Jordan's King Abdullah says that the Middle East is about to explode

Jordan's King Abdullah is warning the world that the situation in the Middle East could explode due to Israel's building of settlements in the eastern section of the city of Jerusalem. The king said that Israel is playing with fire by carrying out unilateral actions in eastern Jerusalem which the Jewish state captured from Jordan in the 1967 war.

King Abdullah also said that Israel must choose between living in an isolated fortress in the region or reaching peace with all of the Arab Islamic states in accordance with the Arab peace initiative.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Jordan's King Abdullah's warning of an explosion in the Middle East, an all our war, is prophetic - in fact, that is the scenario that is called for in Bible prophecy for the last days.

The most recent warning from Jordan's King Abdullah about a major war in the Middle East is not the first time the king has made these statements. King Abdullah believes that Israel's actions pertaining to Jerusalem are the flash point that could trigger what the king refers to as an explosion in the Middle East. The Jordanian king is especially concerned about the moves that Israel makes as it relates to the Palestinians since almost 70% of his population is made up of Palestinians. The king's focus on Israel action in Jerusalem is a precursor to Bible prophecy as well as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, a lead up to the prophetic scenario for the last days being played out today.

Zechariah, the ancient Jewish prophet, wrote some 2500 years ago that Jerusalem would be the center of controversy in the last days (Zechariah 12:2). Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Malachi, and Obadiah also wrote about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Malachi said that the Palestinians would return and endeavor to build a nation that would be the scorn of the Lord (Malachi 1). Ezekiel said that the Palestinians would rise up and kill the Jewish people as they stole their land (Ezekiel 35). Obadiah says that when the Messiah Jesus Christ returns to the earth, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will be resolved (Obadiah 14-18).

Basically, King Abdullah's warning is correct - Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

A Chinese filmmaker says he has found Noah's Ark

There is a new claim by a Chinese filmmaker and a Turkish scientist that Noah's Ark has been found encased in ice on Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey and the men say they are 99% sure that the wooden structure they filmed is the remnants of the famed ark that God instructed Noah to build to save his family and the world's animals from the Flood.

Though it would be a discovery for the ages, skeptics are already questioning the discovery, especially since the team that made the discovery is refusing to say exactly where they found the Ark with its wooden chambers still intact.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The news media is abuzz with the report of the discovery of Noah's Ark and though this may or may not be the actual Ark, the Bible and Bible prophecy do confirm the reality of the events surrounding Noah's Ark.

The story of the discovery of the Biblical Noah's Ark is being covered internationally by the news media and these reports are actually causing many to have more questions than answers on the subject. The Chinese filmmaker and the Turkish scientist involved in the discovery are refusing to reveal the actual location of the Ark, thus making it more difficult for independent scientists to confirm or deny the authenticity of the report. Though we may not know for sure if this latest report of discovering Noah's Ark is true, the report of the Ark and Noah's use of the Ark during the worldwide Flood is absolute.

The Bible gives an account of the events leading up to the Flood, the building of the Ark, and the Flood itself in Genesis 6-8. Genesis 9-11 give us the record of the lives of the eight souls saved from the Flood by Noah's Ark and how these eight people started to repopulate the earth. Jesus Christ confirmed the record of Noah and the Ark in His Olivet Discourse found in Matthew 24:37-40. In fact, Jesus foretold of the end times in this Olivet Discourse when He said that He would come back to the earth during a similar time to the days of Noah and the Ark.

I can only conclude this report by saying the Bible is true on the record of Noah and the Ark and Bible prophecy will indeed be fulfilled.

An Israeli researcher says an Israeli-Iranian war could last for years

Bar-Ilan University researcher, Dr. Moshe Vered, believes that if war breaks out between Iran and Israel it likely would last for years, not weeks and he says that Iran would also target Jews around the world including El Al airplanes, synagogues, and Israeli operations abroad.

The research paper by Dr. Vered points out that the Iranian Shiite Moslems believe that the very existence of Israel is an insult to Moslems and that there is an obligation by Moslems to sacrifice themselves for the sake of annihilating the Jewish state.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A research paper that gives a forecast for a long war between Iran and Israel is very sobering, but this paper may not have taken into consideration the prophetic scenario that can be found in the Bible for such a war.

Dr. Moshe Vered's research paper is very sobering especially in light of the radical rhetoric coming from the president of Iran about his desires to see Israel wiped off the face of the earth. The paper speaks of an extended war between Iran and Israel if Israel should make a preemptive strike on Iran to destroy the development of nuclear Weapons of Mass Destruction(WMD).

Threats by Iranian President Ahmadinejad suggest that his country would unleash an attack on every target in Israel with its long range missiles and with the possibility that these missiles would have nuclear warheads aboard. In addition, Iran would call for Syria, Hamas, Hezbollah and Turkey to join the fight to destroy Israel.

