The geopolitical events of 2011 seem to indicate prewritten history found in the Bible could well be fulfilled in 2012

Listen to Today's Program Play

The geopolitical events of 2011 like the United States military pullout from Iraq, Iran's continued development of a nuclear weapon of mass destruction, the Afghan War, and the continuation of the Arab Spring have a connection to the prewritten history that can be found in Bible prophecy.  However, the most significant indicator that we are entering the times of the end is what has unfolded in the Middle East in 2011 and what 2012 seems to hold for our world.  This is dramatic evidence of the soon fulfillment of all of Bible prophecy that can be found in God's Word.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Even though the prophetic evidence from God's word seems to say that the return to earth by Jesus Christ is very close at hand, there are still those who deny that Jesus will come back very soon.

The Bible teaches that no one can know for sure when the prophetic scenario found in God's word will be fulfilled and Jesus will return to the earth to set up His kingdom.  However, Jesus in His Olivet Discourse found in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 reveals that He gave to His disciples just before His death, a number of significant indicators to look for which would signal the Lord's return to the earth.  A short list of these events during 2011 as they relate to Bible prophecy can help us to truly recognize the time in which we are living.

The Arab Spring, as foretold in Daniel 11:40-45, the US troop pullout from war torn Iraq (Revelation 18), plus the continuing threat from Iran of the development of a nuclear weapon of mass destruction (Ezekiel 38:5) all point to the fact that we are living in the last days.  However, if an honest observer of current events unfolding in the Middle East will compare these present activities to the end times scenario found in God's word, they will understand how close we are to the Lord's return in 2012.

The evidence can be seen as we watch Iran and its partners, the Moslem nations, aligning themselves against Israel which was foretold in Ezekiel 38.  In Ezekiel 35 and the little book of Obadiah we can see foretold that the Palestinians will take the land from the Jewish people and kill the Jews and there will be the ever increasing desire among the Jewish people to see a temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.  This was foretold in Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, and Revelation 11:1.

Everything that I've talked about on this report is absolute evidence to indicate that all of Bible prophecy is about to be fulfilled.

Israel now has tangible evidence to refute those who say there never was Jewish worship on the Temple Mount

Listen to Today's Program Play

Israeli archaeologists have uncovered the first artifact to confirm the written testimony of the Jewish temple worship and sacrifice that took place in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount some 2000 years ago and they believe that this is the first time physical evidence has been found to refute those who reject any Jewish presence on the Temple Mount throughout history.

This discovery is tangible evidence that there was a Jewish temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem 2000 years ago where Jewish worshipers went to worship the God of Israel.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

An archaeological discovery on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem refutes Moslem claims that there never was a Jewish temple but at the same time, it sets the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

For a number of years, the Mufti of Jerusalem, a high ranking Moslem cleric, has stated that there never was a Jewish presence on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.  With the custodial control of the Temple Mount underneath the Islamic Trust the Moslems have dictated when Jews were allowed to even enter the Temple Mount compound.  Islamic propaganda is continually used to say to the world that the Jews have no right to the Temple Mount even though this sacred piece of real estate is the holiest site in all of Judaism.

With this latest discovery of Israeli archaeologists a first century second temple seal, there is now solid evidence of Jewish worship at the Jewish temple in Jerusalem.  This button sized seal with an inscription in Aramaic was found with oil lamps, earthenware, and containers filled with oils and perfumes all of which are artifacts that date back to the period of the Hasmoneans and the time of the second Jewish temple in Jerusalem.

This archaeological discovery refutes the claims by the Muslims that there never was a Jewish presence on the Temple Mount but it also speaks to the future and another Jewish temple, in fact, two different temples in the future.  Zechariah 6:12 says that the Messiah Jesus Christ will build His temple there on the Temple Mount and rule from this temple in the kingdom to come (Zechariah 6:13).  II Samuel 7 is a promise to King David that this coming temple will be there in Jerusalem forever.  However, before the kingdom temple, Bible prophecy reveals another temple, the Tribulation temple, which will be there on the Temple Mount to be desecrated (Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4, and Revelation 11:1).

This latest archaeological discovery on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem is evidence of the past and also speaks to the future.  Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The Jewish population of Israel continues to increase, however the Arab population is increasing faster than the Jewish

Listen to Today's Program Play

At the beginning of each Jewish New Year, the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics releases data on the population numbers on all the sectors of the Israeli body politic and the latest numbers indicate that the total population of Israel is nearing the 8 million mark and the report indicates that the population growth among Arabs in Israel is increasing faster than the Jewish population.

Of the total population of Israel there are 5.8 million Jews, 1.6 million Arabs and around 300 thousand additional residents detailed as others, which includes Christians. The population in the disputed territories, Judea and Samaria is growing twice as fast as the general population of the Jewish state which has become a very controversial statistic for those working to bring about peace in Israel.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The report detailing the population figures for the state of Israel is tangible evidence that Bible prophecy is being fulfilled even today.

