The Jewish holy day of Purim is the celebration that Haman, number 2 in the Persian Empire, was not successful in wiping the entire Jewish population of this world off the face of the earth some 2400 years ago. The Biblical book of Esther will be read by Jewish worshipers in the synagogues around the world to recount the story of the queen that arrived on the scene for just such a time as that to save her people, the Jewish people.
Many have compared the Persian leader Haman to the modern day President of Iran, President Ahmadinejad, the Persian leader today who wants also to wipe the Jews off the earth.
Jimmy's Prophetic prospective on the News
As Jews around the world celebrate the Jewish holy day of Purim, they must be reminded of a worse time to come that is according to Bible prophecy.
The Jewish holy day of Purim marks the Jewish victory over the wicked Haman in the Bible book of Esther. Haman, the number 2 leader in the Persian kingdom some 2400 years ago, had called for the annihilation of all the Jews and had it not been for Esther, the queen, this dastardly act would have been carried out. Instead, Haman, the villain of the book of Esther, ended up being hanged on the gallows that he had prepared for the Jews. As Jews mark this holy day, they gather in synagogues around the world to read the book of Esther and remember the account of a Jewish victory.
Today there is a remnant of the Persian Empire still alive on Planet Earth - it is modern day Iran where they still speak Persian. In fact, until 1936, Iran was called Persia and today's leader, President Ahmadinejad, still wants to wipe the Jewish people off the earth as it is prophesied in Psalm 83:4. Bible prophecy foretells of the Time of Jacob's Trouble (Jeremiah 30:7) and it reveals the terrible Tribulation yet in the future. The prophet Daniel wrote that the archangel Michael will be dispatched to protect the Jewish people during this time (Daniel 12:1). Jesus, in His Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24), said that if He did not bring these days to an end, all the Jews would be annihilated from the earth (Matthew 24:21-22). Revelation 12 speaks of evil angels thrown out of heaven coming to destroy the Jewish people on the earth.
As Jews do celebrate Purim, they must be reminded of worse days yet to come because Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The Palestinian Authority president warns Israel of a holy war over two Jewish historical Biblical sites
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas sent a warning to Israel that there could be a holy war over two Jewish historical Biblical sites being included in a list of Jewish heritage locations that the Israeli government will refurbish and encourage Jews to visit as they celebrate their 4000 year history. The entire Arab world has protested this Israeli decision saying that the move is a provocation, some even calling for violence against the Jews and the Palestinian Authority President Abbas warns of a holy war.
The two sited are the Machpelah Cave in Hebron dating back 4000 years ago when Abraham purchased this site to bury his wife and the Tomb of Rachel, Jacob's wife who died in childbirth also 4000 years ago in Bethlehem.
Jimmy's Prophetic prospective on the News
The warning of a holy war between the Palestinians and the Jews over the burial sites of two Jewish Matriarchs is a precursor to the end times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy related to these two peoples.
Recently, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu included two very historical and Biblical sites of the Jewish people on his list of heritage sites his government wants to refurbish and open to the public as a site full of Jewish history. The purchase of Machpelah Cave in Hebron is recorded in Genesis 23 and reveals that Abraham paid cash money for this Jewish burial site. Genesis 35 is the account of Jacob burying his wife Rachel in Bethlehem after she died in childbirth. This whole controversy is evidence of a 4000 year old struggle that started in the womb of Rebekah (Genesis 23) where her two sons, Jacob and Esau, fought each other before their birth. As you trace these two boys through Scripture, Jacob and Esau, you find that Jacob's descendants are the Jewish people of today and the descendants of Esau are the Palestinian people. Bible prophecy in Ezekiel 35, Malachi 1, and the little book of Obadiah reveals to us that this Jewish-Palestinian struggle will continue until the return of Jesus Christ to Jerusalem when He will settle this conflict.
The warning of a holy war from Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is indeed a precursor to the endtime scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy that will be fulfilled.

