The US Middle East Envoy George Mitchell while in the Middle East, has told both Israeli and Palestinian leaders that the US wants a prompt resumption and early conclusion of Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations.
Mitchell said the only viable resolution to this conflict is for the aspirations of both sides to be met through two states and that Americans, Europeans, Arabs and others must work to create the conditions for a peace agreement between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
Mitchell assured Israeli PM Netanyahu that the US commitment to Israeli security was unshakable and at the same time, Mitchell told PA President Mahmoud Abbas that the US will not turn its back on Palestinian aspirations for dignity, opportunity and a state of their own.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
A call by the US for a swift resumption of peace talks between the Israelis and the Palestinians and an early conclusion to the talks is a scenario that is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
Every US president over last several decades has wanted to be able to bring resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, all to no avail. Even some Middle Eastern leaders have begun to make a more dedicated effort in the peace process as it relates to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The quest for peace in the Middle East is at the top of most foreign policy agendas for world leaders and yet this peace has eluded all participants.
Bible prophecy does tell us that there is coming one world leader who will be able to bring about peace, at least for a season, in the Middle East. Daniel 9:27 reveals that this world leader, a false Messiah known to Bible prophecy students as the Antichrist, will appear and bring peace to the boiling pot of the Middle East. I believe this world leader is on the stage right now, ready for the final drama to unfold.
All efforts to bring peace to the Middle East are actually setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