This scenario is found in Bible prophecy in Ezekiel 38 where verse 5 mentions Persia, which is modern day Iran, and also in Daniel 11:40-41, which includes Syria referred to as the King of the North. However, an extended war is not part of the prophetic scenario as revealed in these passages of Scripture. When you look at Ezekiel 38:18-39:6, you'll find that the prophet foretells of a total destruction of Israel's attacking enemies and this happens within weeks or months, not years.

The research paper aside, Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The Vatican has created a new church structure to accommodate non-Catholics

Pope Benedict has approved a new church provision that will allow non-Catholics and in particular, the Anglicans, to convert to Catholicism while at the same time, maintaining many of their distinctive spiritual and liturgical traditions.

The Vatican made this decision in response to the disillusionment of some Anglicans over the election of openly gay bishops and the blessing of same sex marriage which has caused a major uproar in the Anglican church not only in England, but across the world.

This never-before provision for Protestants to become a part of the Catholic Church has many Protestant leaders concerned about the breakdown in doctrinal differences between the Catholics and Protestants that came out of the Reformation 500 years ago.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The announcement by the Vatican in Rome that the Pope has approved a church provision that will allow non-Catholics to convert to Catholicism is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

In response to the outcry by the Church of England, the Anglicans, about women bishops, openly gay bishops and gay unions, the Vatican has made a way to accommodate these disgruntled Protestants. This Vatican accommodation to Protestants has Protestant Church leaders preparing to see a flow of new converts to Catholicism and its liturgical pattern of worship especially in light of the growth of the emerging church philosophy.

Revelation 17 predicts a worldwide church will be in operation during the seven year period of judgment found in Bible prophecy and known as the Tribulation. In the first 3 1/2 years of this time in the future, this one-world religion will be headquartered in a seven-hilled city, Revelation 17:9, and that city would be the city of Rome, the location of the Vatican. This mother-son cult first established in Babylon 4,500 years ago, Genesis 11:4b, has survived history and will play a major role in the last days.

This announcement from Pope Benedict at the Vatican is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

A world renowned scientist has warned mankind not to speak to aliens from outer space

World renowned scientist Stephen Hawking has warned humankind to avoid any contact with aliens from outer space which Hawking believes do exist among the 100 billion galaxies each containing hundreds of millions of stars in the universe. Hawking says alien life is almost certain to exist in many other parts of the universe not just in planets but perhaps in the center of stars or even floating in interplanetary space and may even exist in massive ships and be looking for resources on other planets.

Hawking says that to his mathematical brain the numbers alone make thinking about aliens perfectly rational and the real challenge is to work out what what aliens might actually be like.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by a world renowned scientist that aliens exist in outer space may sound like science fiction but there is an interesting link to Bible prophecy that will be played out in the last days.

The name "Stephen Hawking", a well known scientist in our world today is a name that is associated with many scientific discoveries and now he has come forward to say there are aliens in outer space. Hawking says that we should not seek them out but humanity should do everything to avoid them. I know that this sounds like a science fiction story but I am only reporting from a documentary from Hawking where he goes into further detail on the subject. Hawking warns that these aliens may invade the earth searching for more resources to sustain their existence and possibly to colonize the earth.

Bible prophecy does reveal in the book of Revelation the future event of creatures invading the earth from outer space (Revelation 9:1-13). These aliens, using the proper sense of the word, are referred to as locusts, but not any locusts that we have ever seen. They are evil angels that will attack humankind on the earth in the last days to kill one third of the earth's population (Revelation 9:13-20).

The report warning that we should not seek out aliens is an interesting precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Jordan's ambassador to the United States says that Jerusalem is a ticking time bomb

The Jordanian Ambassador to the United States, Zeid al-Hussein, says that Jerusalem is a ticking time bomb where an attack by Jewish extremists on Moslem holy sites could erase any chances for peace between Israel and the Palestinians also undermining stability in the entire Moslem world. The ambassador said his country was worried that an incident on the Temple Mount could unleash emotions of an extreme nature and the consequences would be very severe.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by the Jordanian ambassador to the United States that Jerusalem is a ticking time bomb is actually a page out of Bible prophecy.

From 1948 through 1967 and the Six Day War, the Jordanian government had control of the Al Aqsa Mosque, the Islamic mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. In fact, the Jordanians controlled the entire Temple Mount and allowed no Jews to enter the complex. The late King Hussein released control of the Temple Mount compound to the Palestinian Authority who have had custodial responsibilities of this holy site for the last 16 years. The Palestinian-Islamic Trust controls who can or cannot enter the compound. The Temple Mount or the Al-Aqsa, as the Moslems refer to this site, is the Islamic world's third holiest site. To the Jews and the Christians, it is their holiest site in the universe.

The statement by the Jordanian envoy is, in truth, reality. The Temple Mount, is indeed, a ticking time bomb. As I stated, this statement is a page out of Bible prophecy found in the prophetic book of Zechariah. The ancient Jewish prophet revealed 2500 years before the fact that Jerusalem and in particular the Temple Mount would be the center of controversy in the last days (Zechariah 12:2-3, 1:14-16). The prophetic phrase, "a cup of trembling" found in Zechariah 12:2 means that those who control this holy site will be intoxicated with power and will do so until the Messiah Jesus Christ returns to build His temple on this holy site.