Israeli officials say Anti-Semitism is alive and kicking
At a two day conference held in Jerusalem, the global forum for combating Anti-Semitism, over 50 nations gathered with some 500 delegates to discuss the issue of Anti-Semitism and they heard from Israel's Minister of Diaspora Affairs that not one day goes by without an expression of hatred against Jews.
The conference leader quoted the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who said that Anti-Zionism, in other words, Anti-Israel, is the same as Anti-Semitism indicating that anyone who criticizes Israel is criticizing the Jewish people.
Jimmy's Prophetic prospective on the News
The global forum to fight against Anti-Semitism held in Jerusalem reveals that being Anti-Israel is Anti-Semitic which Bible prophecy confirms as well.
Anti-Semitism is alive and kicking according to the Minister of Diaspora Affairs in Israel, Yuli Edelstein, who told 500 delegates from over 50 nations of this world that not one day goes by without an expression of hatred against Jews. Edelstein said that Jews around the world are in danger of their lives and when the state of Israel is under repeated assaults, that this is the worst kind of Anti-Semitism.
This issue, Anti-Semitism, is an issue that is not going away in the future, in fact it will only intensify according to Bible prophecy. The Jewish prophets spoke about hatred of the Jewish people in the last days, a hatred that will increase to the point that the Lord will have to intercede on behalf of the Jewish people. Jeremiah talks about the time of Jacob's Trouble, Jeremiah 30:7.
John, the Apostle, the writer of the book of Revelation, said that Israel, the Jewish people, will come under fire for a seven year period of time in the last days, Revelation 6-19. Zechariah wrote that two out of every three Jewish people will be killed during that time described in Revelation, Zechariah 13:8.
Indeed Anti-Semitism is alive and kicking and will only get worse.

Israeli archaeologists have unearthed a 3000 year old wall that is archaeological evidence to verify the Jewish king of Israel, King Solomon
An archaeological team led by Dr. Eliat Mazar has unearthed an ancient wall in Jerusalem that dates back to the third king of Israel, King Solomon, the son of King David, and this team believes this discovery gives proof to the Biblical account of the presence of the Jewish people in Jerusalem 3000 years ago.
Dr. Mazar cited the book of I Kings in the Bible as she explained the archaeological significance of this wall which surrounded the central city of the monarchy, the House of King Solomon and the first Temple of the Jewish people.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
The archaeological discovery of an ancient wall in Jerusalem dating back to the Jewish King Solomon is evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
The archaeological dig in the city of David, the original site of the city of Jerusalem, has unearthed important artifacts that give proof of a Jewish presence in Jerusalem back through history. With the recent discovery of a wall between the city of David and the Temple Mount that dates back 3000 years ago, there is further proof of a Jewish presence in the period of the first Jewish Temple. That first Temple was built in the time of King Solomon, the third king of the Jewish people. The fact that this wall is evidence of a Jewish leadership capable of building this massive fortress wall is evidence that King Solomon had the capacity to build the first Temple as well, as is recorded in I Kings 6.
The building of this Jewish Temple 3000 years ago by King Solomon was the first installment of the Davidic Covenant, II Samuel 7, which was God's promise to King David that one of his sons would build that Temple, II Samuel 7:12-13. However, the Davidic Covenant also looked into the future, beyond King Solomon to the last days when another in the lineage of King David, the Messiah, Jesus Christ would build a Temple in Jerusalem and become the King of the Kingdom that will be forever, II Samuel 7:10-16.

The United Nations has condemned the Israeli government for declaring Jewish holy sites as part of the heritage of the Jewish people
Recently the Israeli cabinet under Prime Minister Netanyahu declared the Machpelah Cave, burial site for the Jewish Patriarchs in Hebron, and Rachel's Tomb in Bethlehem as part of the heritage of the Jewish people which the United Nations has condemned. The United Nations Envoy to the Middle East Peace Process, Robert Serry, condemned this cabinet decision saying that the Jewish sites are on occupied Palestinian land and they are of great significance historically to both the Moslems and Christians as well.
The Israeli government has set up a plan for the preservation of the heritage sites of the Jewish people across the state of Israel and the United Nations envoy warned Israel this plan could undermine the highest priority for all of those who seek peace in the Middle East.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
The United Nations condemnation of Israel's plan to preserve the historical sites of the Jewish people over 4000 years is an indication that the last days scenario found in Bible prophecy is quickly approaching fulfillment.
Much of the land of Israel, the Jewish state in the Middle East, has a past, present, and future significance. In fact, every time an Israel starts a building project the Antiquities Authority must sign off on that piece of real estate as being free of any historical significance. Recently, the Israeli government decided to put in place a plan to preserve these historical Jewish sites. Two such sites, the Machpelah Cave in Hebron and Rachel's Tomb in Bethlehem are located in what is referred to as the Disputed Territories. However, the United Nations peace envoy for the Middle East condemned Israel because he says that these two sites are on occupied land and are significant to Moslems and Christians as well.
Machpelah Cave in Hebron dates back to 4000 years ago to the times of Abraham and its the burial site for the Jewish Patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This is a piece of real estate that Abraham paid cash money for (Genesis 23). Rachel's Tomb in Bethlehem is where Jacob buried his wife after she gave birth to their son Benjamin, the last of the twelve sons of Israel (Genesis 35). There were not Christians or Moslems around at that time in history - thus there is no Moslem or Christian connection to these sites. This is another example of how the world will come and try to take the land away from the Jewish people in the last days (Psalm 83:4).
Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

