There is a growing number of prophecy teachers that do not believe that the Bible is the final authority for future events

Listen to Today's Program Play

Recently at Pike's Peak in Colorado there was a prophecy conference that used a new approach to teaching Bible prophecy. Our broadcast partner David James explains the term which refers to the new approach, the term "Post-modern prophetic paradigm".

David James: When we talk about post modernism in general we're talking about moving into a realm of philosophy and thought where there are no absolutes, that there are many sources of relative truth, that you can look to multiple places to try to get your ideas, truth can be found in any number of places and also isn't just simply something that's objective, that would be post modern.

Then, they are combining these ideas into trying to develop a prophetic view of the future eschatology, end times. There's a convergence of a lot of different strands. A paradigm is simply a model. There's an emerging model of the future eschatology trying to combine ideas from the Bible, from ancient civilizations, from bio technology, just a number of different strands they're trying to put together to layout a potential future scenario.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

False teachers departing from God's Word to teach Bible prophecy is actually setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The new approach to teaching Bible prophecy, a post-modern prophetic paradigm goes outside the boundaries of the Word of God, Genesis 1:1-Revelation 22:21, and they go outside of these boundaries in an effort to bring information to the table in their teachings of Bible prophecy. This allows for another spirit, the spirit of Satan to influence their thinking. The Apostle Peter wrote 2000 years ago that we have a more sure Word of prophecy, the Bible, II Peter 1:19. In II Peter 2:1 the Apostle says that in the last days there will be false teachers.

Those teaching Bible prophecy with a new paradigm are actually setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Pope Francis says that the world should not judge gay people

Listen to Today's Program Play

Pope Francis when asked about the gay lobby in the Vatican responded with the statement that we should not judge gay people but instead integrate them into society. Our broadcast partner Mike Gendron in Dallas, TX reports what the official stand on sodomy is in the Catholic church.

Mike Gendron: The cataclysm of the Catholic church does not condemn homosexuality outright, it merely teaches that homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered. So that's one of the problems. This homosexual problem within Rome will continue until the issue of celibacy is looked at. The Roman Catholic church needs recognize that as long as it forbids its clergy people to marry that they are going to have to have some form of sexual expression and oftentimes this results in homosexuality.

There's an ongoing problem and I think what's happening here in the Vatican is really the tip of the iceberg because in 2002 there is a book that really exposed much of the scandal and perversions that are taking place in Catholic seminaries. The book is entitled "Goodbye Good Men" by author Michael Rose, and he said in his book according to former seminarians and recently ordained priests that this gay subculture is so prominent at certain seminaries that these institutions have earned nicknames. It has been said that over half of the Roman Catholic priests are now homosexuals and seminaries are but a proven ground for them to come out and put on a collar and hide their sinful condition.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Sodomy, homosexuality in the Catholic church is a sign that Jesus is about to return to the earth, that is according to Bible prophecy.

Jesus warned in Luke 17:28 that He would return to the earth when our society was like the days of Lot 4000 years ago. In that day, sodomy, homosexuality was prevalent in Sodom and Gomorrah. Men were having sexual relationships with other men. Our society today is once again immersed in sodomy approved by many people even the leaders of our nation. who commit sodomy and even those who approve of it. The Apostle Paul wrote that God rejects this lifestyle of sodomy, homosexuality and will judge those who commit sodomy and even those who approve of it, Romans 1:24-32.

Open homosexuality in the Catholic church is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The crisis continues with the pro-Egyptian military forces and the pro-Mohammed Morsi forces in a standoff in Cairo

Listen to Today's Program Play

Pro-military forces and pro-Morsi forces are at a standoff in Cairo, Egypt. Moment by moment, things are changing in that part of the world. Supporters of the ousted Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi have defied threats of removal from their sit-in protest there at the mosque. They continue their protest there in Cairo even in light of the dozens of Muslim Brotherhood supporters who have died in a clash with the Egyptian security forces.

World leaders have reacted to the deaths of the Morsi supporters, the Muslim Brotherhood, and the reports are out of Cairo that these deaths come from the military using live fire to disperse the Muslim Brotherhood demonstrators. The Muslim Brotherhood vows to go to civil war if the former president Mohammed Morsi is not reinstated as president of Egypt.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The crisis situation in Cairo, Egypt is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

As the pro-Egyptian military forces stand face to face with the pro-Mohammed Morsi supporters, the Muslim Brotherhood, there is a crisis that is developing that could become very explosive and there could be a civil war in this the largest of the Arab countries in the world.

Bible prophecy speaks of how Egypt will be a major player in the end times. When you go to Daniel 11:40-43, you see that the King of the North would be talking about Syria in the North of Israel and the King of the South would be Egypt at Israel's southern border. These two nations will make the first move in an alignment of nations to try to wipe out the Jewish state of Israel. You must continue to remember an alignment of nations will come together to try to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. This will happen in the Tribulation Period after the Rapture of the Church.

In essence, it happens in the first six months of the Tribulation Period when Ezekiel 38, Psalm 83, and Daniel 11:40-43 will come into play. Now, this is important for you to understand as we continue to watch what is happening: the civil war there at the northern border with Israel in the nation of Syria and how the Islamic Jihadists are coming into that part of the world and at the same time at Israel's southern border with this crisis going on in Egypt and the desire by the Muslim Brotherhood to reinstate their leader as president of Egypt, thus there may ensue a civil war between these two factions which is a part of that end times scenario found in Bible prophecy.