On the eve of the Jewish New Year, the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics releases the latest numbers for the population of the state of Israel. This year is no exception, and the report reveals that the total population of Israel is nearing the 8 million mark. This report indicated that the Arab population of Israel is growing faster than the Jewish population which has some Israeli officials concerned. In 1948, when the modern day state of Israel came into existence, there were only about 500 thousand Jews in the land, now there are more than ten times that number and growing each year. This is tangible evidence that the prophecies in the Bible are at least in a process of being fulfilled.

The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel wrote that the Lord would find all the Jews scattered for some 2000 years across the world and bring them back to the land of their forefathers, Ezekiel 37:7-11. In fact, the prophet Ezekiel wrote that the Lord would not only bring them into the land He had promised them, but He would make the land better and it was for their forefathers, Ezekiel 36:11.

The ever increasing Jewish population of the state of Israel is indeed tangible evidence that Bible prophecy is and will be fulfilled.

The world watched as a 4000 year old conflict unfolded at the United Nations in New York City

Listen to Today's Program Play

For over 6 months a centuries old conflict was in the process of coming to a new phase with efforts to bring about some kind of resolution for the two parties involved, the Jewish state of Israel and the Palestinian people, who want to have a state basically in the place where the Jews are now living. The Palestinian Authority campaigned among the nations of the world to win favor for the unilateral declaration of a Palestinian state with at least some portion of Jerusalem as the capital city for the state of Palestine.

One major problem for the Palestinians has been the division among the Palestinian people with the Palestinian terror organization Hamas refusing to join with the Palestinian Authority and wanting to continue the armed militant struggle against Israel in order to rid the Middle East of a Jewish state.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The recent effort at the United Nations in New York City by the Palestinian Authority to declare unilaterally a Palestinian state is basically a page right out of Bible prophecy.

For many months the leadership of the Palestinian Authority worked among world leaders to prepare the way for a resolution to be passed at the United Nations General Assembly calling for a Palestinian state. World leaders were divided as to how to vote on the United Nations resolution because many believe the only way for the Israeli - Palestinian conflict to be resolved is at the negotiating table. World leaders continue to work at resolving this conflict. Meanwhile, the world watched the center stage where the two parties, the Jews and the Palestinians, diplomatically slugged it out and thus far have come to no final solution.

This 4000 year old conflict will not be resolved until Jesus Christ returns to the earth to set up His kingdom (Obadiah 16-18). Another ancient Jewish prophet, Malachi, predicted that the Palestinians, in Biblical times known as the Edomites, descendants of Esau, these Palestinians would say that they would return to power and build a nation (Malachi 1:4). The Lord responded to that and He said that the borders of the Palestinians would be borders of wickedness and the He, the Lord, would have indignation against the Palestinian people forever. Actually, the activities at the United Nations in New York was setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

There has been a miraculous mysterious birth reported to have taken place in a shepherd's field near Bethlehem in Israel

Listen to Today's Program Play

We have a report of a birth taking place in an open field near the little Arab village of Bethlehem. The shepherds are reporting they have found the newborn babe with His parents; the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger, a food trough for the animals.

There are also reports that last night, their were Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) in the skies over and around Bethlehem. Some of the shepherds are saying that the UFOs were actually angels and this host of angels were actually singing joyful songs of the long awaited Jewish Messiah. There are unconfirmed reports that this little baby is the One that has been spoken of by the ancient Jewish prophets for hundreds of years, the one to be born in Bethlehem and to become the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, the Son of God.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The birth of Jesus Christ fulfilled all the prophecies in the Bible for the presence of God with us - Emmanuel - and it does actually set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

For over 2,000 years the story of the birth of Christ - which is recorded in four chapters of the Bible Matthew 1-2 and Luke 1-2, actually only 168 verses - has been responsible for authors writing so many books that one library could not contain all of the volumes. The composers have penned the music and lyrics for musical manuscripts with Jesus Christ as the theme of these musical numbers, the most used theme in all of music history.

Though Jesus never traveled more than 100 miles from His hometown, men and women have traveled to the far reaches of this earth to tell others the story of this man, the God-man born 2,000 years ago in Bethlehem. It is interesting to note that the Messiah, Jesus Christ, started in a cradle, a manger, He carried His cross to where they would crucify Him, but death could not keep Him, He arose from the dead 3 days later. As He left this world to go back to Heaven, He promised that He would come again to earth, this time wearing a crown.

This God-man, Emmanuel - God with us - came by way of the cradle to the cross and soon He will come wearing a crown; Jesus Christ, the Messiah, who has and will fulfill Bible prophecy.

In Bethlehem, Christians celebrate Christmas while in Jerusalem, Jews celebrate Hanukkah and there is an interesting connection between the two

Listen to Today's Program Play

The annual Jewish holy days of Hanukkah, an eight day Jewish festival, is being observed this year at the same time as Christians will celebrate Christmas, the day that marks the birth of Jesus Christ over 2000 years ago.  Jewish families will join together to light a candle for each of the eight days of Hanukkah that reminds them of the miracle of Hanukkah, the fact that the seven branched candelabra, the Menorah, stayed lighted for eight days with only enough olive oil for the Menorah to burn for one day.

