The IDF Chief says a Gaza incursion is inevitable and Hezbollah is closing on Israel's northern border

The Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) General Gabi Ashkenazi told the Israeli Cabinet that the only solution to the continued Palestinian rocket attacks into Israel Proper is to implement a ground incursion into the Gaza Strip.

Also during the briefing, Ashkenazi reported that Hezbollah is trying to cross over the Litani River and into Southern Lebanon, despite the ban of such action as set forth in the UN resolution 1701 which is the cease-fire agreement for the IDF-Hezbollah conflict of last summer.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The warning to the Israeli Cabinet from the IDF chief of staff that Hamas in the South and Hezbollah in the North are both preparing for a major conflict fits the prophetic scenario written thousands of years ago for today and according to Bible prophecy, it will come to pass.

Since the confrontation between Israel and Hezbollah this last summer, there have been rumors that there may well be a repeat performance of this conflict again this coming summer. In fact, there are some very profound rumors that the conflict could begin within the next several weeks. With the report to the Israeli Cabinet from IDF Chief of Staff General Gabi Ashkenazi that the IDF must enter the Gaza Strip and that Hezbollah is headed towards the Israeli northern border, another major conflict seems to be in the making.

Couple this report with the word from Syria that they will take the Golan Heights, either diplomatically or by military force, and you have the prophetic scenario found in God's Word written down centuries ago by ancient Jewish prophets. Daniel wrote that Syria would make the first move against Israel in a major attack, that's Daniel 11:40-43. The Psalmist in a prophetic pronouncement said in Psalm 83 that Syria would be joined by Iran, the patron for Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon, and by the Palestinians, the Hamas terror group in the South, the Gaza Strip area.

With the report to the Israeli Cabinet from the IDF Chief of Staff General Gabi Ashkenazi it is very plain to see that the stage is set for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Palestinian terrorists are learning from Iraqi terrorists

A leader of the military wing of the PA President Mahmoud Abbas' political party says that the Iraqi insurgents are setting the pattern for the armed struggle of the occupiers of their land - the Israelis.

Abu Ahmed, a leader in the terrorist group the Al Aqsa Martyr's Brigades, says that the Palestinians are learning from the Iraqis how to fight the war against Israel and that the coming victory in Iraq for the insurgents proves that the next step is a victory over Israel "the oppressors of the Palestinian people." These Palestinian militants are committed to fight what they call the Israeli occupation of their land until the creation of a Palestinian state over all the land that is today Israel.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The report that Palestinian terrorists are learning from the terrorists in Iraq is actually setting the stage for the End Times scenario that will bring to an end these two people groups, that is according to Bible prophecy.

Of all the terrorist activities covered almost daily in every media outlet around the world, the Palestinian terrorists and the Iraqi insurgents are the main focus of almost every news article. Now, with the Palestinian terrorists claiming that they are learning how to deal with occupiers from the Iraqi terrorists, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict may be at the point of more intense fighting.

These two peoples - the Palestinians and the Iraqi insurgents - are two people groups with a destiny, prophetically. The Iraqis are the Babylonians of biblical times and the Palestinians are the descendants of Esau, twin brother of Jacob - who fathered the Jewish people. The ancient Jewish prophets Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Obadiah, and Malachi all speak of the total demise of the Palestinian people at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Jeremiah and Isaiah, along with John - the writer of the book of Revelation - foretold the total destruction of Babylon, which is modern-day Iraq.

The Palestinian terrorists learning from the Iraqi terrorists does indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The Turkish military calls for a secular president in the upcoming elections

The population of Turkey is made up of 99 percent of its people in the Islamic faith; however, it has not been a radical Islamic nation and the Turkish military plans to keep it that way as the custodians of the secular Islamist state.

With the upcoming presidential election, the Islamist political party of Turkish PM Tayyip Erdogan has offered the party's second in command and now foreign minister of Turkey, Abdullah Gul, as the one to lead Turkey into the future. Turkey has been a republic since 1923, with a strict separation of religion and state, and the Turkish military wants it to remain that way in spite of Erdogan and Gul's Islamist roots and livestock.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A militant Islamic leader as president of Turkey will set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The Turkish presidential election may well set the stage for the End Times scenario foretold in the Bible with the election of Turkey's FM Abdullah Gul. PM Erdogan, the former mayor of Istanbul removed from that position because of his Islamist philosophy, stepped aside for his FM Abdullah Gul to run as president. As a Turkey watcher, I've observed the movement towards a radical Islamic state over the years as it relates to Turkey; that scenario fits the prophetic scenario found in Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

Ezekiel, the ancient Jewish prophet, wrote some 2,500 years ago of the modern-day state of Turkey when he mentioned in Ezekiel 38:2, 6 the four sections of biblical Turkey. Meshech and Tugal in verse two and Gomer and Togarmah in verse six are the four parts in biblical times that we know today as Turkey. Turkey will join with Russia, the Magog in verse two of Ezekiel 38, and other nations like Syria, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Egypt who will attack Israel with the plan of destroying the Jewish state.

