Senior Iranian officials are recommending a preemptive strike against Israel to prevent an Israeli attack on Iran's nuclear reactors in light of the recent threats by Israeli authorities which have strengthened this position.
Israeli cabinet member Shaul Mofaz, the Transportation Minister and a former Defense Minister, said last June that Israel would be forced to strike the Iranian nuclear reactors if Tehran continues to pursue it's uranium enrichment program, which the Iranians have continued.
Tehran recently set in place a new policy for responding to an Israeli attack on Iran. This policy would be to attack Israel alone with a mighty response, but Iranian officials are now considering this preemptive strike against the Jewish state.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
A preemptive strike against Israel, by Iran, is a page right out of Bible prophecy for the end times.
For a number of years Iran has been the main threat to Israel and as Iran continues to develop a nuclear weapon of mass destruction, that threat has only intensified. The Israeli government and military leaders have been preparing to make a preemptive strike against Iran's nuclear program, in fear that if they do not move to stop Iran, the Islamic Republic could bring about another holocaust of even greater proportions.
Now Iranian officials are considering a preemptive strike of their own to stop an Israeli attack. The rhetoric on both sides is only evidence that things are heating up between Iran and Israel. However, Bible prophecy sheds light on what will happen at some time in history.
The prophet Ezekiel wrote some 2500 years ago that Iran, mentioned in Ezekiel 38:5, as Persia, would be a major player in the alignment of nations that will go up against Israel in the last days. Other nations mentioned in not only Ezekiel, but Daniel and the Psalms, include Lebanon, home of Hizbullah, and Syria, both military partners with Iran.
The possibility of an Iranian preemptive strike against Israel, and that attack in the near future, is evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
