Russia's Head of National Security is in Israel to discuss the Iranian situation

Igor Ivanov, the head of Russia's National Security Council, is in Israel and the Russian leader will be speaking with Israeli leaders in discussions focused on Tehran and its nuclear program.

Diplomatic sources said that Ivanov visits Israel once or twice a year for an ongoing dialog between the Israeli and Russian national security councils with both Israeli and Russian officials disputing Iranian President Ahmadinejad's claim about the development of their nuclear program. Russian-Israeli relations have been strained as of late; however, Russian-Palestinian relations have become very strong in recent days.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The head of the Russian National Security Council in Israel to discuss the Iranian issue is that is a precursor to the scenario that is found in Bible prophecy.

With the recent pronouncement by Iran's President Ahmadinejad that Iran had entered the nuclear club, the announcement seemed to be saying that Iran is very close to having a Nuclear Weapon of Mass Destruction (NWMD). Russian leaders have disputed the Iranian claim, but at the same time have supplied Iran with all the technology and the technicians to accomplish the goal of a nuclear armed Iranian military. Israeli officials and Israeli intelligence agencies say that Iran is the number one enemy of the Jewish state. Many Israeli leaders believe that if the world will not step up and confront Iran over its nuclear program, the Israelis will take care of the issue. Even as I say this, I'm reminded that these two nations, Russia and Iran, both play a large role in Bible prophecy.

The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel wrote some 2,500 years ago that the Magog of Ezekiel 38:2, which is modern-day Russia, would lead a coalition of nations against Israel. Another player in this scenario would be Iran, the Persia of Ezekiel 38:5.

The stage is set, all the actors are in place, especially Russia and Iran. The curtain is about to go up for the final act in Bible prophecy.