With what is going on in Cairo, Egypt today it indeed does seem like the stage is being set for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Pope Francis has used his leadership role to change the Roman Catholic church

Listen to Today's Program Play

In his leadership role as Pope of the billion plus Catholic worshipers, Pope Francis now leads this 2,000-year-old church into the future differently than any previous Pope due to the fact that he is a Jesuit. The world continues to watch Pope Francis implement his style of leadership with a mission to expand the outreach of Catholicism and to enlarge the total number of the Catholic worshipers to the worldwide church.

Since the Jesuits are the militant arm of the Catholic church with a desire to see the world convert, only time will tell how successful Pope Francis will be with his mission as leader of the church.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The leadership of Pope Francis will set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Pope Francis, the first Jesuit to ever lead the Catholic church as Pope, brings to his leadership role a desire to convert all the world to Catholicism. The Jesuits, founded in 1540 AD were brought together as a counter reformation movement. They want to turn back the reformation of Luther and Knox and bring all non-Catholics back into the fold. They have an eschatology that believes that all the world will one day be of the Catholic church and then Jesus Christ will come back to rule this worldwide kingdom that they have set up.

True biblical eschatology, which is a study of the end times, states that the false church that will be headquartered in Rome, Italy the seven mountain city will indeed come to power in the first half of the coming Tribulation Period, Revelation 17. This ecclesiastical Babylon will be led by the Antichrist who is referred to as the Beast some eight times in Revelation 17. Revelation 17:16 reveals that the world leaders, the revived Roman Empire, will rise up and destroy the false church and give their power worldwide dominion to the Antichrist, Revelation 17:17 which indicates that the Lord Himself will put into the hearts and minds of these world leaders to accomplish His will. This will then open the opportunity for the Antichrist to rule a worldwide economic Babylon yet in the future.

The mass majority of Israeli Jews want a Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem

Listen to Today's Program Play

A recent survey in Israel reveals the desire of the Jewish people both the religious and secular Jews who want a Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Our broadcast partner, Yoel Keren in Jerusalem has this report for us.

Yoel Keren: Just this last week, major newspapers in Israel, I couldn't believe it, I picked up the paper and I see a large picture of the Temple Mount and it was a new set of surveys of how many people want a Temple on the Temple Mount, how many people believe it's important for Jews to be visiting the Temple Mount. Unbelievably, the percentage of secular, non religious Jews that want Jews on the Temple Mount, that want a Temple is a greater percentage than the Ultra-Orthodox who want the Temple and want Jews on the Temple Mount.

That may be hard to understand, but for an Israeli, he understands the way the Ultra-Orthodox mind thinks and how he believes everything must stay exactly as it is and never change, the Temple is a very frightening thing for him and he doesn't want to think about it. He wants to believe that when the Messiah comes He'll bring the Temple with Him from Heaven or something like that. It may very well be that just as the state of Israel was initially built up by the secular, the Temple may well come about through the same means.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

According to a recent survey taken among both religious and secular Jews in Israel, it was revealed that the mass majority want a Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem  which is an end time scenario found in Bible prophecy.

According to Bible prophecy, there will be a Temple in Jerusalem, Zechariah 6:12 which says that the Messiah will build a Temple on the Temple Mount, that will be during the Kingdom Period, that thousand year period of time when the Messiah, Jesus Christ comes to rule on  the earth. However, other Jewish prophets foretell of a Temple before that Kingdom and that is talking about a Temple that will stand there during the Tribulation Period, Daniel 9:27 also Matthew 24:15 where Jesus said when you see the Abomination of Desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, flee for the wilderness. The Apostle Paul wrote also in II Thessalonians 2:4 there will be a Temple where the Antichrist will enter and John the Revelator says that it will happen in the Tribulation Period, Revelation 11:1-2.

This recent survey says that Jews want a Temple in Jerusalem and indeed this is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The Neo-Nazi Movement in Europe is growing and they could become terrorist organizations

Listen to Today's Program Play

German police have moved against Neo-Nazi groups in not only Germany but across Europe as well to stop them from becoming terrorist organizations. Dr. Rob Congdon has a report on this very frightening development.

Dr. Rob Congdon:  They have spearheaded a group that has raided premises in Germany, Switzerland and Netherlands, so yes it's certainly beyond just Germany. There has been concern growing and more and more awareness of these Neo-Nazi groups that may become true terrorists to Europe. It's much more far reaching than the size of the groups that exist today because we have to remember Europe still has a large population of their young people who are unemployed, who are restless, who are getting disillusioned that the EU is going to solve their problems. Those are the very types of people that this far right group appeals to.

So, while today's steps certainly will counter and minimize the effect of these Neo-Nazi groups, the potential is there for them to mobilize larger groups and you're right that's going to directly effect not only the German government but the Jewish people in Europe will start facing the things or fearing the things that happened so long ago, every time that word Nazi comes up it brings back terrible memories. It is a danger, the government has reacted, we just have to see now if they can keep this under control.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Neo-Nazi groups in Europe are growing and at the point of becoming terrorist organizations which is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Seventy years ago, the Nazi's under the leadership of Adolf Hitler tried to eliminate all Jews from Europe and in fact around the world with the Holocaust. This dastardly activity is resurfacing and could lead to a second Holocaust. That is the scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for the last days.