An Islamist as president of Turkey is indeed a stage setter for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The Vatican has branded homosexual marriage as evil and abortion as terrorism

The Vatican's second highest ranking doctrinal official forcefully branded homosexual marriage as evil and abortion and euthanasia as a form of "terrorism with a human face."

Archbishop Angelo Amato, the secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, referred to abortion clinics as slaughterhouses of human beings and parliaments of so-called civilized nations establishing laws contrary to human nature when these laws approve of marriage between people of the same sex. The archbishop accused the media of manipulating language to hide the tragic reality of the facts in both the abortion issue and homosexual marriage.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The pronouncement by a Vatican official that gay marriage is evil and abortion is terrorism has an interesting connection to Bible prophecy.

The declaration by Archbishop Angelo Amato from the Vatican that abortion is terrorism and gay marriage is evil has drawn attention to these two very controversial issues. Abortion rights people and gay rights activists have voiced much concern about the announcement from the Vatican. The truth is, that the Bible does have something to say about both issues as they relate to the Last Days.

Jeremiah, an ancient Jewish prophet, stated in the first chapter of his prophecy, verse 5, that before Jeremiah was formed in his mother's womb, the Lord knew him as a person; that would reveal to us that killing a pre-born child would be murder or terrorism. Dr. Luke, who wrote the book of Acts and the gospel by his name, wrote 2,000 years ago that one sign of the Coming of Jesus Christ in the Last Days would be that our world would be as it was in the days of Lot, Luke 17:28. These were days which witnessed the sin against God of homosexuality. These two passages and these two issues are prevalent in our world today; that then gives us the understanding of the nearness of the Second Coming of Christ.

Let me remind you that the Rapture precedes the Lord's Second Coming by seven years, indicating that we must be close to the time of the Rapture.

Israel celebrates its birthday while still at war after 59 years

Israel rang in its 59th Independence Day with the acting President Dalia Itzik saying that the Jewish state has been living for 59 years in a war, the end of which is not yet in sight.

The acting Israeli president finished her comments at the opening ceremonies for Israel's birthday celebration by stating resolutely that Israel has won before and will win again, because there is no other choice. The Jewish state of Israel is under high security alert as families celebrate Independence Day by visiting military installations, having family outings, and attending the traditional fireworks displays.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Israel's Independence Day celebration was a reminder that Israel is still at war 59 years after its birth date which is actually in lockstep with Bible prophecy for Israel's End Time scenario.

The acting president of the Jewish state reminded the whole country with her speech at the opening ceremonies of Independence Day by stating that Israel has been living for 59 years in a war, the end of which is not yet in sight. Dalia Itzik's sobering thoughts were coupled with the reality of the threat posed by those nations who would like to bring about Israel's demise, nations like Iran and Syria, and terrorist organizations like Hezbollah and Hamas. Even in the real world of Middle East conflict, the 59th birthday of the Jewish state of Israel is living proof that God's Prophetic Word will be fulfilled.

The ancient Jewish prophets: men like Ezekiel, Micah, Daniel, and Joel all reveal the truth of the reemergence of the Jewish people into a nation, one promised by the most high God and these same prophecies reveal the truth about the aggression of Israel's enemies in the Last Days. These prophecies are found in Ezekiel 34, Micah 7, Daniel 11, and Joel 2.

The 59th birthday of the Jewish state of Israel is evidence that God keeps His promises to the Jewish people and that the Lord knows what will happen to the Jewish state.

Israel celebrates Independence Day with a growing population

This year, on Israel's Independence Day, the country's population stands at 7 million, one hundred and fifty thousand residents, almost nine times its population of 806 thousand at the time of the state's creation in 1948 with 76 percent of that population being Jewish.

According to the Israeli Central Statistics Bureau, five million, four hundred and fifteen thousand of the residence are Jewish with twenty percent of the population, one million four hundred and twenty five thousand Arab, and since last April there has been an increase in the population of over a hundred thousand made up of newborn babies and new immigrants. In 1948, Tel Aviv was the only city in Israel with over one hundred thousand population. Now, forty-four percent of the entire population lives in large cities with Jerusalem and Tel Aviv being the largest.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Israel's population today, nine times its population at its birth in 1948, is evidence that Bible prophecy is being fulfilled.

