Rabbis in Northern Israel say the evacuation of Jews in the Gaza Strip caused the bloodbath with Hizbullah

"We told you so", was the message relayed by rabbis in the North of Israel as they provided moral and spiritual support to the victims of Hizbullah missile attacks, a message that echoed the warning that unilateral disengagement from Gaza would cause a bloodbath.

One rabbi did however mention the positive side, the outcome of these attacks which he said had caused the Israeli people to band together; and that though the Hizbullah attacks had caused tremendous damage and casualties, they have also revived Israel's national soul.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The "We told you so" message of the rabbis in Northern Israel has a unique connection to Bible prophecy for the Last Days as it relates to the present Israeli-Hizbullah conflict. A year ago this summer, the Israeli government evacuated almost 10,000 Israeli Jewish settlers from the Gaza Strip. At the time of Israel's disengagement from the Gaza, Jewish settlement leaders and the rabbis warned that this evacuation from the land that God had given the Jewish people would prove to be a disaster.

With a potential for another pullout of Jewish land in Judea and Samaria, even the former Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defense Force, General Moshe Yaalon, said that any such pullout from Jewish land showed weakness and invites disaster. What the general and the rabbis are saying does seem to echo what God's prophetic Word says will be the scenario played out in the Last Days.

Joel 2, Ezekiel 38, and Daniel 11 all speak of a coalition of nations that will come against Israel at a time when they show weakness. The fact that the Bible reveals Iran and Syria are major players in this attack on the Jewish state only highlights the truth of God's prophetic Word. Ezekiel 34:16-30 says that God will give the Jewish people the land of their forefathers in the Last Days and it's not to be given back to their enemies.

The rabbis' message of "I told you so", does indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
