The events of 2010 could well have set the stage for the fulfillment of end time prophecy in 2011

Listen to Today's Program Play

The geopolitical events of 2010, like the United States military pullout from Iraq, Iran's continued development of a nuclear weapon of mass destruction, the Afghan war, and the potential for Russia's Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to become once again president of his nation have a connection to the prewritten history found in Bible prophecy.

However, the most significant indicators of the of the times of the end upon us is what has unfolded in the Middle East in 2010 and what 2011 seems to hold for our world is dramatic evidence of the fulfillment of all Bible prophecy in God's Word.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Even though the prophetic evidence from God's Word seems to say the return to earth by Jesus Christ is very close at hand there are still those who deny that Jesus will come back very soon.

The Bible teaches that no one can know for sure when the prophetic scenario in God's Word will be fulfilled and Jesus will return to the earth to set up His kingdom. However, Jesus in His Olivet Discourse, found in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 reveals that He gave His disciples just before His death a number of significant indicators to look for which would signal the Lord's return to the earth. A short list of these events during 2010 as they relate to Bible prophecy can help us to truly recognize the times in which we are living.

The war in Afghanistan (Ezekiel 38:5), the US troop pullout from war torn Iraq (Revelation 18), and the desire of Russia's Prime Minister Putin to regain his leadership role in Russia (Ezekiel 38:2), plus the repeal of the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy of the United States military (Luke 17) all point to the fact that we are living in the last days.

The ancient Jewish prophet Daniel foretold of a strong political power arising in the last days in Europe, Daniel 7:7-24, which is actually a prophecy of the revived Roman Empire. However, if an honest observer of current events unfolding in the Middle East will compare these present activities to the end times scenario found in God's Word, they will understand how close we are to the Lord's return in 2011. The evidence can be seen as we watch Iran and its partners, the Moslem nations, align themselves against Israel (Ezekiel 38). In Ezekiel 35 and Obadiah we can see foretold that the Palestinians will take the land from the Jewish people and the Jewish desire to see a temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, and Revelation 11:1 is absolute evidence to indicate that all Bible prophecy is about to be fulfilled.

The Chief of Staff of the IDF from a monument to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy says Israel is alive and well today

Listen to Today's Program Play

Israeli Chief of Staff General Gabi Ashkenazi speaking at the Arch of Titus in Rome, Italy said on the day of the most recent Tisha B'Av, the ninth day of the Jewish month of Av, the day when 1940 years ago, the Roman leader General Titus led the Roman army to destroy the Temple in Jerusalem, General Ashkenazi said even though this was a terrible time in Jewish history, Israel is alive today.

The Arch of Titus was erected by the Roman emperor in 70AD and he built the Arch, still standing in Rome today, to celebrate his son's victory over the Jewish people and the destruction of the Temple.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Arch of Titus in Rome, Italy is a monument to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy but it is also tangible evidence that yet to be fulfilled Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The Chief of Staff of the IDF, General Gabi Ashkenazi, stood on last Tisha B'Av at the Arch of Titus in Rome and said that the Jewish people, Israel, is alive and ready to defend itself against another tragedy like the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple in 70AD which the Arch commemorates and has for over 1900 years. When General Titus led the Roman army to destroy the Jewish Temple, devastate the city of Jerusalem, and disperse the Jews to the four corners of the earth, this Roman leader was actually fulfilling Bible prophecy.

Some 40 years earlier in 30AD, Jesus in His Olivet Discourse told His disciples that the Temple would be destroyed. General Titus fulfilled the Lord's prophecy and the Arch of Titus is the monument to the fulfillment of this prophecy. However, Jesus also said in that very profound prophecy message that there would be signs to alert the Jews of a time of real judgment on the Jewish people in a time yet future and it would appear just before the judgment began.

Jesus said there would be deception and signs, wonders, and miracles prevalent in our world, Matthew 24:4, 5, 11, 24. Jesus also said wars and rumors of wars would prevail, Matthew 24:6-7 and there would also be preparations to rebuild the Jewish Temple, Matthew 24:15.

General Ashkenazi at the Arch of Titus in Rome speaks to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy, but also to additional Bible prophecy that will be fulfilled in the future.

The Mufti of Jerusalem says that Israeli control of Hebron, Bethlehem, and Jerusalem could start a religious war

Listen to Today's Program Play

Jerusalem's Mufti Mohammed Hussein, the highest ranking Islamic cleric in Jerusalem, says that Israeli sovereignty over Hebron, Bethlehem, and Jerusalem, three of the most important holy sites in Judaism, could start a religious war.

Hebron is the location of the burial site of the Jewish patriarchs. Bethlehem is where Jacob buried his wife, Rachel and in Jerusalem, the Temple Mount is the holiest site for the Jewish people and the location where Jews want to build a temple in the near future.

The mufti's says Israel's claim to these Jewish holy sites is an attempt to take over the religious sites and Moslems are now in a period of war, not with tanks and rockets, but a religious war.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by the mufti of Jerusalem that Israel's claim to their holy sites is a declaration of a religious war is a page out of Bible prophecy for the last days.

The Israeli government has established a list of heritage sites in Israel, sacred sites that are a part of Jewish history. Included in that list are three locations that the mufti of Jerusalem says will be the cause for a religious war if Israel stands firm on their claims to these sites. The sites include Rachel's tomb in Bethlehem, Rachel being Jacob's wife who died in childbirth, Genesis 35. Genesis 23 is the record of Abraham paying cash money for the Machpelah Cave, the burial site for the patriarchs of the Jewish people: Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. Israel's King David also paid cash money to Ornan the Jebusite for his threshing floor on Mt. Moriah, the site for the two previous Jewish temples in Jerusalem, I Chronicles 21.

The threat of a religious war between the Jews and the Moslems is setting the stage for an end of times conflict between these two peoples. The ancient prophet Joel, in Joel 2:2-3, warned that the largest militia ever formed on the earth will come to Jerusalem to take control of the Jewish holy sites. There is only one group of people today who could form such a militia and also people who want to control Hebron, Bethlehem, and the holy city of Jerusalem, that would be the Moslem people.

The Jerusalem mufti is right. There will be a religious war.

The most popular religion in the US is Judaism

Listen to Today's Program Play

According to Harvard Professor Robert Putnam as revealed in his recently released book "American Grace: How Religion Divides and Unites the United States" the most popular religion in the US is not Catholicism or Mormonism, it is Judaism.

Putnam, in a previous book he published, indicated that America was losing its social capital, but that Americans were a deeply religious people, more so on average than in Iran for example. Putnam said he thinks what brought about the surprising popularity of these historically persecuted people was that the American public may have learned the lessons of the injustice wrought upon the chosen people in the past.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Though a recent survey says that in America the most popular religion is Judaism, the end times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy contradicts those findings.

Harvard professor and author Robert Putnam has released his findings of a survey taken from among 3000 people, a cross section of America, that reveals Judaism is the most popular religion among Americans. These findings are very interesting; however, they are somewhat difficult to believe when one reads the reports of growing Antisemitism in America and around the world. Some have said that this survey may indicate that there are those who embrace Judaism because of guilt from the way that the world has traditionally persecuted the Jewish people. Whatever the reason for Judaism's popularity in America, the future does not bode well for the Jews.

