The Israeli government says religious Jews cannot offer the required sacrifices on the Temple Mount because of security issues

Listen to Today's Program Play

Each year during the time of the Jewish feast days that require sacrificial activities on the Temple Mount, the Israeli government refuses to grant permission for any such activity to take place on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem claiming that there are security issues that hinder these required religious rituals from taking place. For example, at Passover it is a command, a Torah mandate, that at least one Passover Lamb be sacrificed on the Temple Mount for the entire nation of Israel, that the Israeli government is refusing to allow because of fear of the response by the Moslem world should these sacrifices be performed.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Israeli government's fear of the the Moslem reaction to Jewish sacrifices being offered on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem keeps religious Jews from obeying the Bible but also it is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Year after year at Passover and the other Jewish feast days that require sacrifices on the Temple Mount, the Israeli government claims that these sacrifices cannot be made due to the security issues surrounding the Temple Mount. In fact, the Moslem clerics in Jerusalem say that there was never a Jewish temple on the Temple Mount, therefore these Jews do not need access to this most sacred spot for their required sacrifices. Fear of a major conflict that could be sparked by the Jewish sacrifices being performed on the Temple Mount, has been the reason for Israel's government refusing the numerous requests from Jews to follow these Biblical mandates.

The Bible does reveal that one day there will be a renewal of the sacrificial system in Judaism and to be performed on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem (Ezekiel 45). In the future, when Jesus Christ returns to the Earth and builds his temple in Jerusalem, there will be a sacrificial system reinstituted at that spot and that period in time (Ezekiel 45). However, even before the return of Jesus Christ, sacrifices will be offered on the Temple Mount during the seven year Tribulation period. The prophet Daniel says that these sacrifices will be stopped by the Antichrist, a world dictator at that time in history (Daniel 9:27). The Israeli government's refusal to allow sacrifices on the Temple Mount today is in essence setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
