The Jews have been celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles that will be celebrated forever

Listen to Today's Program Play

JD: And David you’ve been there many times to celebrate Feast of Tabernacles. Christian Pilgrims come from all over the world into Jerusalem to join in the celebration with the Feast of Tabernacles and their Jewish counter parts that are worshiping on this last of the Jewish Feast. It’s an exciting time in Jerusalem isn’t it?

DD: Well Jimmy it definitely is. It was always my favorite time of the year to be in Jerusalem. To see people decorated, what foods they eat. It’s a real uplifting time a great time and of course Biblical. One of the three Feast that the Jewish people were told in the Bible to go up to Jerusalem to celebrate. So it’s always wonderful. But of course there’s always the tensions around the region of special time indeed.

Christians note that in the book of Zechariah it says the holiday will be continued to be celebrated in the millennial when the Lord reigns and that all the nations will participate. It doesn’t state that about any other holiday so clearly. So this will continue into eternity and that gives a lot of people Christians as well as Jews the emphasis to start celebrating it right now and many are all across the world.

JD: Yes and especially the Jews that have made their way over to Jerusalem to do exactly that. By the way that’s Zechariah 14:16. That is really an exciting statement made by the prophet Zechariah of course inspired of the Holy Spirit. But each and every year all of us will go to Jerusalem where the teaching by Jesus will take place will be there on the Feast of Tabernacles. That is going to be a great time in the future when we continue to get together won’t it David?

DD: Oh absolutely and it’s just a wonderful foretaste of what’s coming ahead and literally seeing the people from the four corners of the earth in Jerusalem already today not just waiting for the millennium but already today doing that. It’s just a foretaste but an exciting one indeed.

JD: David Dolan with the details behind the Feasts that Jews and Christians will celebrate forever.

We report this information because it is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

David Dolan gave us details on the Feast of Tabernacles. It’s a seven-day Feast that the Jews celebrate on an annual bases. That was dictated by Leviticus 23:39-44. This Feast which is the last of the seven Jewish Feasts that God gave the Jewish people found there in Leviticus 23 will be a Feast that the whole world will celebrate forever, that’s Zechariah 14:16. Everyone will come to Jerusalem once a year for that Feast of Tabernacles. You realize of course that the seven Jewish Feasts speak of the past for the Jewish people and their future as well.

Priests that will serve in the next Temple in Jerusalem offered "priestly blessings" this week to worshipers from all over the world

Listen to Today's Program Play

JD: Feast of Tabernacles the last of these seven Feasts are times when the priests will offer a blessing to all of those who gather there in the Western Wall Plaza. I think it was the Ambassador from the United States to Israel David Friedman he said he thought there were about a hundred thousand people there and with the priest offering the blessing to all of the worshipers.

WM: Many of the holidays of course that we do celebrate are both combinations of an agricultural aspect as well as a very religious and observant time and all with the holy Temple. Even though we do not have the Temple we try or attempt as much as possible to recreate scenes or acts that were done at that time as part of the renewed service here in Israel. So that’s what we do today and it’s a joyous time. In fact many people come from abroad just to be able to be at the Western Wall when this priestly blessing is recited.

JD: Now this priestly blessing was offered by the men who have been studying the priestly duties in order to be able to serve in the Temple that the Temple Institute and many of the Jews want to have rebuilt there on the Temple Mount.

WM: On Thursday there was a recreation of the Libation ceremony part of the Tabernacle festival was special pouring out of the water that was gathered at the Siloam pool and was brought up into the Temple Mount in a very special way on the top of animals. That in a certain sense is again an instructive and consciousness raising event that took place during the week of the Sukkot to try to highlight the centrality of the Temple and the Temple worship in the life of the people.

JD: Winkie Medad with the details of the priestly blessings given to the Jewish and Christian worshipers at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

We report this information because it is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The priestly blessings are offered on the Jewish Pilgrim Feast days on an annual bases. Those Pilgrim Feast days, the Feast of Passover, the Feast of Pentecost and the Feast of Tabernacles. During this time of Tabernacles the men who will serve as priest in the next Temple in Jerusalem were the ones who offered the blessings to the Jewish and Christian worshipers at the Western Wall Plaza in Jerusalem. They did that in accord with the book of Numbers and Deuteronomy. It’s Deuteronomy 16:16 and Numbers 6:23-27. Remember these are the priests who will serve in the next Temple in Jerusalem which by the way could be built before the Feast of Tabernacles next year.