In a seven year period of time known as the Tribulation Period, the Jewish people will not be very popular and in fact will be the focus of not only persecution but an effort for the complete annihilation of the Jewish people on earth, that scenario is revealed in Revelation 14-19. In these 16 chapters, it is evident that the sources of evil, both man and angels will try to eliminate the Jews from the world, Revelation 12:13-17. Zechariah, another ancient Jewish prophet, says that two-thirds of the Jews will be killed during this same period of time, Zechariah 13:8.

Judaism may be popular today, but in the future, the Jews will be the target for destruction.

The Palestinian Authority president says there will be no Jews in a Palestinian state

Listen to Today's Program Play

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas announced recently that in an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, there will be no Israeli Jews living there which includes the almost 500,000 Jews that now are living in the area of Judea and Samaria with over 200 Jewish settlements in the same area including the Old City of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.

The Palestinian Authority president accused the United States of not putting enough pressure on the Israeli government to stop construction in the Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria and the eastern section of the city of Jerusalem.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A statement by the Palestinian Authority president that there will be no Jews in a Palestinian state contradicts and confirms the Bible which reveals the end of times scenario for the Jewish people.

As the Jewish people and the Palestinians fail to bring about a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, both sides have been using rhetoric that has not helped the peace process. Recently, Palestinian President Abbas made the announcement that in a Palestinian state there would not be any Jewish people. That's in contradiction to the efforts to bring peace to the area by stating that some Jewish settlements and settlers could choose to live where they are living today which is in an area within the borders of what could be the Palestinian state. It is interesting to note there are hundreds of thousands of Palestinians today who are living in the Jewish state. The Bible has insight into the future as it relates to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, a conflict that has been going on for some 4000 years.

The Israelis and the Palestinians both have ancestors and a history as recorded in the Bible and this record starts in Genesis 25 with the birth of twin boys, Jacob and Esau. A study of Bible history brings us to the facts, Jacob's descendants are the Jewish people of today and Esau's heritage would be the Palestinians of today. The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel reveals that in the last days the Israelis will be killed by the Palestinians who will then take the land that God has given the Jewish people, Ezekiel 35.

The Palestinians can say that there will be no Jewish people in a Palestinian state but remember, Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

There has been a miraculous mysterious birth reported to have taken place in a shepherd's field near Bethlehem in Israel

Listen to Today's Program Play
We have a report of a birth taking place in an open field near the little Arab village of Bethlehem. The shepherds are reporting they have found the newborn babe with His parents; the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger, a food trough for the animals.

There are also reports that last night, their were Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) in the skies over and around Bethlehem. Some of the shepherds are saying that the UFOs were actually angels and this host of angels were actually singing joyful songs of the long awaited Jewish Messiah. There are unconfirmed reports that this little baby is the One that has been spoken of by the ancient Jewish prophets for hundreds of years, the one to be born in Bethlehem and to become the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, the Son of God.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The birth of Jesus Christ fulfilled all the prophecies in the Bible for the presence of God with us - Emmanuel - and it does actually set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

For over 2,000 years the story of the birth of Christ - which is recorded in four chapters of the Bible Matthew 1-2 and Luke 1-2, actually only 168 verses - has been responsible for authors writing so many books that one library could not contain all of the volumes. The composers have penned the music and lyrics for musical manuscripts with Jesus Christ as the theme of these musical numbers, the most used theme in all of music history.

Though Jesus never traveled more than 100 miles from His hometown, men and women have traveled to the far reaches of this earth to tell others the story of this man, the God-man born 2,000 years ago in Bethlehem. It is interesting to note that the Messiah, Jesus Christ, started in a cradle, a manger, He carried His cross to where they would crucify Him, but death could not keep Him, He arose from the dead 3 days later. As He left this world to go back to Heaven, He promised that He would come again to earth, this time wearing a crown.

This God-man, Emmanuel - God with us - came by way of the cradle to the cross and soon He will come wearing a crown; Jesus Christ, the Messiah, who has and will fulfill Bible prophecy.

President Obama signs a landmark law allowing homosexuals to serve openly in the United States military

Listen to Today's Program Play

President Obama signed a landmark law repealing the ban on homosexual men and women serving openly in the military fulfilling one of his major campaign pledges and casting the issue as a matter of civil rights. The president said no longer will tens of thousands of Americans in uniform be asked to live a lie or look over their shoulder in order to serve their country. President Obama told the crowd at the White House who were there to witness the law being signed that it was a good day, a very good day which many military leaders believe not to be the case with the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

With the signing of the law to allow homosexuals to serve openly in the United States military, President Obama has set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

President Obama called it a good day, a very good day when he signed the landmark law that repeals the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy of the United States military and now will allow homosexuals to serve openly in the military. There are a number of military leaders that believe that it's a bad day for the United States military and for America. One service commander said that this new law will cause great danger to the men and women now serving during a time of war in our military. Other experts on the issue say that retention and recruitment for the United States military will be harmed and in fact there may even be violence that results in the military over this issue.

If we set aside politics for a moment and look at the prophetic significance of the signing of this landmark law it becomes very clear that this has put in motion the events that will lead to the prophetic scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for the end of times. Jesus, while on the earth, told His followers that one way they could recognize the time of His return to the earth would be when the days would be like the days of Lot who lived in Sodom some 4000 years ago, Luke 17:28. Jesus also said that when Lot went out of Sodom He destroyed the city with fire and brimstone from heaven because of sodomy in that society, Luke 17:29.

Sodomites, referred to as homosexuals, being allowed to serve in the United States military by law of the land is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem, has identified two-thirds of the Jews that were murdered in the Holocaust

Listen to Today's Program Play

The Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem, Yad Vashem, has over the last decade found additional identities for Jews killed during the Holocaust in Word War II and now has identified two-thirds of the Jews murdered in the Holocaust in their relentless efforts to restore the names of as many of the six million Jews that were murdered by the Nazis under the command of Adolph Hitler.

Yad Vashem stands as a testimony to the reality and the historicity of the Holocaust and six million Jews that were murdered, which is in the face of Holocaust deniers like the President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas and the Iranian President, President Ahmadinejad.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Holocaust museum in Jerusalem, Yad Vashem, is solid evidence of an historic event and it is also a reminder of a future Holocaust yet to come for the Jewish people.

When Adolph Hitler came to power in Germany in the 1930's, he moved quickly to try to eliminate all the Jewish people, not only in Germany, but throughout all of Europe. For decades, the Holocaust museum in Jerusalem has relentlessly worked to restore the names and identities of all six million Jewish people murdered by the Nazi's.

Though Holocaust denyers like the President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas, and the Iranian Prime Minister Ahmadinejad, have spewed out venomous, poisonous rhetoric saying that the Holocaust is a hoax, Yad Vashem has documented the reality of the Holocaust. This documentation has certified the past, as it pertains to killing Jews, and it also is a reminder that the worst Holocaust is yet to come.

