Oil drilling companies in Israel believe there could be a major source of oil at the Dead Sea

An oil drilling consortium which includes companies who found billions of dollars in natural gas off the Israeli coast are making ready to look for what they refer to as black gold in an area along the Dead Sea. Investors hope to find a major source of oil and this is based on seismic surveys in the Dead Sea area which is already a source of potassium and potash which have made the Dead Sea Works one of the world's largest exporters of the materials used for making fertilizer.

The Dead Sea, known in the Bible as the Salt Sea, is a body of water that has the densest concentration of salt and other materials in the world and is found at the lowest point on the Earth where fish and plant life do not exist in the highly salty water.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The possibility of a major oil source being found at the Dead Sea in Israel could well impact the end times scenario that is found in Bible prophecy.

For years speculators have believed that oil could be found somewhere in Israel. Some of these so-called wildcatters have raised millions of dollars to drill for the oil that could possibly be somewhere in the Jewish state. Now a very legitimate consortium of oil drillers are ready to invest their own money to see if there indeed is a major oil source at the Dead Sea as seismic surveys seem to indicate is the case.

Whether this consortium finds a major source or not the Dead Sea is already an economic money machine. The Dead Sea Works extracts potassium, potash, and other minerals and chemicals from the Dead Sea that has become a large part of Israel's economy.

Bible prophecy refers to some type of spoil that will draw Russia and the coalition of nations found in Ezekiel 38, Daniel 11, and Psalm 83 into Israel in an effort to destroy the Jewish state and reap the benefits of some type of a spoil (Ezekiel 38:12-13). In fact, verse 13 refers to gold and silver as the spoil and remember, the oil drilling consortium referred to the oil at the Dead Sea as "black gold". I believe, however, that there could well be real gold in the Dead Sea, a belief also held by many Israeli officials.

The latest natural gas find off the Israeli coast and the potential for oil at the Dead Sea continues to make Israel a prized prey for her enemies to come after. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

United States soldiers have been accused of damaging the ancient Biblical site of Babylon

According to reports from Iraqi officials, the United States military did major damage to the Biblical site of Babylon including the area of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon which was converted into Camp Alpha the site of a multinational military operation. Babylon, one of the wonders of the ancient world, was damaged when the United States soldiers and their contractors caused major damage to the Ishtar Gate and the Processional Way by digging, cutting, and leveling the areas to meet military standards.

The United States Defense Department has agreed to pay $800,000 to help restore the Babylon site, a gesture that Iraqi officials say will help them prepare the Biblical site to become a major tourist attraction for Iraq.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The fact that the United States military did harm to the ancient Biblical site of Babylon and will now pay to fix the damage is evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

During the days of the late Saddam Hussein the ruler of modern day Iraq spent over 500 million dollars to refurbish the ancient city of Babylon located on the Euphrates River some 58 miles out of downtown Baghdad. In fact, Saddam thought that he himself was the reincarnation of Nebuchadnezzar who was the leader of the Babylonian Empire and the one who made the city of Babylon one of the Wonders of the Ancient World at that time in history. The fact that the United States military damaged this archaeological site is evidence that the prophecy of Jeremiah about Babylon has never been fulfilled.

Jeremiah, the ancient Jewish prophet in chapters 50 and 51 says seven times that Babylon will be completely destroyed and never lived in or visited ever again. Bible prophecy reveals that the literal city of Babylon will come back to power and will be the headquarters for a one world economic political governmental system to be headed up by the Antichrist (Revelation 18). The lead up to this happening will be the institution of a global economic structure (Revelation 13:16-17).

Before Babylon is completely destroyed, Jesus Christ will call Christians up to be with Him at the Rapture of the Church which could happen even today. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The chief of staff for the Israeli Defense Force says that the Bible is the guidebook for the military forces of Israel

The Israeli Defense Force Chief of Staff, General Gabi Ashkenazi, told the participants in the International Bible Quiz for Youth held in Jerusalem that the Israeli Defense Force sees the Bible as a guide in the deep and practical sense of the word. General Ashkenazi said that it is no accident that the Israeli Defense Force swears in soldiers with a weapon in one hand and the Bible in the other, a custom that reflects the uniqueness of the Israeli Defense Force and the deep bond of the Jewish people to the Book of Books.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A closer study of the Bible will give understanding of why the Israeli Defense Force chief of staff says that God's Word is the guidebook for Israel's military today and I would add for the future as well according to Bible prophecy.

Since the beginning of the Israeli Defense Force, with the founding of the modern-day state of Israel, every new soldier that was sworn in to defend the Jewish state was sworn in with a weapon in one hand and the Bible in the other. This practice is evidence to the world that the connection of the Jewish people with the Bible and all that it records about God's plan for the Jewish people is absolute.

