Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians stopped to mark the al Nakba, the catastrophe of the establishment of the Jewish state of Israel in the Middle East with marches to the borders of Israel and protests saying this is a reminder of the long and glorious struggle of the Palestinian people.
PA President Mahmoud Abbas in a televised speech said there are two peoples living on this beloved land, one celebrates independence and the other feels pain of the memory of the Nakbah, the catastrophe.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
As Palestinians in Israel and across the Middle East mark the Nakbah, the catastrophe of Israel's founding, Bible prophecy moves closer to complete fulfillment.
Hundreds and thousands of Palestinians in Israel and across the Middle East stopped to remember today the Nakbah, the catastrophe as they refer to it, of the establishment of the Jewish state of Israel with a pledge to never stop the struggle for the right to have a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital and all the Palestinian refugees able to return to their home in Israel. Palestinians say that for sixty years since the founding of the Jewish state of Israel in 1948, the Jews have occupied what was once a Palestinian state and over 700,000 Palestinians were forced out of their state to make way for the Jewish state. However, a true account of history does not reveal that there was ever a Palestinian state in the Middle East and that the Palestinian people left in 1948 to allow the Palestinian militants and a number of Arab states to push the Jewish state into the Mediterranean Sea.
The ancient Jewish prophets wrote 2,500 years ago of this struggle between the Jews and the Palestinians, known in Biblical times as the descendants of two brothers, Jacob and Esau. Genesis 25-37 records the division of these two peoples and Ezekiel, Malachi, Jeremiah and Obadiah foretold this conflict would intensify in the Last Days. In fact, Obadiah reveals the Israeli-Palestinian conflict would not be resolved until the Messiah, Jesus Christ, returns to the Earth.