A group of religious Jews are demanding a presence today in Jericho, the first Jewish city in the promised land
Any student of the Bible will recognize the name of the city of Jericho. It was the first city that the Children of Israel captured as they entered the land that God has promised to give them after 40 years of wandering in the wilderness some 3500 years ago. In 1994, Jericho was the first city in Judea and Samaria given to the newly created Palestinian Authority under the late Yasser Arafat and this surrender to the Palestinian people of this ancient Jewish city marked the beginning of the surrender of other strategic areas for the Palestinian people like Ramallah and the Gaza Strip.
Now there is an Israeli group made up of mostly religious Jews that want to bring a Jewish presence back to this Biblical city not just an occasional gathering of in Jericho but a permanent return to Jericho.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
An Israeli group of religiously active Jews who want a permanent Jewish presence today in Jericho sets the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
Until 1993 and the signing of the Oslo Accords between Israel and the Palestinian people, there was a large presence of Jews in the Jericho area of Israel near the northern end of the Dead Sea in the Jordan Valley. The Oslo Accords created the Palestinian Authority, the political body of the Palestinian people, and allowed the late Yasser Arafat to go to Jericho on his first return visit to Israel in many many years. Jericho has for years, almost 3500 years, marked the beginning of the Jewish people receiving the land that God had promised to them. The phrase from the Oslo Accord, "Jericho First" seemed to reverse God's plan for the Jewish people in the past and present and contradicted the Lord's future plans for the Jews. In fact, the land the Jews captured 3500 years ago and live in today is only 10% of all the land that God has promised to the Jewish people.
In 38 chapters of the Bible one can find the true Biblical borders of the total land the Jews will one day receive according to these passages and the Land Covenant found in Deuteronomy 30. That total amount of land included half of Egypt today, all of Israel, Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan, three quarters of Iraq, and three quarters of Saudi Arabia which is the basis for the Middle East conflict today.
But remember, Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

An adviser to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu says Israel must have a tremendously powerful weapon to ward off a nuclear attack
Israel's national security adviser, Uzi Arad, says that Israel must have tremendously powerful weapons to ward off a nuclear attack or destroy an enemy that dares to launch an atomic strike against the Jewish state. Arad's comments appeared to allude to what is widely believed to be Israel's own nuclear arsenal and a standing Israeli policy of mutually assured destruction, a warning to other countries that could bring about their own devastation if they launch an attack.
The Israeli security adviser to the prime minister said that he feared that if Iran became a nuclear power, five or six other states in the Middle East would follow suit which he called a potential nightmare for Israel.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
A nuclear powered Israel in a face off with with a nuclear powered Iran and a number of other Middle Eastern states is a scenario that is real today but also a scenario found in Bible prophecy for a soon to be tomorrow.
As US President Obama and Russian President Medvedev recently discussed the reduction of their own nuclear arsenals, the Middle East is actively building up their potential nuclear capabilities. With the statement from the national security adviser in Israel, Uzi Arad, that the Jewish state must be nuclear powered to ward off a nuclear attack by Iran or a number of other Middle Eastern states, it seems to be clear that Israel is ready to apply the "MAD" policy. If attacked, Israel would respond with mutually assured destruction.
These words indicate how close our world may be to the end time scenario that is found in Bible prophecy for the Jewish state. The nation of Iran, mentioned in Ezekiel 38:5, when nuclear powered will follow through on their threat to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth. An alignment of nations including nuclear powered Middle Eastern nations will join Iran in this attack only to be destroyed not by an Israeli nuclear weapon, but by Jesus Christ who will devastate these attackers (Ezekiel 38:18-23).
God, not nuclear weapons, will protect His chosen people. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

