As Moslems around the world mark the month long Islamic holy days of Ramadan, the Vatican has called on Moslems to reject violence and work for peace by entering into a dialog to help all escape from the endless spiral of conflict and violence.

The Vatican's top official in charge of relations with Moslems, Cardinal Tehran, has pledged to back the moderate forces within Islam and to help defeat extremist groups that encourage terrorism. The relations between the Vatican and Moslems were badly strained last year when Pope Benedict linked Islam to violence, which angered the Moslem world.

In the aftermath of a speech given by Pope Benedict where he linked Islam to violence, the Moslem world responded with anger and a threat of violence. Now, the Vatican is calling for the so-called moderate forces in Islam to begin a dialog and to reject violence and work for peace.

This call comes from the Vatican during the month long celebration of Ramadan. Ramadan is the holiest month on the Islamic calendar and celebrates the giving of the Koran to Mohamed. The Koran is the Islamic holy book and it actually refutes refutes the Bible, the holy book for the Jews and Christians, in addition to that, it denounces the people of the Book, the Bible, as non-believers. Then, the Koran calls for non-believers to convert or die.

Bible prophecy sets the scenario for the End Times. It is a scenario calling for a religious leader from Rome to confront Islam in the Last Days, Revelation 17. Daniel 9:27 reveals that this religious leader will also call for violence to stop and peace to be put in its place.

The call from the Vatican for Moslems to reject violence and to work for peace is surely a precursor for the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Jews around the world observe the Feast of Tabernacles by living in thatched huts

The last of the seven Jewish feast days, the Feast of Tabernacles, is being observed by Jews in Jerusalem and around the world by building a "succa", a thatched hut, and then living in this succa for the entire week long Jewish holy days as they complete the annual cycle of Jewish holy days given to them by God some 3,500 years ago.

The succa, a thatched hut similar to the dwelling place of the Children of Israel during their 40-year long wandering in the wilderness on their trip to the promised land, will be erected near their homes and apartments so that the family may use this succa in celebration of this annual event. Thousands of Christians from around the world will join the Jews in Israel to celebrate the feast because of the Biblical directive for all, both Christians and Jews, to observe the Feast of Tabernacles on a yearly basis.

The celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles by Jewish people in Jerusalem and around the world has not only a historic significance but a prophetic significance as well according to Bible prophecy.

Since the end of the Jewish holy day of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, Jewish families in Israel and around the world have been erecting their succas, a thatched hut, to have it ready for the week long celebration of Succoth, the Feast of Tabernacles.

The succa was the transportable housing for the Children of Israel as they wandered in the wilderness during that forty year period traveling from Egypt to the promised land. Jewish families will eat their meals, visit with family and friends and some even sleep in their thatched huts, the succa, for the entire seven days of the feast. The historic significance of this feast is to remind the Jews of their travels to the promised land.

Prophetically, this seven day feast is the time when Jews will look forward to the Kingdom Period promised by the Lord and revealed by the ancient Jewish prophets. At the Transfiguration recorded in Matthew 17, when Peter saw Jesus in His glorified body, along with Moses and Elijah, he wanted to build three tabernacles, three succas, because he thought the Kingdom had arrived. That physical earthly Kingdom will begin on a future Feast of Tabernacles when Jesus Christ sets up His Kingdom.

Arab leaders believe the upcoming US sponsored peace conference is just a waste of time

With the US sponsored Middle East Peace Conference less than two months away, Arab leaders are saying that Israeli PM Ehud Olmert is politically weak, it seems that Israel has nothing new to offer and the conference is more for the benefit of the US than the Middle East; thus, the conference will be a waste of time according to Arab leaders.

The Arab countries' fears were echoed recently by Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak who said that the conference must have a clear agenda and result in feasible decisions or failure could lead to an eruption of violence in the Middle East. The Arab League is suggesting that the Quartet, which does include the US plus the UN, the EU and Russia, should put together the conference instead of the US alone.

Talking about peace in the Middle East and a peace conference to bring about that peace is part of a scenario that is found in Bible prophecy for the Middle East region in the Last Days.

As Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice travels throughout the Middle East trying to set an agenda for the upcoming peace conference in the Middle East, there are more and more Arab leaders that are saying they may not attend the US sponsored conference. What Arab leaders are calling for is a conference that will make a difference and not be a meeting of diplomatic niceties. Even some Arab leaders who have agreed to attend the conference say now they may not join the conference because to date it seems it would be a waste of time. The Arab League's request for the Quartet to sponsor the conference instead of only the US would position Tony Blair, the Quartet's Middle East Peace Envoy, in the catbird seat.

Talk about peace in the Middle East and the upcoming conference does fit the prophetic scenario that is found in Bible prophecy. Ezekiel 38:8, 11 speak of a time when Israel will be at peace, at least for a period of time before the Middle East erupts into full-blown war. Daniel 9:27 reveals that one man, the Antichrist, will bring about this long hoped for peace and the base for the Antichrist is the revived Roman Empire, the EU of today.

Talk about peace in the Middle East is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

U.S. President Bush strongly supports the creation of a Palestinian state

In a meeting with the PA President Mahmoud Abbas in New York City, President Bush reaffirmed his strong support for the creation of a Palestinian state which Bush said is in the best interest of the Palestinian people and the interest of Israel to have a democracy living side-by-side in peace.

Following the meeting with Abbas, President Bush received an update on the volatile region from his long time ally, Tony Blair, who after stepping down as PM of Great Britain became the Middle East Peace Envoy for the Quartet, the US, the EU, UN and Russia.

The strong support for the creation of a Palestinian state from US President George W. Bush is a precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

There have been a number of US presidents who have tried to bring about a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and all have failed. President Bush has worked at the task, but as his term draws to an end, the president is intensifying his efforts to resolve the conflict. The terminology used by President Bush is very interesting, he says he supports the "creation" of a Palestinian state, the operative word being creation. There has never been a Palestinian state in the past; therefore, if one is established, it will be a new creation.

This scenario fits right into the scenario of Bible prophecy for the Last Days. The ancient Jewish prophet Malachi wrote some 2,400 years ago that the Edomites, the Palestinian people of today, these descendants of Esau would bring about a state and that the Lord would call the borders of this state, the borders of wickedness, Malachi 1:3-4. Ezekiel 35, another prophetic passage on this issue, states that the Palestinian people would kill the Jews and take their land.

Strong US support for the creation of a Palestinian state does indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Columbia University compares Hitler to Iranian President Ahmadinejad

Iranian President Ahmadinejad landed in New York City in what has been described as a hornets nest of outrage as Columbia University allows the very controversial Iranian President to address the faculty and students of this institution of higher learning.

He was welcomed by the Dean of the school who seemed to compare Ahmadinejad to Hitler who the Dean said would have been allowed to speak during his day 60 years ago.

While in New York City the Iranian President will also address the General Assembly of the United Nations amid the controversy surrounding Ahmadinejad who has called for the Jewish State of Israel to be wiped off the face of the earth.

The appearance of Ahmadinejad at Columbia University and the United Nations General Assembly in New York City does draw attention to one personality in our world today that believes we are near to the times of the coming messiah; howbeit, not the Messiah of the Bible.

Surrounded by controversy, Iranian President Ahmadinejad arrived in New York City to address the General Assembly of the United Nations and only intensified the controversy when he accepted an invitation to address the faculty and students at Columbia University in New York.

Ahmadinejad, during the last several years has made a number of radical statements with most of them focused on the Jewish State of Israel. Ahmadinejad, a holocaust denier has called for Israel to be wiped off the face of the earth.

Iran continues to develop a nuclear weapon of mass destruction and the world is very concerned about a nuclear equipped military force that has played a major role in recruiting, training, arming and then supporting terrorist across the world.

The Bible mentions Iran, known by the name Persia in Ezekiel 38:5. This nation is one of many nations who will attack Israel to endeavor to try to wipe them off the earth, near after the time of the Rapture of the Church.

These nations are mentioned in Daniel 11, Ezekiel 38 and Psalm 83. Zechariah 13:8 mentions a time in the future when two out of every three Jews will be killed.

As Jewish people in Jerusalem and around the world stop for a fast day to mark Judaism's Holiest Day, Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, Israel shuts off the Palestinian territories and at the same time remembers the surprise assault by Egypt and Syria that sparked a war some 34 years ago.