As one looks at the numbers in the population growth of the modern-day Jewish state of Israel since its birth in 1948, he would have to say there is something supernatural about what has happened. In 1948, Tel Aviv was the largest city in Israel with a population of around two hundred and fifty thousand and the population for the entire Jewish state was only eight hundred thousand. Several waves of immigrants from the former Soviet Union and Ethiopia, plus another hundred nations of the world account for this rapid increase in the population of Israel. No one knows the exact numbers of Jewish people who have come from their home countries around the world to live in the land of their forefathers because of religious reasons, but every Israeli says that this is the land that God promised to the Jewish people.

In Ezekiel 34, the Lord tells the prophet that He will reach into the world and gather the Jews where they had been scattered, that's verses 11, 12, and 13. The Lord also told the prophet Ezekiel that He would give them a land and they would be prosperous in that land, that's verses 14 and 15.

Israel today, nine times its population at its birth in 1948, is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy is being fulfilled.

Iraq may have twice as much oil as has been thought

The potential presence of an additional 100 billion barrels in the Western desert in Iraq would make this Middle East nation one of the world's biggest oil suppliers and mean that Iraq holds twice as much oil in its reserves as has been thought.

If this is true, as the most comprehensive independent study of Iraq's resources seems to indicate, it would raise Iraq from the world's third largest source of oil to a position second only to Saudi Arabia and overtaking Iran. The development of Iraq's oil fields depends on an improvement in the security environment, which at the time remains very difficult, and with only one-third of Iraq's oil fields currently producing.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

One of the world's largest sources of oil located in Iraq is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Critics of the Bush policy on the war in Iraq have said that the President is more concerned about flow of oil out of Iraq than he has been about the lives of the men and women that have been killed in Iraq. The Bush White House was concerned and is still concerned about the catastrophic events that could develop if the flow of oil to the West was stopped. Alert! Economic planners, watch the oil industry to stay abreast of the economic system of our world today. Even slight changes in number of barrels of oil that pass into the West everyday could change our world dramatically in the short run and in the long run as well. US planners see the Iraqi oil fields as the source for the rise in prominence and power of Iraq in the Middle East and maybe all around the world.

One thing is for sure, according to Bible prophecy, Iraq one day soon will become the political, governmental, economic capital of the world according to Revelation 18. John, who wrote the book of Revelation 2,000 years ago, revealed that Babylon, Revelation 18, would be a literal city in the Last Days and the headquarters for this one-world system with the Antichrist, the false messiah setup to rule this present-known world. Babylon, in Revelation 18, also found in Isaiah 13-14, and Jeremiah 50-51, is modern-day Iraq.

Iraq's massive oil supply, most of it untouched, will be used to set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Syria is ready for war with Israel

"Syria grows stronger everyday and is ready for war with Israel - who is a bitter enemy and who refuses to withdraw from the Golan Heights", the comments of Syrian President Bashar Assad to an Arabic newspaper in the Middle East.

Assad said that he does not know whether war will take place, but Syria does not disregard this possibility which is the same threat given by the Syrian information minister who said, "If Israel rejects the Arab League peace proposal, resistance will be the only way to liberate the Golan Heights". Israeli PM Ehud Olmert said that Israel had no intention of starting the war, but is indeed talking about defending itself if Syria decides to attack the Jewish state.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The threat from Syrian President Bashar Assad that his country is ready for a war with Israel is a page out of Bible prophecy for the End Times.

Since the Hezbollah-Israeli war this last summer, the Syrians have been preparing for a confrontation with Israel both through radical political rhetoric and ratcheting up its military preparedness. Israeli intelligence reports indicate that Syria has increased its armament and intensified its training program with the Syrian ground troops to a Hezbollah-type fighting machine. Now the leaders of both countries, Israel and Syria, are talking about a possible armed conflict between the two nations. This scenario is in reality a page out of Bible prophecy for the Last Days with the two players mentioned in the prophetic scriptures on alert for the other to attack.

The ancient Jewish prophet Daniel wrote some 2,500 years ago that Syria, referred to as the king of the North in Daniel 11:40-43, will be the first Arab or Muslim nation to attack the Jewish state. As Syria leads the way, many other Middle Eastern nations will align themselves with Syria and come against Israel.

Syrian President Bashar Assad's statement that Syria is ready for war with Israel is the setting of the stage for the final drama in our world today.

Mankind must move to the stars to survive - Stephen Hawkins

Speaking at an international conference at Hong Kong University, the author of the international best seller, "A Brief History of Time", who is also professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge, Stephen Hawking said that the survival of the human race depends on its ability to find new homes elsewhere in the universe because there is an increasing risk that a disaster will destroy the earth.