Meanwhile, Christians will celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ on December 25, Christmas Day, as many naysayers disagree with that date but the record of the birth of Jesus Christ in the Bible does agree with that time on the calendar for the birth of the Son of God.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Jews celebrating Hanukkah as Christians mark the birth of Christ on December 25 has an interesting historic significance as well as a prophetic factor that will be better understood in the future according to Bible prophecy.

The Jewish holy days of Hanukkah date back to December 25 168BC when Antiochus Epiphanes, the Grecian leader at that time, brought his military forces into Jerusalem desecrated the Jewish temple and brought an end to temple worship and practices for a three year period.  On December 25 165BC, the Maccabees, a militant priestly family living near Jerusalem, rose up against Antiochus Epiphanes and his Grecian army and ran them off of the Temple Mount and out of Jerusalem.  After cleaning up the temple they used a flask of virgin olive oil to light the Menorah, it was enough fuel for one day but the Menorah kept burning for eight days thus the Jewish holy day of Hanukkah.  Church leaders by the way in the fourth century proclaimed the 25th of December as the day to observe Christmas Day, the day of the birth of Jesus Christ.  In fact, Luke 1:5-38 does indeed set the month of the birth of Christ as December.  The 25th day of December is tradition.  Hanukkah is actually a reminder that there will be another abomination of desolation.  This next abomination happens when the Antichrist walks into the future temple in Jerusalem and claims to be God (II Thessalonians 2:4).

Hanukkah and Christmas remind us that Bible prophecy has been fulfilled and will indeed be fulfilled in the future.

There is a Bethlehem with a story beyond the Christmas story

Listen to Today's Program Play

When one hears the name of the little village just outside of Jerusalem, the town made famous by the birth of Jesus Christ, the little town of Bethlehem, there are many memories that will flood their minds.  However, there is a story about Bethlehem beyond the Christmas story.  Bethlehem is a Biblical city that today is a political hotbed for all living in this small area that once a year is packed with people from all around the world who come on a pilgrimage that speaks of peace in a place where there is no real peace today.

One would think that Bethlehem would be made up mostly of Christians what with its historic and Biblical background but that is not the case.  It is today a stronghold for the Moslem faith, a people who desire to go against all of God's plans for both Christians and Jews.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Bible prophecy fulfilled over 2000 years ago in the little town of Bethlehem also has a future significance.  As it played a key role in the fulfillment of Bible prophecy pertaining to the first coming of Christ, it will also play a key role in the future prophecies yet to be fulfilled.

The little town of modern day Bethlehem has a historic past that is rivaled by no other village, town or city.  Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus Christ over 2000 years ago, was key in the birth of one like no other in history, the prophesied Messiah.  Once a year the center of Bethlehem, Manger Square, fills to the limit with Christian pilgrims from around the world coming to celebrate the birth of the Messiah the only birth like His in history.  However this event, the birth of Emmanuel, God with us, was only half of the story.  This first coming set the stage for the prophecies pertaining to the second coming of Jesus Christ as well.

In the Scriptures there are over 300 prophecies about the coming of a Messiah and they were all fulfilled by Jesus Christ.  Prophecies like, why Jesus had to be born in Bethlehem Ephrata not Bethlehem Zebulun which was much closer to Nazareth where the Lord's mother Mary was living at His birth.  Micah 5:2 revealed that it must be Bethlehem Ephrata, not Jericho, not Bethany, not even the holy city of Jerusalem.  The birth had to take place in Bethlehem Ephrata in order for the new born babe to be the Messiah.

In the Bible there are 5 times as many prophecies about the second coming of Jesus Christ as there are for the first coming.  Jesus Christ being born in Bethlehem 2000 years ago did indeed set the stage for His second coming.  Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The countdown for the end of the world continues day by day

Listen to Today's Program Play

Mexico's tourism agency expects to draw 52 million visitors by December 21, 2012 as people from all over the world will travel to the Yucatan Peninsula in the Mayan Indian region of Mexico to visit the villages of the ancient Mayan Indians who had a talent for astronomy and producing calendars.

The Mayan Indians were known for their amazing ability to read the stars at a time when there were no telescopes and without computers to set in place calendars still available today predicting the end of the world.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Mayan calendar calls for the end of the world December 21, 2012 which contradicts the Bible that reveals to all who will read it when the end of the world will come according to Bible prophecy.

For several years there has been talk of the end of the world on December 21, 2012 because the Mayan Indian calendar runs out on that date. These Indians, living on the Yucatan Peninsula, were able without telescopes and computers to configure very distinct calendars. The doomsday theories stem from a stone tablet discovered in that location which describes the return of a Mayan Indian god and the end of the world on December 21, 2012.

Any student of Bible prophecy could refute these end of the world theories by explaining the end of times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy. The biblical book of Revelation, chapters 4-19, predicts a time of great judgment on the earth among earth dwellers that will be preceded by the Rapture when Christians go to Heaven at the call of Jesus Christ, Revelation 4:1 and I Corinthians 15:51-53. At the end of these seven years, Jesus Christ returns to the earth, Revelation 19:11-16 and Zechariah 14:4. This return of the Messiah will bring in the 1,000 year Millennial Kingdom here on the earth, Revelation 20:1-6 and then the end of the world when the heavens and the earth will be burned up completely, Revelation 20:11 and II Peter 3:10.

