Israeli PM Netanyahu wins the support of US Congress for peace in the Middle East

Listen to Today's Program Play

Israeli PM Netanyahu addressing the joint sessions of the US Congress told them that if the Palestinians will recognize Israel's right to be a nation in the Middle East, there will be a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and peace in the Middle East.

Netanyahu said Israel is ready to recognize a Palestinian state alongside the Jewish state and all the issues will be dealt with as the two sides forge an agreement for two peoples to live in one land. However, the Israeli prime minister did declare that Jerusalem is the undivided, eternal capital of the Jewish people and will remain so now and forever.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The fact that an Israel prime minister can address the joint houses of US Congress is a testimony to the world that Bible prophecy has been fulfilled and will be fulfilled in the future.

Israeli PM Netanyahu addressed US Congress in a joint session of both houses and brought these law makers to their feet in approval of an Israeli official who not only stated the obvious but also addressed the tough issues that must be dealt with in order to bring resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The Israeli PM said that he and his country are ready to accept a Palestinian state and all that needs to be done for a resolution of this conflict is for the Palestinians to recognize the rights of the Jews to have a state also in the Middle East.

The political significance of Netanyahu's speech to the US Congress is great, but the prophetic significance of an Israeli PM addressing Congress is very powerful. It is solid evidence that Bible prophecy, like the "dry bones" prophecy of Ezekiel 37 has been partially fulfilled. The offer by the Israelis and the rejection by the Palestinians is also evidence of potential for fulfillment of other prophecies written by the ancient Jewish prophets, prophets like Malachi that says the Palestinians, Edomites of biblical times, would come to claim a state in the last days, Malachi 1. Obadiah wrote that there would be a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but only when Jesus Christ returns to the earth.

The Israeli prime minister addressing US Congress is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