Revelation 4:2 through 19:10, is sixteen chapters in the Bible that describes the seven year Tribulation Period referred to by the Jews as the time of Jacob's trouble. That's Jeremiah 30:7. It is also prophesied by the ancient Jewish prophet Zechariah that two out of every three Jewish people on the earth today will be killed in the future Tribulation. That number would be about 8 1/2 million Jewish people killed. That reference is Zechariah 13:8.

The word Israel is used 26 times in the Revelation passage mentioned before which is evidence that Israel will be under fire during that period of time and they will flee for their lives to no avail.

Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The IDF chief of staff says the Bible is the guidebook for the military forces of Israel

Listen to Today's Program Play

The Israeli Defense Force Chief of Staff, General Gabi Ashkenazi, told the participants in the International Bible Quiz for Youth held in Jerusalem that the Israeli Defense Force sees the Bible as a guide in the deep and practical sense of the word.

General Ashkenazi said that it is no accident that the Israeli Defense Force swears in soldiers with a weapon in one hand and the Bible in the other, a custom that reflects the uniqueness of the Israeli Defense Force and the deep bond of the Jewish people to the Book of Books.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A closer study of the Bible will give understanding of why the Israeli Defense Force chief of staff says that God's Word is the guidebook for Israel's military today and I would add for the future as well according to Bible prophecy.

Since the beginning of the Israeli Defense Force, with the founding of the modern-day state of Israel, every new soldier that was sworn in to defend the Jewish state was sworn in with a weapon in one hand and the Bible in the other. This practice is evidence to the world that the connection of the Jewish people with the Bible and all that it records about God's plan for the Jewish people is absolute.

As students of the Bible these military leaders in Israel, not only use God's Word for instruction in military strategy, but they want the new recruits to look to the Bible for their military career as well. There are a number of actual military activities recorded in the Bible that give input for Israel's military strategy. One in particular is the record of Gideon's plan of operation to defeat Israel's enemy (Judges 7). There are many stories of modern-day Israeli wars where only God could have given victory to the Jewish warriors which is based upon the name for the Jewish state Israel, which means "God will fight for you".

Indeed this is the case for the future as well when Israel comes under attack from the coalition of nations mentioned in Ezekiel 38 and records that the Lord will fight for the Jewish state by raining hailstone, fire, and brimstone from heaven upon Israel's attacking enemies and destroy them (Ezekiel 38:18 - Ezekiel 39:6).

The prophecies of Israel's military guidebook, the Bible, will indeed be fulfilled.

A senior research fellow at the Hudson Institute says that Jewish ties to the Temple Mount will bring peace to the Middle East

Listen to Today's Program Play

Dr. Max Singer a senior research fellow at the Begin Sadat Center for Strategic Studies says the only chance for real peace in the Middle East is if the western nations convince the Arabs that Jewish ties to the Temple Mount will bring about peace in the region.

Singer believes that the continual denial by the PA leadership of the Jewish people's ancient connection to the land of Israel and the sacred significance to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount where once stood two Jewish temples will hinder any peace efforts to the two peoples to coexist in the Middle East and thus only enhance the continuing conflict.

In spite of the fact that the PA Mufti Sheikh Sabri, the high ranking Islamic cleric, claims there has never been a Jewish presence on the Temple Mount, Jewish scholars cite many historic and Biblical sources to confirm that Jews have a 3000 year old connection to the Temple Mount and Jerusalem.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by the senior Jewish research fellow that Jewish ties to the Temple Mount will bring peace to the Middle East is right on target according to Bible prophecy.

Dr. Max Singer, the founder and senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, believes that if Jewish ties are restored to the Temple Mount and Jerusalem, there will be peace in the Middle East. Bible prophecy reveals that Dr. Singer is correct in the final outcome in the end of time scenario written by ancient Jewish prophets 2500 years ago. The prophet Samuel wrote in II Samuel 7 that one of King David's descendants would rule the world from a Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, that descendant will be Jesus Christ, the Jewish Messiah. Isaiah wrote that when the Temple, the house of the Lord, will be established in Jerusalem, nations would turn their military weapons into farming equipment and they would learn of war no more, thus peace in the world, Isaiah 2:1-4.

As the quest for peace in the Middle East continues, all must agree with the Bible, Jewish ties to the Temple Mount will indeed bring about peace.

Jerusalem is declared the eternal capital of Israel by the prime minister and confirmed by the Israel Knesset

Listen to Today's Program Play
The headline for this report is correct - howbeit, it is a headline from Israel dating back over 60 years to the time when on December 13, 1949, David Ben-Gurion, Israel's first prime minister, declared to the members of the Israeli government meeting in Tel Aviv, that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the Jewish state of Israel and the Israeli legislative body, the Knesset, approved the declaration. The Israeli government action followed the United Nations declaration that Jerusalem must be internationalized to which David Ben-Gurion responded that Jerusalem is an intrical part of Israel, its eternal capital, and no United Nations resolution can change such an historic fact.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Though the world doesn't recognize the historic prophetic fact that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the Jewish state of Israel as so declared by Israel's first prime minister, David Ben-Gurion, the Bible confirms this fact and says it is absolute.

In December of 1949 the then prime minister of Israel, David Ben-Gurion, made the unilateral declaration that Jerusalem was the eternal capital of the Jewish state of Israel and that no United Nations resolution could change that fact. Ben-Gurion added that Jerusalem was made the capital of the Jewish people some 3000 years ago, a declaration made by the second king of Israel, King David. The counter-declaration by Ben-Gurion that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Israel, was a political declaration that is in perfect harmony with many passages in the Bible.

In the Davidic Covenant found in II Samuel 7, the Lord promised the Jewish people that He will give them a place to dwell and that they will move no more (II Samuel 7:10). The Davidic Covenant also confirms that the Jewish Messiah will rule a kingdom from a temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and do that forever. In fact, God has committed to dwelling among the Jewish people in Jerusalem forever (Psalm 132:13-14). Even on the new earth called for in Isaiah 65 and 66 and in Revelation 21, the earthly city of Jerusalem will be the center of all spiritual activities (Micah 4:1-3, Isaiah 2).

David Ben-Gurion's declaration over 60 years ago that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the Jewish state of Israel is absolute. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Hamas, the Islamic terrorist group, celebrated its 23rd anniversary as thousands gathered in the Gaza Strip

Listen to Today's Program Play

Marking the 23rd anniversary of Hamas, a Palestinian organization that has been defined by the United States and Israel as an Islamic terrorist group, Hamas drew thousands of supporters to the Gaza Strip to celebrate the anniversary of their group founded by the blind Moslem cleric Sheik Yasin who came out of the Islamic Brotherhood, the father of many Moslem terror organizations. Hamas leader Ismael Haniyeh called for Hamas to reconcile with the Palestinian faction Fatah, in order for the Palestinian people to fight the occupation of Palestine by the Jewish state of Israel and to use any and all methods to win this battle even with an armed struggle if necessary.