The entire nation of Israel shuts down for the twenty-five hour fast as the Jews seek forgiveness from God for the last years transgressions, using the fast day in lieu of the Yom Kippur sacrifice at the temple since there is no temple in Jerusalem.

Yom Kippur, the Jewish Holy Day of Atonement, looks back to Biblical times. It also has a prophetic significance, that is according to Bible prophecy.

As Jews in Jerusalem and around the world stop to observe the Jewish Holy day of Yom Kippur, they are reminded how the High Priest at the temple in Jerusalem would enter into the Holy of Holies with the sacrificial blood to pour it on the Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant.

During the ten days leading up to Yom Kippur, starting on Rosh Hashana, Jews were to seek forgiveness from family, friends, loved ones and neighbors for any trespass over the last year.

This act of seeking forgiveness is a part of the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur, as the Jews seek to be included in the Book of Life and during temple times their sins would be covered for one year, until the next Yom Kippur.

Now without the temple, Jews give money, do good deeds and pray, along with the twenty-five hour fast on Yom Kippur. Jesus Christ, the Jewish Messiah, will in the future fulfill the prophetic aspect of Yom Kippur as He did the other Jewish Feast Days, in the spring, 2,000 years ago.

Jesus was crucified on Passover, buried on Unleavened Bread, and rose from the dead on the Feast of First Fruits. Jesus, in the future, will come back to earth on Rosh Hashana, and ten days later will enter the Holy of Holies on Yom Kippur, for the purpose of giving salvation to all Jews at that time, Zechariah 3:9 and Ezekiel 43:1-7. Indeed Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The Israeli Governments Chief Negotiator is Ready to Divide the City of Jerusalem with the Palestinian Authority

The lead negotiator, on behalf of the present Israeli government, in talks with the Palestinian Authority has confirmed his plan to relinquish sovereignty over much of Jerusalem including the Old City, but allowing the Western Wall and the Jewish Quarter of the city to remain under Israeli rule.

Regarding the Holy sites, the Temple Mount, Vice-Prime Minister Chaim Ramon said that in Jerusalem there would be an undefined special sovereignty. A statement which caused several religious, political parties that are a part of the coalition government of Ehud Olmert to say they would leave the government if Jerusalem is divided.

An offer by the Israeli government to divide the city of Jerusalem with the Palestinian Authority is actually setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

It has been rumored that Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is ready to divide the city of Jerusalem with the Palestinian Authority in order to come to a peace agreement.

The religious, political parties in Olmert's Coalition government say they will pull out of the government which could well bring down the Israel's government and stop the plan to divide Jerusalem.

Never has an Israeli Prime Minister been willing to divide the city Jerusalem after it was reunited in June of 1967. This offer by Olmert's government to divide Jerusalem plays into the prophetic scenario for the last days according to Bible prophecy.

The ancient Jewish prophet Zechariah wrote 2,500 years ago that in the last days, just prior to the second coming of Jesus, Jerusalem would become the center of controversy in the Middle East, Zechariah 12:2.

Ezekiel describes the city of Jerusalem as becoming much larger and the place for the temple where Jesus Christ will rule and reign during the kingdom to come, Ezekiel 45:1-6.

The Psalmist wrote that God has chosen Jerusalem as His dwelling place among His people forever, Psalm 132: 13-14.

The offer by the Israeli government to divide Jerusalem is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The Vatican's Chief Astronomer says Intelligent Design is not Science

The Director of the Vatican Observatory, George Coyne, said recently that Intelligent Design is not science and it does not belong in the science classroom. He added that Intelligent Design pretends to be science, but it is not science.

The Vatican's Chief Astronomer said that placing the Intelligent Design Theory alongside Evolution in school programs was wrong and was akin to mixing apples with oranges. Coyne's statements are in line with other critics of Intelligent Design who say it's merely Creationism, a literal reading of the Bible's story of Creation, camouflaged in scientific language.

Officials from the world's largest religious group declaring that Intelligent Design is Creationism camouflaged as science is a precursor to the time when Jesus Christ will return, that is according to Bible prophecy. The debate over the moves by public officials wanting to place the teaching of Intelligent Design in public schools has reached a level of great intensity.

