Ramadan in Jerusalem and Palestinian elections upcoming could mean trouble for the Jewish State

Listen to Today's Program Play

JD: Ramadan is a special month of fasting for the Islamic people. The first prayer of Ramadan taking place this week and thousands of Muslims up on the Temple Mount. Should it be calm or should we expect something to come out that would possibly help the Islamic world try to defeat Israel in this month of Ramadan?

DD: Well Jimmy as you said the first Friday prayers of the month long celebration/commemoration of ancient Islamic history went off peacefully on the Temple Mount and in Jerusalem. During the week some police were injured, some Palestinians were injured. But on Friday itself that was the largest gathering on the Temple Mount again since the Coronavirus struck over a year ago 70,000 Muslims said. But they gave 10,000 permits to Palestinian Muslims who had been vaccinated. They had to prove that first. The rest were Israeli Arabs or residents of Jerusalem. But we're hoping it will continue to be peaceful but as you know Ramadan is usually a time of enhanced agitation and trouble.

JD: Palestinian elections are upcoming and I understand there's a number of actual terrorists who are running for political office in the Palestinian Authority. Can you update us on that?

DD: Well yes and that's typical of the Palestinian society. They name squares and schools and other things after these suicide attackers and other terrorists. Well as you said some that are alive have announced they're candidacy for Parliament. Those elections are scheduled to take place sometime in May. Yeah, they are apparently free to do so. There's no holds on them. They continue to want to see Israel's destruction and even elect some very radical people. Again the worry in Israel is with the Hamas movement will once again take a majority of Parliament seats and maybe then be able to take over Judea and Samaria at some point. That is Israel's worst nightmare.

JD: David Dolan explaining the problem that may arise for the Jewish state because of Ramadan and the upcoming Palestinian elections.

We report this information because it is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Dave's report drew attention to the month long fast in the Islamic world of Ramadan and how that Islamic holy month coupled with the Palestinian elections upcoming could cause trouble predicted in Bible prophecy. That would be the book of Ezekiel 35, Malachi 1, and the little book of Obadiah. These prophecies could be fulfilled very soon.