Recently, Hamas vowed to step up attacks against Israel after the Palestinian Authority entered an round of negotiations with the Jewish state and said that there will be no concessions over any part of the land of Palestine.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Islamic terror group Hamas says that they will never recognize the Jewish state of Israel which sets the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

As Hamas, the Islamic terror group located in the Gaza Strip, celebrated the 23rd anniversary of the founding of the organization, their leader, Ismael Haniyeh, declared that Hamas will never recognize the Jewish state of Israel. This declaration is in contradiction to another faction of the Palestinian people, Fatah, and the leadership of the Palestinian Authority who want to negotiate with Israel for the existence of a Palestinian state alongside the Jewish state. This contradiction between the two Palestinian factions is an example of how fractured the body politic of the Palestinian people is today.

Though reconciliation between the Palestinian groups doesn't seem to be near, the Bible does reveal that the Palestinian people will unite with a focus on their common enemy, the Jewish state. The prophet Malachi wrote that the Edomites, the Palestinian people of today, will unite and rebuild and God said He will call their borders, "the borders of wickedness" (Malachi 1). Ezekiel, the ancient Jewish prophet, wrote that the united Palestinian people will rise up to kill the Jews and to take the land that God has given the Jewish people (Ezekiel 35:5,10). Obadiah foretold of the time when the Jews will actually destroy the Palestinians - that's when the Messiah comes back to earth (Obadiah 15-18). Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The president of the EU says religion must play a role in the operation of the European political structure

Listen to Today's Program Play

Herman Van Rompuy who is president of the European Council, made up of 27 member states of the European Union (EU), says that the EU must be a union of values and that it needs spiritual and religious input into the daily operation of this major political structure as called for by the Lisbon Treaty, the constitution for the EU. Article 17 of the Lisbon Treaty calls for continuing consultations between the leaders of the EU and all religious organizations which is something that the Vatican in Rome has been trying to achieve for decades.

Even before the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty consultations were taking place and recently more than two dozen Christian, Jewish, and Moslem leaders met with the presidents of the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the leadership of the 27 member states that is called the European Council.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A clause in the Lisbon Treaty that calls for religions influence on the direction of the EU is a page out of Bible prophecy for the last days.

With the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty the 27 member states of the EU were able to elect a president that could lead this major political structure into the future. A clause in the treaty, Article 17, actually calls for religion to have a role in the direction that the EU and its leadership will take in our world today. EU leaders have met with and will continue to meet with religions leaders for their input in the operation of the EU and its role in global governance.

This report is, as I stated, a page out of Bible prophecy for the last days. The prophets Daniel and John both wrote of the revival of the Old Roman Empire and its role in the last days. Daniel revealed in Daniel 7:7 that the ten horns represent the Revived Roman Empire and John in Revelation 17:12 also speaking of the ten horns said they will come to power in the last days. A closer study of the ten horns indicates that the EU is at least the infrastructure for the Revived Roman Empire. Revelation 17 details the fact that religion, the false church, that religion is a major player in the Revived Roman Empire during the seven year Tribulation period.

A clause in the Lisbon Treaty calling for a religious influence in the operation of the EU is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

There are reports that the Dead Sea could dry up in the next several years - but there may be a solution

Listen to Today's Program Play

For a number of years, the Dead Sea, located in the Jordan Valley with the Eastern shore in Jordan and the Western shore in Israel, the Dead Sea has been losing its water and now it's sinking by about three feet per year which is causing fears both in Jordan and Israel that the Dead Sea could literally dry up by the year 2050.

One of the main ideas being considered by Jordan and Israel is the Red Dead Conveyance Project, a project that would involve digging a canal and using a series of water pipeline conduits that could bring water from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea in order to bring the Dead Sea water level back to normal.

The project would take over 20 years to complete and would cost as much as 15 billion dollars at today's values, but when completed, the project would bring about a new source of electric energy for the region, create new recreational areas to draw tourists to the area, and save one of the wonders of the world, the Dead Sea, which is located at the lowest spot on the earth.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Red Dead Project could save the Dead Sea, but it also may be a project that will set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

For a number of years, Middle East politicos, governmental leaders, and engineers have been talking about the Red Dead Project and how it could be the answer to the ever increasing problem at the Dead Sea and its loss of water. In search of a solution for this problem, Israeli President Shimon Peres presented the Red Dead Project to a regional gathering of political leaders, governmental officials and bankers.

This momentous project would take years and cost billions of dollars, but would also ultimately pay for itself in the long run. There are those who say this type of project could produce great wealth like the silver and gold that could be extracted from the Dead Sea, enough money to pay the national debts of almost every nation in the world.

In the book of Ezekiel 38:13, the prophet mentions the gold and silver that will attract Israel's enemies to come to destroy the Jewish state. Later in Ezekiel 47, he mentions how water from the Temple in Jerusalem will actually flow down to the Dead Sea and make it a freshwater lake, not 10 times saltier than the ocean as it is today.

A focus on the Dead Sea is indeed a prop on the stage for the end times scenario that will be fulfilled.

Tourism in Israel is at an all time record high as millions travel to this unique Middle Eastern nation

Listen to Today's Program Play

Tourism to Israel broke yet another all time record high in the month of November 2010 with over 300,000 visitors entering the country, more than any previous month in modern history - and in fact, and 20% increase in tourism over the year 2008, Israel's previous record year for tourism. According to the tourism ministry in Israel, they estimate this record breaking year of 2010 will finish with almost 3 1/2 million tourists coming to Israel with nearly 70% of these tourists being Christian pilgrims from around the world traveling to the land of the Bible.

The Israeli Ministry of Tourism says that the satisfied tourists will return home as an ambassador for Israel which improves Israel's image overseas, presenting the Jewish state as an attractive, sought after tourism destination.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

As millions of Jewish and Christian pilgrims travel to Israel it becomes very clear that Bible prophecy has been fulfilled and will be fulfilled in the future.

The year 2010 is a record breaking year for Israel's tourism industry with around 3 1/2 million Jews and Christian pilgrims visiting the Jewish state. Jews and Christians alike are eager to walk through the land of their forefathers and the personalities that they have been reading about in the Bible. These millions of tourists traveling to Israel are evidence of the fulfillment of Bible prophecy and Bible prophecy yet to be fulfilled.

The ancient Jewish prophets wrote thousands of years ago that the Jewish state would once again be a part of the nations of this world (Micah 4:6-7, Ezekiel 37:8, and many other passages of prophecy). These prophecies have been fulfilled and are a testimony to God's plan for the future of the Jewish state of Israel coming to pass as well.

Bible prophecy reveals that Israel will be the location where the Messiah, Jesus Christ, will rule and reign over a worldwide kingdom, and kingdom of peace in our world today (Zechariah 14, Ezekiel 40-46, and Psalm 132:13-14).

Almost half of the population of Israel wants to see the holy temple rebuilt in Jerusalem

Listen to Today's Program Play

In a recent nationwide poll taken by the Knesset Israel's legislative body, 49% of the body politic of Israel said they want to see the holy temple rebuilt on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem where there once stood two previous Jewish temples. The last one, Herod's temple, was destroyed in 70AD by the Roman soldiers led by General Titus.