The British astrophysicist told a news conference in Hong Kong that humans could have a permanent base on the Moon in 20 years and a colony on Mars in the next 40 years. Hawking said that new observational results and theoretical advances are coming in rapidly, and that we are getting closer to answering the old question, "Where did we come from?"

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The declaration that humanity will live on the moon and Mars within 50 years and that we may be near to knowing the origins of the universe, statements made by the world renowned scientists Stephen Hawking, are a page out of Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

The acclaimed British Physicist Stephen Hawking, speaking recently at an international conference at the University of Hong Kong, told the attendees that we do not yet have good theoretical understanding of the observation of the expansion of the universe. Hawking added that without such understanding, we cannot be sure of the future of the universe. Hawking also said his unfulfilled ambitions, among many, were how the universe began and how the human race can survive in the next 100 years.

Interestingly, God's Word has the answers to all of Hawking's questions, and his questions set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled. The Creation account in Genesis 1 reveals the origins of the universe, revealed by the One who brought everything into existence, the One who was the only observer of this event. The Gospel accounts of the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ tells of how man can survive, not only for 100 years, but for eternity. II Peter 3 foretold the time when seemingly intelligent man would be dumb on purpose and deny that God created all things.

This, in fact, would be evidence that Jesus was coming and that it could be very soon. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Several European leaders say the EU does not need a constitution

The British and Dutch PMs (Prime Ministers) say that the EU does not need a whole new constitution, just limited changes to existing treaties with the focus on changes that will make the EU work better.

Amending existing treaties could include a clarification of the divisions of power between the member-states and also the rules for enlargement of the EU as well as the proposal to divide the member-states into regions for the purpose of managing the emerging super power. Either a EU constitution or amended treaties must include: an EU president, a foreign minister with a stated foreign policy, the continuation of a common monetary system with the Euro as its currency, and an expanding military force.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The call by the British and Dutch PMs for no EU constitution, but instead changing the existing treaties to confirm the establishment of the super state of Europe is in line to fulfill the prophetic scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

During the 50th anniversary year of the EU, many EU leaders are working to bring together the dream of the founders who signed the Treaty of Rome fifty years ago. It seems to be a consensus among the EU member-states that the permanent president must be a strong leader so that he can impact the world as he has at his hand in this super state a common currency and a military force that is getting stronger day by day.

Does it seem to you that I'm reading from the pages of Bible prophecy - the pages that reveal the revived Roman Empire of the future - as I give this report? Daniel 7 describes the coming revived Roman Empire with the Antichrist as a strong leader who will setup a power base in Europe. This Antichrist will have a large military might at his disposal and a super state with a common monetary system, exactly what is emerging in the infrastructure of the EU.

As the British and Dutch Pms see it, with a few changes in the treaties, this super state will be in place.

Israeli Defense Minister: Iran is the worst threat to the Jewish people since Hitler

Israel marked Holocaust Remembrance Day with sirens sounding across the Jewish state as the country came to a stand still for two minutes in remembrance of the six million victims of the genocide in WWII under the Nazi regime of Adolf Hitler.

Even as Israel remembers their lost loved ones, the Israeli Defense Minister said that Iran's nuclear program is the most serious threat faced by the Jewish people since the Nazi Holocaust.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A statement by the Israeli Defense Minister that Iran is today the biggest threat since Hitler's Holocaust, a statement actually made on Israel's Holocaust Remembrance Day, is a reminder that Israel's worst holocaust is yet to come, that is according to Bible prophecy. The horrific rhetoric heard from the Iranian President Ahmadinejad that there never was a Holocaust when Hitler's Nazi regime killed 6 million Jews, and his recent statement that Israel must be wiped off the map, has caused many Israeli officials to look at the Iranian threat as a greater threat than Hitler's dastardly acts during WWII.

As the world stands by and watches Iran develop a Nuclear Weapon of Mass Destruction (NWMD), Israel is urging world leaders to stop this madman, President Ahmadinejad, from moving his country into a position of no return with a weapon that could destroy the Jewish state. Iran's NWMD may or may not be used against Israel, only time will tell, but a fatal blow to the Jewish people will happen in the Last Days.

The ancient Jewish prophet Zechariah wrote 2,500 years ago that during the time of Jacob's Trouble, the terrible Tribulation Period of the future, two out of every three Jews will be killed. The worst Holocaust is yet to come with the death of eight million Jews, that's found in Zechariah 13:8

Holocaust remembrance Day reminds us that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Global Jihad is on the rise

Islamic expert and historian Bernard Lewis and former CIA director James Woolsey, both speaking at the Herzliya Conference in Israel, warned that global Jihad was on the rise, with Lewis adding that the Islamic revolution in Iran in 1979 signified the first major victory in the global Islamic push toward that goal.

