With less than six months into the present Israeli government, Israel is ready for another election

Listen to Today's Program Play

JD: Could this possibly, could it bring down the Israeli government that's in place, this emergency government today?

WM: Jimmy let's take one step backwards. When a government in Israel is set up and its a coalition government there usually are conditions or stipulations that certain issues are quite important and its what we call coalition discipline. In other words once its been decided that you for example the budget. If you do not vote for the budget then everything falls apart and there are other issues involved. If I'm not mistaken Mr. Netanyahu made part of the sovereignty plan through the Trump prosperity to peace plan as part of obligatory coalition voting practice. On this issue is a side of the coalition to vote against the bill. So in other words to allow certain types I would presume of conversion therapy to precede if the person so suggests and it fell apart.

To make a long story short there was a gap I think just over 10 votes or so which set off a firestorm in the Knesset as you mentioned the Ultra Orthodox screaming and yelling. Mr. Netanyahu said look if this is going to go on like this we're going to have to split up the coalition and go to elections. In the mean time he's also taking hits for the corona management of the situation and of course the budget that's going to come up. So I don't know if Mr. Netanyahu is choosing the easy way by picking on a low level of importance bill to try to slap around if I can use that phrase. The Blue & White said lets get back into line because we have bigger subjects and issues to deal with and if you're going to leave me high and dry you might as well know that this is going to split up when we go to elections.

JD: Winkie Medad explaining how Israel may go to elections, the fourth in just over a year.

We report this information because it is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Israel's government operates as a Parliamentary system which allows them to go to another election at anytime. The present coalition Israeli government is very fragile and there is the threat that the fourth election in just over a year may happen very soon. God's plan for human government is to direct each nation to do His will, that's Genesis 9:6 and Revelation 17:17. An unstable Israeli government is opening the Jewish state to be attacked by its enemies which is by the way God's plan for the future.