Jerusalem as a ticking time bomb does set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Israeli archaeologists have unearthed a 3000 year old wall that is archaeological evidence to verify the Jewish King of Israel, King Solomon

An archaeological team led by Dr. Eliat Mazar has unearthed an ancient wall in Jerusalem that dates back to the third king of Israel, King Solomon, the son of King David, and this team believes this discovery gives proof to the Biblical account of the presence of the Jewish people in Jerusalem 3000 years ago.

Dr. Mazar cited the book of I Kings in the Bible as she explained the archaeological significance of this wall which surrounded the central city of the monarchy, the House of King Solomon and the first Temple of the Jewish people.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The archaeological discovery of an ancient wall in Jerusalem dating back to the Jewish King Solomon is evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The archaeological dig in the city of David, the original site of the city of Jerusalem, has unearthed important artifacts that give proof of a Jewish presence in Jerusalem back through history. With the recent discovery of a wall between the city of David and the Temple Mount that dates back 3000 years ago, there is further proof of a Jewish presence in the period of the first Jewish Temple. That first Temple was built in the time of King Solomon, the third king of the Jewish people. The fact that this wall is evidence of a Jewish leadership capable of building this massive fortress wall is evidence that King Solomon had the capacity to build the first Temple as well, as is recorded in I Kings 6.

The building of this Jewish Temple 3000 years ago by King Solomon was the first installment of the Davidic Covenant, II Samuel 7, which was God's promise to King David that one of his sons would build that Temple, II Samuel 7:12-13. However, the Davidic Covenant also looked into the future, beyond King Solomon to the last days when another in the lineage of King David, the Messiah, Jesus Christ would build a Temple in Jerusalem and become the King of the Kingdom that will be forever, II Samuel 7:10-16.

The discovery of an ancient wall in Jerusalem dating back to King Solomon is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

A Moslem cleric in Iran blames earthquakes on promiscuous women

An Iranian Moslem cleric told worshipers in Tehran recently that promiscuous women are responsible for earthquakes and that Iranians must stick to strict codes of modesty to protect themselves.

The Moslem cleric told the Moslem worshipers that many women who do not dress modestly lead young men astray and spread adultery in society which brings about the increase in earthquakes in his nation and the cleric called for national repentance in Iran.

The Moslem leader said there is no other solution to earthquakes but to take refuge in the Moslem religion and to adapt their lives to Islam's moral codes.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The claim by the Iranian Moslem cleric that promiscuous women are the cause for earthquakes cannot be proven, but Bible prophecy does call for an increase in earthquakes during the time of the end.

Though the claim by the Iranian Moslem cleric that promiscuous women are the reason for an increase in earthquakes in his country, cannot really be proven, it is interesting to note that tens of thousands of Iranians have died as a result of earthquakes in the last decade. In fact, seismologists have warned that the Iranian capital, Tehran, is situated on a large number of tectonic fault lines and could be hit by a devastating quake in the near future.

The Bible, in a number of passages, does speak of an increase in earthquakes and other ecological judgment on the earth in the last days. Revelation 8 speaks of this judgment when a third part of the trees and all the grass will be burned up on the earth, Revelation 8:7. Verses 8-9 call for a third of the ocean to turn to blood and one third of the fish in the sea to die.

Revelation 16:3-4 calls for the entire ocean to turn to blood and the killing of all the fish, in addition, all the rivers and fountains of water will turn to blood as well. These judgments will take place during the seven year Tribulation Period in the future. Referring to earthquakes, Jesus Christ in His Olivet Discourse, said that an increase in earthquakes was a sign of His soon return to the earth, Matthew 24:7.

The attention to earthquakes given by the Moslem cleric does indeed speak to Bible prophecy that will be fulfilled.

Israeli PM Netanyahu says on Israel's 62nd birthday that the land of Israel and the city of Jerusalem belong to the Jewish people

Israeli PM Netanyahu kicked off Israel's 62nd birthday as a modern day state with the clear message that the reunited city of Jerusalem is not to be divided. It is Israel's undivided, eternal capital of the Jewish state.

The PM said Jews were back in the land of their forefathers because it is Jewish land and the city of Jerusalem is its capital city because it is a Jewish city as well and both the state and the city are the result of a miracle, the miracle of a people scattered around the world regathered to their nation and its capital.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The celebration of Israel's 62nd birthday is evidence of Bible prophecy being fulfilled, but also a reminder that the Jewish state today sets the stage for additional Bible prophecy to be fulfilled as well.