Lewis said that the whole Arab and Muslim world is experiencing the second stage of the Islamic revolution in Iraq and James Woolsey lamented the fate of Europe which he sees as already having been compromised in what he calls World War IV, the third having been the Cold War. Both Lewis and Woolsey warned that the Iranian Shiite sect is not the only threat posed by Islam, they included the radical Wahabism of the Sunni sect of Islam as well.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The warning of a global Jihad, a worldwide holy war, from a former director of the world's largest intelligence agency has a similarity to the prophetic scenario that is found in Bible prophecy for the End Times.

At the Herzliya Conference in Israel, a gathering of academics, politicos, military personnel and the media, the warning of a global Jihad on the near horizon rang out through the meeting halls of the conference confirmed by two experts on Islam. All of the Islamic world, including the Shiite sect as well as the Sunni sect are preparing for what the ancient Jewish prophet Joel revealed would happen in the Last Days.

Joel, in chapter 2:2-3, reveals the prophecy of the largest military militia ever to move on the Earth, they will make their way towards Jerusalem to destroy the Jewish state. This army will be a Muslim army as confirmed by the nations involved in the alignment of nations found in Daniel 11, Ezekiel 38, and Psalm 83. Ezekiel 38:18-39:6 says that this Muslim militia involved in global Jihad will be destroyed early on in the seven year Tribulation Period soon after the Rapture.

The warning of the rise of global Jihad is evidence we're quickly approaching the time when Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Russia's Head of National Security is in Israel to discuss the Iranian situation

Igor Ivanov, the head of Russia's National Security Council, is in Israel and the Russian leader will be speaking with Israeli leaders in discussions focused on Tehran and its nuclear program.

Diplomatic sources said that Ivanov visits Israel once or twice a year for an ongoing dialog between the Israeli and Russian national security councils with both Israeli and Russian officials disputing Iranian President Ahmadinejad's claim about the development of their nuclear program. Russian-Israeli relations have been strained as of late; however, Russian-Palestinian relations have become very strong in recent days.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The head of the Russian National Security Council in Israel to discuss the Iranian issue is that is a precursor to the scenario that is found in Bible prophecy.

With the recent pronouncement by Iran's President Ahmadinejad that Iran had entered the nuclear club, the announcement seemed to be saying that Iran is very close to having a Nuclear Weapon of Mass Destruction (NWMD). Russian leaders have disputed the Iranian claim, but at the same time have supplied Iran with all the technology and the technicians to accomplish the goal of a nuclear armed Iranian military. Israeli officials and Israeli intelligence agencies say that Iran is the number one enemy of the Jewish state. Many Israeli leaders believe that if the world will not step up and confront Iran over its nuclear program, the Israelis will take care of the issue. Even as I say this, I'm reminded that these two nations, Russia and Iran, both play a large role in Bible prophecy.

The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel wrote some 2,500 years ago that the Magog of Ezekiel 38:2, which is modern-day Russia, would lead a coalition of nations against Israel. Another player in this scenario would be Iran, the Persia of Ezekiel 38:5.

The stage is set, all the actors are in place, especially Russia and Iran. The curtain is about to go up for the final act in Bible prophecy.

Pope Benedict calls the divisions among Christians a scandal to the world

In a meeting with the religious leader of the Orthodox churches worldwide at his ancient enclave in Turkey, a Muslim country, Pope Benedict called the divisions among Christians a scandal to the world.

The Pope also appeared to send conflicting signals to Turkey's political establishment as he recalled the deep roots of Christianity in Europe, this after the Pope's endorsement for the Muslim nation to become a member state in the European Union (EU). This meeting between Pope Benedict and Patriarch Bartholomew is part of Benedict's plan to fully unite these two ancient branches of Christianity which split nearly 1,000 years ago.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The ecumenical goal of Pope Benedict to unite the Catholic Church with the Orthodox Church after a 1,000 year split is a precursor to a scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

The very controversial trip to the Muslim country of Turkey by the head of the Catholic Church, Pope Benedict, has included a political significance as well as a religious significance. The Pope's trip to Turkey has been an endeavor to mend fences between the Papacy and the Muslim world. Included in the Pope's pronouncements of his desire to develop closer relationships between the Muslim and Christian world, Benedict also has endorsed Turkey's effort to to become a member state in the EU which would make them the first Muslim state in the EU. Calling the divisions in the Christian world a scandal, the Pope also moved forward in his goal to reunite the Christian world under one umbrella.

This scenario is a perfect match for what will be the plan of Antichrist during the first 3 1/2 years of the Tribulation Period as found in Revelation 17, a one-world religion headquartered in Rome, Italy. This worldwide ecumenical church of the future coming together with the approval of the revived Roman Empire of which the EU is is a prototype.