A high ranking US official holds talks with the Arab nation who is key to Middle East peace
The highest ranking US official to visit Syria in the last five years held candid talks with the Syrian President Bashar Assad in an effort to mend ties with an Arab nation that the US sees as key to peace in the Middle East. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs William Burns said after the meeting with the Syrian president that their talks were open and productive and these talks covered areas of agreement, but also identified areas of common ground on which the two nations can build.
US President Obama has nominated a career diplomat to become America's first ambassador to Damascus since 2005 and Obama believes that Syria remains key to establishing peace with Israel, a priority for the Obama administration.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
Though America believes that Syria is the key to peace in the Middle East, the opposite is the case. Syria will make the first move against Israel in the next major war in that region of the world according to Bible prophecy.
Since the Six Day War in 1967, there has not been a true peace between Israel and Syria. The Yom Kippur War in 1973 was one example of Syria's aggression to take back the Golan Heights that Israel captured in the Six Day War. Recently, the Syrian President Bashur Assad said that his country would get the Golan Heights back through diplomacy or by military action. In an effort to develop better ties with Syria, the Obama administration has appointed a new ambassador to Damascus with hopes of seeing a peace agreement between Israel and Syria.
However, Bible prophecy indicates that it will be during a period of so-called peace that Syria will attack the Jewish state ahead of a coalition of Middle Eastern states to follow. The ancient Jewish prophet Daniel prewrote history 2500 years ago when he wrote that Syria, the King of the North in Daniel 11:40-42, would make the first move against the Jewish state to be followed by an alignment of nations to come to Syria's aid to destroy the state of Israel, Daniel 11:42-44.
No US ambassador in Syria will be able to stop Bible prophecy from being fulfilled.

The Israeli president tells the Egyptian president that Israel has no intentions of building a temple on the Temple Mount
At a meeting in Cairo, Egypt, Israeli President Shimon Peres told the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak that the Israeli government has no intentions of building a temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and he is sorry for the frequent rumors and lies that keep creating fabricated crises. Mubarak said that Jerusalem is not only a Palestinian problem but a pan-Arab problem and Israel will suffer if a just solution is not found for the final status of Jerusalem.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
The statement by the Israeli president that Israel has no intentions of building a temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem may be Israeli government policy but it contradicts Bible prophecy.
The continuing conflict about the status of the city of Jerusalem is always on any agenda of the meetings between Israeli leaders and other world leaders. Thus was the case when recently Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak hosted Israeli President Shimon Peres in Cairo, Egypt. Mubarak warned Israel that the status of Jerusalem is not only a Palestinian problem but it is a pan-Arab issue as well and especially the status of the Temple Mount. Over the years, there have been continuing rumors that Jews were going to storm the Temple Mount and build their temple on this sacred holy site. Most of these rumors originating from Moslem sources.
The claim by the Israeli president that the Israeli government has no intentions of building a temple on the Temple Mount may be correct but it indeed does contradict the prophetic scenario for the Temple Mount and the coming temple. 3000 years ago, the Lord promised King David that their would be a temple on the Temple Mount forever (Davidic Covenant - II Samuel 7). The Jewish prophet Zechariah revealed that the Messiah would come one day to build that temple (Zechariah 1:16; 6:12-13). The priest-prophet Ezekiel described the temple that Jesus will build in the future kingdom to come on the Temple Mount (Ezekiel 40-46).
Though the Israeli government has no intentions of building a temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, Bible prophecy says there will be a temple there and may be very soon. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The Israeli Prime Minister held meetings with Russian leaders to discuss major issues
The first official visit to Russia by Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu has the Israeli leader in Russia to discuss several major issues and on the top of the list the Iranian nuclear threat to the Jewish state. Russia has been more involved in the Middle East in recent days becoming once again the arms supplier to the Arab and Islamic world which included the transfer of nuclear technology and technicians to these Middle Eastern nations.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
An Israel Prime Minister meeting with Russian leaders to solicit help against Arab and Moslem enemies to the Jewish state is contradictory to the prophetic scenario for the end times that can be found in Bible prophecy.
For a number of years Russia has been involved in the transfer of nuclear technology and technicians to Iran in development of Iran's nuclear program that is on track to have a nuclear weapon of mass destruction sometime this year. At the same time, since the rise to power of Vladimir Putin in Russia, the Russians have increased their supply of military weapons in addition to the nuclear technology to additional Middle Eastern nations. Israel's big concern is is the delivery of the S-300 ground to air anti-aircraft missiles that Russia has sold to Iran. These missiles would most likely put a stop to any preemptive strike Israel might make against Iran's nuclear program.
This entire scenario is the scenario that is found in Bible prophecy for the last days. Ezekiel 38:2 mentions Magog as the leader of the coalition of Middle Eastern and Islamic states that will attack Israel in the beginning of the seven year Tribulation period. Magog is modern-day Russia. I say the beginning of the seven years of judgment because Ezekiel 38:8-11 indicate that this attack will take place during a time of peace in the Middle East, a major thrust of world leaders including Russia who would like to bring peace to the Middle East. The Ezekiel passage includes Iran as one of the coalition states to join Russia in the attack on Israel plus there are additional Arab and Moslem states that are mentioned.
An Israeli prime minister in Moscow to seek help for their prophetic enemies is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The Palestinian terrorist group Hamas plans to eliminate the Jewish state of Israel
A spokesman for Hamas, the Palestinian terror group, said that the Jihadist movement is loyal to Palestinian principles in its policy of terrorism against the Jews until Israel ceases to exist and said that any offer by the PA President Mahmoud Abbas to establish a Palestinian state, even with temporary borders, is rejected by Hamas.
Osama Hamdan, the Hamas spokesman, said the Hamas plan is based on obtaining a Palestinian state by force of arms, not by way of a grievance, a path which has failed and that Hamas will fight to eliminate the Jewish state of Israel altogether.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
The statement by Hamas, the Palestinian terror group, that they plan to eliminate the Jewish state of Israel, is a page out of Bible prophecy.
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been the focus of world leaders over the last several decades as they have worked to bring about a resolution to this conflict. However, the truth be known, as revealed in the recent Hamas declaration, the elimination of the Jewish state of Israel is a Palestinian principle. Both Bible history and prophecy confirm this Palestinian principle. In the book of Genesis, we have the record of the birth of Jacob and Esau, Genesis 25:23-26.
In Genesis 27, the account of Jacob stealing the birthright and blessing from Esau reveals that Esau then made a pledge to kill Jacob. History down through 4000 years has revealed to us the conflict continues even until today with Jacob, the Jewish people of today, and Esau, the Palestinian people of today, still in that conflict of 4000 years. Bible prophecy foretold of this conflict during the end times. Ezekiel, the ancient Jewish prophet, wrote that the Edomites, the descendants of Esau, the Palestinian people today, would want to kill the Jews, the descendants of Jacob, and then take the land that God had given to them, Ezekiel 35.