Israel's PM Benyamin Netanyahu told the world on the 62nd birthday of Israel that Jews are in the land of their forefathers because the land is theirs and the revived Jewish nation is the result of fulfilled Bible prophecy. The PM made it clear to all that Jerusalem is the undivided, eternal capital of the Jewish state and belongs to the Jews, also a fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

In today's world, the evidence is absolute that God's prophetic Word has been fulfilled as written over 2000 years ago. This gives us a basis on which to believe that additional Bible prophecy pertaining to the Jewish state will also be fulfilled.

The ancient Jewish prophets wrote of conflict and controversy surrounding each of them. Ezekiel wrote of conflict as a coalition of nations will attack the Jewish state during the end times, Ezekiel 38. Daniel wrote Israel would have a short-lived pseudo peace before the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, comes to bring real peace to the Jewish people, Daniel 9:27. Zechariah wrote of Jerusalem becoming the center of controversy in the end times, Zechariah 12:2.

The Jewish city of Jerusalem and the Jewish state of Israel indeed are setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

As the Jewish nation stops to remember their fallen soldiers, they remember a rabbi who said, the warriors who have fallen have sprouted forth life

The late Rabbi Shlomo Goren, the former chief rabbi of the Israeli Defense Force and the one who set the date to mark the fallen soldiers of Israel's wars, once said that Israel must view the warriors who have fallen in battle as those who sprouted forth life, the life of a nation growing out of this blood. Rabbi Goren said that Israel's Memorial Day which precedes Independence Day must be a day of mourning, a day to remember the fallen soldiers, a day to grieve - but it also must be a day of majesty and vision for the Jewish state.

Memorial Day, the day before Independence Day, the birthday of the Jewish state, is when the nation stops for 2 minutes of silence as a nationwide siren sounds to honor the over 22,000 Israeli men and women who have given their lives in all the wars of the modern-day state of Israel and to pray for peace in their region of the world.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

As we stop to reflect on the fallen warriors of the Jewish state of Israel in our day there must the be realization that Memorial Day in Israel is only a reminder of the Time of Jacob's Trouble yet to come - that is according to Bible prophecy. Since the War of Independence for the Jewish state of Israel in 1948, Israel has fought a number of wars and over 22,000 Jewish men and women have given their lives in defense of their homeland. Israel's history of warfare is a glimpse of God's protecting hand on a people that He has preserved for almost 4000 years. It is also evidence of what the Lord will do in the future.

Bible prophecy foretells of future wars more intense than the ones of the last 60 some years of war in the Middle East. A coalition of Arab and Moslem nations will attack the Jewish state according to Ezekiel 38, Daniel 11, and Psalm 83. Joel 2:3 says that the largest army ever formed on earth will come to destroy the Jewish state. Zechariah 14:2 says that in fact all armies of the world will one day surround Israel to destroy the Jewish state. However, one must remember that the Jewish Messiah, Jesus Christ, will come to protect His chosen people.

Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

A high ranking Islamic cleric tells thousands of Moslem children on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem that Jews will never build a temple on that site

Recently, as many as ten thousand Moslem children were on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem to demonstrate the next generation of Moslems that will defend and continue the safekeeping of the Temple Mount, the Al Aqsa Mosque, as the Moslem world refers to this piece of real estate sacred to both Jews and Moslems.

The Mufti, Sheik Sabri, told the thousands of children swearing by Allah that the Jews will never return to take the Temple Mount and build their Temple there which is the Jewish dream, and the Mufti said that dream will never be fulfilled.

Jewish worshippers gather at the Western Wall surrounding the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and pray their Temple will be rebuilt and then the Messiah will come to lead them into the kingdom promised three thousand years ago to King David.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A statement by the Mufti in Jeruslaem to thousands of Moslem children that there will never be a Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount is contradictory to Bible prophecy for the End Times.

As the controversy over the Temple Mount in Jerusalem intensifies, the Mufti, a high ranking Moslem cleric, Sheik Sabri, told up to ten thousand Moslem children recently gathered on the Temple Mount that they must defend Al Aqsa and never allow the Jews to rebuild their Temple on this sacred site. For the Mufti to tell thousands of Moslem children that the Jews must not be allowed to build a Temple on the Temple Mount is in total contradiction of what God's Word reveals for the End Times.

Jesus Christ said there would be a Temple on the Temple Mount, Matthew 24:15. Apostles Paul and John said one day a Jewish Temple would be rebuilt in Jerusalem, II Thessalonians 2:4 and Revelation 11:1-2. These passages of Scripture speak of the next Temple to stand in Jerusalem, the Tribulation Temple, and all preparations have been made for that Temple to be erected. The Jews could start construction at any time, but do remember that Zechariah 6:12 tells us that Jesus Himself, will return to the earth and build His Temple which will be there on the Temple Mount forever, Ezekiel 37:26, 28.