The Israeli public is about evenly split on whether they believe the temple will be rebuilt with a slight edge 42% - 39% to those who believe that the third temple will be rebuilt. Given the current political climate, the onset of construction of the temple is not likely to go over quietly in the Islamic world which currently has day to day control of the Temple Mount.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The almost 50% of Israelis who want to see the holy Jewish temple rebuilt in Jerusalem are in perfect harmony with what the Bible reveals will happen in the last days.

In a recent national poll carried out in Israel, 49% of the Israelis said that they want to see the rebuilding of the third temple in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount. The Temple Mount has been the location of two previous temples, the one built by King Solomon some 3000 years ago and the one built by Zerubbabel 2500 years ago. The second temple, known as Herod's Temple, because it took Herod 46 years to refurbish Zerubbabel's temple, was referred to by the rabbis as the temple that if you had never seen it, you had never seen a beautiful building.

Since 70AD, when Herod's Temple was destroyed, there have been countless efforts to rebuild it on the Temple Mount. The ancient Jewish prophet Daniel said that there will be a third temple in Jerusalem during the seven year Tribulation period (Daniel 9:27). Jesus confirmed Daniel's prophecy in his Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24:15) when He said, when you see the abomination of desolation in the temple, flee Jerusalem. That abomination will be the Antichrist entering the temple and claiming to be God (II Thessalonians 2:4). Revelation 11:1 guarantees that there will be a temple in Jerusalem. John the Revelator was told to measure the location for the next Jewish temple.

50% of Israelis are right - there will be a temple in Jerusalem and maybe very soon now. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Google, the great information highway, is saying you can trust them with all of your personal information

Listen to Today's Program Play

The internet information highway platform known as Google which sometimes seems like a technological octopus with its tentacles reaching out in every direction, is simply the concept that is trying to organize the world's information on any device and in any way they can figure out how to do it.

The strategy of the leaders of Google is based upon the talk for years of our society being mobile which is right now finally taking off and Google wants to see if their strategy of compiling the information of the world and making it available to the world will actually work.

Google recognizes the privacy issues involved in such an operation but they believe the users of these services will determine whether Google is infringing on this privacy. Google says, "Trust us with your data".

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The plea for the world to trust Google, the platform that will control all the information of the world, is a precursor to an end of days scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

The leadership of Google wants society to trust them with all of their private data. Google believes that if they violate that trust, people will move immediately to someone else. Thus, Google says they have a very high interest in maintaining the trust of those users of their information gathering operation.

You may question, "How does this scenario fit into Bible prophecy that will be played out in the last days". Well that's a great question and I believe the answer is found in the plan of the Antichrist to control the world from a one world, economic, governmental, and political power base that will be located in the literal city of Babylon, Revelation 18. Revelation 13:16-17 reveals that in the last days, everybody left on the earth after the Rapture, when Jesus Christ calls Christians into the heavenlies, that during this time to follow, during the Tribulation Period, all who want to buy or sell will have to have an identification mark on the forehead or the back of the hand.

As world leaders meet to bring an end to the global economic crisis of today, they are calling for just such a global economic structure.

Trust me! The world is ready for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Thousands of Jews gather at the Temple Mount to declare this sacred piece of real estate belongs to the Jewish people

Listen to Today's Program Play

Thousands of Jews gathered recently at the gates to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem to declare their allegiance to this holy site and to declare the city of Jerusalem is the united, undivided, eternal capital of the Jewish people.

Speakers at the rally march said that discrimination has severely restricted the ability of Jews to ascend to the Temple Mount while at the same time Moslem rules forbid Jews from praying on this site which is Judaism's most holy site.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Thousands of Jews marching around the Temple Mount to say that this sacred piece of real estate is Jewish is an event that speaks to the past and to the future that is according to Bible prophecy.

The Temple Mount in Jerusalem, the location of the gold domed building, the Dome of the Rock that is seen on the Jerusalem skyline, is the same as the spot that Abraham took his son Isaac to offer as a sacrifice. This place is Mount Moriah where King Solomon built the first Jewish Temple 3000 years ago, II Chronicles 3:1. The Temple Mount, as it is known today, is also where the Jews returning from the Babylonian captivity rebuilt the Temple, Ezra 1-6.

Today, the Temple Mount is a place of controversy as the ancient Jewish prophet Zechariah said that it would be in the last days, Zechariah 12:2. The Islamic Trust controls the Temple Mount today and they refuse to allow the Jewish worshipers to pray there on the mount, and often they will not even allow the Jews to enter the Temple Mount compound.

By the way, that same Jewish prophet Zechariah also predicted that the Lord was jealous for Jerusalem, aggressively possessive for the city that He chose to dwell among His people forever and He is sore displeased about the heathen control of this sacred spot and He also said that one day He will come back to Jerusalem and to the Temple Mount there to build His Temple that will be on that spot forever, Zechariah 1:14-16 and this is Bible prophecy that will be fulfilled.

On an Israeli news site the headline read, new immigrants fulfill prophecy of the ingathering of the Jewish people

Listen to Today's Program Play

The headline on the Arutz 7 news website in Israel says that new immigrants recently arriving in Israel are part of the fulfillment of Bible prophecy that foretold the in-gathering of the Jewish people to the land of their forefathers in the days before the coming of the Messiah. Among the most recent new Israeli citizens were a group from the United States, actually 21 different states, and the group included a 5 month old baby and a 95 year old grandmother, all citizens of the United States that have a Jewish background and wanted to spend the rest of their lives in the land that they say God has provided for the Jewish people.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Jews returning to the land of Israel today to become citizens of the land of their forefathers is a part of the process of the fulfillment of Bible prophecy for the last days.

Recently on a very popular Israeli news website, Arutz 7, the headline of one of the major stories was, new immigrants fulfill prophecy of the ingathering. It was a photo story showing hundreds of Jews from America that had decided to come home to the land of their forefathers, the land of Israel. Many of them carried signs telling of their love for Israel and a number of these new Israeli citizens even got off of the airplane and kissed the ground of the Jewish state. The web news site wanted to feature the story of Jews coming home to Israel because they believe it is a part of Bible prophecy being fulfilled and they are correct.

Over the last 100 years, out of 100 nations of the world, Jews have been making their way into the Jewish state of Israel even before it became a state. The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel wrote 2500 years ago that the Lord, in the last days, will bring the Jews from wherever they are in the world into the land that He had promised them. That prophecy is found in Ezekiel 34 where 18 times the Lord says that He will find the Jews where they had been scattered some 2000 years ago and bring them into the land of their forefathers. Ezekiel 37:8 foretells of the Jewish state being revived and Ezekiel 36 tells the Jews of the land that God will give them in the last days.

The arrival of Jews in Israel to immigrate, to come home, is, as the Israeli website reported, the proof that Bible prophecy is being fulfilled.