The ancient Jewish prophet Zechariah wrote 2500 years ago that there would be a second Holocaust with two out of every three Jews being killed, that would be twice the number of Jews killed during the WWII Holocaust, Zechariah 13:8. The second Holocaust will take place during the seven year Tribulation Period, the Time of Jacob's Trouble, Jeremiah 30:7.

With Neo-Nazis in Europe growing and moving to the point where they will become terrorists, the scenario is set for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

A Muslim cleric has called for the destruction of the US and the EU and a Muslim kingdom to be setup in Jerusalem

Listen to Today's Program Play

The Friday sermon by a radical Muslim cleric in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount has the world paying attention. The cleric stated that Islam will destroy the US and the EU and setup an Islamic kingdom in Jerusalem. David Dolan, longtime journalist in Jerusalem reports to us about this provocative statement

David Dolan: Definitely provocative Jimmy but it's something we have been hearing not necessarily from the site of the ancient Jewish Temple itself but certainly from many mosques around the region. We have had such calls made before, I don't know that it ever included a call for the destruction of the US though. It's considered of course officially one of 13 holy sites, Mecca of course being number 1 in Arabia, Medina where Mohammed was buried number 2, and then Jerusalem is ranked 3.

They believe that their triumph what the Koran says, the triumph of Islam over the infidels over Judaism and Christianity and other faiths, the fact that Mohammed is the final prophet as they see it, etc. as written out in the Koran and that was all proof to be the case by their conquest of Jerusalem soon after Mohammed's death. That site's very important. This is just another step towards that worldwide move to bring in a caliphate and to unite all of the Arab-Muslim countries under one banner, provocative and it's something Israel has to keep a close eye on and so does the rest of the world.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The call for an Islamic kingdom headquartered in Jerusalem is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Islamic eschatology does call for a worldwide kingdom that will be based in Jerusalem. The Mahdi, Arabic for messiah, will rule this Islamic caliphate, a worldwide Islamic kingdom from Jerusalem. The Biblical Kingdom will be setup in Jerusalem according to Zechariah 1:16 when Jesus Christ comes back. He will come to Jerusalem, build His Temple, and then He will rule and reign from that Temple, Zechariah 6:13. He will do that in fulfillment of the Davidic Covenant, a promise to King David that there will be a Kingdom forever on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, II Samuel 7.

The Islamic call for a kingdom in Jerusalem is simply setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Support for the Syrian opposition is drying up as Islamists fight each other for control of the opposition to be able to bring down Bashar Assad

Listen to Today's Program Play

World leaders have wavered on supporting the Syrian rebels and now more so than ever because of the infighting going on in the opposition. Ken Timmerman out of Washington, D.C. tells us that Great Britain has made a decision not to support the rebels in Syria and others may well be falling in line with that decision as well.

Ken Timmerman: People kind of wake up to what's going on inside the rebel camp. It's now split up into two or three actually warring factions, three if you count the Kurds in addition to the Islamists and the Free Syrian Army. Last week, the Islamists murdered two of the leaders of the Free Syrian Army and have threatened to do a lot more and this is going to be frankly an open war inside the rebel camp at the same time that Assad, the Syrian President, and his allies Hezbollah, Iran, and Russia have solidified their alliance. So the opposition is fragmented, fighting amongst itself and the Syrian government is solid. In that context, Britain is taking a second look at their earlier desire to arm the rebels and they are beginning to wonder that now just might not be the time. They are afraid that the weapons will fall into the hands of the Islamists.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

It does not matter whether the Syrian rebels or the Assad government wins in the Syrian civil war, either way, Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Because of the infighting among the Syrian rebels, the Assad government seems to be winning the civil war in Syria. Bible prophecy reveals that either side can win and the prophecy of the ancient Jewish prophet Daniel will be fulfilled. Syria will attack the Jewish state as the first of many nations align themselves against the Jewish state of Israel to destroy this state, Daniel 11:40 where Syria is referred to as the King of the North. The other nations will come along and join Syria in their efforts to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, Daniel 11:40-43, Ezekiel 38, and Psalm 83.

It doesn't really matter who wins the war in Syria because Bible prophecy will indeed be fulfilled.

The Jewish people were created in the land of Israel and a recent archaeological discovery proves that fact

Listen to Today's Program Play

A recent archaeological discovery in Shiloh, Israel which is in the center part of the state of Israel in the area of Judea and Samaria reveals that Biblical history has been confirmed. A former mayor of Shiloh, Winkie Medad speaks of the significance of this archaeological find.

Winkie Medad: Well, in the political sense we're facing a major onslaught by either politicians, Atheists, or Agnostics who seek to negate anything that the Bible says. Therefore, to confirm in general, the Biblical narrative that when the Bible says someone was here, or an attack was made, or a defense was made, or priests serviced and worshiped at the Temple, or a king ruled, these are elements that are not from the ancient past in a mythological sense, but they actually happened.

For us it is very important because we believe and I think many good thinking people know that the Jewish people were created in the land of Israel, their culture, their religion, their history, and their future is bound up with this land. If we can confirm as much as possible the Biblical narrative it means that people who want to take away our national ethos are simply wrong. The element of uncovering one's past is always connected with realizing one's future. We know that the Arabs are very anxious about this because they have created a parallel universe in an attempt to create or invent for themselves an identity which has nothing to do with the reality.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Jewish people created in the land of Israel speaks to the history but also the future of the Jewish state according to Bible prophecy.