The end of the world is at least 1,007 years into the future. Bible prophecy will indeed be fulfilled.

Jewish people in Jerusalem and around the world are celebrating the rededication of the Jewish Temple

Listen to Today's Program Play

The eight day Jewish holy day Hanukkah is the time that Jews around the world mark the re-dedication of the second temple in Jerusalem after the Greek leader Antiochus Epiphanes had desecrated the temple by slaughtering a pig on the temple alter. Over a three year period of time, the Jews grew strong enough to overthrow the Greek leader and the Maccabees ran Antiochus out of Israel and cleansed the temple and restored temple worship and practices.

In fact, the flask of virgin olive oil they used to relight the seven branched candelabra, the Menorah, stayed lighted for eight days - thus the Jewish holy days of Hanukkah.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Jewish holy days of Hanakkuh remind us of an event that will be repeated in the future - according to Bible prophecy.

Jewish people around the world for the eight days of Hanakkuh will light a candle each day to mark the overthrow of Antiochus Epiphanes and the reconsecrating of the Jewish temple in Jerusalem over two thousand years ago.

The Maccabees rose up against the Greek leader Antiochus and after three years were able to return to temple worship and practice on Kislov 25, the Jewish month of December. Interestingly, the early church fathers selected December 25 to celebrate Christmas based upon the fact of the feast of dedication taking place on December 25, 165 B.C.

Antiochus Epiphanes had slaughtered a pig on the temple alter and stopped Jewish worship in what was referred to as the Abomination of Desolation. This event in history is a prototype of things to come, according to God's Word found in the prophetic book of Daniel. In fact, Daniel, the ancient Jewish prophet, 360 years before the fact foretold the act by Antiochus (Daniel 11:21-35). Daniel also prewrote history about the Abomination of Desolation that will take place at the midway point of the Tribulation Period in the future (Daniel 9:27).

There will be a temple in Jerusalem desecrated once again, a temple that the Jewish people are right now prepared to build. History will be repeated - Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Israeli officials say that North Korea is still a danger to the Jewish state even with the death of it leader

Listen to Today's Program Play

A spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of Israel says that North Korea's leader Kim Jong-il's death still leaves the North Korean state a danger for Israel especially since Kim Jong-il's regime produced nuclear technology and military arms for Israel's enemies.  North Korea has helped arm Syria, Libya, and Egypt with missiles and technology and has been closely involved with the Iranian nuclear program in the development of a nuclear weapon of mass destruction.

It was North Korean nuclear technology that helped Syria build a nuclear weapons factory that was totally destroyed by the Israeli Air Force several years ago causing Israel to be very concerned about the future of North Korea.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A change in leadership in North Korea is not good news for Israel in light of past experiences with this Asian nation especially in light of what Bible prophecy calls for in the last days.

The death of North Korea's leader Kim Jong-il does not change the philosophy of this nation that has become a real threat to the world because of its nuclear arsenal.  In addition, North Korea has supplied nuclear technology and military arms to a number of Middle Eastern nations that have a stated purpose of annihilating the Jewish state of Israel.  At the time of Kim Jong-il's death there were hundreds of North Korean nuclear scientists in Iran helping that nation to build its nuclear weapon of mass destruction.

Bible prophecy lays out a scenario that will include North Korea and its partners in preparing their militaries for destruction of Israel.  Revelation 16:12 reveals the invasion of Israel by the kings of the east. Now that would include China, India, and North Korea.  This invasion takes place when all the armies of the world will gather at Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:2).  Prior to this military buildup in Jerusalem, North Korea has played and will continue to play a key role in equipping the nations including the nations mentioned by the ancient Jewish prophets who will move against Israel in the near future - nations like Libya, Syria, and Egypt (Daniel 11:40-43).

New leadership in North Korea will only enhance the possibility of Bible prophecy being fulfilled in the very near future.

The Vatican demands control of a large section of the Old City of Jerusalem

Listen to Today's Program Play

As the ongoing peace process between the Israelis and the Palestinians continues to falter, the Vatican has demanded control over the religious sites in the Old City of Jerusalem and the surrounding area warning the peace negotiators that they must tackle the issue of the status of these holy sites. The Vatican warned that there will be no peace if the question of the holy sites is not resolved and the sacred and unique character of these areas must be safeguarded and it can only be done with an internationally guaranteed agreement.

The Vatican wants Israel to relinquish sovereignty over the Temple Mount, Judaism's most sacred site, and internationalize the city of Jerusalem, a plan that the Israelis reject outright.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The demand coming from the Vatican in Rome for the city of Jerusalem to be made an international zone is a page out of Bible prophecy for the last days.