Even the president of the United States, George W. Bush, has weighed in on the issue saying that Intelligent Design should be taught alongside the Theory of Evolution in the public classroom. Now, this declaration by the Vatican Chief Astronomer, a scientist as well as a religious leader, who says that Intelligent Design is not science and should not be in the science classroom.

The Apostle Peter warned true believers in Jesus Christ that in the last days there would be those who would be willfully ignorant in other words dumb on purpose and they would deny that the Lord created all things in the heavens and under the heavens, Second Peter 3:4-5. These same people would also deny the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, Second Peter 3:3-4 and this would actually be a proof that we are in the days of His return.

An international team of earthquake specialists say that Indonesia faces a potential giant quake in the near future

A team of international scientists, including a group from the California Institute of Technology, says that the three major earthquakes in Indonesia recently have increased the likelihood of a major disaster with the potential for a giant quake in the near future.

With Indonesia's Sumatra right on the Equator, this island holds the deadliest stretch of ocean anyplace in the world which was the location by the way that produced the tsunami several years ago that caused the deaths of over 300,000 people. The team of earthquake specialists who traveled to the area say that the potential giant quake could well be a rare magnitude 9 quake and with the plates in the Earth so tightly sprung, the quake will happen sooner, rather than later.

With the recent earthquake activity and the potential for the giant quake in Indonesia, the world is witnessing what Jesus said would happen in the Last Days according to Bible prophecy.

Across the world this last year, there have been many earthquakes in a number of different locations. Most recently, the three powerful earthquakes in Indonesia motivated a team of earthquake specialists to travel to the nation to try and determine the potential for additional quake activity. The team of scientists have concluded that there is a potential for what they term a "giant quake" to happen in that part of the world and they say it could be sooner rather than later.

On the subject of earthquakes, Jesus said that a major indicator of the nearness of His return to the Earth, the Second Coming, would be earthquake activity in many different places, Matthew 24:7. Jesus also gave the Apostle John the prophetic message of the book of Revelation where He spoke about additional earthquake activity including the worst earthquake that will ever take place on the Earth just before He comes back to the Earth, Revelation 16:18.

The warning from a team of earthquake specialists of a giant quake in Indonesia is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

600 Iranian Missiles are pointed at targets in Israel

An Iranian web site affiliated with the regime of Iranian President Ahmadinejad is reporting that 600 Iranian Shihab 3 missiles are pointed at targets throughout Israel and will be launched if either Iran or Syria are attacked.

This report surfaced as the Foreign Minister of France said that the Nuclear Iranian crisis forces the world to prepare for the worst and that means an all out war with Iran.

The report of 600 Iranian missiles aimed at targets in Israel is a precursor to the prophetic scenario that is found in the Bible.

Iran's President Ahmadinejad has time and again stated that Israel must be wiped off the map, that the Jewish state can not continue, at least in the Middle East. It has also been in the news of the partnership that Iran and Syria have formed, especially in the area of political and military issues.

With the continuing development of nuclear weapons of mass destruction by Iran and the report that Syria has acquired nuclear materials of some type from North Korea, this partnership becomes more meaningful everyday.

Now that both Iran and Syria are on notice from Israel and many of the nations from around the world including the United States and France, that these two terrorist sponsoring nations will be stopped from a nuclear attack, Iran has responded. Attack us and we will attack Israel.

As I give this report I almost sense that I am reading from the pages of Bible prophecy. The ancient Jewish prophet Daniel wrote that Syria would be the first of the nations to attack Israel during the Tribulation Period; however, Daniel also says that Iran will join in right away, Daniel 11:40-44.

Ezekiel, another Jewish prophet, pre-wrote history for the last days confirming Daniel's prophecy. That is found in Ezekiel 38:5 where the name Persia is modern-day Iran. The Psalmist, in Psalm 83:1-6, agrees that these two players are major players in the last days.

Moslems around the world observe the holiest month on the Moslem calendar, Ramadan

The new moon has indicated the beginning of Ramadan, the Moslem's holy month of fasting, and practicing Muslims around the world will refrain from eating and drinking during daylight along with other restrictions and prayers in a long list of religious rituals in the Islamic faith.