As students of the Bible these military leaders in Israel, not only use God's Word for instruction in military strategy, but they want the new recruits to look to the Bible for their military career as well. There are a number of actual military activities recorded in the Bible that give input for Israel's military strategy. One in particular is the record of Gideon's plan of operation to defeat Israel's enemy (Judges 7). There are many stories of modern-day Israeli wars where only God could have given victory to the Jewish warriors which is based upon the name for the Jewish state Israel, which means "God will fight for you".

Indeed this is the case for the future as well when Israel comes under attack from the coalition of nations mentioned in Ezekiel 38 and records that the Lord will fight for the Jewish state by raining hailstone, fire, and brimstone from heaven upon Israel's attacking enemies and destroy them (Ezekiel 38:18 - Ezekiel 39:6).

The prophecies of Israel's military guidebook, the Bible, will indeed be fulfilled.

Many Americans expect Jesus to return to earth by 2050

In the latest Pew Research Center survey, 41% of the Americans polled believe that Jesus Christ will return to the earth in the next 40 years and 46% of those polled said that the Second Coming of Jesus Christ will probably or definitely not happen. The poll suggests that 58% of evangelicals believe that Jesus will return by 2050 and respondents with no college education were 3 times as likely as those with a college degree to expect the Second Coming of Jesus Christ in the next 40 years.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

According to the latest survey many Americans expect Jesus Christ to return to the earth within the next 40 years which is confirmed by Bible prophecy.

The latest Pew Research Center poll indicates a large number of Americans believe that Jesus Christ is coming back to earth and that it could happen within the next 40 years. If the numbers in the survey results are correct, that means millions of Americans do believe what Jesus had to say before He left the earth almost 2000 years ago - that was that He would return.

Though this survey is not a vote on whether Jesus will return or not, those who believe that He will are in alignment with what Bible prophecy says except that it may be sooner than 2050. In fact, the Second Coming of Jesus Christ could happen in just 7 years because the second coming scenario found in Bible prophecy reveals that a 7 year time of judgment will precede the Lord's return to earth. That 7 years, the Tribulation period, will be recognized by events foretold by the ancient Jewish prophets. For example, the Jews will return to their homeland, Middle Eastern nations will align themselves against Israel, while at the same time there will be an effort to bring about peace in the Middle East, and talk and preparations to build a temple in Jerusalem will also be very prevalent (Ezekiel 37 - 46).

The next event is the Rapture when Jesus Christ calls all Christians into heaven before worldwide judgment breaks out and that could happen today because Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

A senior research fellow at the Hudson Institute says that Jewish ties to the Temple Mount will bring peace to the Middle East

Dr. Max Singer a senior research fellow at the Begin Sadat Center for Strategic Studies says the only chance for real peace in the Middle East is if the western nations convince the Arabs that Jewish ties to the Temple Mount will bring about peace in the region.

Singer believes that the continual denial by the PA leadership of the Jewish people's ancient connection to the land of Israel and the sacred significance to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount where once stood two Jewish temples will hinder any peace efforts to the two peoples to coexist in the Middle East and thus only enhance the continuing conflict.

In spite of the fact that the PA Mufti Sheikh Sabri, the high ranking Islamic cleric, claims there has never been a Jewish presence on the Temple Mount, Jewish scholars cite many historic and Biblical sources to confirm that Jews have a 3000 year old connection to the Temple Mount and Jerusalem.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by the senior Jewish research fellow that Jewish ties to the Temple Mount will bring peace to the Middle East is right on target according to Bible prophecy.

Dr. Max Singer, the founder and senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, believes that if Jewish ties are restored to the Temple Mount and Jerusalem, there will be peace in the Middle East. Bible prophecy reveals that Dr. Singer is correct in the final outcome in the end of time scenario written by ancient Jewish prophets 2500 years ago. The prophet Samuel wrote in II Samuel 7 that one of King David's descendants would rule the world from a Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, that descendant will be Jesus Christ, the Jewish Messiah. Isaiah wrote that when the Temple, the house of the Lord, will be established in Jerusalem, nations would turn their military weapons into farming equipment and they would learn of war no more, thus peace in the world, Isaiah 2:1-4.

As the quest for peace in the Middle East continues, all must agree with the Bible, Jewish ties to the Temple Mount will indeed bring about peace.

Pro-Israel Christians are under attack

There is a new film being introduced to the Christian community that states, "God does not take sides with certain people groups, nations, or agendas" and the film is rebutting pro-Israel Christians and trying to persuade them to champion the Palestinian cause.

The film demonstrates a theology that does not favor one people group over another, but instead promotes peace for both Jews and Palestinians.