The Israeli community of Shiloh located in Judea and Samaria dates back 3500 years to the time of the Tabernacle which was in Shiloh and housed the Ark of the Covenant, Joshua 18 and I Samuel 4. Shiloh is today a Jewish settlement which is indeed evidence of the fulfillment of Ezekiel 36 which is the promise of God to give the Jewish people their land in the last days.

This archaeological find of the location of the Tabernacle 3500 years ago gives confirmation to Biblical history, but it also sets the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The British government fears a chemical catastrophe if Bashar Assad President of Syria should fall from power

Listen to Today's Program Play

The British government fears a chemical catastrophe if indeed the Assad government should fall in Syria. I have more on this story from our broadcast partner Ken Timmerman in Washington, D.C.

Ken Timmerman: Assad has seemingly kept his chemical weapons under wraps. The reports that he had used them in combat have been pretty much debunked at least by the EU which does not share the US assessment. They believe it was the Jihadists, the rebel fighters who used chemical weapons on the battlefield. Everybody wants to know where those weapons are, who is going to get them if Assad falls, who is going to make sure the repositories, the weapons depots are secure. Israel has threatened to take them out if need be. The US has said they will do something about it.

The estimates that I have seen are pretty massive. It would require a massive US force, something like 7500 soldiers to secure all of those chemical weapons depots in Syria. That is how big Assad's arsenal is. This is a very, very real fear and it is highly likely some of those weapons will leak at the end of the conflict. He has special forces who are in charge of the chemical weapons depots. He has been moving them around at certain points to make the West and Israel afraid, but we just don't know how secure they are and that's the real problem.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A Middle East catastrophe could happen if one of the Middle East terror organizations was able to get a hold of the Syrian arsenal of chemical weapons of mass destruction which is the largest in the world.

Bashar Assad today controls the largest chemical weapon of mass destruction arsenal in the world. This is of great concern should the arsenal fall into the hands of a Middle Eastern terror group. In fact, the prophetic passage found in Isaiah 17 could be fulfilled. The ancient Jewish prophet Isaiah wrote 2500 years ago that Damascus will be destroyed in the last days. This vast chemical weapons of mass destruction arsenal could indeed be used to fulfill Isaiah's prophecy.

Whether it is chemical weapons of mass destruction that destroy Damascus, we do know Bible prophecy will indeed be fulfilled.

Noah's Ark is up and operating, not in Mount Ararat but the Netherlands

Listen to Today's Program Play

After a twenty-year quest to build a full-scale functioning model of Noah's Ark, an undertaking of what some call Biblical proportions, a Dutchman, Johan Huibers has finished his lifelong project and the Ark towers across the Dutch landscape.

Huibers, a Christian, used the Biblical book of Genesis 6-9 as his inspiration following the instructions that God gave Noah right down to the last cubit.

Huibers said that his motivation for building Noah's Ark was religious, he wants to make people think and ask questions so they will have to go looking for answers and ultimately find salvation and eternal life in God.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Noah's Ark has been built and is on display not on Mount Ararat but in the Netherlands and it is a testimony to Biblical history as well as Biblical prophecy.

Johan Huibers, a builder by trade, started twenty years ago to build Noah's Ark, a full-scale model of what Biblical Noah built 4500 years ago. Huibers has finished his project and now in the Dutch lowlands, Noah's Ark is a testimony of one Christian's desire to reach out to the world with Biblical truth. Huibers' model of Noah's Ark can float and its builder is considering sailing this sea craft around Europe and even possibly a transatlantic cruise to America. This project is a testimony to the historic Biblical account found in Genesis 6-9 and was the building plan for the project. This full-scale model of Noah's Ark is tangible evidence that there was a way to build a ship that could contain the animals on earth, each kind of animal, and save them from the worldwide Flood of Noah's day 4500 years ago.

In addition to its historic significance, Noah's Ark has a prophetic significance as well. Jesus, in His Olivet Discourse, Matthew 24, spoke of the Days of Noah and he referred to His second coming which would be similar to the times of Noah. We do not have the time to explain all that statement means, but for sure it speaks of a time of sexual immorality, disregard for the things of God, and failure to repent even in the face of coming judgment.

A model of Noah's Ark should cause all of us to understand these words of Jesus and realize that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Jews around the world are praying for a Temple to be rebuilt in Jerusalem within the next year

Listen to Today's Program Play

Today is Tish B' Av, the ninth day of the Jewish month of Av, the date in history when both the first and second temples were destroyed. Rabbi Yoel Keren in Jerusalem tells us that the Jews mourn over these destructions but also are praying for a Temple to be rebuilt by next year at this time.

Rabbi Yoel Keren: Well that is really the question now. The question is why are we doing this? Has the mourning and the sitting on the floor and the reading Lamentations, has it become a goal in and of itself or are we doing it for a reason, are we doing it to motivate ourselves to get back and find the will of God and seek His will, and seek to be with Him and to do what He wants of us or has we just become used to the mourning and that in itself is the goal? That is the question.