The Pope's statements while in Turkey seem to be setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

In contradiction to Israeli policy, the Jewish population has increased in Judea and Samaria

According to figures released by the Israeli Interior Ministry there has been an increase in the Jewish population of Judea and Samaria over the last last year; however, the statistics did not indicate how many of the additional residents were children in the Jewish settlements and how many had moved there from other places.

Another factor that played into the population increase was the immigration from the English speaking West with more than three thousand immigrants from the US and Canada coming to Israel with many of these new immigrants having a religious connection to Judea and Samaria. The fastest growth rate was among the very religious Jews already living in Judea and Samaria with additional Jews from Jerusalem moving to the area because of biblical beliefs.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The increasing population in Judea and Samaria, with most of that increase among the very religious Jews, is a page out of Bible prophecy for the End Times.

The former PM of Israel, Ariel Sharon, once accused the religious Jews of having a Messianic complex, referring to their belief that God was preparing them for the coming Messiah by giving them the land that He had promised to give them before the Messiah would come. In conversations with religious residents of Judea and Samaria, one will determine that indeed they are living in the land that God has given them, even in these troublesome times. Among these residents of Judea and Samaria, there is a stubbornness about them that says they will never leave the land that God has given them.

This present scenario is a page out of Bible prophecy for the time just prior to the coming Messiah. Ezekiel 34:11-31 states eighteen times that the Lord will find the Jews scattered across the four corners of the Earth and bring them into the land of Judea and Samaria. Ezekiel 36 some thirty-five times refers to this promised land and said that it will prosper under the Jewish caretakership.

The population increase is evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The British military envisions a world 30 yrs. from now with computer chips in the brain and electromagnetic pulse weapons

The British Ministry of Defense Development Concepts and Doctrines Center has drawn up a report that envisions a world 30 years from now with information computer chips in the brain, electromagnetic pulse weapons, the countries in the Middle East increasing by 132%, and flash mobs, groups of terrorists rapidly mobilized.

The report discusses issues such as the growing economic importance of India and China, the militarization of space, and the use of the internet for news reporting.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The recently released British military report forecasting our world 30 years from now has information similar to the End Times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

Many nations of the world have research teams within their military who are endeavoring to look in a future strategic context down the road 20 to 30 years. The British Ministry of Defense has put together such a team that lays out a world only envisioned in science fiction up until now. This 90 page probability-based report includes: computer chips in the brain, the explicit use of chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons and devices delivered by unmanned vehicles, and the massive increase in the population of the Middle East. This scenario sounds like the world described in Bible prophecy for the End Times.

Prophecy, found in Joel 2:2-4 along with Ezekiel 38 and Daniel 11:40-44, reveals vast populations in the Middle East providing the militant militias for the Last Days. Revelation 13:16-17 speaks of some kind of a mark, maybe a chip, in the hand or the forehead of individuals who would follow the Antichrist. Revelation also speaks of military attacks from outer space, that's Revelation 9.

This world, 30 years down the road envisioned by the British military, may well be much closer, that is according to Bible prophecy.

Nine Filipinos marked Easter celebrations with crucifixion

A group of nine Filipinos have taken a literal interpretation of Easter celebration by crucifying themselves to honor Jesus Christ as they were nailed to crosses in a gory reenactment of the death of Jesus. The gruesome annual ritual in a small village about 50 miles north of Manilla, Philippines, attracts tourists from around the world, some of whom are splattered with blood from lines of men themselves flagellating with bamboo whips on route to the crucifixion site using paddles tipped with glass to rip their skin wider.

Meanwhile, in Jerusalem, the site of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ some 2,000 years ago, Christian pilgrims from around the world mark the Passion Week events under tight security even as the Jewish people mark Passover, the first of the seven Jewish holy days.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Self-imposed flagellation followed by a gruesome crucifixion to mark the Easter celebrations is evidence that we are living in the Last Days, seemingly close to the time of our Lord's Second Coming, that is according to Bible prophecy.

The very thought that tourists from around the world would crowd into a small Filipino village to watch men allow themselves to be beaten with bamboo whips and broken glass embedded paddles is a very gruesome thought; to then watch these same men endure the pain to atone for their sins or to bring blessings to their families is an experience that indicates the Last Days are here and the Lord's return is close at hand, that is according to the prophecies written by the Apostle Paul some 2,000 years ago.

Paul wrote to Timothy, his co-worker, that he could recognize the Last Days when he saw men having a form of godliness, but denying the power of the work of Jesus Christ for us; that's found in II Timothy 3:5. Self-imposed flagellation and the crucifixion by these Filipino men is not only a gruesome experience, but it has nothing to do with atonement for one's sins. The Apostle Paul says that from such religious activity should one turn away; that's is also found in verse five.