Recent calls from the Vatican in Rome for control of the holy sites in Jerusalem has caused concern for the political leaders of Israel. In fact, the Israeli government and the Vatican are deadlocked in discussions over the status of the religious sites in Jerusalem. In question would be the Holy Sepulchre, the Garden of Gethsemane, and the Upper Room which the Vatican demands to have under their sovereign control. The Vatican wants all of the Old City of Jerusalem to be made into an international zone, including the Temple Mount. The Jews claim the Temple Mount as their most sacred piece of real estate and they vow to never allow the sovereignty to be relinquished to the control of any other that the Jewish State of Israel.

This report is indeed a page out of Bible prophecy for the end of times. Daniel, the ancient Jewish prophet, reveals in Daniel chapters 9 and 11 how the Revived Roman Empire will come together out of a one world religious power base in Rome, Italy. This end times political power led by the one world dictator, the Antichrist, will take control of the Temple Mount and allow a temple to be built there. Jews are ready to rebuild that temple in Jerusalem right now.

The Vatican's demand to control holy sites in Jerusalem is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The US flag ceremony ends war in Iraq

Listen to Today's Program Play

The flags of American forces in Iraq have been taken down in Baghdad and the formal end of the Iraqi war concluded nearly nine years of military operation by the US in this Middle Eastern nation that sparked political controversy in not only the US but in Europe and throughout the entire Middle East.

The prospects for stability in this war torn country are not good with a number of different elements in the body politic of Iraq who are competing to set in place their own agenda to rule this historic land which has a significant future yet to be fulfilled.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A flag ceremony by the US forces in Iraq marking the end of war was also the beginning of the end for Iraq according to Bible prophecy.

The US Secretary of Defense, Leon Panetta, addressed a crowd of military personnel and politicos in Baghdad, Iraq as the US flag ceremony marked the end of almost nine years of war in a Middle East nation that has been too familiar with bloodshed down through the centuries. The rebuilding of this war torn nation has an uphill battle that will be hampered by Islamic radicals who want to take control of this oil rich nation to help forward their own agenda. This fight for control of Iraq will be played out on a stage that has been the base for many events in biblical history.

Forty-five hundred years ago, Nimrod built the only city of the world at that time in history, the city of Babel. Twenty-five hundred years ago, Nebuchadnezzar came to power as the ruler of the Babylonian Empire. This history only helps us to have a better understanding of the future of this unique piece of real estate in the Middle East. Revelation 18 foretells of the revival of the city of Babylon which will be the economic capital of the world under the leadership of a world dictator known as the Antichrist. The city of Babylon, 58 miles out of downtown Baghdad, has never been destroyed as called for in Isaiah 13-14, Jeremiah 50-51, and Revelation 16. In the last 3 1/2 years of the 7 year Tribulation Period, all the economies of the world will answer to Babylon, modern day Iraq.

US troops withdrawing from Iraq without a stable Iraqi government in place does indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

There has been new life discovered in the Dead Sea

Listen to Today's Program Play

It almost seems like a contradiction of terms to read the headline for this story that life, in fact, new life has been discovered in the Dead Sea by a team of Israeli and German scientists and this report comes at a time when the Dead Sea is dangerously low due to evaporation of the salty Dead Sea water.

Deep beneath the sea bed of a body of water long believed incapable of sustaining life, Israeli scientists have found deep fresh water springs and German scientists have discovered microorganisms growing on the sea floor.

While researchers have known for decades that the Dead Sea is a misnomer, the rich variety of life evidenced in the underwater springs and the microorganisms at the bottom of the Dead Sea may lead to new life for this body of water.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Freshwater springs at the bottom of the Dead Sea and newly discovered microorganisms in this body of water set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

For a number of years, I have been reporting on the death of the Dead Sea as this famous body of water has been going down in level almost 3 feet per year. There have been major discoveries that may also be used to save the Dead Sea from death. These underwater springs and even the microorganisms discovered by the marine scientists could well be a lifeline needed for this project.

What is so interesting to a student of Bible prophecy is that two ancient Jewish prophets foretold of freshwater flowing into the Dead Sea and making this body of water, which is ten times saltier than any ocean on earth, a freshwater lake.

Zechariah wrote of what happens after Jesus Christ returns to the earth, how living waters flow from Jerusalem to the former sea in the text which is the Dead Sea, Zechariah 14:8. Ezekiel, in the 47th chapter of his prophecy, wrote of water flowing from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, actually from the Temple itself, down the Kidron Valley, all the way to the Dead Sea, Ezekiel 47:1-8. Verse 8 reveals that the saltwater in the Dead Sea will be healed and the fishermen will dry their fishing nets at Ngedi.

The Dead Sea will indeed be healed.

The 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' ban on gays in the US military has come to an end

Listen to Today's Program Play

After nearly two decades, a policy banning homosexuality in the US military has been repealed which means service members can now reveal they are gay without fear of investigation or discharge.

97% of military personnel have received training on the new law and existing standards of personal conduct such as those pertaining  to public displays of affection are still in place.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The ban on the 'Don't ask, Don't tell' policy for gays in the US military has come to an end; however, this new policy does set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Twenty years ago, a group of military leaders and politicians met to put in place the 'Don't ask Don't tell' policy for the US military as it relates to the gays who wanted to in serve the US armed forces. With that policy being repealed by the US Congress, there is a new policy allowing for gays to serve openly in the US military; howbeit, there are still in place policies prohibiting any show of affection by military personnel publicly. Those service men and women who have been discharged under the 'Don't ask Don't tell' rule are entitled to reenlist and any personnel pending discharge under the old rule will have all charges dropped.