Ramadan, the ninth month on the Islamic calendar, is what Moslems deem the holiest month of the year and believe it to be the month when the Koran was first revealed to the prophet Mohammad, founder of Islam, through the angel Gabriel. Marking this event, Moslems strive to get closer to Allah, their divine, by good deeds, fasting, and paying alms to the poor with restrictions on bad language, inappropriate manners, and sexual relations all during the month of Ramadan.

The Moslem observance of Ramadan strikes a blow at the prophetic truths that can be found in the Bible, the Holy Book that predicts the future.

The month long fast in the Moslem world during the Moslem month of Ramadan marks an attack on the people of the Book, the Bible, the people known as Jews and Christians. Ramadan is the month that supposedly the angel Gabriel gave the Moslem prophet Mohammad the Islamic holy book the Koran. The Koran itself introduces the doctrine of abrogation, meaning that Moslems believe that the Koran is the last and final word from god, and that all previous holy books, i.e. the Bible, are abrogated, changed and made to conform to what the Koran says is truth. For example, the Koran says that Allah, the Moslem god, never had a son and it says that Jesus Christ never died and thus never resurrected from the dead. The Koran also says that Jesus Christ is not the coming Messiah who will rule and reign over the universe from His Temple in Jerusalem.

The Koran is wrong. The Bible says Jesus is the Son of God and to those who believe otherwise, He sets aside as Antichrists, that's I John 4:1-3. I Corinthians 15 says that Jesus Christ did die and He resurrected from the dead, and it also says that He is coming again. Revelation 19 says He will be King of Kings and Lord of Lords and rule the entire universe.

Jews around the world celebrate Rosh Hashanah - The Jewish New Year

The first of the three Fall Jewish feast days, Rosh Hashanah - the Jewish New Year, is a family holy day when Jews gather to celebrate the anniversary of the day that God created man on the sixth day of Creation some 5,768 years ago.

5768 is the New Year for the Jewish people according to their calendar which is based upon a lunar system with only 360 days in a year. This will be a day when Jewish families dip their apples into honey so that they will have a sweet new year.

Rosh Hashanah also begins the ten awesome days that lead up to the holiest of the Jewish holy days, Yom Kippur - the Day of Atonement. These awesome days are when the Jewish people prepare their hearts for the next year.

Rosh Hashanah is more than the Jewish New Year both historically prophetically according to Jewish tradition and God's prophetic Word.

Jewish tradition says that Rosh Hashanah - the Feast of Trumpets - the Jewish New Year, marks the sixth day of Creation and the day that God created man 5,768 years ago. In fact, Rosh of Rosh Hashanah means "head" and shanah means "year", thus the head of the year or the beginning of the new year.

Rosh Hashanah is the first of the three Fall Jewish feasts and it has a prophetic significance as well as the historic significance of being the day that God created man. All of the Jewish feast days have marked or will mark an event in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that Jesus was crucified on Passover, Christ was buried on Unleaven Bread and resurrected on Firstfruits, this all in the proper day sequences. Rosh Hashanah - the Feast of Trumpets, will be the day that Jesus Christ comes back to the Earth, not for the Rapture, but the Second Coming, Matthew 24:31. Jesus will walk into the Holy of Holies on the Day of Atonement and the Kingdom begins on the Feast of Tabernacles.

Rosh Hashanah speaks of history, but also looks to the future when Bible prophecy will be fulfilled at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

Israel has agreed to destroy the Jewish settlements to establish a Palestinian state

The PA News Agency has published a copy in Hebrew of PM Ehud Olmert's agreement to expel tens of thousands of Jewish settlers and includes the evacuation of the Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria for the establishment of a Palestinian state side by side with Israel with a portion of Jerusalem as the capital and the giving up of the Temple Mount to the Palestinians.

The Jewish settlers responded by saying that such a move by the Israeli government would forfeit Israel's security and welfare and the Jewish settlers called for the Israeli Knesset to stop PM Olmert from following through on this agreement.

Israeli PM Olmert's plans to evacuate the Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria and give this land to the Palestinians for a Palestinian state will have the Israeli government fulfill Bible prophecy for the Palestinians.

Now, the PA has printed the document that outlines the spoken agreement and the November International Middle East Peace Conference will mark the beginning of this Israeli give away. The declaration of principles between Olmert and PA President Mahmoud Abbas includes a portion of Jerusalem as the capital for the Palestinian state and the Temple Mount being handed over to the PA.