That is what we are trying to get people to realize. The Temple Institute just put out a new video that is a feed of all the people sitting on the floor in the synagogue on the ninth of Av, they are all mourning and the rabbi is up there, he is crying and the children are in a room to the side and one boy stands up and points at a picture of the Temple and starts to talk to the other children and the kids all have these toy tool belts,  they all strap on these tool belts and they all walk out and pull their fathers up off the floor and say come let's go build it! That is the question the Jewish people are beginning to ask themselves. God willing they will come to the right conclusion soon.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

As the Jews pray for the next Temple to be rebuilt in Jerusalem, they have already prepared everything for construction to begin on that Temple.

For over 25 years, men who claim to be Jewish priests who will be able to operate the Temple have been studying to do the duties of the next Temple. They have prepared all the implements, they have a red heifer, they know exactly where the Ark of the Covenant is, they are ready to rebuild the Temple as Bible prophecy calls for them to do in Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4, and Revelation 11:1,2. These passages of Scripture tell us that there will indeed be a Temple on the Temple Mount in the Tribulation Period, that seven years of judgment yet to come which begins right after the Rapture of the Church.

With everything ready to build the next Temple on the Temple mount in Jerusalem, indeed Bible prophecy is ready to be fulfilled.

As we look at geopolitical events unfolding in our world today there is evidence that this world is ready for something spectacular to happen

Listen to Today's Program Play

In our wold today, we see events happening that seem to be somewhat of a stage setter for something catastrophic or spectacular to happen, something that could happen which would indeed change the entire earth's future.

In the Middle East, Egypt is involved in one crisis after another. The civil war in Syria brings more death to Syrians on a daily basis and the Jewish state of Israel is under a political attack especially from the Palestinians.

If you take a look to the far East, the prospects that China and India with a total of one-third of the earth's population and both of these nations increasing daily in population, wealth, and military preparedness, they both are becoming somewhat of a superpower in our world today.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Geopolitical activities and current events in our world today are setting the stage for what some call a catastrophic event to happen but is in reality only a part of the end of times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

If you are a watcher of geopolitical activities and current events and at the same time familiar with Bible prophecy, you will be able to recognize that our world is on the fast track to the scenario that is found in the pages of Bible prophecy. As a student of Bible prophecy and what I call a news junkie, I do recognize that this world is very close to the last days scenario that is found in the pages of Bible prophecy. The far East is quickly putting in place their economic and military preparedness in order to become nations that would be included in the superpowers of this world.

This was actually foretold by John the Revelator when he wrote about the impact of the Kings of the East in Revelation 16:12. Europe and the EU with all of their economic struggles are working to put in place an economic structure that is described in Bible prophecy, Daniel 7:23-24 and Revelation 18.

In the Middle East with the radicalism prevalent in both Syria and Egypt to the North and to the South of the Jewish state of Israel, one can understand better the pre-written history written by Daniel the prophet in Daniel 11:40-43 and see how this world will indeed see catastrophic, spectacular events in the near future.

The Israeli government will one day build a Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem

Listen to Today's Program Play

Recently, the President of the PA, Mahmoud Abbas said that the Israeli government is getting ready to build a Temple on the Temple Mount. I ask our broadcast partner in Jerusalem, Rabbi Yoel Keren would the Israeli government really build a Temple on the Temple Mount today.

Rabbi Yoel Keren: One day they will. So, the answer is yes and no. On the one hand, yes it is very foolish, very insightful the things that he is saying. He is hanging on to what little bit of power and money he has by a thread and he is trying to bolster himself. This is a typical tactic we know that they use whenever they feel they are in trouble, they feel it helps rally people to their side to scream out about the Al Aqsa Mosque and things like that. So, on one hand, yes that is true, on the other hand as you know I have traditionally said I wish there was a Jewish government that wanted to build the Temple, unfortunately there is not. Just today or yesterday a statement was made by the Housing and Infrastructure Minister Yuri Ariel.

He said we've done a lot of building, we've build a lot of buildings, we've built a lot of small temples, which is a term in Hebrew that is used as the nickname for synagogue. It is like we have created these small temples for ourselves even though they are not temples, and there is only one Temple. He says we've created a lot of small temples, but that is not what we want. We do not want buildings that look like temples. We do not want buildings that we nickname temples. We want to build the Temple on the Temple Mount. This is a cabinet member, the minister of housing, building, and infrastructure. In all the conversations that we have had about this over the years and you have asked me, is the Israeli government ready to build the Temple, is there an Israeli government that would be in favor of building the Temple on the Temple Mount, and I have always told you unfortunately no. Now, you ask me this question and I have to say maybe.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Jewish activists preparing to rebuild a Temple in Jerusalem is actually setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Though the Israeli government is not ready to build a Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, there are those that have made preparations to rebuild the Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount. God's Word does say that this will happen, Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4, and Rev 11:1-2.

The accusations by the Palestinian leader that the Israeli government is preparing to build a Temple on the Temple Mount are actually false. However, there are Jews that are preparing to build that Temple and all the preparations are finished indicating that Bible prophecy will indeed be fulfilled.

The EU has added the 28th member state with a possibility of many more states to be added to this economic political power

Listen to Today's Program Play

Croatia has become the 28th member state of the EU and the EU says they may add additional member states in the future. Broadcast partner Dr. Rob Congdon says that the addition of Croatia to the EU member states is significant, but he also says that they will need to develop a core group to give direction to this economic political power in the future.