This new policy in the US military has been very controversial and debated at the highest echelons of our government. The Bible also discusses the issue and in fact speaks to the issue as it relates to the end times. Jesus, while teaching His disciples of the events surrounding His second coming, reminded them of how it was in Lot's day in Sodom and Gomorrah when the Lord rained fire and brimstone from Heaven on the city of the Sodomites and destroyed the people and the place for the sin of sodomy or as it is referred to today, homosexuality, Luke 17:28-29. The Lord made it very plain that He loved the Sodomites, but He hated the sin of sodomy and proved His dislike by destroying the entire community. Remember the warning of Jesus Christ when He said as it was in the days of Lot.

This new military policy for gays is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Jordan's King Abdullah says that the Palestinians have the promise of a better future than do the Jewish people of the state of Israel

Listen to Today's Program Play

In a recent gathering of authors and academics at the royal palace in Jordan, King Abdullah told his guests that Israel's position in the Middle East had deteriorated in the wake of the wave of Arab uprisings, a statement that is in opposition of the Israeli officials who believe that the Arab Spring would serve Israel's interests. Abdullah said that Israel's position is more problematic that it has been in the past and the conflict between the Israelis and the Palestinians must be resolved or Israel will continue to face major problems.

King Abdullah rejected any proposal that Jordan was the Palestinian state, he said it was a fantasy plan and the king believes that the Palestinians now have a more secure future than does Israel.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Jordan's King Abdullah believes that the Palestinians have a better future that the Jews which is totally in contradiction to Bible prophecy.

In recent statements to a gathering at the royal palace in Amman, Jordan, King Abdullah told his guests that the fate of the Jewish state of Israel had so deteriorated it seemed to him that the Palestinian people have a promise of a much better future than the Jews. The Jordanian king also termed the idea of Jordan as a Palestinian state as pure fantasy and rejected it outright. Jordan is an Arab state with 70% of its population being Palestinian which has caused problems for the Hashemite Kingdom. In fact there are more and more Israeli political and military leaders calling for Jordan to be the state for the Palestinian people. The Bible is the source of history and prophecy that actually deals with this issue.

Genesis 25 records the two sons of Isaac and Rebekah who God said would become two states in the last days (Genesis 25:23). Ezekiel 35, Malachi 1, and the book of Jeremiah all reveal the prewritten history that does call for the Edomites, the Palestinians today, to come to prominence in the end of days. The Palestinians, who are Biblical Edomites, these Palestinians say that they will return, rebuild, and regain power. However, the little book of Obadiah says that they will be as if they have never been a people.

Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

As world leaders work for peace in the Middle East the current peace agreements are unraveling

Listen to Today's Program Play

World leaders in America, Europe, Russia, and the Middle East are working to bring about a peace in the Middle East even as three peace agreements between Israel and their neighbors are actually unraveling and may not be in effect for very long.

The Camp David Accords, a peace agreement between Israel and Egypt, is almost a thing of the past with the present situation in Egypt as is the case with the peace treaty between Israel and Jordan with most Jordanians wanting to dissolve that treaty.

The Oslo Accords, a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians, has never been normalized and is not a working agreement because the radical Islamists among the Palestinians have no regard for the treaty and in fact are calling for an armed struggle to eliminate the Jewish state.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

With three different peace agreements between Israel and her neighbors in place the Middle East peace process is in bad shape but it will be rescued according to Bible prophecy.

In 1979, Israel and Egypt signed the Camp David Accords, the first peace treaty that Israel ever signed with an enemy state. The Palestinians and the Israelis also came to an agreement on peace in 1993 with the Oslo Accords. In October of 1994, the late King Hussein of Jordan and the late Yitzhak Rabin prime minister of Israel, both signed a peace treaty between the two nations. What is common with all of these peace agreements is that they never have been normalized. Even the peace envoy for the Quartet, which is the US, EU, UN, and Russia, Tony Blair has not been successful in bringing about peace. However, I must remind you that Bible prophecy does call for a world leader to come on the scene who will be successful in putting a peace treaty in place that he will make work.

Daniel 9:27 says that the Antichrist will confirm a treaty between Israel and her neighbors. I did not say he will sign a treaty, but instead confirm, strengthen, make stronger, make the treaty work. In order for this to happen, there must be a peace treaty or three peace treaties on the table not working. The Antichrist will confirm them.

There are three peace treaties on the table not working, waiting for the Antichrist, a world leader, to appear.

A supercomputer has predicted and will in the future be able to predict upcoming world conflicts and revolutions

Listen to Today's Program Play

According to the research at the University of Illinois feeding a supercomputer with millions of news stories, scientists believe they can predict major world events including regional conflicts and even revolutions like the recent revolutions in Libya and Egypt.