The Iranian leader claims that Iran is now a nuclear state
Speaking to tens of thousands of Iranians gathered in Tehran to mark the 31st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, the president, President Ahmadinejad, declared that Iran is now a nuclear state. Ahmadinejad told not only the cheering Iranians in the streets but he told the whole world that the Islamic Republic is now capable of producing weapons grade uranium and he said they have produced its first batch of 20% enriched uranium and they now have the capability to enrich to far higher levels at its Natanz plant.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
A declaration by the Iranian president that his nation is now a nuclear state should cause the world to wake up to the Iranian threat, a threat that was foretold by the ancient Jewish prophets.
The ongoing saga of whether Iran is a major nuclear threat to the world has come to the conclusion that they are a threat according to the most recent declaration by the Iranian President Ahmadinejad. On the 31st anniversary of the Islamic Republic in Iran the president announced to the world that Iran is now a nuclear state and they can produce weapons grade enriched uranium. At the same time, Ahmadinejad warned Israel that if they made a preemptive strike on Iran that Iran would finish off the Jewish state. These comments coming from the Iranian leader as world leaders are deciding on what to do with this nuclear threat in the Middle East.
Ancient Jewish prophets wrote over 2500 years ago that this type of scenario would be in play in the last days. The prophet Ezekiel mentioned Iran directly in Ezekiel 38:5 when he listed Persia, that's modern day Iran known as Persia until 1936, he listed Iran as one of the states that would align themselves against the Jewish state. Daniel and Jeremiah also mentioned other members of the coalition of nations to join forces against the Jewish state of Israel. The Psalmist in Psalm 83 even prewrote the often quoted statement of Iranian President Ahmadinejad that Israel must be wiped off the earth and her name forgotten forever (Psalm 83:4).