Critics of the film say that the film maker misuses scripture and wrongly manipulates the facts in the film and never answers many questions including, "How will the dwindling number of Palestinian Christians fair under a victorious new Islamic dominated Palestinian state?"

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

In spite of the fact that a newly released film says that God did not choose the Jews over other people groups and that He does not have an agenda for the Jews, a true study of God's Word says the opposite, according to Bible prophecy.

The new film, "With God on Our Side" produced by film maker Porter Speakman, is an effort to say Christians must not look at the Jews as God's chosen people and that the Lord does not have an agenda for the Jews in the future. The film accuses pro-Israel Christians as having no concern for the poor, that they stand for wars, that they want to be rich and more powerful, and that they have a self-promoting end of times agenda. These are pretty tough claims that have no real basis for being made in this attack on Christians who are pro-Bible and the agenda that God does have for the end times.

Moses wrote under inspiration in Deuteronomy 7:6-8 that God did choose the Jewish people to be a special people unto Himself and He did this because He loved them, not for any other reason. Down through history, God has preserved the Jewish people and used them as an illustration to the rest of humankind. The Lord does have an agenda for the Jews that He revealed in four covenants to them: the Abrahamic Covenant, Genesis 12, the Land Covenant, Deuteronomy 30, the Davidic Covenant, II Samuel 7, and the New Covenant, Jeremiah 31:31.

These promises from God reveal the Jews will be a nation with a piece of land and a Messiah ruling from a Temple in Jerusalem forever.

A Dutch political leader says that Jordan should change its name to Palestine

Geert Wilders is the political leader of the Party for Freedom in Holland and he believes that Jordan should be renamed Palestine, because this would end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the Middle East and provide the Palestinian people their own homeland.

Wilders believes that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is not a conflict over territory but rather an ideological battle between the mentality of the liberated West and the ideology of Islamic barbarism.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by a Dutch political leader that Jordan should change its name to Palestine is actually very close to what the Bible says about this piece of real estate.

There has been a number of Israeli political leaders who have suggested that there is a Palestinian state and it is the state of Jordan. The facts are that over 2/3 of Jordan's population is Palestinian and if Jordan was a true democracy and not a monarchy, the Palestinians would indeed have a state in our world. This report thus far has been based upon political reality, but the past and the prophetic of this issue does say that Jordan should be Palestine

In Genesis 36, God sent Esau to Mount Seir which was at that time, the lower third of what we know as modern day Jordan. In Biblical times, God changed the name of this area from Mount Seir to Edom and God did this after He changed the name of Esau to Edom. As you trace through the Bible the history of Esau who was Jacob's twin brother, up and until today you will see that Esau's descendants are indeed the Palestinian people.

God told Rebbecca, the mother of Jacob and Esau before they were born as they struggled in her womb, that the two brothers would become two nations, Genesis 25:23. Jacob, of course, became the nation of Israel and Esau, the Palestinian people of today. God gave Esau and his descendants, the Palestinian people, at least a portion of modern day Jordan, Genesis 36:8.

The Dutch politician is pretty much on target. Jordan should be called Palestine, the homeland for the Palestinian people who are key players in the end times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

The Russian president says he is ready to lead the way to a new world order

At the opening of annual economic forum in St. Petersburg, Russia where hundreds of global chief executives are gathered, the Russian President Medvedev said that he and his government are willing to help lead efforts to build a new world economic order after the old system collapsed in the present global financial crisis. Medvedev says that the bubbles that created the illusion of flourishing economies have burst which the Russian leader said is a situation which creates a challenge and an opportunity for Russia to build a modern, flourishing, and strong Russia that would then be a co-founder of a world economic order and a full partner in the collective political leadership of the post economic crisis world - a new world order.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A Russian political leader calling for a new world order is a page out of Bible prophecy that is closer than ever before to being fulfilled.

Since the fall of the former Soviet Union Russian leaders have been working towards coming back to power as world leaders as they once were in the past. Vladimir Putin, when President of Russia made great strides toward that goal and many think that Putin's decision to put his own man in as President of Russia was a part of an overall plan to come back to that leadership position in the future. However, Mr. Medvedev, Russia's president, has become somewhat of a world leader on his own. Now with the call for a new world economic order by Russian President Medvedev his leadership is becoming stronger and could lead Russia and the rest of the world into the end of times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

In Revelation 18 we see the last days prophecy of a worldwide economic power base headquartered in Babylon, which is modern day Iraq. Revelation 13:16-17 sets the stage for all mankind who may be on the earth during the Tribulation period to have an identification mark on the back of the hand or the forehead in order to be able to buy or sell life's essentials. Ezekiel 36:2 states that Russia, Magog in the Scriptures, will be a major player in the end times. When you consider all of these prophecies you can see how Russian President Medvedev's call for a new world economic order is indeed a page out of Bible prophecy - Bible prophecy that will be fulfilled.