The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is indeed the Gospel and all that is needed for the atonement of sin, and by the way it is also proof that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The Iraqi government is set to give major oil contracts to China, India, Vietnam and Indonesia, not America

Despite claims by critics that the Bush administration invaded Iraq to take control of its oil, the first contracts with major oil firms from Iraq's government are set to go not to US companies but rather to companies from China, India, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

Iraqi lawmakers are struggling to pass an agreement on exactly how the oil revenues will be shared, a dollar amount of worth difficult to determine due to the security costs, drilling conditions, and the exact terms to be offered by Baghdad. Petroleum engineers say that Iraq's oil production, now at around two million per day, can go as high as six million barrels per day, that would make Iraq the number four producer behind Russia, Saudi Arabia, and the US.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The oil production of Iraq will play a key role in the fulfillment of the prophetic scenario for Iraq found in Bible prophecy.

At the very outset of the US invasion of Iraq to overthrow the Saddam Hussein regime, critics of President Bush said that he was doing so strictly for the oil of Iraq. President Bush said that it was not the only reason for taking US military into Iraq, but if one thinks logically, that is not a bad reason for US interest in Iraq and in fact the entire Middle East. Oil has made the Middle Eastern nations very wealthy and set them on the world stage to fulfill Bible prophecy for that region.

Every major oil producer in the Middle East and Europe are listed in Bible prophecy: Russia in Ezekiel 38:2 known as Magog, Saudi Arabia in Psalm 83:6 referred to as the Ishmaelites, Iran listed as Persia in Ezekiel 38:5, and Iraq known as biblical Babylon in Isaiah 13-14, Jeremiah 50-51, and Revelation 18.

All the End Time players are on the stage of the world. They're there because of oil, and the End Times drama is about to play out.

Thousands of Jews gather at the Western Wall in Jerusalem for the Priestly Blessing

Members of a Jewish activist group, the Temple Mount Faithful, entered the Western Wall complex at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem in hope of entering the Temple Mount itself to conduct their holy day prayers, but were refused entrance to the Temple Mount.

Jerusalem police were deployed throughout the area to prevent any outbreaks of aggressive action as thousands of observant Jews also gathered at the Western Wall for the annual Priestly Blessing. There were up to 10,000 men claiming to be of the priestly tribe of Israel and preparing to be priests at a coming Jewish temple in Jerusalem who received the Priestly Blessing near the location where the next Jewish temple will be built.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Thousands of Jewish men who claim to be of the priestly tribe gathering at the Temple Mount to receive the Priestly Blessing, is evidence that we are quickly approaching the time of a Jewish temple in Jerusalem, that is according to Bible prophecy.

Every year during Passover week, thousands of religious Jewish men who claim to be members of the priestly tribe of Israel gather at the Temple Mount as part of their preparations to serve in the coming Jewish temple. The Priestly Blessing is given to them for the purpose of authenticating their claim as the ones who will serve in the next temple on the Temple Mount. For a number of years, up to 30,000 Jewish men have been studying for the priestly duties and all of their garments have been made and are in storage. The implements for worship and the sacrifices at the temple have been made and they even know where the Ark of the Covenant is resting, awaiting the next temple. The reestablished Sanhedrin is prepared to name the high priest to serve in this coming temple. All preparations are ready for the Jewish temple that Jesus and the prophets foretold would be built in Jerusalem.

Jesus confirmed that in Matthew 24:15, Daniel in Daniel 9:27, the Apostle Paul in II Thessalonians 2:4, and John who wrote the book of Revelation in Revelation 11:1.

Priestly Blessings pronounced at the Western Wall in Jerusalem are indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The UN's new Sec-Gen. has expanded his authority during his recent Middle East trip

The UN's new Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon, made a start at putting a stamp of personal authority on his new job in a recent fast-paced Middle East trip as he visited some of the most fractious and confounding areas of his new responsibility.

Ban sought out leaders from countries that make a habit of snubbing the UN as he visited: Egypt, Israel, the Palestinian areas, Jordan, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia, as he was greeted in palaces and airport ceremonies where he was met by full dressed military displays that welcome heads of state. The secretary general demonstrated his ambitions in the compromising world of international diplomacy and recognized his power resides in enhancing key proposals with international legitimacy and respectability.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The show of expanded authority displayed by the Middle East trip of the UN's new secretary general was a prototype of the coming world leader revealed in Bible prophecy.

