Syrian leader said that Hezbollah is a friend of Syria Hezbollah is not a proxy of Syria but a friend; and that Hezbollah was a part of Lebanon and all of it's difficulties.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by Syria's Foreign Minister that a war between Israel and Syria is a possibility should have been stated that it is an absolute, that is according to Bible prophecy.

Since the 34 day war between Israel and Hezbollah back in 2006, the Syrian government has been making concerning statements about the possibility of war between these two Middle Eastern nations, Israel and Syria.

In light of what looked like a Hezbollah victory over the Israeli Defense Force, the Syrian leadership believes that they could win a war against Israel.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has repeatedly said that Syria will get the Golan Heights back under Syrian control either through diplomacy or military activity.

Bible prophecy also has something to say about an Israeli-Syrian conflict. Daniel wrote of nations that will come together in conflict, during the last days, leading up to the return of Jesus Christ to earth.

In Daniel 11:40-45 the Jewish prophet wrote of the King of the North, described earlier in Daniel 11 as Syria. Syria, militarily, will be the first nation to strike the Jewish State of Israel, early on in the seven year Tribulation Period.

Syria will actually lead the way as many nations will align themselves to try to destroy the Jewish state, that's Daniel 11, Ezekiel 38 and Psalm 83. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The US State Department is reporting worldwide Antisemitism is on the rise

In a report prepared by the US State Department and recently released, it states that today, more than 60 years after the Holocaust, Antisemitism is very much an existing phenomenon rather than merely being a historical occurrence.

Without detailing exact statistics, the study concludes that US embassies around the world in the last ten years recorded a rise in attacks against Jews and their religious institutions along with new types of Antisemitism in addition to the traditional Antisemitic acts. The study singles out several world leaders and regimes who fan the flames of hatred against the Jews including Iranian President Ahmadinejad, Venezuelan President Chavez, the Syrian government and the Egyptian and Saudi Arabian state media.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

With the rise of Antisemitism around the world, according to a recently released US State Department report, the End Times scenario from Bible prophecy is coming better into focus.

There are a number of Jewish organizations that report of the occurrences of Antisemitism in our world today. Now, there is a report recently released by the US State Department which says over the last decade, there is a rise in Antisemitic acts against the Jews worldwide. This report indicates that Iranian President Ahmadinejad and the Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez are leading the way for this increase in hatred for the Jews.

Ahmadinejad has called for the Jews to be wiped off the Earth and their name to be forgotten forever. The ancient Jewish prophets wrote years ago that Antisemitism would indeed increase to dramatic proportions in the Last Days. The Psalmist wrote that their would be a call to cut off the Jews from being a nation so that the name of Israel would be remembered no more, Psalm 83:4. Jeremiah wrote of a time referred to as the time of Jacob's Trouble, Jeremiah 30:7. Zechariah reveals that during that time of Jacob's Trouble, two out of every three Jews will be killed, Zechariah 13:8.

This reported rise in Antisemitism released by the US State Department is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The European Parliament is 50 years old and said to become a substantial powerhouse in 2009

Many European leaders believe that the European Parliament has changed profoundly since its meager beginnings in 1958 to the substantial powerhouse it is set to be from 2009, the year that the Lisbon Treaty from the EU will be implemented.

Established as the European Assembly with its 142 members and 4 official languages, its ranks have swelled to 785 members in the European Parliament today and it has 23 official languages. The European Parliament is the world's only directly elected multinational legislature and under the EU's new treaty, the power of the MEPs will be extended to include virtually all policy areas.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

With the expanded powers that will be given to the European Parliament under the EU treaty the stage is set for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

As the European Parliament marks its 50th birthday, it is preparing to become a powerhouse in the worldwide, political, economic and governmental arena in 2009. The EU treaty, the Lisbon Treaty which will be implemented in 2009, will empower the European Parliament and give it extended powers in virtually all policy areas. As the only directly elected multinational legislature in our world today, this governmental body will be a major powerhouse on the world scene.

The European Parliament, the European Commission and the 27 member-states of the EU do actually fit a model that is described in Bible prophecy for the Last Days. The Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream 2,500 years ago that the prophet Daniel interpreted for the king, an interpretation that is actually a prophecy of the revived Roman Empire that will come to power in the Last Days, Daniel 2:40-45. Daniel himself had a dream that predicted the exact same scenario, Daniel 7:7-8, 23-24.

The European Parliament, the European Commission and the EU do indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The Annual Israeli Intelligence Report indicates Israel could faces attacks on five different fronts

The Annual Israeli Intelligence Report prepared by the IDF's intelligence branch with the help of the Mossad, shows that Lebanon is crumbling and falling into the hands of Hezbollah, that Syria remains a threat and that Gaza and the worldwide Islamic Jihad movement are a threat to the Jewish state as well.