The Mufti in Jerusalem is wrong. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The chief of staff for the Israeli Defense Force says that the Bible is the guidebook for the military forces of Israel

The Israeli Defense Force Chief of Staff, General Gabi Ashkenazi, told the participants in the International Bible Quiz for Youth held in Jerusalem that the Israeli Defense Force sees the Bible as a guide in the deep and practical sense of the word. General Ashkenazi said that it is no accident that the Israeli Defense Force swears in soldiers with a weapon in one hand and the Bible in the other, a custom that reflects the uniqueness of the Israeli Defense Force and the deep bond of the Jewish people to the Book of Books.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A closer study of the Bible will give understanding of why the Israeli Defense Force chief of staff says that God's Word is the guidebook for Israel's military today and I would add for the future as well according to Bible prophecy.

Since the beginning of the Israeli Defense Force, with the founding of the modern-day state of Israel, every new soldier that was sworn in to defend the Jewish state was sworn in with a weapon in one hand and the Bible in the other. This practice is evidence to the world that the connection of the Jewish people with the Bible and all that it records about God's plan for the Jewish people is absolute.

As students of the Bible these military leaders in Israel, not only use God's Word for instruction in military strategy, but they want the new recruits to look to the Bible for their military career as well. There are a number of actual military activities recorded in the Bible that give input for Israel's military strategy. One in particular is the record of Gideon's plan of operation to defeat Israel's enemy (Judges 7). There are many stories of modern-day Israeli wars where only God could have given victory to the Jewish warriors which is based upon the name for the Jewish state Israel, which means "God will fight for you".

Indeed this is the case for the future as well when Israel comes under attack from the coalition of nations mentioned in Ezekiel 38 and records that the Lord will fight for the Jewish state by raining hailstone, fire, and brimstone from heaven upon Israel's attacking enemies and destroy them (Ezekiel 38:18 - Ezekiel 39:6).

The prophecies of Israel's military guidebook, the Bible, will indeed be fulfilled.

There is a severe drought that threatens the traditional site of the Garden of Eden

Iraqi officials say a severe drought is threatening Iraq's southern marshes, the traditional site of the Biblical Garden of Eden, just as the region was recovering from Saddam Hussein's draining of its lakes and swamps to punish a political rebellion in that region several years ago. This marsh Arab culture has existed for thousands of years in the 8,000 square miles of wetlands fed by the Tigris and Euphrates rivers where hundreds of species of birds fish have lived in these fertile farmlands.

This vast expanse of cracked earth has been coming back to life with the help of the United Nations but the debilitating drought has ravaged much of southern Iraq and neighboring countries in the last two years and thus reeked havoc in this traditional site for the Biblical Garden of Eden.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Iraq's claim to the traditional site of the Garden of Eden is wrong but the true site is significant in the end times Bible prophecy scenario for this Biblical site.

For years, the people of Iraq have claimed that in the southern marsh lands of their country could be found the Biblical Garden of Eden. This claim was based upon the location of the two rivers, the Tigris and Euphrates that flow together in this region. Iraqi officials made the claim based upon the mention of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers in the Biblical account of the Garden of Eden in Genesis 2. A closer look at the passage will reveal that these two rivers were not in the Garden of Eden but somewhere outside of the garden.

One must remember that the Garden of Eden existed prior to the worldwide Flood of Genesis 6-8, at which time the total topography was changed. The Biblical text says that there was only one river in the Garden of Eden. That was the Gihon river (Genesis 2:10) and that river today is located in Jerusalem. Bible prophecy says that enemies of Israel will try to take the Garden of Eden for the headquarters of its caliphate or worldwide kingdom in the last days (Isaiah 51:3, Ezekiel 36:35, and Joel 2:3).

Bible prophecy will indeed be fulfilled at the true Garden of Eden in Jerusalem.

A senior research fellow at the Hudson Institute says Jewish ties to the Temple Mount will bring peace to the Middle East

Dr. Max Singer a senior research fellow at the Beagan Sadat Center for Strategic Studies says the only chance for real peace in the Middle East is if the western nations convince the Arabs that Jewish ties to the Temple Mount will bring about peace in the region.

Singer believes that the continual denial by the PA leadership of the Jewish people's ancient connection to the land of Israel and the sacred significance to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount where once stood two Jewish temples will hinder any peace efforts to the two peoples to coexist in the Middle East and thus only enhance the continuing conflict.

In spite of the fact that the PA Mufti Sheikh Sabri, the high ranking Islamic cleric, claims there has never been a Jewish presence on the Temple Mount, Jewish scholars cite many historic and Biblical sources to confirm that Jews have a 3000 year old connection to the Temple Mount and Jerusalem.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by the senior Jewish research fellow that Jewish ties to the Temple Mount will bring peace to the Middle East is right on target according to Bible prophecy.

Dr. Max Singer, the founder and senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, believes that if Jewish ties are restored to the Temple Mount and Jerusalem, there will be peace in the Middle East. Bible prophecy reveals that Dr. Singer is correct in the final outcome in the end of time scenario written by ancient Jewish prophets 2500 years ago. The prophet Samuel wrote in II Samuel 7 that one of King David's descendants would rule the world from a Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, that descendant will be Jesus Christ, the Jewish Messiah. Isaiah wrote that when the Temple, the house of the Lord, will be established in Jerusalem, nations would turn their military weapons into farming equipment and they would learn of war no more, thus peace in the world, Isaiah 2:1-4.