The Palestinian government says that Jewish people have no right to pray at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, where they now go to pray 3 times every day

Listen to Today's Program Play

There is a document on the official mouthpiece for the Palestinian Authority, a website that claims the Jewish people have no right to go to the Western Wall in Jerusalem and pray, which they do three times daily, because the report says the Western Wall belongs to Moslems and the Jews have no connection with the Western Wall.

This study by the Palestinian Authority has been denounced by Israel and the United States because it says the Western Wall has always belonged to the Moslems and the Jews have been allowed to pray there because of Moslem tolerance.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The claim by the Palestinian Authority that Jewish people have no right to pray at the Western Wall in Jerusalem is a contradiction to historic fact and the prophetic scenario that focuses on the Temple Mount for the end times.

The report published by an official of the Palestinian Authority stating that Jews have no connection to the Western Wall in Jerusalem since there is no stone in the Western Wall that dates back to the time of King Solomon is partially correct and partially wrong. The correct part is that indeed there are no stones in the Western Wall dating back to King Solomon some 3000 years ago - the reason being that the Western Wall was only built some 2000 years ago by Herod the Great. The incorrect statement is that there is no historic Jewish connection to the Western Wall.

Herod used over 10,000 Jewish laborers to build that wall and it was the western retaining wall used to keep the Temple Mount in tact. King Solomon did build the first temple on the Temple Mount and Herod the Great spent 46 years refurbishing the second temple on that same spot - both of these were Jewish temples. That disproves the Palestinian Authority claim of no Jewish connection to the Western Wall.

In fact, the Bible states that one day the Messiah, Jesus Christ, will come back to earth and build a temple for the Jewish people on the Temple Mount (Zechariah 1:16,6:12). However, before Messiah builds His temple in Jerusalem, there will be a Jewish temple erected on the Temple Mount (Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4, and Revelation 11:1).

Palestinian claims are wrong. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

As Jews in Israel and around the world celebrate the Jewish holy days of Hanukkah, they are preparing to have history repeated

Listen to Today's Program Play

The Jewish celebration of Hanukkah, the Feast of Dedication, is an eight day Jewish holy day period that marks the rededication of the temple in Jerusalem in 165BC after three years of desecration of the temple at the hands of the Grecian leader Antiochus Epiphanes, who slaughtered an unkosher animal, a pig, on the alter of the Jewish temple in Jerusalem. It was the miracle of the temple menorah, the seven branched candelabra burning for eight days on enough virgin olive oil for one day that is what the Jewish people are celebrating during the eight days of Hanukkah.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Jewish celebration of Hanukkah is a reminder of fulfilled prophecy as well as a prophetic scenario yet to be fulfilled.

As Jewish people worldwide celebrate the eight day feast of Hanukkah, the Feast of Dedication, they do so to remember the desecration of the Jewish temple by the Grecian mad man Antiochus Epiphanes in 168BC and then the reconsecration of that same temple three years later in 165BC. As these Jews light their candles, one for each of the eight days, they recall the abomination of desolation which the prophet Daniel foretold in his prophecy found in Daniel 11:20-35 and this was a prophecy given 360 years before the actual event.

This prophecy in Daniel has a double fulfillment in that there will be another time when the Jewish temple will be desecrated, another abomination of desolation as spoken of by Jesus Christ when he referred to in Daniel's prophecy in His Olivet Discourse found in Matthew 24:15. In order for the prophecies of Jesus Christ and the ancient Jewish prophet Daniel to be fulfilled there must be a temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. All preparations have been made for the next temple to be built in Jerusalem. There are Jewish men who have been in a training program to serve as the priests of the temple. The implements for the operation of the temple are made waiting in storage to be used in the next temple. The Sanhedrin, 70 wise Jewish scholars, are in place now so that they can manage the operation of the temple. Even the priestly garments are actually hanging in the closets of many of the priests ready to be warn in their service in the temple.

The Jewish holy day of Hanukkah means that we look back to the past but also to the future. It indicates that indeed Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Jewish people in Jerusalem and around the world are celebrating the rededication of the Jewish Temple

Listen to Today's Program Play

The eight day Jewish holy day Hanakkuh is the time that Jews around the world mark the rededication of the second temple in Jerusalem after the Greek leader Antiochus Epiphanes had desecrated the temple by slaughtering a pig on the temple alter. Over a three year period of time, the Jews grew strong enough to overthrow the Greek leader and the Maccabees ran Antiochus out of Israel and cleansed the temple and restored temple worship and practices.

In fact, the flask of virgin olive oil they used to relight the seven branched candelabra, the Menorah, stayed lighted for eight days - thus the Jewish holy days of Hanakkuh.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Jewish holy days of Hanakkuh remind us of an event that will be repeated in the future - according to Bible prophecy.

Jewish people around the world for the eight days of Hanakkuh will light a candle each day to mark the overthrow of Antiochus Epiphanes and the reconsecrating of the Jewish temple in Jerusalem over two thousand years ago.

The Maccabees rose up against the Greek leader Antiochus and after three years were able to return to temple worship and practice on Kislov 25, the Jewish month of December. Interestingly, the early church fathers selected December 25 to celebrate Christmas based upon the fact of the feast of dedication taking place on December 25, 165 B.C.

Antiochus Epiphanes had slaughtered a pig on the temple alter and stopped Jewish worship in what was referred to as the Abomination of Desolation. This event in history is a prototype of things to come, according to God's Word found in the prophetic book of Daniel. In fact, Daniel, the ancient Jewish prophet, 360 years before the fact foretold the act by Antiochus (Daniel 11:21-35). Daniel also prewrote history about the Abomination of Desolation that will take place at the midway point of the Tribulation Period in the future (Daniel 9:27).

There will be a temple in Jerusalem desecrated once again, a temple that the Jewish people are right now prepared to build. History will be repeated - Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Thousands of Protestants are considering the Pope's offer to become Catholics

Listen to Today's Program Play

Church goers in a number of Anglican churches of England and around the world may take advantage of Pope Benedict's offer to change denominations if their bishops lead the way in protest of the Anglican church decision to use women priests in the churches.

With thousands of these church goers ready to crossover to Rome, the Anglican church, the Church of England, is expected to make a last ditch attempt to stop this from happening by offering concessions over the introduction of female bishops.

The church bishops who are leading this rebellion against Anglican leadership recently held secret meetings with papal advisers to discuss plans for Anglicans converting to the Roman Catholic Church in mass.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The possible conversion to the Roman Catholic Church by thousands of Protestants is a precursor to the end time scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

Because of the leadership of the Anglican church in England and their decision to install female bishops, there are now thousands of churchgoers that will follow their bishops and convert to Roman Catholicism if that decision is made. In a papal decision handed down by Pope Benedict, the Roman Catholic Church says it will accept these Anglicans if they decide to convert. The Episcopal church in America and Africa have also held discussions on following the Anglican bishops if the trend continues to install women as priests and bishops and also include homosexuals in church leadership.

This report is evidence of an end time scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy which will be played out seemingly in the near future. In Revelation 17, you can find revealed a one-word church that will be in place in the first half of the seven year Tribulation Period. This false church, according to Revelation 17:5, dates back to the Mother-son Cult founded in Babylon 4500 years ago. Verse nine of Revelation 17 says that the false church will be headquartered in a seven-hilled city, the city of Rome, Italy.

