What does the re-election of Vladimir Putin as president of Russia mean to the Jewish State of Israel

Listen to Today's Program Play

JD: Winkie, in 1991 began the time of 1.3 million Russian-Jews coming to live in Israel. But why did all of these Jews want to leave Russia back in 1991?

WM: Russia until their time and a few years later was a communist secular repressive regime of any religion and Jews suffered severally. When I was growing up in the 1960s the big thing was demonstrating on behalf of sovietry not only for their rights inside Russia but to get them out to be repatriated to Israel the Jewish homeland.

Putin has visited Israel, he’s visited the Western Wall, and he’s remarked that the Temple Mount and the Temple belongs to the Jews. He’s a very clever strategic politician.

JD: So therefore, with more than 1.3 million Russian-Jews living in Israel with Russia with military bases, naval bases up there in Syria and in complete collaboration with Iran what would you say the election of Vladimir Putin looks like for the state of Israel today?

WM: Again, difficult I know that our Prime Minister Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu has met Putin several times in order to make sure that Iran does not allow itself to be based in Syria. As you and I know geo politics and military strategy can become very very complicated here. We know Israel had enemies in the north in the past speaking of the Bible. Syria, Babylon and others they simply change names sometimes Jimmy but if we look at the Bible we place our strength and hope in the divine in God and hope that the prophecies will as then guide us today.

JD: Winkie Medad with an analysis of how the re-election of Vladimir Putin will affect the Jewish state of Israel.

We report this information because it is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Winkie Medad was correct in his analysis of the future for the relations between the Jewish state of Israel and the re-elected Russian President Vladimir Putin. In essence as Winkie did we must go to the Bible to understand how this will all play out as it is foretold in the prophetic scenario found in Ezekiel 38.

The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel explained that Russia and its Middle East alignment as it explained in the passage would come together to form a coalition to try to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. With the re-election of Vladimir Putin it seems that the stage has been set for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