As the quest for peace in the Middle East continues, all must agree with the Bible, Jewish ties to the Temple Mount will indeed bring about peace.

Israel stops to remember the death of 6 million Jews as the world becomes more anti-semitic

The Jewish state of Israel stood for 2 minutes in silence when the nationwide siren sounded to mark Holocaust Remembrance Day and they remembered the 6 million Jews that were slaughtered in the Holocaust of World War II some 65 years ago. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said never again will Jews allow such a horrific crime to take place and the world today must do all that is possible to stop it from being repeated - referring to the radical leader of Iran, President Ahmadinejad who continually calls for the Jews to be wiped off the earth.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

As Israel marked Holocaust Remembrance Day and read the reports of the increase and spread of anti-semitic activities across the world, the Jewish world must realize that the worst holocaust is yet to come according to Bible prophecy.

During World War II, Adolf Hitler and his Nazi troopers led the way to the slaughter of 6 million people who were guilty of only one thing - they were Jewish. The annual Holocaust Remembrance Day in Israel is for the purpose of remembering all the victims of that tragic event in history but also to say to the world that never again will this happen.

However, the reality is that there will be another holocaust worse than the last one, that is according to Bible prophecy. The ancient Jewish prophet Zechariah wrote 2500 years ago that during the Time of Jacob's Trouble, the coming seven years of judgment - the Tribulation, that during that time two out of every three Jews will be killed (Zechariah 13:8). At the world's present Jewish population, that would mean over 8 million Jews will be slaughtered. Our world today is witnessing an increase in anti-semitic attacks and world leaders like Iranian President Ahmadinejad will play a key role in this horrific crime on humanity.

In the prophetic book of Revelation, we see revealed the prophecy of Satanic forces who will be thrown from heaven to the earth (Revelation 12:7-17) and they will join in that holocaust of the future as they attack Jews to eliminate them from the earth.

As Israel marked Holocaust Remembrance Day this year, one must remember that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu cancelled his visit to the Obama nuclear summit

Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu at first said that he would attend President Obama's nuclear summit in Washington and then reversed his decision and decided not to attend once he learned that the Egyptian and Saudi Arabian delegates were going to use the summit to expose the truth behind the Israeli nuclear arsenal. The Israeli policy has been ambiguity as it relates to the potential of a nuclear powered Israel with the Israeli government neither denying or confirming that they have a nuclear arsenal ready to use against any enemy attack.

The potential deadly Israeli nuclear arsenal has been a deterrent to any Arab or Islamic country coming against Israel in an all out war in recent years and has acted as a balance against an Iranian offensive nuclear attack.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The reality that Israel has a nuclear arsenal that could be used to defend itself against an all out Middle East war against the Jewish state is indeed a deterrent but not the scenario for divine protection for the Jewish people that can be found in Bible prophecy.

The question about Israel's nuclear capabilities has been on the minds of world leaders recently but of great interest to the Arab and Islamic nations of the Middle East for decades. Israel has used the policy of ambiguity pertaining to its nuclear arsenal as the main deterrent to keep their neighbors from attacking with full force in an all out war. The new Obama nuclear policy and the recently signed nuclear arms treaty between the United States and Russia has set the stage for exposing the truth about Israel's nuclear program.

Bible prophecy adds to the discussion as it lays out a scenario where the Arab and Islamic nations for a coalition and align themselves against Israel (Ezekiel 38, Daniel 11, and Psalm 83). This Islamic alignment of nations will attack the Jewish state at a time of peace which will follow a peace agreement put together by the Antichrist (Daniel 9:27, Ezekiel 38:8,11). However, Israel will not be protected at that time with nuclear weapons but instead Israel's protection will come from the heavenlies as the Lord intercedes to save the Jewish state from total destruction (Ezekiel 38:18-39:6).

Nuclear weapons in the Middle East will not stop Bible prophecy from being fulfilled.

An international financial newspaper says that Israel is the main cause of Middle East problems

The Financial Times, a London based international newspaper, says, in its news coverage and its editorial pages over the last year, that Israel is the cause for all problems in the Middle East. The Financial Times believes the role of the Jewish settlements in Israel's Judea and Samaria, above any other single factor, is affecting the conflict and the newspaper, at the same time, downplays the other factors in the conflict such as terrorism and the political split between Hamas and Fatah, the two Palestinian factions.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

An international opinion forming newspaper says that Israel is the main cause for problems in the Middle East and they may be correct according to Bible prophecy.

The Financial Times newspaper, based in London, England, has been taken to task by a media monitoring organization about their bias reporting about Israel as the publication claims that the conflict in the Middle East is all Israel's fault. The main source of agitation is the Jewish settlement activity in the area of Judea and Samaria according to The Financial Times.