Please notice that I did not say the false church is the Roman Catholic Church. What I am saying, based upon scripture, is that the false church of Revelation 17 will be headquartered in Rome and up and operating in the first half of the Tribulation Period. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The Israeli Prime Minister says because of wikileaks, the world now knows what Arabs say about Iran

Listen to Today's Program Play

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu says that wikileaks exposures are a dangerous precedent but they have revealed to the world the private fears of Arabs as it relates to Iran's nuclear threat to not only the world but in particular the Middle East. Netanyahu, at a press conference on this issue, said that Israel was not damaged by the leaks and he said the question now is whether Arab leaders will admit in public what was said through private diplomatic channels about the Iranian nuclear threat to the Arab world.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Though wikileaks has caused great damage to United States intelligence and has put many world leaders in harm's way, Israel sees a positive out of this event that is evidence of the end times scenario for the Middle East that can be found in Bible prophecy.

Referring to French President Sarkozy as the Emperor Without Clothes, and Iranian President Ahmadinejad as Hitler may be embarrassing to the United States but it is not as dangerous as some of the other information revealed through the release of hundreds of thousands of pages of top secret information that was leaked recently. There is a great possibility that these leaks may cause physical harm - even death to some of the parties that are mentioned in these private documents.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu was quick to say that in no way was Israel harmed by the released documents. In fact the Israeli Prime Minister said that these leaks have revealed conversations and communiques that are evidence the Arab world leaders fear a nuclear powered Iran. Netanyahu said that the leaks reveal the real threat in the Middle East and it is Iran as they develop their nuclear weapon of mass destruction.

Let me just say you did not need to read any of these released documents to know that Iran was and will be a major threat in the Middle East. If you had read the prophetic book of Ezekiel in the Old Testament chapter 38:5, you would have read of Persia as a part of a coalition of nations that will form in the last days to destroy the Jewish state of Israel. By the way, Persia of Biblical times is modern-day Iran. In fact, what is interesting to me, these Arab states that fear a nuclear armed Iran will join with Iran in that alignment of nations to attack Israel (Ezekiel 38, Daniel 11, and Psalm 83).

Wikileaks or not Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

After decades of decline, the total number of Jews in the world has increased

Listen to Today's Program Play

According to the Berman Institute and the Jewish Data Bank, there had been a steady decline for several decades in the worlds Jewish population but the trend has been reversed and an increase has been recorded recently even though it is very so slight in numbers. The number of Jews outside Israel continued its decline but their number increased inside Israel bringing the total Jewish population in Israel to around 5.7 million, the largest number of Jews in any one location anyplace on earth. Out of a world population numbering around 6.9 billion people there are only about 13 and a half million Jews in our world today which is slightly less that .2% of the world's total population

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

With less than .2% of the world's total population being Jewish, the world's focus is on these unique people who will be the major players in the end of times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

Out of a world population that numbers 6.9 billion people, the Jewish people and their very small nation in the Middle East has attracted the attention of the world. It seems that daily some world leader is talking about the Jewish state of Israel and what is happening there as it relates to the existence of this young nation among the nations of the world. The Jewish people came into existence 4000 years ago when Abraham became the Father of the Jews and passed that heritage along to his son and grandson Isaac and Jacob. Though there have been countless attempts to destroy the Jewish people down through the centuries God has protected a people that He calls His chosen people, that is according to Deuteronomy 7:6-8. In fact, God divided humankind on this earth and he set the bounds for them based upon the Jewish people in this world - that's recorded in Deuteronomy 32:8.

Every student of Bible prophecy is aware that God's plan for the end times will happen in order to fulfill the Lord's promises to the Jewish people. Those promises found in the Abrahamic Covenant, (Genesis 15) the Land Covenant, (Deuteronomy 30) the Davidic Covenant, (II Samuel 7) and the New Covenant (Jeremiah 31).

Though the Jewish people are small in numbers in our world today, they will be the major players for the last days. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

An Israeli military leader says an American trained and equipped Palestinian military could attack Israel

Listen to Today's Program Play

General Avi Mizrahi, the Israeli leader in the area of Judea and Samaria in Israel, says that Israeli soldiers face the potential challenge of being confronted by a Palestinian military force trained and equipped by the US and this force is capable of causing real damage to Israel.

This Palestinian military force was trained in Jordan by US General Keith Dayton and the Israeli military is preparing for a potential confrontation. US General Dayton has expressed belief that this Palestinian army would likely attack the Jewish state in the event that Israel does not give in to the demands of the world leaders for a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The report of the Israeli military preparing for a confrontation with an American trained and equipped Palestinian army is a precursor to the prophetic scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

The IDF is now training for the potential battle that may occur if the Israeli government rejects the demands of the US and EU to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. US General Keith Dayton, the military trainer for this Palestinian army, said if Israel does not surrender Judea and Samaria to the Palestinians within the next two years, this Palestinian military force could turn their guns on the Israelis. This scenario is, as I said, the lead up to what Bible prophecy says will unfold in the last days.

Malachi said that the Edomites, the Palestinians of today, would rebuild and become a force in the Middle East, Malachi 1. Ezekiel wrote that when the Palestinians become a major force, they will kill the Jews, Ezekiel 35:5 and then take the land of the Jewish people, Ezekiel 35:10. Obadiah revealed in his prophecy that the Edomites, Palestinians of today, would become drunk with power and try to wipe out the Jews only to be defeated, Obadiah 15-18.

The Israeli military preparing for a conflict with a Palestinian army is indeed a precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Thanksgiving Day is evidence that the US government and the Bible can work in harmony

Listen to Today's Program Play

The United States of America stops today to give thanks for all the blessings and freedoms that we have and this day is a special day set aside by the US government to do exactly what the Bible calls for us all to do, give thanks in all things.

Families will gather for the traditional Thanksgiving dinner of turkey and dressing, the young men and even some of us old guys will break out in the annual game of touch football and the ladies, well they'll be there to cheer us on, and in fact heal up any of the bruises sustained in the afternoon free-for-all. Those of us with loved ones on a far away battlefield will thank God for their protection and ask God for their safe return to the family circle for next Thanksgiving: and all of this on a day of thanksgiving required by the Bible and set aside by decree of our own government.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Today is a day set aside for all of us to be thankful, but as we move closer to the time of the return of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, our world will become more and more unthankful, that is according to Bible prophecy. The principle of thanksgiving: there are over 100 locations in the Bible where the scriptures speak of thanks and thanksgiving. We are told to give thanks in all things for it is the will of God in Christ Jesus, I Thessalonians 5:18.

The product of thanksgiving: interestingly when we stop to give thanks, the end result is to our own personal benefit. Paul, an apostle, in a letter that he wrote to the Philippians, states that giving thanks brings us true joy. Paul also wrote the people in Colosse that giving thanks helps us to abound in the faith, a faith that is needed for all of life Colossians 2:7.

