JD: The President Reuven Rivlin and the speaker of the Knesset were going to be traveling along with the Prime Minister to visit Hebron. That it was the 90th anniversary of the 1929 slaughter of Jews there in Hebron. Talk to us about what you’re going to be doing on the 90th anniversary?

DW: Actually the reason that they came in for that is because the decision was made about 20 years ago that every 10 years there would be an official governmental ceremony marking the massacre that took place here in 1929. They were instigated and in sighted by mufti of Jerusalem and Hussaini who was later a Nazi. He worked with Hitler and had plans to annihilate the Jews living here in pre-state Israel during World War II.

The massacre was committed by the people that live here by the neighbors that the Jews that lived here. There were over 67 Jews that were murdered and over 70 that were wounded. As a result of that the British that were ruling here under the mandate League of Nations expelled the Jews that survived saying, that the Jews and the Arabs couldn’t continue to live together here. There were more Arabs than Jews so it was more easy to throw out the Jews then to throw out the Arabs.

As Yuli-Yoel Edelstein was the speaker at the Knesset said yesterday when he was here he said exactly 35 years ago he was arrested in the then Soviet Union because of his ties to Zionism and his efforts on behalf of the Jewish people. In Russia he was in jail for many years and he said who could have thought then that here I would be today in Hebron for the anniversary of the 1929 massacre as the speaker of the Knesset. So we see that despite all of the hardships that we face individually and as people we always overcome and the fact that we live here today I think is testament to that.

JD: David Wilder with a look back at the Jewish slaughter in Hebron, Judaism’s second most sacred city.

We report this information because it is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

David Wilder’s report brings to our attention some of the history of the sacred Jewish city of Hebron. Hebron is Judaism’s oldest Jewish community established by Abraham some 4,000 years ago. Today it is a symbol of Arab hatred for the Jewish people. Abraham actually paid cash money for Machpelah Cave as recorded in Genesis 23. Machpelah Cave the burial place for the Patriarchs Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Jewish tradition says that it is also the entrance to the Garden of Eden where the Messiah Jesus Christ will rule and reign forever, that’s Zechariah 6:13.