Bible prophecy calls for the Palestinian people to do all that Ehud Olmert has agreed to do, supposedly to acquire peace with the Palestinians. Ezekiel 35:10-13 reveals that the Palestinians, the Biblical Edomites, the people from Mount Seir according to Ezekiel 35, these Palestinians of today would take the land away from the Jews, land that God had given the Jewish people. Malachi wrote some 2,500 years ago that God would call the borders of this Palestinian state the borders of wickedness, Malachi 1:3-4. These two prophets, plus Jeremiah and Obadiah, pre-wrote history and said that the Palestinians would take the land that God had given the Jewish people; however, Israeli PM Olmert is doing that job for the Palestinians.

Osama bin Laden praises 9-11 hijackers on the 6th anniversary of al-Qaeda's attack on America

A new video was released by al Qaeda on the 6th anniversary of the September 11th attack on America that features a 14-minute introduction from Osama bin Laden who praises the 9-11 hijacker, Waleed al-Shehri from Saudi Arabia, who was aboard the American Airlines flight 11 which crashed into the northern tower of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

Radical Islamist websites have been announcing that there would be good news soon from Sheikh Osama bin Laden; however, no one has said that this is the good news that was expected.

The release of an al Qaeda video on the 6th anniversary of 9-11 is a stark reminder that current events are setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

As Americans mourn those who died in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. and the crash in the fields of Pennsylvania on this the 6th anniversary of that infamous day, September 11, 2001, the terrorist organization responsible for the attack released a video praising one of the hijackers. The act of terrorism that revealed the intent of radical Islamic fundamentalists to destroy all who oppose the spread of Islam around the world and the establishment of a caliphate, a world-wide Islamic kingdom, has only intensified since that infamous this day.

This report is evidence that the beginning of the end is now in place as foretold by the ancient Jewish prophets. Saudi Arabia, mentioned in Psalm 83:6 as the Ishmaelites, produced the hijackers, Sudan, the Ethiopia of Ezekiel 38:5, was the training center for these attackers and the hatred for the Jews by these states aligned in terrorism are spoken of in Daniel 11:40-43. All of these recent events have indeed set the stage for the End Times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

The release of an al Qaeda video praising the September 11, 2001 attack on its sixth anniversary is evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that Israel is facing another holocaust like the one in 1939

Benjamin Netanyahu, a former Israeli Prime Minister and the leader of the present Opposition Party in the Israeli government, told a counter-terrorism conference in Herzliya that military action against Iran should be used if Israel sees that Iran's nuclear weapons program is about to come alive.

Netanyahu compared Iran's Ahmadinejad to Hitler in 1939 who embarked on a world conflict and then attempted to gain weapons of mass destruction. While Ahmadinejad is going about the process in reverse order and then Ahmadinejad will launch into a world-wide conflict.

Benjamin Netanyahu's statement that we are re-living the year 1939 with Iran's Ahmadinejad following Hitler's example is evidence that two strands of Bible prophecy are on track for complete fulfillment.

At the counter-terrorism conference in Herzliya, along Israel's Mediterranean Coast, delegates from around the world have gathered to discuss ways of combating the threat of terrorism.

Netanyahu cited Middle East historian, Bernard Lewis as saying that Iran with a nuclear weapon of mass destruction would use it to bring back the Shiite Messianic figure, the Mahdi, and millions of people would die. Bernard Lewis's statement is in perfect harmony with Bible prophecy for the last days.

Ezekiel wrote, over 2500 years ago, that Iran, the Persia of Ezekiel 38:5 would be a major player on the world scene at the time of the end. And would go forth to destroy the Jewish state. In other words, they would try to wipe Israel off the map.

Another ancient Jewish prophet, Zechariah, wrote that two out of every three Jews would be killed in the last days, far worse than Hitler's holocaust in 1939. That's found in Zechariah 13:8.

These two prophecies from two different Jewish prophets seem to b e converging at a time in history that will witness the fulfillment of both prophecies in a short period of time.