The prophecy of unthankfulness: as we approach the time of the Second Coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, Paul reminded us that he wrote a letter to Timothy to tell him that people would be unthankful at that time, II Timothy 3:2.

Unthankfulness is one of the major signs of the last days and as those days approach we need to be looking up in anticipation of His coming, but also in thanksgiving as well. Remember on this day of thanksgiving, unthankfulness is an indicator, a trend, a sign of the judgment that is coming, that is according to Bible prophecy.

A world renowned scientist has warned mankind not to speak to aliens from outer space

Listen to Today's Program Play

World renowned scientist Stephen Hawking has warned humankind to avoid any contact with aliens from outer space which Hawking believes do exist among the 100 billion galaxies each containing hundreds of millions of stars in the universe. Hawking says alien life is almost certain to exist in many other parts of the universe not just in planets but perhaps in the center of stars or even floating in interplanetary space and may even exist in massive ships and be looking for resources on other planets.

Hawking says that to his mathematical brain the numbers alone make thinking about aliens perfectly rational and the real challenge is to work out what what aliens might actually be like.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by a world renowned scientist that aliens exist in outer space may sound like science fiction but there is an interesting link to Bible prophecy that will be played out in the last days.

The name "Stephen Hawking", a well known scientist in our world today is a name that is associated with many scientific discoveries and now he has come forward to say there are aliens in outer space. Hawking says that we should not seek them out but humanity should do everything to avoid them. I know that this sounds like a science fiction story but I am only reporting from a documentary from Hawking where he goes into further detail on the subject. Hawking warns that these aliens may invade the earth searching for more resources to sustain their existence and possibly to colonize the earth.

Bible prophecy does reveal in the book of Revelation the future event of creatures invading the earth from outer space (Revelation 9:1-13). These aliens, using the proper sense of the word, are referred to as locusts, but not any locusts that we have ever seen. They are evil angels that will attack humankind on the earth in the last days to kill one third of the earth's population (Revelation 9:13-20).

The report warning that we should not seek out aliens is an interesting precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

An Israeli researcher says an Israeli-Iranian war could last for years

Listen to Today's Program Play

Bar-Ilan University researcher, Dr. Moshe Vered, believes that if war breaks out between Iran and Israel it likely would last for years, not weeks and he says that Iran would also target Jews around the world including El Al airplanes, synagogues, and Israeli operations abroad.

The research paper by Dr. Vered points out that the Iranian Shiite Moslems believe that the very existence of Israel is an insult to Moslems and that there is an obligation by Moslems to sacrifice themselves for the sake of annihilating the Jewish state.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A research paper that gives a forecast for a long war between Iran and Israel is very sobering, but this paper may not have taken into consideration the prophetic scenario that can be found in the Bible for such a war.

Dr. Moshe Vered's research paper is very sobering especially in light of the radical rhetoric coming from the president of Iran about his desires to see Israel wiped off the face of the earth. The paper speaks of an extended war between Iran and Israel if Israel should make a preemptive strike on Iran to destroy the development of nuclear Weapons of Mass Destruction(WMD).

Threats by Iranian President Ahmadinejad suggest that his country would unleash an attack on every target in Israel with its long range missiles and with the possibility that these missiles would have nuclear warheads aboard. In addition, Iran would call for Syria, Hamas, Hezbollah and Turkey to join the fight to destroy Israel.

This scenario is found in Bible prophecy in Ezekiel 38 where verse 5 mentions Persia, which is modern day Iran, and also in Daniel 11:40-41, which includes Syria referred to as the King of the North. However, an extended war is not part of the prophetic scenario as revealed in these passages of Scripture. When you look at Ezekiel 38:18-39:6, you'll find that the prophet foretells of a total destruction of Israel's attacking enemies and this happens within weeks or months, not years.

The research paper aside, Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Many Americans expect Jesus to return to earth by 2050

Listen to Today's Program Play

In the latest Pew Research Center survey, 41% of the Americans polled believe that Jesus Christ will return to the earth in the next 40 years and 46% of those polled said that the Second Coming of Jesus Christ will probably or definitely not happen. The poll suggests that 58% of evangelicals believe that Jesus will return by 2050 and respondents with no college education were 3 times as likely as those with a college degree to expect the Second Coming of Jesus Christ in the next 40 years.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

According to the latest survey many Americans expect Jesus Christ to return to the earth within the next 40 years which is confirmed by Bible prophecy.

The latest Pew Research Center poll indicates a large number of Americans believe that Jesus Christ is coming back to earth and that it could happen within the next 40 years. If the numbers in the survey results are correct, that means millions of Americans do believe what Jesus had to say before He left the earth almost 2000 years ago - that was that He would return.

Though this survey is not a vote on whether Jesus will return or not, those who believe that He will are in alignment with what Bible prophecy says except that it may be sooner than 2050. In fact, the Second Coming of Jesus Christ could happen in just 7 years because the second coming scenario found in Bible prophecy reveals that a 7 year time of judgment will precede the Lord's return to earth. That 7 years, the Tribulation period, will be recognized by events foretold by the ancient Jewish prophets. For example, the Jews will return to their homeland, Middle Eastern nations will align themselves against Israel, while at the same time there will be an effort to bring about peace in the Middle East, and talk and preparations to build a temple in Jerusalem will also be very prevalent (Ezekiel 37 - 46).

The next event is the Rapture when Jesus Christ calls all Christians into heaven before worldwide judgment breaks out and that could happen today because Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Ahmadinejad: World's problems due to the rejection of Allah

Listen to Today's Program Play

The Iranian President Ahmadinejad, in a recent telecast seen throughout all of Europe, said that the world's problems are rooted in a rejection of Allah, the Islamic god, and if Jesus Christ lived today, He would stand up against any world powers that act as bullies. Ahmadinejad said that the crises in security, the family, morality, politics, security, and the world economy have come about because the prophets have been forgotten, Allah has been forgotten, and some world leaders are estranged from Allah.

Tehran has accused the world of trying to destabilize the Islamic Republic of Iran and to do all possible to stop Iran's nuclear ambitions of developing a nuclear weapon of mass destruction.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by Iranian President Ahmadinejad that the world's rejection of the Islamic god Allah, is the basis for all of the world's troubles, is not correct politically, or prophetically - according to Bible prophecy.

The very vocal president of Iran, President Ahmadinejad, has, over the last several years, denied that there was ever a Jewish Holocaust, that Israel must be wiped off the Earth, and that the Jewish state is near to a complete collapse. This radical rhetoric from the radical Muslim leader has now hit a higher pitch as he says that god, the Islamic god Allah, is very displeased with the world's rejection of the Islamic deity and thus there are many problems. However, the true God of the Bible and the people of the Bible, the Jews and the Christians, this one true God is indeed displeased with rejection of His plan for all of human kind.

Revelation 16 is evidence that even in a very troubled time, the Great Tribulation, and faced with intense judgment, men will not repent and turn to Jesus Christ (Revelation 16:8-11). It is not rejection of the Islamic god Allah but rejection of the true God of the Bible that brings judgment upon the world. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