Thousands of Jewish settlers say they will use all forms of force to stop evacuation of the Jewish settlements

Under pressure from the United States, the European Union, and the United Nations, the Israeli government has not only implemented a construction freeze in the Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria, but the Netanyahu government in Israel is considering evacuating some of the Jewish settlements. In light of these political decisions, there is a growing number of the Jewish settlers who are now saying all means must be employed to resist the evacuation of Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria and that would include the use of arms.

In a recent poll carried out by Hebrew University, thousands of Jewish settlers say that they would take up arms to stop their own government from evacuating their families from their homes and real estate where they have lived for over four decades and believe this is land that God has given to them.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The pressure from the United States, the European Union, and United Nations on the Israeli government to deal with the Jewish settlers in Judea and Samaria is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Almost on a daily basis some leader from the United States or the European Union or United Nations makes a statement to apply pressure on Israel to deal with the Jewish settlers in Judea and Samaria. The term "to deal with" is code for stop all building in the settlements and make plans to evacuate the settlers from these Israeli communities.

Moment by moment the Israeli government is starting to yield to the pressure and many settlers feel that their own government will give the order to evacuate the Jews from what they consider God given land. In fact, 21% of all Jewish settlers, now you're talking about 100,000 Jewish settlers, these people are ready to take up arms against their own government and against the Jewish people. This situation is motivating many settlement leaders to consider the alternative - a second Jewish state in the Middle East.

Bible prophecy actually calls for a second Jewish state during the Tribulation period to come, that's the seven years of judgment after the Rapture and before the return of Jesus Christ to the earth. The prophecy of this second Jewish state is actually found in Ezekiel 37:15-23. This second Jewish state would be called Judah and there are right now those at work in Israel to bring this prophecy to pass.

Continuing pressure to evacuate the Jewish settlements is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Israeli's view President Obama as pro-Arab and one rabbi says that the United States President is not the Almighty

In a recent public opinion poll taken in Israel, a lop sided plurality of 42% of Israelis viewed President Obama as pro-Arab and only 7% see him as pro-Israel.

Meanwhile, a rabbi who served in the Israeli Knesset, Rabbi Chaim Druckman, says that US President Barack Obama thinks he holds the wheel in his hand and leads the world, but according to the rabbi, the people of Israel deal with the Almighty who leads this world.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Israeli rabbi who says the Almighty, not Barack Obama, leads this world and controls Israel is right on target that is according to Bible prophecy.

For more than a year, US President Obama has been dictating to the Israeli government what must be done in order for the peace process to work and to bring an end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. President Obama first addressed the Islamic world from Cairo, Egypt and said that the Israeli Jewish settlements are illegal and must be removed. The recent flap over Jewish building in Jerusalem is the absolute evidence that President Obama wants to control the Israeli government and its prime minister. This motivated one very prestigious Israeli rabbi, Chaim Druckman, to say the obvious, that Barack Obama is not the Almighty and that the Jewish state does not take direction from President Obama but the Jews take their orders from the Almighty.

God's Word, the Bible, does agree with the rabbi that the Almighty is still in charge. God brought the Jews into existence and they are His chosen people, Deuteronomy 7:6-8. God has chosen to dwell among His people, the Jewish people, in Jerusalem and that He will do forever, Psalm 132:13-14.

Today, all of Judaism does not look to the God of the Bible as their leader, however, there is a large segment of Jewish people who believe in the new covenant of Jeremiah 31 which says that the Lord will be their God and the Jewish people, His people, the Almighty's people, and that will happen in the future, Jeremiah 31:31-34.

A new Jewish interfaith group says the Jewish temple can be built on Jerusalem's Temple Mount without the destruction of the Islamic Dome of the Rock

Recently, a new Jewish interfaith group launched a project to diffuse religious strife by showing that the end of times vision of the Jewish people, a temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, could be fulfilled without destroying the Islamic Dome of the Rock. Yoav Frankel, director of the initiative, believes that the Jewish temple can be built alongside the Dome of the Rock and this would transform the Temple Mount from a place of contention to a place of worship shared by Jews, Moslems, and Christians.

Islamic cleric Sheik Abdulla Darwish says that as long as there is one Moslem alive, there will be no Jewish temple and the Jewish activist Baruch Ben-Yosef, made it clear that the Temple must be built where the Dome of the Rock now stands.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The continuing debate between Moslems and Jews about what has the right to occupy the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, the Dome of the Rock or a Jewish Temple, is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

3000 years ago the Jewish King Solomon built the first Jewish temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. A second Jewish temple was also erected there after the Babylonian captivity and Jews returned to Jerusalem some 2500 years ago.