Dr. Rob Congdon: It is going to be a pragmatic solution I think. What you have, and we can already see it, the commission is the main power, 28 members are in the commission, the main power, directing power of the EU. They have already said it is getting difficult. They do not want to be like a parliament with several hundred members. They want to have just the key leadership and 28 is a lot to coordinate, if you get up to 109 it is impossible. What I believe is pragmatically as some have already started suggesting is we have to develop an inner core of countries to be the guidance of the EU.

When they were originally designed, the original plan of the EU was to have what they called the higher authority, and this was a very limited group that would have the ultimate power of the EU. With each new member, the pressure is going to grow to say how do we reduce it and we have said before one of the favorite numbers in the EU is based on the number 10. So, obviously I suggest they will break into geographic regions and be ten regions with their commissioner or leader of the high authority in those ten.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The fact that the EU may setup a core leadership group of ten member states sounds very similar to the prophetic scenario for the end times that is found in Bible prophecy.

As the EU continues to grow, it becomes more and more like what will be the infrastructure for the revived Roman Empire. Daniel 7:7, 23, 24 are verses in Bible prophecy foretelling of a governmental and economic power in place during the seven year Tribulation Period.

The recent addition of Croatia to the EU member states is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The fall of the Egyptian government has weakened militant Islam including the Palestinian terror group Hamas

Listen to Today's Program Play

There are many ramifications to the fall of the Egyptian government including a weakening of militant Islam. Middle East expert and our broadcast partner here on Prophecy Today, David Dolan evaluates these events as it relates to the Palestinian terror group Hamas.

David Dolan: It is being seen in Israel generally and this is by mostly commentators and experts on the region, not coming officially from the government or government leaders, but the commentaries are saying this development weakens political Islam, militant Islam in every aspect especially in the Sunni Muslim side of things which the Egyptians are. As you have pointed out, Hamas comes out of the Muslim Brotherhood movement and has been supported by it. He has not been upfront in his backing of Hamas, but it is known that it is there and it certainly was welcomed in the Gaza Strip when the Muslim Brotherhood won the parliamentary elections in Egypt first and then the presidential election.

This is a setback for them but of course as you know we have discussed many times they are getting their main source of arms from Iran in recent years, those weapons coming through Egypt and the Egyptian leaders seemingly looking the other way. It is thought that the army taking back over at least temporarily in Egypt will possibly halt that flow from Libya or at least reduce it and that is a positive thing. It is not going to stop Hamas from getting rockets and carrying out its attack on Israel. What would really do that is if the Assad regime is overthrown and Hezbollah is somehow corked in Lebanon, that would be a major strategic change and Hamas would be left even weaker if that happens.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Though weakened by the fall of the Egyptian government, Hamas - the Palestinian terror organization will continue to fight against Israel according to Bible prophecy.

Hamas is one of the radical Palestinian terror organizations of today. They are a part of the Palestinians who want all the land of Israel and will kill the Jews to get that land, Ezekiel 35:5, 10. God will not allow the Jewish people to be totally destroyed, but He will destroy the Palestinian terror organizations, those who reject His Word and try to annihilate His people, Obadiah 15-18.

Though weakened by the fall of the Egyptian government, Hamas will continue to play their role which is found in Bible prophecy.

Elections in Egypt - the result of political Islam - did not make the nation a democracy

Listen to Today's Program Play

Elections in the Islamic nations throughout the Middle East have failed to make these nations democracies, but instead they have developed political Islam. This phrase needs to be defined so I ask my broadcast partner in Washington, D.C. Ken Timmerman to define political Islam for us.

Ken Timmerman: Political Islam is what was ruling in Egypt, it is what is currently ruling in both Turkey and the Islamic Republic of Iran. It is what nominally is ruling in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and a number of other countries where the leadership has adopted shariah law as their constitution, essentially claims to be ruling as the substitutes on earth for Mohammad and the prophets of Islam. Islam is not a religion as Christianity is a religion or Judaism is a religion. It is an entire way of life. Muslims who are into shariah law who really believe in applying it know that shariah law governs all aspects of society from government, politics, our social settings, family life, inheritance, school, education, investment, the economy, you name it.

Islam covers everything and that is the problem, that is political Islam. Christianity gives us a moral system, Judaism gives us a moral system and a spiritual guide but does not claim to govern all our activities at least through direct rules, to make governing rules for all of our social and political activities, that is what political Islam does. I can remember a conversation I had with Natan Sharansky. Sharansky told me what he told the president. He said elections do not make a democracy. It is a culture of democracy. Elections are the last piece of the puzzle towards democracy from a tyranny and now in Egypt and in Hamas in the Gaza Strip, elections do not a democracy make.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Political Islam is a precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

The word Islam is not used any place in the Bible, however the nations that align themselves against the nation of Israel are Islamic in their religion. Islam wants to wipe Israel off the face of the earth that her name be forgotten forever, Psalm 83:4. Islamic nations will indeed align themselves to try to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, Ezekiel 38 and Daniel 11:40-43.

Political Islam is today setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled tomorrow.

The Intelligence Community says the US will be out as the sole superpower by 2030

Listen to Today's Program Play

The Intelligence Community has issued a report which projects that the US will no longer be the world's only superpower by 2030 and Asia will surpass North America and Europe combined with Asian population, military spending, and technological investment.

This report comes from the office of the Director of National Intelligence which states that the unipolar world that emerged after the fall of the Soviet Union will not continue.