Scientists say they liken this forecasting of conflicts to weather forecasting and the system appears to generate better intelligence than the US government is working with today.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A supercomputer that can predict world conflict before the fact may or may not be totally accurate, but there is a way to know the future, that is by reading the end times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

As scientists feed hundreds of millions of news articles into a supercomputer, they are working on developing a way to foretell the future in the area of world conflict and revolutions. This new research seems to have predicted the uprising in the Arab world, the so-called Arab spring with pretty good accuracy; however, pretty good is not perfect as is the written Word of God and its presentation of the end time scenario for the events of the future.

Daniel, the ancient Jewish prophet, in Daniel 11 predicted the rise of Ahazerias, the king of the book of Esther, 57 years before he appeared, Daniel 11:2. He also revealed information about Alexander the Great 200 years before he came to power and 360 years before the fact, Daniel prewrote history about Antiochus Epiphanes who would desecrate the Temple which did happen December 25, 168 BC. Daniel's prophecy, which is prewritten history about the Antichrist found in Daniel 7:8, 9:27, and 11:36-45 will also be fulfilled based on past prophecies being fulfilled. Daniel also wrote of world conflict 2500 years ago which would include Syria, Egypt, and Libya the major Arab nations now on the radar screen, Daniel 11:40-44.

We must not put our trust in a supercomputer that actually can fail, but instead put our trust in Bible prophecy, Bible prophecy that will be fulfilled.

A Jewish rabbi in Jerusalem is calling for Jews to stop praying at the Western Wall

Listen to Today's Program Play

Rabbi Yehuda Glick, of an organization called "The Movement for the Establishment of the Temple", says that the Jewish people have become psychologically connected, over the centuries, to the Western Wall of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem because the rebuilding of the temple seems like an impossible task. Rabbi Glick says that about 25 years ago Jews started to ascend to the Temple Mount even though it was a very small group but now hundreds are now on a regular basis going up on to the Temple Mount to offer their prayers.

The rabbi is now calling for Jews to unite and make every effort to go on to this sacred location for every Jew, the Temple Mount, and become focused on the rebuilding of the next temple in Jerusalem.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The call by a rabbi in Jerusalem to ascend to the Temple Mount in preparation for the next Jewish temple on this sacred site, is the next step to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Rabbi Yehuda Glick for a number of years directed the efforts of the Temple Institute to prepare for the building of the next Jewish temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. The Temple Institute has all the implements needed to operate the temple including the knowledge of the location of the Ark of the Covenant. All 28,000 priests, to be used in the next temple, have been trained and even their priestly garments are either made or being made right now.

However, Rabbi Glick now believes it is time to prepare the Jewish people to become accustomed to ascending the Temple Mount, not only for learning and prayer, but to be involved in the Temple practices as well. That's why he says no more prayers at the Western Wall but instead, let's go up on to the Temple Mount.

God's prophetic Word does say that in the last days the Messiah, Jesus Christ, will return to build the temple on the Temple Mount (Zechariah 1:16, 6:12). That temple built by the Messiah will be His kingdom temple where He reigns for 1000 years. However, before the Messiah's temple is built on the Temple Mount there will be a Tribulation temple (Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4, and Revelation 11:1).

Jews ascending onto the Temple Mount today are actually setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The world's population will reach 7 billion people this year

Listen to Today's Program Play

According to the research carried out by the UN, the World Bank, and the National Institute for Demographic Studies, the world population will reach 7 billion people this year with increases in the number of people in Africa offsetting birth rate drops recorded elsewhere.

In historic terms, the growth of the global population has been soaring since the 19th century, increasing sevenfold over the last 200 years.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The increase in the world's population to 7 billion people this year is a major factor in the scenario that is found in Bible prophecy for the end of times.

Research carried out by the UN, the World Bank and a number of major national institutes indicates that the world's population has increased from 6 billion to 7 billion in only 12 years. In fact, in the last 200 years, this global population has increased sevenfold and is expected to reach 10 billion by the end of the 21st century. These numbers are alarming as the world continues to struggle with the pandemic spread of disease and the ongoing problems with famine in much of our world leading to the increase in the number of those facing starvation. This recent study, revealing the swiftness in population growth in our world also made note of the fact that just seven countries now account for half of the world's population.

China tops that list with over 1.3 billion people and another 1.2 billion in India. This report does help us to understand how the stage is being set for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled. Revelation 6:5-6 foretells of a time during the 7 year tribulation period when the earth will face the worst famines and starvation the world has ever known. Revelation 6:7-8 and Revelation 9:15 reveals that half of the global population will be killed, that number will now be 3.5 billion people. Revelation 16:12 is the prophecy of the Kings of the East invading Jerusalem in the last days and the Kings of the East would be China and India with over1/3 of the world's total population.

The increase in this world's population to 7 billion people does indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Palestinian officials deny the Koran in order to declare there was never a Jewish Temple in Jerusalem

Listen to Today's Program Play

For years, the PA leaders have denied Jewish history both in ancient Judea and Samaria and in Jerusalem in particular with historical revisionism centering on the denial that a Jewish Temple ever existed in Jerusalem as they consistently refer to the Temple as the alleged temple.

