Tens of thousands of Jews entered the Palestinian territories to celebrate the Jewish scriptures

Tens of thousands of Jewish worshipers entered the city of Hevron, a Palestinian town in the disputed territories, to celebrate the Jewish scriptures with the reading of the Torah - the portion found in Genesis 23 - a record of Abraham 4,000 years ago purchasing a burial site for his wife and himself.

David Wilder, spokesperson for the Jewish community of about 1,000 living in Hevron, says this gathering shows the tremendous support the Jewish people have for residents of Hevron and reaffirms their commitment to live in this biblical city. The high point of this large gathering of Jews in Hevron is the reading of Genesis 23 on the exact spot where biblical history took place some 4,000 years ago.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Tens of thousands of Jews gathered in Hevron reading Genesis 23 is evidence that the Jews do have a claim to the land of Israel as promised in Bible prophecy.

Annually, tens of thousands of Jewish worshipers ascend to Hevron in the disputed territories of Israel to read a portion of the Torah, Genesis 23 - a record of the Jewish right to the land. Hevron's Jewish community of around 1,000 Jews surrounded by 150,000 Palestinian Arabs has been a controversial spot for centuries with the Jews claiming their biblical and legal right to the land in Hevron. They say that the Jewish scriptures found in Genesis 23 gives them the title deed to this piece of real estate.

Bible prophecy confirms this Jewish claim for not only Hevron and the Machpelah Cave, but all the land that God promised Abraham and the Jews forever. Genesis 15 and 38 other portions of scripture, reveals that God promised the Jews 10 times what they have today, which includes: half of Egypt, all of Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria, half of Iraq and 3/4 of Saudi Arabia. In Ezekiel 34 God said 18 times that He would give the Jews this land in the Last Days. Deuteronomy 30 is a record of the Land Covenant God made with the Jewish people.

Tens of thousands of Jews in Hevron reading Genesis 23 is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