Global trends project that the US will retain a role in the world in part because of its history and past leadership but nations like China, India, and Brazil are the rising world powers.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

With countries like China, India, and Brazil on the rise in our world today, the US will soon be reduced economically and militarily no longer to be the only superpower in our world which is a scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for the last days.

Many political pundits and world thinkers have said that the economic crisis which the US faces will play a key role in knocking the US out of superpower status. Militarily, China is quickly becoming an equal to the US and there are projections that China will overtake the US in military power in the near future. Students of Bible prophecy have for some years known that the US is not in Bible prophecy as a player in the last days. One suggestion is that at the Rapture of the Church, the US will be rendered weak since the backbone of America is the born again Christian who will leave at the Rapture, I Thessalonians 4:13-18.

Both China and India are included in the prophetic phrase, "Kings of the East" found in Revelation 16:12 and they will be key players at the end of the seven year Tribulation Period. Other nations in the Middle East will form a coalition of nations that align themselves to try to destroy the Jewish state of Israel at the beginning of the Tribulation, Ezekiel 38, Daniel 11, and Psalm 83. Between the Rapture which happens just before the Tribulation Period and the return of Jesus Christ at the end of that terrible time of trouble, much judgment will come upon the world including the nations already mentioned in this report as well as the US.

A Muslim preacher on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem says this sacred piece of real estate belongs to the Muslims and it will belong to them forever

Listen to Today's Program Play

Sheikh Yousef Salami, a Muslim preacher at Al Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, said that this sacred spot is an Islamic holy site as determined by the Creator of the world and as indicated in the Koran and shall belong to Muslims forever.

The sheikh's statement was in response to a ruling by Israel's attorney general that the Temple Mount in Jerusalem is part of Israeli territory and Israeli law applies to this holy site.

The Temple Mount was left in the hands of an Islamic Trust by the Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Dayan at the time of the reunification of Jerusalem during the Six Day War in 1967 and the Muslims have since then tried to remove every evidence of any Jewish presence at this Jewish holy site.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A statement by a Muslim preacher that the Temple Mount in Jerusalem is an Islamic holy site and will belong to the Muslims forever is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Shiekh Yosef Salami stated recently that the Temple Mount in Jerusalem belongs to the Muslims and will belong to them forever based on the Koran. The shiekh said that the holy site was an Islamic site so  determined by the Creator of the world. Since the reunification of Jerusalem during the Six Day War in 1967, the Islamic Trust has had custodial control of the Temple Mount but Israel claims sovereignty over this holy site. The Jews say that the Temple Mount is the most sacred site in all of Judaism which is backed up by God's Word, the Bible.

God promised Jewish King David this holy site for a temple that one day will stand on the Temple Mount forever, II Samuel 7. Jesus said He would come back to Jerusalem and build that temple one day, Zechariah 1:16. The Temple Mount is the holy mountain of God according to Daniel 9:16, 20; a place where the Lord said He would dwell among His people, the Jewish people, forever, Psalm 132:13-14.

This pronouncement by a Muslim preacher that the Temple Mount will belong to the Muslims forever is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

As we celebrate the birthday of the United States, the question of America's place in Bible prophecy can be answered

Listen to Today's Program Play

Independence Day celebrations mark the birth of the United States of America, an experiment that has been very successful in many different ways. Many Christians say that the reason for America's prosperity is due to their support for world evangelism. The United States has been the launch pad for worldwide missions, spreading the gospel to a needy world.

The other reason given for America's success is that we have protected the Jewish state of Israel for the many years of its existence, keeping the Jewish people from total elimination by its enemies. These two reasons, at the least, have played a role in bringing the United States to where it is today; but where is the United States in Bible prophecy?

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The question of America's place in Bible prophecy does have an answer.
"Where is America in Bible prophecy?" That is the most asked question in any "Prophecy Question and Answer" time. I am always asked this question when I open up to inquiring people.
Once in a "Prophecy Question and Answer" time someone told me that they knew, so I asked "Where?"

They said, "Jerusalem."
I asked them to explain, and they spelled out the word Jerusalem.
"J - e - r - U - S - A - l - e - m", to which everybody laughed.

As I thought about the answer though, I believe that it is correct, the only place in Bible prophecy that I see the possibility of the mention of the United States or an illusion to the United States is in Zechariah 14:2.

Zechariah revealed that at the time of the end all of the armies of the world would gather at Jerusalem, under the leadership of Satan, Anti-Christ, and the False Prophet - there to confront Jesus Christ on His return to the Mount of Olives from where He departed some 2,000 years ago. If America survives the 7 year Tribulation Period, their army would join the other armies of the world at Jerusalem.

America today is great because the backbone of this nation is made up of true, Bible believing, born-again Christians. When the Christians leave this world at the Rapture of the Church, which could happen at any moment, the most powerful nation in the world will most likely fall from it's power base.

America's spiritual decline, in the present, will result in a power decline in the future. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Iran is set to deploy thousands of military forces into war torn Syria

Listen to Today's Program Play

The civil war in Syria continues and is intensifying and the Iranians are now becoming the major player in this conflict. Ken Timmerman in Washington, DC has a report on how this is all developing in the Middle East.