Jews in Jerusalem have raised millions of dollars to be ready for the coming of the Messiah
The Temple Institute in Jerusalem is leading the way in preparations to build the next Temple on the Temple Mount and most of every day this organization is preparing for the arrival of the Messiah in Jerusalem.
Yehuda Glick, the Executive Director of the Temple Institute, says the Temple Institute has become a fixture of evangelical tours in Israel and that largely to their donations, the Temple Institute has spent around 27 million dollars on the preparations for the next Temple to be built in Jerusalem.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
The Temple Institute in Jerusalem has raised the monies to make preparations for the building of the next Temple in Jerusalem and they believe that they could start building at any time, a fact that is confirmed by Bible prophecy.
For over twenty years, the Temple Institute in Jerusalem has been working to make ready everything needed to erect the next Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount. They have biblical harps, the menorah, the table of shewbread, the priestly garments, even the garments for the high priest and they know where the Ark of the Covenant is located as well. Yehuda Glick, executive director of the Temple Institute, says that we live in a day of miracles and all that is predicted in the Bible, which will happen on the eve of the end of days, could happen today or tomorrow.
Glick's statement is confirmed by Bible prophecy. Ezekiel 40-46 gives a description of the Messiah's Temple that will be built when the Messiah returns to Jerusalem. We know that because Zechariah 6:12 says that the Messiah will come back and build His Temple where He will rule and reign forever, Zechariah 6:13. However, the Bible also speaks of a Temple in Jerusalem before the Messiah's Temple as foretold in Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4 and revelation 11:1.
All preparations have been made for the next Temple to be built in Jerusalem. There's only one thing that must happen before the Temple is erected and that is the Rapture, when Jesus Christ will call all Christians into the heavens to be with Him forevermore.

Tony Blair says there could be Middle East peace within the year
The Middle East Peace Envoy for the Quartet (United States, European Union, United Nations and Russia) Tony Blair says an Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement could be reached within the year but only if all sides agree to peaceful negotiations. The former British Prime Minister said there is a great sense of hope and expectation in the Middle East after United States President Obama's recent outreach to the Islamic world, and if everyone would commit themselves to a two state solution, this peace deal could be in place within the year.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
The fact that the Middle East Peace Envoy, Tony Blair, says there could be peace in the Middle East within the year is a page out of Bible prophecy for the end times.
Following the recent speech by United States President Obama to the Moslem world, there has been expectation that there is indeed hope for some kind of peace in the Middle East. The fact that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said he and Israel would accept a Palestinian state howbeit a demilitarized state has also given hope to those working for a peace agreement between the Israelis and the Palestinians. Now, with Tony Blair's comments that there could be a peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians within the year, the peace process seems to be moving towards a deal.
This scenario is really a page out of Bible prophecy. The ancient Jewish prophet Daniel wrote of the revival of the Old Roman Empire which would be led by a world leader powerful enough to put this peace deal together. The prophecy of the Revived Roman Empire (Daniel 7:7,24) could well be fulfilled in the near future. The infrastructure actually is in place - that is the European Union. The world leader that comes from that political powerhouse (Daniel 7:8,24) could be the permanent president that is called for in the European Union's Lisbon Treaty. Daniel 9:27 does reveal this world leader will bring peace to the Middle East.

The Foreign Minister of Italy says if Europe does not have an army, the EU will become irrelevant
The foreign minister of Italy says his country will push for the creation of a European army after the new Europe takes shape, a result of all 27-member states in the EU adopting the Lisbon Treaty.
Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini says that with the Lisbon Treaty in force there is a risk that without a common foreign policy, Europe could become irrelevant in a world with China ruling the Pacific Axis and America in control of the Atlantic Axis.
Frattini believes a European army would cause the EU to develop a common foreign policy and then they could deal with issues like the Afghan War, the Iranian nuclear threat and all the rest of the problems in the Middle East.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
The call for a European Army is a step closer to the revival of the old Roman Empire, a unique aspect of the end times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.
With the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty by all 27-member states of the EU, this United States of Europe is at the point in history when they are ready to become a major power on the world scene. The EU has a common currency, the Euro and a legislative body, the European Parliament and with these both in place now, the call for a European army will put all the pieces in place to be the replica of the old Roman Empire.
Bible prophecy has called for a revival of the old Roman Empire from even before the Roman Empire came into existence over 2,000 years ago. The prophecy of Daniel revealed this pre-written history 2,500 years ago. When Daniel interpreted the dream of the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar, he described the ten toes of iron and clay as the revived Roman Empire, Daniel 2:30-45. In Daniel's own dream, the prophet saw the Roman Empire with ten horns as the revival of the old Roman Empire, Daniel 7:7 and 24.
The Lisbon Treaty makes the EU a major political, economic and governmental force and with a European army, all the parts are in place for the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