I must say that to some extent The Financial Times is correct. Israel's presence in the Middle East is indeed a cause for that conflict that continues to unfold day by day. With 23 Arab states surrounding the 1 Jewish state and a population of 350 million Arabs and only about 5 million Jews, this little state has become more and more of an irritant every day to the Arabs and the Moslems in the Middle East.

However, you must remember that the land of the Jewish state is God's land (Leviticus 25:23) and God has given the land to the Jewish people. The Lord, through His ancient Jewish prophets, said that there would be trouble between Israel and her neighbors (Joel 2, Ezekiel 35, and Isaiah 17 - plus many other passages). In fact, the armies of the world will gather at Jerusalem in the last days to destroy the Jewish state and it is at that time that Jesus Christ comes back to save His chosen people, the Jewish people.

The Financial Times is correct. Israel is the cause of the Middle East conflict and that is based on Bible prophecy - that will be fulfilled.

Middle East leaders say Israel is the main threat to Middle East peace and they would be better off without peace with Israel

In an interview while in Paris, France the PM of Turkey, Tayyip Erdogan, said Israel currently represents the main threat to regional peace and the Turkish PM once again cited the Israeli military offensive in Gaza last year as the main source for his statement.

Meanwhile, King Abdullah of Jordan said the political trust between Jordan and Israel is gone, there is no real economic relationship between the two countries, and that Jordan was better off before his father signed the peace treaty.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The quest for peace in the Middle East by world leaders is not being hindered by the Jewish state of Israel, but Israel will be the cause for real peace according to Bible prophecy.

The recent statements by the Turkish PM Tayyip Erdogan that Israel is the main threat to Middle East peace is rhetoric that is like a two-edged sword, it keeps focus on Israel as the source of conflict in the region and it gives attention to Erdogan as he endeavors to become the pan-Islamic leader in the Middle East. Jordan's King Abdullah as he says that his country was better off without a peace treaty with Israel. King Abdullah who is not Palestinian does lead a nation that is 70% Palestinian in its total population. However, though these two Middle Eastern leaders have their own agendas, there is some truth to their harsh rhetoric aimed at Israel.

Bible prophecy reveals that the Middle East will have conflict between Israel and its neighbors until a world leader of great power and influence comes on the scene to bring peace to the Middle East, Daniel 11:40-45 and 9:27. The peace that will come out of the work by the Antichrist, that powerful world leader that I mentioned, will be a short-lived peace and the region will explode into war, Ezekiel 38 and Psalm 83.

This Middle East war will usher in seven years of judgment on the world, Revelation 4-19, and will be brought to an end with the return of Jesus Christ who will bring peace to the earth, Isaiah 2:2-4.

There will be peace in the Middle East. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Pro-Israel Christians are under attack

There is a new film being introduced to the Christian community that states, "God does not take sides with certain people groups, nations, or agendas" and the film is rebutting pro-Israel Christians and trying to persuade them to champion the Palestinian cause.

The film demonstrates a theology that does not favor one people group over another, but instead promotes peace for both Jews and Palestinians.

Critics of the film say that the film maker misuses scripture and wrongly manipulates the facts in the film and never answers many questions including, "How will the dwindling number of Palestinian Christians fair under a victorious new Islamic dominated Palestinian state?"

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

In spite of the fact that a newly released film says that God did not choose the Jews over other people groups and that He does not have an agenda for the Jews, a true study of God's Word says the opposite, according to Bible prophecy.

The new film, "With God on Our Side" produced by film maker Porter Speakman, is an effort to say Christians must not look at the Jews as God's chosen people and that the Lord does not have an agenda for the Jews in the future. The film accuses pro-Israel Christians as having no concern for the poor, that they stand for wars, that they want to be rich and more powerful, and that they have a self-promoting end of times agenda. These are pretty tough claims that have no real basis for being made in this attack on Christians who are pro-Bible and the agenda that God does have for the end times.

Moses wrote under inspiration in Deuteronomy 7:6-8 that God did choose the Jewish people to be a special people unto Himself and He did this because He loved them, not for any other reason. Down through history, God has preserved the Jewish people and used them as an illustration to the rest of humankind. The Lord does have an agenda for the Jews that He revealed in four covenants to them: the Abrahamic Covenant, Genesis 12, the Land Covenant, Deuteronomy 30, the Davidic Covenant, II Samuel 7, and the New Covenant, Jeremiah 31:31.

These promises from God reveal the Jews will be a nation with a piece of land and a Messiah ruling from a Temple in Jerusalem forever.

More than half of the adults surveyed across the world believe that creationism must be taught alongside the theory of evolution

To mark the anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his work on the Origin of Species, a survey was given to adults in ten countries of the world on 5 continents and the results indicate that more than half of those surveyed believed that creationism must be taught alongside the theory of evolution in the classroom. People were asked which of these origins of man was closest to their own opinion and on average 53% felt that creationism should be taught alongside Darwinism, a result that bothered the head of the Darwin Now program. Dr. Vern Baker said that the debate about Darwinism has been portrayed as very polarizing - science vs. religion.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The debate over the origins of man, Darwinism vs. creationism is a debate that has an interesting connection to the return of Jesus Christ at His Second Coming.

