The Russian president says he is ready to lead the way to a new world order

At the opening of annual economic forum in St. Petersburg, Russia where hundreds of global chief executives are gathered, the Russian President Medvedev said that he and his government are willing to help lead efforts to build a new world economic order after the old system collapsed in the present global financial crisis. Medvedev says that the bubbles that created the illusion of flourishing economies have burst which the Russian leader said is a situation which creates a challenge and an opportunity for Russia to build a modern, flourishing, and strong Russia that would then be a co-founder of a world economic order and a full partner in the collective political leadership of the post economic crisis world - a new world order.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A Russian political leader calling for a new world order is a page out of Bible prophecy that is closer than ever before to being fulfilled.

Since the fall of the former Soviet Union Russian leaders have been working towards coming back to power as world leaders as they once were in the past. Vladimir Putin, when President of Russia made great strides toward that goal and many think that Putin's decision to put his own man in as President of Russia was a part of an overall plan to come back to that leadership position in the future. However, Mr. Medvedev, Russia's president, has become somewhat of a world leader on his own. Now with the call for a new world economic order by Russian President Medvedev his leadership is becoming stronger and could lead Russia and the rest of the world into the end of times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

In Revelation 18 we see the last days prophecy of a worldwide economic power base headquartered in Babylon, which is modern day Iraq. Revelation 13:16-17 sets the stage for all mankind who may be on the earth during the Tribulation period to have an identification mark on the back of the hand or the forehead in order to be able to buy or sell life's essentials. Ezekiel 36:2 states that Russia, Magog in the Scriptures, will be a major player in the end times. When you consider all of these prophecies you can see how Russian President Medvedev's call for a new world economic order is indeed a page out of Bible prophecy - Bible prophecy that will be fulfilled.
