The Islamic world reacts to President Obama's speech to Moslems with a mixed response

US President Obama, in a major foreign policy speech directed toward the Moslem world, called for a new beginning in relations between the United States and Moslems saying that he, as President of the United States, must fight against the stereotypes of Islam and to emphasize his point, the President quoted often in his speech from the Koran, the Islamic holy book.

The President reaffirmed US support for Israel but demanded that Israel must make way for a Palestinian state in what is now Israel's land especially the area of the Jewish settlements which the President said must be removed as an impediment to peace in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

President Obama's speech to the Moslem world will have no effect on those Islamic leaders who will play out the scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for the last days.

President Obama's effort to bring about coexistance in our world between those who today follow the mandate of the Islamic holy book, the Koran, and non-Moslems, will be to no avail according to the reactions to his speech in Cairo, Egypt. Islamic leaders like Osama Bin Laden are calling for Moslems to prepare for a long holy war against the infidels and non-Moslems. Hamas, in the Gaza Strip, vow to continue their armed struggle against the Jewish state and never to recognize the right for Israel to be a nation in the Middle East.

Bible prophecy actually predicted the ultimate reaction to an effort to bring Moslems and non-Moslems together. The centerpiece of the Islamic hatred is the Jewish state of Israel and ancient Jewish prophets reveal that in the last days, the Islamic world would take action to remove Israel from the face of the Earth and that the name "Israel" would be forgotton forever (Psalm 83:4). Psalm 83 actually mentions the nations in the Islamic world today along with other prophecies like Ezekiel 38 and Daniel 11. The prophet Joel wrote about the largest military might ever formed on the Earth (Joel 2:2-3) and that this military might would go to Jerusalem to destroy the Jewish state. This militia will be made up of the Islamic nations listed in Bible prophecy.

The Obama speech should be a reminder that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