The destruction of the city of Jerusalem and the Jewish temple by the Romans in 70AD left the Temple Mount empty of a Jewish worship center. The Moslems, in 691AD, built the Dome of the Rock on the site where the two Jewish temples had once stood. For the last 2000 years, Jews have prayed daily for the temple to be rebuilt on the exact spot where the first two temples stood and where the Islamic building now stands. A growing number of religious Jews are preparing to erect the third temple on the Temple Mount and they believe that the Dome of the Rock must come down.

Many ancient Jewish prophets wrote of the temple being rebuilt in the last days - Daniel, (Daniel 9:27) Ezekiel, (Ezekiel 40-46) Zechariah, (Zechariah 1:16,6:12-13) and even the Apostle John (Revelation 11:1-2).

Any suggestion of building the Jewish temple alongside the Islamic Dome of the Rock contradicts prophecy.

Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

A British astronomer says that the end of the world as we know it could happen at any time

The British astronomer Chris Impey says astronomical intruders could provide a serious threat to our world as we know it and could cause global earthquakes, mile high tidal waves and the immediate killing of all large land animals.

The astronomer says that the "big one" as he described such an astronomical event happens every 100 million years which Impey said sounds like a safe buffer but he says there is good evidence that the next "big one" could happen at any time which has astronomers setting up ground based telescopes that scan the skies in search of some time of astronomical intruder.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The report from a British astronomer who says the end of the world is near is pretty much on target according to Bible prophecy.

The British astronomer Chris Impey who believes that astronomical intruders may be about to alter our world as we know it today and bring the world to an end has an interesting and informative paper that discusses what many have talked about for centuries. Although such an astronomical invasion happens only every 100 million years according to the astronomer, he still believes the next such event is about to happen.

Any student of Bible prophecy that has an understanding of the end of time events as revealed in the book of Revelation knows that the end of the world is at least 1,007 years into the future.

John, who received the message of his prophecy in Revelation from Jesus Christ, revealed that the next main event in Bible prophecy to be fulfilled will be the Rapture of the Church, Revelation 4:1. Revelation 4-19 is 16 chapters of detailed information about that seven year Tribulation Period that follows the Rapture. At the end of that seven years of tribulation, the Messiah, Jesus Christ, will return to the earth to defeat all of His enemies, Revelation 19, and He then will setup His Kingdom for 1,000 years, Revelation 20:4-6.

That Kingdom is not now in place. It will be in place when Jesus returns to Jerusalem to build His Temple where He will rule and reign for that 1,000 years and then forever into eternity future.

A Dutch political leader says that liberal politicians are facilitating the spread of Islamic holy war

The Dutch political leader, Geert Wilders, addressing the British House of Lords told them that liberal political leaders are facilitating the spread of Islamic jihad, Islamic holy war, because they consider Islam as being equal to the culture of the West. Wilders believes that Islam is not compatible with the Western way of life and is a threat to the West - Islam and freedom, Islam and democracy are not compatible - Islam wants to dominate all aspects of life from the cradle to the grave.

Wilders has a film that warns the world of Islam's desire to set up a caliphate, a worldwide kingdom under Islam and holy war as the means to that end.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The spread of radical Islam with the help of liberal politicians is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Today one in every four people on the earth are of the Islamic faith and that number is increasing daily. There are several voices in our world that are shouting out a warning to humankind to be alert to the global designs of Islam. One such voice is that of the Dutch politician Geert Wilders who with his documentary film and lectures around the world, is warning the world that there may be moderate Moslems, the people of Islam, but there is no moderate Islam, the religion. Wilders says that the Islamic holy book, the Koran, calls for a worldwide kingdom under the god of Islam, Allah, and Islamic jihad, holy war, as the means to reaching that goal.

Bible prophecy itself calls for a worldwide kingdom under Jesus Christ, the holy One of the Holy Bible. In fact, God made a promise to King David many years ago that that would happen. It is called the Davidic Covenant recorded in II Samuel 7. The Bible says that there will be a kingdom headquartered in Jerusalem (Zechariah 6:12-13) and it will last for 1000 years (Revelation 20:4-6). The Bible actually contradicts the Koran. The Koran says that the Islamic god Allah had no son. The Bible says that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the coming King of the worldwide kingdom.

The liberal politicians helping the spread of Islam is indeed helping to set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas was not truthful to President Obama at their White House meeting

In the recent meeting at the White House between President Obama and the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian leader told the President that his Palestinian Authority was not guilty of incitement against Israel and all that the Palestinian people wanted was to live in coexistence with Israel in order to bring about the independent state of Palestine. According to Itamar Marcus, the director of Palestinian Media Watch, they have documented in a report that Palestinian Authority incitement to hatred and violence and non-recognition of Israel has continued unabated which is in direct contradiction to the statements made by Abbas to President Obama.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

In direct contradiction to the statements made to President Obama at the White House by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, Palestinian television continues to call for the destruction of the state of Israel through violence which is a scenario that was foretold by the ancient Jewish prophets.