This Palestinian claim that the temple never existed contradicts the Koran where it mentions in Cirra 17:2-7 the destruction of both the first and second Jewish temples in Jerusalem. The Palestinians accuse Israel of forging a false Jewish history in order to Judaize the Temple Mount so they can destroy al Aqsa Mosque and build a Jewish temple on this holy site.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Palestinian claim that there never was a Jewish temple in Jerusalem is a contradiction of history and archaeological record and it does set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

For years, the propaganda of the Palestinian leadership in Israel has been focused on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and the declaration that there has never been a Jewish temple on this holy site sacred to the Jewish people. Palestinian claims of the Jews forging Jewish history for the Temple Mount are in the face of impeccable Jewish and Christian sources, plus these claims go against the archaeological record documented for this area.

In fact, these claims by the Palestinians of no temple in Jerusalem contradict the statements of Jesus Christ who not only taught on the Temple Mount at the temple, but predicted in Matthew 24:2 that the temple would be destroyed as it was in 70AD by the Roman army. These Palestinian statements about the Temple Mount not being Jewish denies their own holy book, the Koran, but also confirms the prophetic scenario for the last days that can be found in Bible prophecy.

Zechariah, the ancient Jewish prophet, revealed the future when he wrote that Jerusalem will be the center of controversy in the end times, Zechariah 12:2. He also wrote of another Jewish temple that will be built there on the temple Mount in Jerusalem by the Messiah, Jesus Christ, Zechariah 6:12.

Palestinian claims aside, Bible prophecy will indeed be fulfilled.

A terrorist leader says that the US troop withdrawal from Iraq will help Iran pulverize Israel

Listen to Today's Program Play

A retired Hezbollah general who is also a member of the Lebanese parliament says a total American pullout from Iraq will provide a land-bridge for a Shiite Muslim crescent headed by Iran and Hezbollah to pulverize Israel.

General Walid Sakariya says that the crescent would expose Israel to an axis of Iraq, Iran, Hezbollah, Lebanon, Hamas, and Syria so that the Iranian forces could cross Iraq and arrive in Syria to participate in a direct war in the Golan Heights against Israel.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A threat by the Iranian axis in the Middle East to attack Israel and pulverize the Jewish state is in lockstep with the prophetic scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for these compatriots of Iran.

Iran's leadership, both their president Ahmadinejad and the supreme council made up of the Islamic clerics, the ayatollahs, have continually threatened to wipe Israel off the face of the earth over these last several years. At the same time, the war torn nation of Iraq is grappling with the decision of requesting US troops to stay in Iraq until there is more stability in the Iraqi government.

The present plan is for the US soldiers to totally leave Iraq which is the scenario that will allow Iraq to be the land-bridge for Iran to gather its allies, Hezbollah, Lebanon, Hamas, and Syria and attack the Jewish state of Israel. This scenario fits all aspects of Bible prophecy for the Middle East region and the present-day situation in that area.

Iraq, biblical Babylon, is a player in the last days according to Revelation 18, but will not be in the coalition of Arab and Muslim nations that will attack Israel. Iran, Syria, and Lebanon along with the terrorist organizations of Hamas and Hezbollah will be in the alignment of nations that will attack Israel, Daniel 11, Ezekiel 38, and Psalm 83.

The United States withdrawal of its soldiers from Iraq will indeed help set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Israeli officials are concerned that the Dead Sea could completely die

Listen to Today's Program Play

Because of the lack of water flowing into the Dead Sea, the misuse of development by businesses in this delicate area, and the improper management of the valuable natural resource, there is a threat that the Dead Sea could slip into a dangerous situation that would hinder the preservation of this most valuable piece of real estate in Israel.

One possible solution is the proposed Red-Dead Project that would pipe water from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea, a project that is now being studied by the World Bank for its feasibility.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Red-Dead Project, one way to preserve Israel's greatest natural resource, the Dead Sea, is a good idea but not God's plan for this unique place that is according to Bible prophecy.

For a number of years now the water in the Dead Sea has been evaporating and has the water level at a very dangerous point. Industrial development in the area and the threat from tourism has only complicated the problem. There have been many studies to try and find a solution for this problem - the most interesting being the Red-Dead Project. This plan, now being considered by the World Bank as to its feasibility, was first introduce by Israeli President Shimon Peres. The Red-Dead Project would channel water from the Red Sea on Israel's southern border, down to the Dead Sea. If this actually worked, it would revitalize the Dead Sea and increase revenues from the Dead Sea industries and the tourism that would come about as a result of this project.

Bible prophecy has an interesting prospective on this major ecological problem. The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel wrote 2500 years ago that the Dead Sea will be revitalized and would no longer be the saltiest sea on the earth which is today 7 times saltier than any ocean. Ezekiel 47 speaks of a time in the future during the kingdom period when water will flow from the temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem to the Dead Sea and it will become a freshwater lake.

I say that this happens during the 1000 year kingdom on earth which will be headquartered in Jerusalem when a Jewish temple is built and in operation (Zechariah 6:12; Zechariah 14).

Salvation for the Dead Sea is on the way. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