For over 150 years there has been a debate on the origins of man and the leader of the opposition fighting against the Biblical account of Creation, Charles Darwin, has been the center focus in this debate. Darwin's work, The Origins of Man, published 150 years ago, forms the debate as science vs. religion. The world bought into the idea that Darwin had science on his side in the debate. This argument has been disqualified by the reality of the scientific world questioning some of Darwin's theory as just that - a theory on the origins of man not scientific fact.

The Bible speaks to this issue as a significant attitude that will be prevalent at the time of the return of Jesus Christ to the Earth. The Apostle Peter wrote in II Peter 3 that there would be those who deny the return of the Lord Jesus Christ as they also deny the Creation account in Genesis 1 (II Peter 3:3-5). The truth be known, both Creation and the theory of evolution must be taken by faith, but the Biblical account gives us an eyewitness account of the origins of man where God created all things and then gave Moses the account of what happened so that he could record it in the Bible.

The Bible is absolute truth - evidence that Bible prophecy also will be fulfilled.

Thousands of Christian pilgrims gather in Jerusalem to celebrate Easter

Under high security for the Jewish feast of Passover in Jerusalem, the Israeli government has a large security force in place for the Easter weekend as well as thousands of Christian pilgrims flood the city for this very special holy day that marks the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. With both holidays happening at the same time this year as it did some 2000 years ago, the city of Jerusalem has come virtually to a standstill as both Jewish and Christian worshipers gather into the Old City for special events.

These two holy days, Passover for the Jews and Easter for the Christians, are an intricate part of the faith and experience of both Jews and Christians.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Jewish holy day of Passover and the Christian celebration of Easter have a unique relationship and a prophetic significance.

This year, the Jewish feast of Passover and the Christian holy day of Easter happen at the same time as they did in 30 AD in the city of Jerusalem. Almost 2000 years ago, the Jews were celebrating the Passover Seder, the same night that Jesus gathered his disciples around him in an upper room in Jerusalem to also go through the traditional Jewish meal to mark the Passover. On that first Easter weekend, resurrection weekend, Jesus Christ raised from the dead after having been crucified on a cross at 3:00PM Passover afternoon.

The biblical account of this historic event shows that the one proclaimed to be the Jewish Messiah was buried on the Jewish feast of Unleavened Bread and rose from the dead on the Jewish feast day of First Fruits. These Jewish feast days Passover, Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits, have a prophetic significance in that Jesus was Passover Lamb for the Christians (I Corinthians 5:7). The Apostle Paul also wrote in I Corinthians 15:20 that Jesus was the First Fruits for those who will receive Him as their Savior.

The person Jesus Christ, the Messiah, fulfilled the first three of the Spring feast days for the Jewish people as was foretold. Jesus Christ will fulfill the last three Fall Jewish feast days as well and by doing so, become the Jewish Messiah and the Christian Savior, becoming the fulfillment of Bible prophecy for both Jews and Christians.

Thousands of Jewish settlers say they will use all forms of force to stop evacuation of the Jewish settlements

Under pressure from the United States, the European Union, and the United Nations, the Israeli government has not only implemented a construction freeze in the Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria, but the Netanyahu government in Israel is considering evacuating some of the Jewish settlements. In light of these political decisions, there is a growing number of the Jewish settlers who are now saying all means must be employed to resist the evacuation of Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria and that would include the use of arms.

In a recent poll carried out by Hebrew University, thousands of Jewish settlers say that they would take up arms to stop their own government from evacuating their families from their homes and real estate where they have lived for over four decades and believe this is land that God has given to them.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The pressure from the United States, the European Union, and United Nations on the Israeli government to deal with the Jewish settlers in Judea and Samaria is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Almost on a daily basis some leader from the United States or the European Union or United Nations makes a statement to apply pressure on Israel to deal with the Jewish settlers in Judea and Samaria. The term "to deal with" is code for stop all building in the settlements and make plans to evacuate the settlers from these Israeli communities.

Moment by moment the Israeli government is starting to yield to the pressure and many settlers feel that their own government will give the order to evacuate the Jews from what they consider God given land. In fact, 21% of all Jewish settlers, now you're talking about 100,000 Jewish settlers, these people are ready to take up arms against their own government and against the Jewish people. This situation is motivating many settlement leaders to consider the alternative - a second Jewish state in the Middle East.

Bible prophecy actually calls for a second Jewish state during the Tribulation period to come, that's the seven years of judgment after the Rapture and before the return of Jesus Christ to the earth. The prophecy of this second Jewish state is actually found in Ezekiel 37:15-23. This second Jewish state would be called Judah and there are right now those at work in Israel to bring this prophecy to pass.

Continuing pressure to evacuate the Jewish settlements is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