A Palestinian scholar in Jerusalem says that the Jews have no historic connection to the Temple Mount, the Western Wall, or the Holy Land

Palestinian scholar Dr. Hassan Khader, founder of the al Quds Encyclopedia, argues that the Jews have no ancient connection to the Temple Mount, Western Wall, or even a right to claim land in the Middle East as the land of their forefathers and thus a right for a modern-day state of Israel.

Dr. Khader teaches that the Jewish connection to the Temple Mount and the Western Wall arrived some 1,400 years after the beginning of Islam when the Jews conquered Jerusalem and made the Western Wall into their special place of worship where they worship and pray.

A Palestinian scholar who denies a Jewish connection to the Temple Mount and even the Holy Land is producing evidence that the End Times are near, that is according to Bible prophecy.

The Palestinian scholar, Dr. Hassan Khader, teaches Palestinian youth that the Jews have no historical connection to Jerusalem or the Holy Land. Dr. Khader uses the Palestinian Authority Television to propagate what he says is the real history of the area known as the Temple Mount and the Western Wall. Not only does Khader praise the Palestinian terrorists for their violence and death to Jews, but encourages them to continue preventing the Jews from any access to the Temple Mount and the Western Wall.

The teachings of this Palestinian scholar contradict the recorded history that can be found in the Bible. The Old Testament is a record of the Jewish connection not only to the land, but to the city of Jerusalem as well; a connection to Canaan which is modern-day Israel, that's Genesis 12-37 and the city of Jerusalem which includes the Temple Mount, and that's found in II Samuel 5:7. Ezekiel 34-37 reveals that God will give this land, the land of their forefathers to the Jewish people in the End Times. Zechariah 1:12-16 and 12:2-3 indicate that this piece of real estate will indeed be a land of conflict.

Palestinian teaching is today setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled in a soon coming tomorrow.

The Syrian military opened fire on an Israeli Air Force jet over Syrian airspace

The Syrian government has warned Israel against what they call the flagrant aggressive act by the Israeli Air Force who they claim violated Syrian airspace saying that they retain the right to respond in an appropriate manner.

Syria's air defenses opened fire on the Israeli aircraft when the aircraft broke the sound barrier and dropped fuel tanks over deserted areas in Northern Syria along its border with Turkey. Israel acknowledges flying over Lebanon routinely, but it is unclear how often Israeli aircraft fly over Syria and the IDF said they were not accustomed to responding to such reports.

The report of an Israeli military aircraft flying over Syria and the Syrian military responding is a precursor to the scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for the Last Days.

The history of Israeli-Syrian confrontations date back to 1947 and the period leading up to the establishment of a Jewish state in 1948. Syria has been a participant in every major war that Israel has suffered in its 60 year history. Technically, Syria and Israel are still at war with a cease-fire that has been in effect since 1974. However, in recent days, both the Syrian military and the IDF have been on high alert for the possibility of another major conflict.

This latest incident of an Israeli aircraft being fired on while over Syrian airspace brings these two countries closer to what Bible prophecy says will happen in the future. The ancient Jewish prophet Daniel wrote some 2,500 years ago that Syria would make the first move against the Jewish state of Israel as an alignment of nations join forces to destroy Israel. Daniel 11:40-43 speaks of the King of the North, and that would be Syria according to Bible sources, who will attack Israel first followed by Egypt and every major Arab and Islamic state.

An Israeli aircraft over Syrian airspace being fired upon is indeed a precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

The Israeli Knesset has chosen the symbol for Israel's 60th birthday

The Israeli Knesset's Symbols and Ceremonies Committee decided recently on Israel's official symbol for its 60th anniversary which features a child holding a white and blue sheet of cloth swirling into the number 60. This symbol will be the trademark for the year-long celebration of the Jewish state's 60th birthday, celebrating the rebirth of a state of Israel after almost 2,000 years with Jews scattered across the world.

The Israeli government has many plans for this 60th anniversary which may be interrupted by the events unfolding in the Middle East as it relates to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as well as the continuing threat from Iran.

The fact that the Jewish state of Israel is celebrating its 60th birthday is absolute evidence that Bible prophecy is being fulfilled.

Out of more than 100 nations of the world over the last 100 years, Jews from around the world have been slowly but surely making their way back to the homeland of their forefathers. Even as these Jews from around the world gather together to rebuild their own nation, their ancient Jewish language has also been restored so that Hebrew is the official language of the Jewish state.