An international financial newspaper says that Israel is the main cause of Middle East problems
The Financial Times, a London based international newspaper, says, in its news coverage and its editorial pages over the last year, that Israel is the cause for all problems in the Middle East. The Financial Times believes the role of the Jewish settlements in Israel's Judea and Samaria, above any other single factor, is affecting the conflict and the newspaper, at the same time, downplays the other factors in the conflict such as terrorism and the political split between Hamas and Fatah, the two Palestinian factions.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
An international opinion forming newspaper says that Israel is the main cause for problems in the Middle East and they may be correct according to Bible prophecy.
The Financial Times newspaper, based in London, England, has been taken to task by a media monitoring organization about their bias reporting about Israel as the publication claims that the conflict in the Middle East is all Israel's fault. The main source of agitation is the Jewish settlement activity in the area of Judea and Samaria according to The Financial Times.
I must say that to some extent The Financial Times is correct. Israel's presence in the Middle East is indeed a cause for that conflict that continues to unfold day by day. With 23 Arab states surrounding the 1 Jewish state and a population of 350 million Arabs and only about 5 million Jews, this little state has become more and more of an irritant every day to the Arabs and the Moslems in the Middle East.
However, you must remember that the land of the Jewish state is God's land (Leviticus 25:23) and God has given the land to the Jewish people. The Lord, through His ancient Jewish prophets, said that there would be trouble between Israel and her neighbors (Joel 2, Ezekiel 35, and Isaiah 17 - plus many other passages). In fact, the armies of the world will gather at Jerusalem in the last days to destroy the Jewish state and it is at that time that Jesus Christ comes back to save His chosen people, the Jewish people.
The Financial Times is correct. Israel is the cause of the Middle East conflict and that is based on Bible prophecy - that will be fulfilled.

Syria's foreign minister tells Israel that if the two countries go to war, it will be an all out war
Syria's Foreign Minister, Walid al-Moallem, warned Israel recently that in case of war, his country would attack Israel's home front, the cities of the Jewish state and that it would be an all out war between the two nations. Moallem said that Israel must stop being the neighborhood bully.
The Syrian foreign minister's warning came in reaction to a statement made by the Israeli Defense Minister, Ehud Barak, who said, at a conference in Israel, that if an agreement with Syria was not reached the two countries might be dragged into a forceful confrontation that may deteriorate into an all out war.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
The verbal confrontation between Israel's defense minister and Syria's foreign minister is setting the stage for, as they say, an all out war between the two countries, which, by the way, is a page out of Bible prophecy.
For the last several years the tensions between Israel and Syria have been rising especially over the issue of the Golan Heights. Syria's President Assad has said that Syria will get the Golan Heights back either diplomatically or militarily. In fact, there is a large number of Syrian troops massed at Israel's northern border near Mount Hermon. There has been some diplomatic activity that gave a hint of negotiations resuming between Israel and Syria.
As of this moment nothing has developed along those lines. This prompted the Israeli defense minister to say if an agreement is not reached, war could break out between the two countries. An immediate reaction came from the Syrian foreign minister who said that if war breaks out, it will be an all out war and that Syrian war planes will take the war to Israel's home front, the cities of the Jewish state.
This report is indeed a page out of Bible prophecy, the prophecy of Daniel who foretold in Daniel 11:40-42 that Syria, in the passage referred to as the King of the North, will attack Israel. In fact, the Syrian attack on Israel will be the first move by an alignment of nations who will follow Syria in an attack on the Jewish state (Daniel 11:43-44, Ezekiel 38).

