In the aftermath of the UN ceasefire imposed on Israel and Hezbollah, Palestinian officials are speaking out about the future. One such official is the Palestinian Authority Information Minister who said that "the war taught us that resistance should be a key factor in resolving the problems of Lebanon and Palestine."
The Palestinian official said the defeat of the Israeli Defense Force in Lebanon "marks the beginning of the end of the Zionist project." The Zionist project is the effort to bring Jews from around the world back to their homeland.

During that time, over 5,000 Jews from North America and Europe made Aliyah. Aliyah is the Hebrew term for immigrating to Israel. The day after the PA official announced the death of Zionism, there were 800 Jews from North America who came to live in the land of Israel.
The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel wrote that at the time of the end, Jews that have been scattered across the world for almost 2,000 years would be regathered. In Ezekiel 34, God says 18 different times that He will gather the Jews from where ever they are and gather them together in the land of their forefathers.
Ezekiel 35 reveals that the people of Mt. Seer, (the Edomites of the past, the Palestinians of today), would kill the Jews and take their land. Ezekiel 36:5 says that they will do this with a "joyful heart" and a "despiteful mind."
Zionism is not over, the Palestinian official is correct. The prophetic scenario of the Jews gathering together in the land of Israel will be fulfilled.