The most significant danger of all for Israel is Iran's nuclear program and their connection to Hamas in the Gaza Strip and that Israel's Northern border with Hezbollah, which is a highly flammable situation, realizing that if Hezbollah attacks Israel, this will ignite other Arab fronts as well. The report reveals there are five hostile operative fronts: Syria, Lebanon, Gaza, Iran and global Jihad with Iran the main threat as indicated by the report.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Annual Israeli Intelligence Report is like reading out of the pages of Bible prophecy which lays out a scenario for the Middle East in the Last Days.

The IDF's intelligence branch with the help of the Mossad presents an annual report to inform the Israeli government and its military leaders of what they may expect in the next year. The reality that Israel is facing five hostile fronts: Syria, Lebanon, Gaza, Iran and global Jihad alerts the region that the situation is highly flammable and could be ignited by an attack on Israel by Hezbollah which would open up other Arab fronts.

Let me remind you that I have been reading from the Annual Israeli Intelligence Report, not the pages of Bible prophecy. Bible prophecy however, does mention the same Middle Eastern Islamic nations and almost a word-for-word scenario that will unfold in the Last Days, a scenario that can be found in all the Bible prophecy books including: Daniel 11, Ezekiel 38 and even Psalm 83. Joel 2 reveals that this Alignment of Nations will come to Jerusalem to destroy the Jewish state, an event that takes place just after the Rapture of the Church.

Israeli Intelligence and Bible prophecy indicate that Bible prophecy indeed will be fulfilled.

An Islamic leader in Israel denies the Jewish Temples ever existed in Jerusalem

The al Aqsa Mosque, known as the Temple Mount to the Jewish people, was never the site of a Jewish Temple according to the head of the Islamic movement, Sheikh Raad Salah who said that the claims of the Jews are a big lie and they have no right to even one speck of dirt on the location.

The sheikh said he believes that Moslems are at a critical time in history, that al Aqsa is in danger and Jerusalem is in danger and the Moslem world must save al Aqsa, free Jerusalem and
end the Israeli occupation. Sheikh Salah believes that Jerusalem is not only houses, it is faith, it is history, it is a present, a future, an eternal right that the Moslems will not relinquish.

Jimmy DeYoung's Prophetic Prospective on the News

An Islamic leader that says there was never a Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and then says that piece of real estate actually belongs to the Moslems is playing a role that was foretold in Bible prophecy.

It sounds like an echo chamber here in Jerusalem as one Islamic leader after another makes the statement that there was never a Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount, a fact disputed by both Biblical and secular history. Islamic leaders claim that there is no archaeological evidence of a previous Jewish presence on the Temple Mount. With total disregard for Biblical history, these Islamic leaders make claims that can be easily disproved.

The Bible reveals that King Solomon built the first Jewish Temple on Mount Moriah, the Temple Mount almost 3,000 years ago, II Chronicles 3:1. There is the Biblical account of the building and the dedicatory service of the second Jewish Temple built in Jerusalem around 2,500 years ago, Ezra 6. Jesus told the ancient prophet Zechariah that He would return to Jerusalem to build His Temple on the Temple Mount, Zechariah 1:16, Zechariah 6:12. However before that, conflict and controversy would surround the Temple Mount, Zechariah 12:2.

An Islamic leader claiming that there has never been a Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

A leading rabbi in Israel says the Israeli government should be replaced by the Torah

Rabbi Yakov Shapira, the head of the Jewish seminary, the Yeshiva where an Islamic Palestinian terrorist killed eight of the Yeshiva students as they were studying the Torah, which Rabbi Shapira says is needed to strengthen the nation of Israel so that it can realize it's potential power that is hidden in the entire nation.

The Rabbi said that if there is no Bible there is no moral fiber and the physical strength of the Jewish people and the Jewish nation will go lacking. Rabbi Shapira called for a continuation of the struggle for the land of Israel and for the Lord to avenge the blood spilled on a sacred spot, the soil of the land of Israel.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The desire to study the Word of God, the Bible, in the land of Israel today is a precursor for the prophetic scenario that will take place in this land in a future tomorrow.

Recently in Jerusalem an Islamic Palestinian terrorist attacked a Jewish seminary, a Yeshiva, and killed 8 of the students who were actually studying the Torah at the time of the attack. The director of the Yeshiva has called for Torah study to become a part of the lifestyle of every Jew in Israel.

He wants the hollow Israeli government to be replaced by a strong government that grows out of studying the Torah, the Bible. The Rabbi says that the Torah is the moral fiber needed to conquer the land of Israel, the land that the Lord has and is continuing to give to the Jewish people as He promised He would do in the last days.