Even as Palestinian Authority President Abbas sat with President Obama in the White House telling the United States President that his Palestinian government was not involved in incitement against the Jewish state of Israel, the Palestinian Authority television was airing programming contradicting the Abbas claims. Palestinian Media Watch has much documentation to prove the opposite including children's programming that claims all of Israel is actually a Palestinian state, not a Jewish state. Palestinian Authority television says the Palestinian struggle against Israel is an uncompromising war for Allah against the Jewish state.

Ezekiel wrote that the Palestinians would rise up and kill the Jews and then take their land (Ezekiel 35). Malachi said that the Palestinians, Esau's descendants, would return to Israel and set up borders that God would call the "borders of wickedness" (Malachi 1). Jeremiah 49:18 says that the Palestinian people would be a Sodom and Gomorrah, as if they had never been. Obadiah, in his prophecy, said this scenario would come to pass with the return of Messiah Jesus Christ to the earth.

The ancient Jewish prophets are correct - Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The cataclysmic explosion of a giant star is the most distant object ever detected by telescopes

NASA's Swift space observatory which is tuned to see high energy gamma ray emitted from extreme events has picked up a colossal blast, the cataclysmic explosion of a giant star, the most distant single object ever detected by telescopes.

Other telescopes that followed up on the signal confirmed the source to be more than 13 billion light years away and scientists say the star's destruction probably resulted in what astronomers call a black hole.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The cataclysmic explosion of a giant star at the most distant location ever detected by scientists has a past significance as well as a prophetic significance according to Bible prophecy.

With the power of a satellite that can see farther into outer space than ever before, the scientific world has observed the most distant single object ever detected by a telescope, the cataclysmic explosion of a giant star. The scientific world believes this event will give them more information on the origins of our universe, a quest for truth that is not looking to the right source for the truth when all they must do is look to the source for this knowledge written by the only One who observed it happen and could do it again, and in fact will do it again.

Let me explain. The Bible, Genesis chapter 1, tells how God created the heavens and the earth and all that is in them including this star that exploded deep in space, Genesis 1:1-16. In the future, God will destroy this whole universe, II Peter 3:10, and create, as He did the first time, new heavens and a new earth, Revelation 21:1. The Apostle Peter wrote that very brilliant people will be dumb on purpose at the time of the end and they will deny the truth of Creation given to us by God, the One who did it, observed it and then had Moses write about it, II Peter 3:5-7.

The Apostle Peter also said people who deny God created the heavens and the earth and all that in them is will also deny that Jesus Christ is coming back, but I must remind you that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The search engine Yahoo and the Apple iPhone have divided the holy city of Jerusalem

Internet giant Yahoo and the Apple computer firm have decided not to wait for the Israelis and the Palestinians to decide on the final status talks and the determination of the borders of a Palestinian state and the status on the holy city of Jerusalem. In practice, these two giant firms have made the decision to divide Jerusalem into East and West.

On Yahoo weather page the iPhone user is offered two Middle East options when requesting weather information for Jerusalem, East Jerusalem and West Jerusalem, preempting the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations and the dividing of the holy city of Jerusalem.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The action by Yahoo and the Apple computer firm to divide the holy city of Jerusalem is another evidence that this world is entering into the end of times as foretold in Bible prophecy.

As world leaders endeavor to bring resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the issue of the final status of Jerusalem is at the top of every agenda in the peace process. The Palestinians say that they must have at least a portion of Jerusalem as the capital of their state called Palestine. The Israelis contend that Jerusalem is the undivided, eternal capital of the Jewish people and the holy city will not be divided again.

By the way, I must remind you that there is not a city called East Jerusalem or West Jerusalem, there is only Jerusalem. Once again the issue of Jerusalem and the controversy surrounding the holy city is front and center. King David named Jerusalem as the political capital of the Jewish people 3000 years ago, II Samuel 5. God has selected Jerusalem to dwell among the Jewish people forever, Psalm 132:13-14. Jesus Christ told the Jewish prophet Zechariah that He would return to Jerusalem to build His Temple where He would rule and reign in His Kingdom to come, Zechariah 1:16, 6:12-13.

God's plan for Jerusalem will override the division of the holy city by Yahoo and iPhone. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

When the leaders of Russia, Iran, and Turkey hold a summit on security in the Middle East, you can know that the world is ever so close to the last days scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

In the recent summit on security held in Istanbul, Turkey the leaders of three major world powers, Russia, Iran and Turkey met to discuss the issues facing not only the Middle East, but the world as well, the issues of the proliferation of nuclear power and the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Coming into the meeting, all three leaders, Russian PM Putin, Iran's President Ahmadinejad and the Turkish PM Tayip Erdogan all had opinions that Iran has the right to arm itself with Nuclear Weapons of Mass Destruction.