On becoming Secretary General of the UN last January, Ban Ki Moon cautioned people not to mistake his Asian modesty for indecisiveness. The first public pronouncement made by Mr. Ban was focused on the Middle East and resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The secretary general's recent Middle East trip did indeed put his own personal stamp of authority on his new responsibilities. Often regarded as indecisive, the UN - under the leadership of Ban Ki Moon - promises to have a more take charge attitude along with its international legitimacy and respectability. A strong world leader at the head of an international, governmental, political body is indeed a prototype of the coming world dictator known in biblical prophecy as the Antichrist.

Daniel and John the Apostle, both Jewish prophets, speak of this world leader and his take charge attitude. Daniel 11:36-39 says that this coming dictator will be a powerful leader that is a military genius and focuses his authority on the Middle East. John, in Revelation 13, 17, and 18 reveals how this coming world leader, the Antichrist, will bring peace to the Middle East in collaboration with a one-world religion and a one-world government headquartered in Europe or the Middle East.

Ban Ki Moon's recent Middle East trip does set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Olmert calls for peace talks with Arab leaders - Saudi King "Give up land first"

Standing beside German Chancellor Merkel, the Israeli PM Ehud Olmert - at a recent meeting in Jerusalem - invited the Arab leaders to meet with him and discuss the Saudi Peace Initiative; and he encouraged the Arab leaders to include the PA President Mahmoud Abbas.

In response to Olmert's invitation, Saudi King Abdullah said that Israel should withdraw from Arab territories and allow for the creation of a Palestinian state before Arab leaders will meet with Israeli leaders which would be an act of recognizing the Jewish state. Chancellor Merkel said that Germany and the EU encouraged the Arab leaders to consider Olmert's invitation adding that without the support of the Arab states in the peace process, a solution would not be achieved.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Talked about peace in the Middle East that includes: the EU, Israel, and the Arab nations is a precursor for the End Times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

As world leaders continue to meet with Israeli and Arab leaders to discuss the peace process, the situation in the Middle East moves even closer to what Bible prophecy reveals will happen in the future. Chancellor Merkel - the leader of German and the temporary president of the EU - on her recent Middle East trip, was witness to a major move by the Israeli PM Ehud Olmert who invited the Arab leaders to meet and discuss the Saudi Peace Initiative. That gesture by the Israeli PM was somewhat rejected by Saudi King Abdullah who wants Israel to give up disputed territories, now controlled by Israel, before the Arab leaders will meet, and so goes the Middle East peace process. This scenario is setting the stage; however, for the End Times prophecies to be fulfilled.

Ezekiel wrote of a time of peace among Middle Eastern nations in Ezekiel 38:8, 11, a peace that will actually be a short-term peace. Daniel wrote of a peace treaty confirmed with the assistance of a coming world leader, the Antichrist, who will come out of the EU and bring about the much longed for peace, that's Daniel 7:11 and 9:27.

Israeli PM Ehud Olmert's invitation to Arab leaders to talk about peace is truly a stage setter for the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Jews around the world will sit tonight as families to remember the Exodus from Egyptian bondage

Under high security, Jewish families here in Israel will gather tonight to rehearse the story of the Exodus, 3,500 years ago from the Egyptian bondage, at a special meal, the Passover Seder, that will be similar to the meal that they ate on the night that Moses led them out of the Egyptian slavery of over 400 years and towards the promised land.

Passover and unleavened bread are the first two of the seven Jewish feasts that almost all Jewish people celebrate on a yearly basis, feasts that reveal the historic background of the Jewish people.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

As Jewish people around the world celebrate Passover, which is the feast that commemorates the Exodus from Egyptian bondage, there is a reminder that Jesus Christ has or will fulfill prophetically, all of the Jewish feasts. A close look at the record of the Gospel accounts of the week referred to as Passion week, the week that led up to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, will reveal that indeed Jesus did fulfill at least the four spring feasts.

More on that in a moment, but let me remind you that all seven of the Jewish feasts had not only a historic significance, but they also have an agricultural and a prophetic importance as well. Jesus Christ was crucified on Passover, the afternoon of Passover, after eating of the Passover Seder the night before. The Lord was buried on Unleavened Bread, the second of the spring feasts, and Jesus was resurrected on the Feast of First Fruits, which Leviticus 23 said followed the Passover on the next Sunday.

On the Feast of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came and filled the new believers on the feast that Christ said would be a fulfillment of His departure; that's John 16. That leaves three fall feasts which Christ will fulfill as well on the proper day sequences. Jesus Christ comes back to the earth at the Second Coming, not the Rapture but His Second Coming, on the Feast of Trumpets. Jesus will enter the Temple that He builds here in Jerusalem and goes into the Holy of Holies on the Day of Atonement and He starts the Millennial Kingdom on the Feast of Tabernacles.

Celebration of Passover is indeed a reminder that Bible prophecy in the Jewish feast will be fulfilled.