The ancient Jewish prophet Jeremiah wrote some 2500 years ago that the Lord would indeed bring the Jews from around the world back into the land of their forefathers, Jeremiah 31:8-10.
The prophet also wrote that the Lord would give the Jews their land, verse 17; their language, the Hebrew language, verse 23; and a desire for spiritual things, Jeremiah 31:31.

The Lord told Jeremiah that in the last days He would put His law, the Torah, the Word of God, in the hearts of the Jewish people, verse 33. The Lord also said that He would be their God and that the Jewish people would be His people.

As Rabbi Shapira, director of the Yeshiva said, this land of Israel will be governed by the Torah, the Word of God. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The terrorist attack on a Jewish seminary in Jerusalem is being seen in Messianic terms

A lone Palestinian gunmen broke the silence of terrorism in Jerusalem by entering a yeshiva, a seminary for Jewish men, and killing a number of them while they were studying the Bible, an act that many are calling the beginning of a holy war.

While the Israeli defense establishment is pondering the diplomatic and security implications of the terrorist attack, a totally different analysis is taking place among the families and the students of the Jewish seminary, a yeshiva made up of religious Jewish Zionists and students from the Jewish settlements. Jewish leaders are saying that the attack was aimed specifically at the religious Zionists and that the terrorists knew that by speaking in this language, their message could only be interpreted one way, as a holy war.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A Palestinian Islamic terrorist attack on a Jewish religious seminary is evidence that Bible prophecy is going to be fulfilled and seemingly in the near future.

The fact that the Jewish students, killed recently by a lone Palestinian terrorist, took place in a house of God, has touched the most basic nerve of many Israelis and especially the religious Zionist public. Being Messianic religious people, these religious Zionists see the attack through the prism of messianic prophecy. As evidence by the programs heard on the religious Zionist radio stations who have been discussing the incident in prophetic terms. Many of the top leadership of the religious Zionist movement who spoke at the funerals of the yeshiva students that were killed spoke of revenge for their blood.

In the ancient prophetic book of Ezekiel, the Jewish prophet speaks of a people who will rise up in the Last Days and shed the blood of the children of Israel. Ezekiel 35:5 is the prophecy against the Edomites, the Palestinian people of today, and it says they will be judged because of their perpetual hatred for the Jewish people and the shedding of their blood. Other Jewish prophets also referred to the continuing conflict that is going on between the Jews and the Palestinians, prophets like Malachi, Jeremiah and Obadiah.

The slaughter of Jewish religious students by an Islamic fundamentalist Palestinian terrorist does indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Pope Benedict has approved a permanent Catholic-Moslem forum for interfaith dialogue on an annual basis

In a ground breaking move, Pope Benedict has approved the setting up of a permanent Catholic-Moslem forum, the first of its kind, which is to hold its inaugural summit meeting in the Fall at the Vatican between Vatican officials and a Moslem delegation of 138 Moslem scholars.

The meeting in Rome will be in response to the Pope's controversial speech in Germany in 2006 when the Pope appeared to describe Islam as violent and irrational. The aim of the summit is to return to the roots of faith and discuss what Catholicism and Islam have in common. Leaders of the summit say they hope Moslems will join the Pope in deeper dialog on doctrine, theology and character of religion in today's world.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A summit in Rome for the purpose of determining what Catholicism and Islam have in common is a scenario that blends itself to the prophetic scenario found in Bible prophecy.

As a result of the controversial statements made about Islam at a university in Germany by Pope Benedict, the Vatican has agreed to an annual forum between Catholics and Moslems to be held in Rome for the purpose of returning to the roots of faith and determining what Catholicism and Islam have in common. This is a task that even the Pope and the 138 Islamic scholars will find very difficult to accomplish.

For example, the Koran, the Islamic holy book, says that Jesus Christ never died on a cross in Jerusalem and thus, He never resurrected from the dead. The Bible says that Jesus Christ died, was buried and rose from the dead which proved He was who He says He was, the Saviour. The Koran says that Allah, the Islamic god did not have a son. The Bible, in I John 4, says that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has come in the flesh and those that deny that He is the Son of God are of the spirit of Antichrist, I John 4:3.

A summit to discuss faith that cannot agree on these two doctrines is doomed to fail and will indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

As the global economy copes with the sub prime crisis, fall of the dollar and oil at over $100 a barrel, now comes the inflationary surge in food cost

World economic centers are reporting grim news for everyone as the global economy is almost to cope with the sub prime crisis, the fall of the dollar's value around the world and the price of oil at over $100 per barrel. There is the news that the inflationary surge in the cost of food could be the final straw.