The last 60 year history of this modern-day state of Israel has been marked by conflicts and full-scale wars, but the state of Israel continues to stand strong living among her enemies.

A number of the ancient Jewish prophets pre-wrote this modern-day history. Moses wrote that the Jews would return to their land after they had been punished for almost 2,000 years as recorded in Deuteronomy 28, 30. Micah wrote that God would punish the Jews, but then bring them back into their ancient homeland, Micah 7. Ezekiel, in chapter 37, said that the Jews would be regathered, that's the bones coming together as talked about in verse 7. They would be restored as a Jewish state, that's the flesh covering these bones that have come together as recorded in Ezekiel 37:8.

With Israel celebrating their 60th birthday, there is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Israeli President Shimon Peres says Hamas wants to destroy Israel

In a meeting in Jerusalem with the Austrian chancellor, Israeli President Shimon Peres said that the Palestinian Islamic terrorist group Hamas has one goal to destroy the Jewish state of Israel and wants to impose the dangerous radical religious law, the Sharia Law of an Islamic republic, on the entire Palestinian state that replaces the state of Israel.

Peres reminded the Austrian chancellor that Israel pulled out of the Gaza Strip completely; therefore, he could not understand why Hamas continued to attack from the evacuated areas unless they wanted all of Israel. Peres said that it was an intolerable situation that Hamas was instigating and that there was a limit to how much Israel is willing to tolerate.

The claim by Israeli President Shimon Peres that Hamas wants to destroy Israel is exactly what Bible prophecy says about these two peoples in the Last Days.

Nobel Peace Prize winner Shimon Peres is not a hawkish politician and not known for radical rhetoric of any kind. When Peres makes a statement claiming that the address for all of the murderous acts by terrorists in Israel is Hamas and that Hamas wants to destroy the Jewish state, this is not an overstatement. It is true that after Israel pulled 9,000 Jewish settlers, Hamas rushed into the evacuated areas and setup bomb making factories, terrorist training camps, and the launch areas for the rocket attacks on Israel.

This report is like reading from the prophetic scenario spoken of by the ancient Jewish prophets. Malachi said that the Palestinians, the Biblical Edomites, would return to a place from which they could kill Jews, Malachi 1. Obadiah also confirmed that the descendants of Esau, the Palestinians today, would kill the Jewish people, Obadiah 10. Ezekiel said that the Edomites, Palestinians, would kill the Jews and take their land, Ezekiel 35:5, 10.

The claim by Israeli President Shimon Peres that Hamas wants to destroy Israel is indeed inline with Bible prophecy.

Less than 25% of Christians have Bible knowledge to place key events in order

According to the results of a new survey by the Bible Society in the UK, less than a quarter of Christians possess enough knowledge of the Bible to be able to place key events in Bible history in the order that they appear.

The Bible Society carried out a survey of regular church-goers which reveals that 78% of those people were unable to put a series of ten popular Bible stories in order: events like Noah's Ark, Solomon's building of the Temple, Jesus feeding the five thousand and other similar incidents.
The survey, a quick-fire quiz style, was designed to assess the assumption that Christians possess an in-depth knowledge of the Bible.

A lack of Bible knowledge, and in particular Bible prophecy, will hinder the understanding of the times in which we live and the urgency of the moment, related to Bible prophecy and the End Times. Christian leaders in the world today believe that the significance of God's Word, the Bible, is for living out the Christian faith in our world today.

The shocking fact is that 75% of regular church goers do not even have enough Bible knowledge to recognize the order of events unfolded in the Bible. And even a larger percentage of those same people do not understand the times in which we're living as unfolded by Bible prophecy, which is actually 30% of the Bible's content. Jesus said that He would send the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit, to teach us things to come, in other words prophecy; that's found in John 16:13.

Through the Apostle Paul, our Lord told us to study the scriptures, II Timothy 2:15, so that we could discern the times in which we live today. Jesus also said through the Apostle John, who wrote the book of Revelation, that the scriptures found in Revelation 4-22 will reveal those things to happen yet in the future.

Bible prophecy will be fulfilled and it behooves followers of Christ to understand the urgency of the moment by reading the Bible prophecy passages in His Word.
