Marking the 23rd anniversary of Hamas, a Palestinian organization that has been defined by the United States and Israel as an Islamic terrorist group, Hamas drew thousands of supporters to the Gaza Strip to celebrate the anniversary of their group founded by the blind Moslem cleric Sheik Yasin who came out of the Islamic Brotherhood, the father of many Moslem terror organizations. Hamas leader Ismael Haniyeh called for Hamas to reconcile with the Palestinian faction Fatah, in order for the Palestinian people to fight the occupation of Palestine by the Jewish state of Israel and to use any and all methods to win this battle even with an armed struggle if necessary.

Recently, Hamas vowed to step up attacks against Israel after the Palestinian Authority entered an round of negotiations with the Jewish state and said that there will be no concessions over any part of the land of Palestine.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Islamic terror group Hamas says that they will never recognize the Jewish state of Israel which sets the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

As Hamas, the Islamic terror group located in the Gaza Strip, celebrated the 23rd anniversary of the founding of the organization, their leader, Ismael Haniyeh, declared that Hamas will never recognize the Jewish state of Israel. This declaration is in contradiction to another faction of the Palestinian people, Fatah, and the leadership of the Palestinian Authority who want to negotiate with Israel for the existence of a Palestinian state alongside the Jewish state. This contradiction between the two Palestinian factions is an example of how fractured the body politic of the Palestinian people is today.

Though reconciliation between the Palestinian groups doesn't seem to be near, the Bible does reveal that the Palestinian people will unite with a focus on their common enemy, the Jewish state. The prophet Malachi wrote that the Edomites, the Palestinian people of today, will unite and rebuild and God said He will call their borders, "the borders of wickedness" (Malachi 1). Ezekiel, the ancient Jewish prophet, wrote that the united Palestinian people will rise up to kill the Jews and to take the land that God has given the Jewish people (Ezekiel 35:5,10). Obadiah foretold of the time when the Jews will actually destroy the Palestinians - that's when the Messiah comes back to earth (Obadiah 15-18). Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