Ken Timmerman: I think this is an extraordinary event. We are seeing now that the Iranians are all in when it comes to the Syrian conflict. They have decided that this is a red line for them and for their regime. They are now openly talking about that deployment of Revolutionary Guard troops whereas until now they have been just there quietly in the background backing Hezbollah and I would say this is going to get dicier.

You already have Saudi Arabia arming the rebels, you have Turkey arming the rebels, you have Jordan training and arming the rebels in Syria and this has been going on for quite some time with the explicit knowledge and encouragement of the Obama administration and the CIA. This is increasingly an international conflict. The Iranians by the way, and these are high level government officials, who said this week in their media they believe the Sunni-Shia conflict in Syria today will hasten the return of the twelfth Imam, the Imam Mahdi, the end of the world scenario for the Shias.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Iran's involvement in the war torn nation of Syria is a precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Events in the Middle East continue to bring our world to the point of a major war focused in the Middle East. That is political information as we have already discussed in this program how the Iranians are going to deploy four thousand of their military personnel into this civil war that is only intensifying in the nation of Syria, however that scenario was foretold 2500 years ago in the books of Ezekiel and Daniel.

In Ezekiel 38:5, it mentions Persia, Persia would be modern day Iran where in fact they do still speak the Persian language. When you go to Daniel 11:40 you will notice there is mention of a King of the North. Early on in the book of Daniel, we find out in verse 5 that the King of the North would be the geographical location for modern day Syria. Put these two bits of information together and you have the end of times scenario that is called for in Bible prophecy.

Indeed the stage is set for bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

US efforts to restart the peace talks between the Israelis and the Palestinians have failed

Listen to Today's Program Play

Secretary of State John Kerry spent three days of shuttle diplomacy in the Middle East and has come up short of restarting the peace process. David Dolan, longtime journalist in the Middle East, gave me his observations about US efforts to restart the peace talks.

Dave Dolan: Jimmy I do not want to sound cynical but we could insert about eight names in that question you just gave and they would all be true. Tony Blair, we could talk about a lot of diplomats not only from the US but from Europe. Many others have tried over the years and of course President Bill Clinton presided over the signing over the Oslo Peace Accords. Yasser Arafat and the late Yitzhak Rabin, both of them now passed from the scene. We had a wonderful signing ceremony a year later with Jordan and the peace with Egypt was very cold, the peace with the Palestinians fell apart and recently PA leader Mahmoud Abbas repeated that he will not sit down to talk with Israel unless Benjamin Netanyahu first agrees to delineating exactly where the final borders will be, unless Israel agrees to stop building new homes or other buildings in the disputed territories which of course he includes the Eastern half of Jerusalem in that description. These are conditions the Israelis have long made clear they are not going to meet before talks begin and they just want peace talks. I do not think John Kerry has found a way to overcome that. He has been trying and he has gotten the Palestinians to agree to a couple concession, nothing significant enough to make this process work.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

US efforts to restart the peace talks between the Israelis and the Palestinians is actually a precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Many US presidents and numbers of world leaders have worked tirelessly for peace in the Middle East and all of their efforts have failed as of now. Bible prophecy tells us that one world leader will come on the scene and bring about peace between Israel and her neighbors. Daniel 9:27 says that the Antichrist, that world leader that I am talking about during the Tribulation Period, will actually be the one who will bring peace to the Middle East, howbeit it will be a pseudo peace. Daniel 9:27 says the Antichrist will confirm those peace agreements already on the table never normalized and not working at this point in time.

Ongoing efforts in the Middle East to bring about peace will indeed come about when Bible prophecy is fulfilled seemingly in the very near future.

An Egyptian Muslim cleric says people have a thirst for the blood of the Jewish people

Listen to Today's Program Play

Seen recently on Hamas Al Aqsa television in a sermon by the Egyptian Muslim cleric Salah Sultan, the Islamist said that as he traveled across the world he met people who thirsted for the blood of Jews and they are eager for the promised war against the sons of Zion, the Jewish people.

Sultan also said under the previous Egyptian regime over 30,000 Zionists entered Egypt every month and they defiled the land of the Islamist Egyptians.

In the past, Sultan had accused the Jews of making Passover matzahs from the blood of Christian children and has called for the murder of every Zionist who enters Egypt.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A radical Egyptian Muslim cleric calling for the murder of every Jew that enters Egypt so they can quench their thirst for Jewish blood is a page out of Bible prophecy for the last days.

The radical Islamist Muslim cleric Salah Sultan has crossed a line in his call for the murdering of Jews so that people can quench their thirst for Jewish blood. This seems to be the epitome of hatred for the Jewish people by an element of radical Islam. The fact that Hamas television would air such a horrific statement by anyone is beyond the pale as well. However, when you are a student of Bible prophecy you recognize what is for sure setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Down through history, there has been a conflict between the Jews and the Egyptians. Four thousand years ago, the family of Jacob which became the nation of Israel, was under Egyptian bondage for 400 years, a fulfillment of the prophecy in Genesis 15. In recent history, the Jewish state has been involved in at least three wars with Egypt in 1948, 1967, and 1973. As it relates to the future, Egypt will join a coalition of nations that will move to destroy the Jewish state, Daniel 11:40-43 where Egypt is referred to as the King of the North. Other Jewish prophets foretell of a future Israeli-Egyptian conflict as well like Jeremiah and Ezekiel.

A radical Egyptian Muslim cleric saying that people have a thirst for Jewish blood is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
