An Iranian official says his country will blow up the heart of Israel

A top official with Iran's most powerful military force, the Revolutionary Guard, says that Iran will blow up the heart of Israel if US or Israeli missiles land in Iran. This latest statement by Iranian officials comes on the heels of similar remarks made by Iran's Deputy Army Chief last march warning that his country will eliminate Israel if it attacks the Islamic republic.

The army chief also said that Israel was very vulnerable and he dismissed allegations that Iran was worried about any Israeli maneuvers or preemptive strike against Iran's nuclear program.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The threat by Iran to blow up the heart of Israel is another threat to the Jewish state that was predicted thousands of years ago in Bible prophecy.

The latest threat to blow up the heart of Israel is only one of many coming from the present Iranian regime. Iran's Prime Minister Ahmadinejad's call for Israel to be wiped off the Earth has been heard around the world and is unprecedented among world leaders. To have a nation's leadership threaten the existence of another nation with its total elimination should have been immediately challenged by all world leaders. Instead, most world leaders want to sit and talk with the political and military of the nation threatening to take such a horrific action.

Any student of Bible prophecy however should not be surprised with the radical rhetoric and possible dastardly actions. The ancient Jewish prophets said that Israel would be under attack fighting for its very existence. Daniel and Ezekiel mentioned an alignment of nations that will try to eliminate Israel (Daniel 11 and Ezekiel 38). The prophet Joel wrote of a mighty militia being formed to attack Israel as well (Joel 2:3-4). John the Revelator revealed that even the angelic world be unleashed to try and destroy the Jewish people in the last days (Revelation 12:13-17). Satan knows that if he can eliminate the Jewish people God then fails to keep His promises of a Jewish people and a Jewish nation forever.

Iran's most recent threat to blow up the heart of Israel is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