This scenario unfolding in our world today is advancing the preparations for the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel wrote 2500 years ago of an alignment of nations that would attack the Jewish state of Israel in the last days. Ezekiel 38:2-6 reveals the nations in this coalition and the first three mentioned are Magog, modern day Russia, Meshech and Tubal in verse 2 and Gomer and Togarmah in verse 6 which is modern day Turkey. The nation, Persia, listed in Ezekiel 38:5 is modern day Iran.

The summit on security held in Istanbul, Turkey with the leaders of Russia, Iran and Turkey seated at the table is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration says that a coming solar storm could cause 20 times the damage of Hurricane Katrina

Richard Fisher, a leader with NASA, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, says that the earth and space are about to come into contact in a way that is new to human history, adding that the sun is waking up from a deep slumber and in the next few years, we can expect to see much higher levels of solar activity. Fisher said that at the same time our society who has more technology that in the past has developed an unprecedented sensitivity to solar storms with GPS navigation, air travel, financial services, radio communications, and even our power grids that could be knocked out by intense solar activity.

The National Academy of Sciences has warned that a century class solar storm could cause 20 times more economic damage then Hurricane Katrina did several years ago.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The warning by NASA and The National Academy of Sciences that a soon coming solar storm could cause economic damage 20 times that of Hurricane Katrina is a precursor to the end of times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

Leaders of NASA and The National Academy of Sciences are warning that our technological society must wake up to the fact that the sun is waking up from a deep slumber that could wreak havoc to our society today with all of its technology used in daily life. This report seems to be a page out of Bible prophecy and what the ancient Jewish prophets said would happen in the last days.

The book of Revelation is full of passages that foretell of this type of activity in our solar system. Revelation 6:12 speaks of the solar changes that affect the earth. Revelation 8:7-11 reveal ecological judgment on the earth from the heavens. John, who wrote the book of Revelation, wrote of the sun being destroyed by one third (Revelation 8:12). John also revealed that the sun will scorch man on earth to the extent that he will even blaspheme God for this judgment. These judgments upon the earth and earth dwellers happen in the seven year Tribulation period that is coming.

This warning from NASA is indeed a precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

A group of rabbis in Israel say the Israeli Defense Force clash with the flotilla headed towards Gaza is the beginning of the Gog and Magog prophecy

The Rabbinical Council of Judea and Samaria has issued a statement that the results of the incident in which Israel intercepted a flotilla trying to break the naval blockade of Gaza seems like the Biblical description of the beginning of the Gog and Magog prophecy. The rabbis said that Ezekiel's prophecy of Gog and Magog, Ezekiel 38, is the prophecy of the Bible that deals with the world turning against the Jewish state of Israel - but it ends with the third and final redemption of the Jewish people.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The fact that a group of Israeli rabbis see the beginning of the prophetic scenario found in Ezekiel 38 and 39 is absolute evidence that we are closer than ever before to the battle of Gog and Magog.

There is a profound prophetic passage found in the prophecy of the prophet Ezekiel that has caught the attention of a group of Israeli rabbis. The passage calls for the world, according to the rabbi, to turn against the Jewish state of Israel. The rabbis believe that the battle of Gog and Magog found in Ezekiel 38 and 39, is about to be fulfilled as a result of the world's condemnation of Israel for its interception of the flotilla that tried to break the naval blockade of Gaza. What is interesting is that the list of nations referred to in Ezekiel 38 includes the Middle East nation from which the flotilla embarked on its trip to Gaza.

Ezekiel, the ancient Jewish prophet, prewrote history in his prophecy and mentioned Meshech, Gomer, Tubal, and Togarmah, in Ezekiel 38:2, as a major player when the Middle Eastern Islamic world does indeed turn violently against Israel. Any student of Biblical geography knows that Meshech, Gomer, Tubal, and Togarmah are the Biblical locations for modern-day Turkey. However, Turkey, according to Bible prophecy, is only one of the coalition of nations that will come against Israel. Daniel 11 mentions Syria and Ezekiel 38:5 also includes Iran.

The rabbis are on the right track. It does appear that Ezekiel 38 will indeed be fulfilled in the near future.