Food costs, which now dwarfs the rise in oil prices, is the result of three separate factors: the overall population increase, the emerging economies like China and India with their food needs and the short-sighted government subsidies for bio-fuels which is eroding the amount of crops available for eating.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

As the global economy today faces many crises, the inflationary surge in the cost of food is the one crisis that has a connection to the End Times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

The rapid rise in the cost of food around the world is having an important effect on our world today with word coming that it can only worse. Pakistan, for instance, has reintroduced food rationing cards, while at the same time China and Russia are imposing price controls on food. In the US, food future markets recently set the cost of wheat at $24 per bushel, a price that was $3 per bushel some four years ago and the price of wheat has doubled already this year. Though many analysts say it is a political problem the world faces rather than a food shortage, the truth is that is will become a problem predicted by Bible prophecy.

Jesus Christ, in His Olivet Discourse given in Jerusalem just before His crucifixion 2,000 years ago said one of the signs of His return to Earth would be people coping with famine around the world. John, the Revelator, in Revelation 6:5-6, said that food prices in the Last Days would rise to where it would take a day's wages to buy enough wheat to feed a family of four for one day.

No matter what the cause is for the inflationary surge in food cost, the stage is being set for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The leaders of France and Germany have agreed on expansion of the EU into the Middle East and Northern Africa

French President Nicholas Sarkozy and his German counterpart Angela Merkel have reached an agreement on the expansion of the EU with both leaders referring to the friendship between the two countries after months of cool relations.

The two leaders have patched up their differences on France's proposed union of the Mediterranean countries with Chancelor Merkel referring to the project as the Mediterranean Union, a project of all 27 member states of th e EU.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The expansion of the EU to include additional nations around the Mediterranean Coast, nations included in the old Roman Empire, would set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

There has been opposition among EU member states led by German Chancellor Angela Merkel which had caused a breakdown in relations between the major forces in the EU, Germany and France. This disagreement has now been cleared up and Chancellor Merkel is willing to lead an effort to bring this about which would move closer to including Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Israel and Egypt in the EU. If this Mediterranean Union does materialize and then merge with the 27 member states of the EU, there would be a political, economic, governmental and military union that geographically is the same as the old Roman Empire 2000 years ago.

The ancient Jewish prophet Daniel was given a prophecy that calls for just such a scenario, a revival of the old Roman Empire to form a union that will be led by a very powerful one world leader, Daniel 7:7-8, 23-25. The revived Roman Empire will become the strongest political union in the world and will bring to power its leader, the Antichrist who will bring peace to the Middle East, howbeit a very short-lived pseudo peace as foretold in Daniel 9:27.

The progress being made by French President Sarkozy and now assisted by Germany's Chancellor Merkel does indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Iranian President Ahmadinejad has made a historic visit to Iraq

Iranian President Ahmadinejad received a warm welcome in Baghdad, Iraq on the first ever visit to Iraq by an Iranian President. This visit marking the culmination of a process of normalization between the two countries after the eight year long war they fought back in the 1980's.

At a joint news conference with Iraqi President Talabani, the Iranian President said that his visit to Iraq opened a new page in the Iraqi-Iranian relations and that the two nations were determined to strengthen their political and economic cooperation, adding that a united and powerful Iraq is in the interest of all countries in the region.

The Iraqi President Talabani, who warmly greeted the Iranian President, said that Ahmadinejad's visit to Iraq was truly an historic event.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The visit of an Iranian President to Iraq is not only an historic event, but a prophetic event as well.

Iranian President Ahmadinejad's state visit to Iraq, the first ever by an Iranian President, marks the end of normalization for the two Middle Eastern nations who fought an eight year long war that resulted in the deaths of millions of Iraqi's and Iranian's.

During Ahmadinejad's visit he called for the United States military to withdraw from Iraq so that this war-torn nation could rebuild itself and become a major power in the region.

President Ahmadinejad's counterpart in Iraq is President Talabani who you may recall is not only the President of Iraq but also the leader of the Kurdish people of Iraq. Let me remind you that the Iranians of today are the Persians of Biblical times. And the Kurds of northern Iraq are the Medes of Biblical times, the Medes and the Persians.

Ahmadinejad spoke prophetic words as he called for Iraq to become an economic and political powerhouse in the region. That's exactly what Bible prophecy says will happen. Iraq today was Babylon in Biblical times and will become the economic, political, governmental capital of the world in the last days.

Revelation 18 reveals this scenario, a scenario that calls for the world leader during that time to be the antichrist, who will set up his headquarters in Iraq or Biblical Babylon, only to have it destroyed in one hour, Revelation 18: 10, 17 and 19 and also Revelation 16:17-20.

By the way, the Medes will assist in that destruction and that's found in Jeremiah 51:11. The Medes in this passage are the Kurds of today. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
