French president Nicolas Sarkozy has seen a dream become a reality with the formation of the Mediterranean Union. The MU is a coalition of nations surrounding the Mediterranean Sea, including the Jewish state of Israel and many Arab and Islamic states. The project - under its official name Barcelona Process: Union for the Mediterranean - is under the present leadership of a member of the European Union, Sarkozy, and a representative from a Mediterranean nation, Egypt's president, Hosni Mubarak. The announcement of the Mediterranean Union came out of a summit in France that President Sarkozy had brought together, and included 43 nations, and included representatives from all 27 member-states of the EU.
Many world leaders are saying this new Union, which includes nations not presently member-states of the EU, will end up inducting them all into the EU. This would basically form the borders of the old Roman Empire of 2000 years ago.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
The formation of the Mediterranean Union made up of Arab and Islamic states along with Israel, has moved the European Union closer to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy for the Last Days.
After some very strong debates among the 27 member-states of the EU, the recent summit in Paris, France formed the Mediterranean Union. The future of the MU, as President Sarkozy envisions it, would expand the European Union to 44 member states and include all the boundries of the old Roman Empire.
This report reads like it was taken out of Daniel 7. The ancient Jewish prophet Daniel spoke of the Gentile world powers from his time into the future. He spoke of the Babylonian, Medo-Persian, Greek, and Roman Empires. In Daniel 7:7 & 24 it is revealed that there will be a Revived Roman Empire that will come to power in the Last Days. Daniel 7:8 speaks of the "Little Horn" - one of the 27 names for the Antichrist - who will come to power out of the Revived Roman Empire.
President Sarkozy's Mediterranean Union is one step closer to Daniel's prophecy being fulfilled in what seems to be the very near future.