Palestinian TV features a ten year old boy who says he will liberate Palestine with his hands and his weapons
Palestinian Media Watch has footage of a ten year old Palestinian boy featured on Palestinian TV who is declaring that he will liberate Palestine from the Israeli occupiers with his own hands and with his weapons.
The footage was aired on the official PA TV news report recently and had the young Palestinian boy saying that Palestine was the heart of the Palestinian people which Itamar Marcus, the Director of Palestinian Media Watch, said that the footage was not as bad as the fact that the PA TV chose to broadcast it.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
A news story broadcast on PA TV that has a young ten year old Palestinian boy calling for children to use their hands and their weapons to liberate Palestine by using violence to defeat the Israelis is a page out of Bible prophecy for the last days.
Over the last decade, the Palestinian media has increased its usage of children's programming on TV and the use of children themselves to call for violence against the Jewish state of Israel as the Palestinians try to defeat the Jews and liberate Palestine for the Palestinian state. President Abbas of the PA has authorized such children's programming to use puppets and cartoon characters to incite violence against the Jewish state.
This present-day scenario fits the pattern for a last days scenario involving the Palestinians and the Jews in the conflict between the two. The ancient Jewish prophets prewrote history when they recorded the prophecies that foretell these types of end of times activities. Ezekiel wrote that the Palestinians would kill the Jews in the last days so they could take Jewish land as their own, Ezekiel 35. Malachi wrote that the Palestinians would return to power in Israel and set their own borders, borders that the Lord said would be borders of wickedness, Malachi 1. Obadiah wrote of the demise of the Palestinian people and Jeremiah 49 says that the Palestinian people would be as the people of Sodom and Gomorrah, people completely destroyed.

The United States State Department wants all Jews evacuated out of the Biblical lands of Israel
A top United States State Department official said recently that the goal of the United States in its negotiations in the Middle East is to pressure Israel to expel Jews from the Biblical lands of Judea and Samaria in Israel in order to end the occupation that began in 1967. William Burns, Under Secretary of State for political affairs at the State Department, said that the bottom line is clear - two states living side by side in peace and security, a Jewish state with true security and a viable independent Palestinian state that ends the occupation that has been in place for over 40 years.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
A call by the United States State Department for Israel to evacuate the Jewish settlers from Judea and Samaria is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
There has been an ongoing debate between Israel and the rest of the world about the Jews living in the area of Judea and Samaria, known to some as the West Bank, if there is going to be any chance of a peace agreement between the Israelis and the Palestinians. Israeli government after Israeli government has prolonged a decision on whether to concede to the pressure to remove the Jewish settlers and tear down these settlements. The almost 500,000 Jews who live in the area, many of them for almost 40 years now, say that they are not going to uproot their families and start all over again somewhere else in Israel. In fact, these settlers are determined to stay as they are no matter what the consequences.
Almost all of these settlers say they have a Biblical mandate to be living on this piece of real estate and they quote from the prophetic book of Ezekiel. These settlers are correct - the ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel did write 2500 years ago that God would give this land in particular to the Jewish people and that they would prosper on the land (Ezekiel 34 and 36).
These prophecies will be fulfilled, however, there is also Ezekiel 35 that will be fulfilled, a prophecy that says the Palestinians will rise up to take the land from the Jewish people. Even Ezekiel 37:15-23 foretelling two Jewish states in the region in the last days will be fulfilled. In fact, the stage is now set for all of these prophecies to be fulfilled in the very near future.

The Pentagon says US military strategies must focus on fighting mulitple wars
In a report released by the Defense Department, the United States military leadership says that they must focus on fighting a wide range of threats from cyber-attacks to terrorism and they have revised the previous objective of being equipped to fight two major conflicts at any time. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates says this new strategy accounts for threat such as cyber-attacks, Global Warming, and guerrilla style insurgencies, while at the same time, having enough men on the ground in the present war zones and any that may come up in the future.
The report says that the US military's top priority is to prevail in today's wars citing the need to dismantle terrorist networks in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
The new strategy plan for the United States military calls for dealing with multiple wars in our world today, a precursor to the end time prophetic scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.
Strategic planners at the United States Defense Department have revised their military strategy to focus on fighting multiple wars all at the same time. With the onslaught of cyber-attacks on the Pentagon and even in war zones the top brass in the United States military said they must be prepared to deal with what comes their way. As every day passes the threat of terrorism or even guerrilla style insurgency must be an intricate aspect present day strategy for the military.
This report is in line with the end of days scenario found in Bible prophecy. Jesus, in the most powerful prophetic message he gave while here on Earth, the Olivet Discourse, recorded in Matthew 24. Jesus said that there would be wars and rumors of wars with nation fighting against nation and kingdom against kingdom (Matthew 24:6-7). In the book of Revelation we see the prophecies that also describe a period of wars, a seven year long period with the major wars at the beginning of this period (Revelation 6:3-4) and at the end of the seven years (Revelation 19). Each of the other Jewish prophets, 17 of them, also reveal a similar scenario for the last days.
The new Pentagon strategy focuses on multiple wars - indeed it is a precursor to Bible prophecy being fulfilled.
