According to Israeli political and military sources, the Israeli government is preparing for a war with a nuclear armed Iran and the terrorist sponsoring state of Syria, a challenge that is now top of the Israeli defense agenda, higher than the Palestinian threat.
The conflict with Hezbollah has led to a strategic rethink in Israel and a key conclusion is that too much attention has been paid to Palestinian militants in Gaza, Judea, and Samaria instead of the two biggest state sponsors of terrorism in the region. It is evident that Iran's growing confidence after the war in Lebanon means Israel must be prepared for a full-scale war in which Syria will be a key player.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
The perception that Hezbollah won the war against Israel has encouraged Iran and Syria to make war against the Jewish state, a scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for the Last Days.
As Israeli political and military leaders rethink the security situation after the Israeli-Hezbollah conflict ended with the perception that Hezbollah won the war, the Jewish state must now make ready for the sponsors of Hezbollah to attack them in a time they seem to be vulnerable. Public confidence shown by both President Ahmadinejad of Iran and President Bashur Assad of Syria after the supposed Hezbollah victory, is evidence that Israel must focus on the real threat in the Middle East to the Jewish state. Both Iran and Syria have ballistic missiles that can hit any part of Israel and both states have access to chemical and biological warheads with Iran very near to having a nuclear Weapon of Mass Destruction (WMD).
This developing scenario is a perfect match to the prophetic scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for the Last Days. The ancient Jewish prophets Daniel and Ezekiel and the Psalmist all wrote about the aggressive attacks by the two terrorist sponsoring states, Iran and Syria, at a time in history leading up to the return of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Daniel 11:40 mentions Syria, the king of the North, in alliance with Iran, known as Persia in Ezekiel 38:5, with the Psalmist mentioning both Syria, Assur in Psalm 83:8, and Iran, the Hagarenes, in verse 6 also of Psalm 83.
These prophetic passages contain prewritten history that is coming into focus and will be fulfilled.