A secret meeting by the world's financial elite could decide the fate of Europe's economic crisis

A secret meeting of the elite financial leaders of the world being held in one of Spain's most exclusive resorts may hold the future of the Euro, Europe's common currency, in its hands as it meets to discuss the fate of the Euro and the economic crisis facing the European Union. This secret gathering held on an annual basis and made up of the world's greatest financial minds today will discuss the erosion of the Euro which they believe could nudge the world into a financial crisis that could trigger unrest and radicalization of the political climate.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A meeting of the world's elite financial leaders to determine the outcome of the Euro and Europe's economic crisis is a precursor to the end of time scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

The Bilderbergers, and elite group of financial leaders from across the world meet annually to discuss the economic situations in our world today. Their most recent meeting focused on the financial crisis in Europe and the Euro, Europe's common currency, to see if indeed there is a solution to this expanding crisis. There are fears that if the Euro fails it could cause a global crisis like has not been seen pushing the world into economic turmoil.

This report of an elite group of financial leaders secretly meeting to solve Europe's economic woes has a real connection to the last days scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy. The apostle John, the author of the prophetic book of Revelation, wrote 2000 years ago that the last 3 1/2 years leading up to the return of the Messiah Jesus Christ would be focus on the economy of the world and how mankind would handle any financial crisis. Revelation 18 speaks of an economic world headquarters located in Babylon, the Biblical name for modern-day Iraq. According to this prophetic account, the merchants of the world would become very rich in partnership with the world leader at that time known as the Antichrist. All alive on earth during that period would have an identification mark on their forehead or the back of their hand in order to be able to buy or sell anything (Revelation 13:16-17).

An elite group, known as the Bilderbergers, meeting to resolve the worlds financial woes in secret meetings, is indeed a precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Sharia Law, the law of the land in Islamic nations, is making great strides in the Middle East, into the West, and in fact, around the world

Pakistan recently gave in to the pressures of Islamist militants and in order to buy off peace, Pakistani authorities allowed the imposition of Sharia, Islamic law, to be implemented in the Swat Valley, a war-torn tribal area of the Islamic nation of Pakistan.

The Pakistani government not only allowed a precedent that could spread throughout all Pakistan, but the truth be known, Islamic law, Sharia law, is making inroads across all of the Middle East and even creeping into the Western countries as well.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The spread of Sharia law, Islamic law, across the Middle East and in the nations in the West coupled with the ever-expanding Moslem populations around the world is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

European leaders have been very concerned with the ever-expanding Moslem populations in their nations and have been confused as how to handle this phenomenon. Now, in these highly populated Moslem areas, there has surfaced a new phenomenon, the demand for Sharia law, the Islamic law of the land, to be implemented and these Moslem communities want this done right now. Sharia law is the law of the land that would rule every nation in the world if Islamic leaders are successful in bringing about a worldwide caliphate, an Islamic kingdom on earth with everyone subject to Allah, the Islamic god.

Ancient Jewish prophets, though not using the words Islam or Sharia, actually spoke to the issue under discussion in their volumes of pre-written history. Joel in Joel 2:3-4 spoke of a mighty militia, a Moslem militia, the largest the world has ever seen, heading towards Jerusalem to destroy the Jewish state. Daniel 11:40-44, Ezekiel 38 and Psalm 83 all list nations that will join this mighty Moslem militia to destroy the Jewish state of Israel.

The spread of Sharia law as the law of the land in more and more nations in our world today is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The Israeli FM says that the rush to judgment by world leaders is very hypocritical

Israeli FM Avigdor Lieberman in a phone conversation with Ban Ki Moon, secretary general of the UN, told the secretary that the International Community was two-faced in there condemnation of the Israeli military to keep their borders secure and the world leaders were ignoring key issues pertaining to other countries by attacking Israel's actions against the so-called humanitarian flotilla trying to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza.

There are reports that the organizers of the flotilla are an Islamic group that sponsors terrorists and that Arab television had documented the flotilla participants shouting the well known Islamic battle cry invoking the killing and defeat of Jews in battle.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The world leaders rushing to judgment of Israel's military action to protect its borders by stopping the humanitarian flotilla is evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

It has been astounding to watch as the world has rushed to judgment against Israel for doing what every other sovereign nation does, protect its borders from enemy elements. Under the guise of humanitarian aid, a terrorist supporting Islamic organization endeavored to break the blockade that the Israeli government put in place to keep military equipment and munitions out of the hands of a terrorist group Hamas, who has called for the total destruction of the Jewish state of Israel.

Video footage of the military confrontation indicates that the Israeli troops came under fire before engaging the flotilla participants. This report is further evidence that the end of times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy is moving so very close to being fulfilled. The ancient Jewish prophets wrote of a time when the nations of the Middle East would align themselves against Israel, Ezekiel 38 and Daniel 11.

The revived Roman Empire also will come against the Jewish state in the last days, Daniel 7:7-24. By the way, the EU today is at least the infrastructure for the revived Roman Empire. Revelation 18 says that the international, economic, political governmental community will want to destroy the Jewish state as well.

The world's rush to judgment against Israel is evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
