The chief of staff for Iran's President Ahmadinejad says that if Israel should attack his country over the nuclear issue that Iran would destroy Israel within a week and he added that the new sanctions if imposed on Iran would only harm western countries. Speaking at a political conference of radical Islamists in northern Iran, the former Vice President of Iran, Rahim Mashaei said that Israel should be destroyed because the Zionist regime is corrupt and criminal and is harming not only the Arab and Islamic world but all of humanity.
On a recent trip to Saudi Arabia the Iranian leader claimed that the annihilation of the Jewish state of Israel should be a global goal.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
The threat by an Iranian leader that his country can destroy Israel within one week should cause much concern, however, it is not possible that is according to Bible prophecy.
As a follow up to the Iranian President Ahmadinejad's statement that Israel should be wiped off the face of the earth, Ahmadinejad's chief of staff now says if Israel makes a preemptive strike on Iran's nuclear facilities, Iran will destroy the Jewish state within one week. As the world continues to take every opportunity possible to live with this present Iranian leadership, the radical leadership continues to ratchet up its threats against the Jewish state of Israel. This most recent threat by Iran of destroying Israel within one week is not only a volatile threat but an impossibility according to God's prophetic scenario for the Jewish state.
It is true that Iran will endeavor to destroy Israel in the future according to Ezekiel 38:5 and Psalm 83:4 but they will fail. Ancient Jewish prophets reveal God's plan for the Jewish people and there is no way that Israel can be totally annihilated.
The Abrahamic Covenant found in Genesis 15 guarantees that Israel will be a nation of people forever. The Land Covenant in Deuteronomy 30 states that the Jews will have a peace of real estate ten times the size of the state they have today. The Davidic Covenant, II Samuel 7, says that the Jewish Messiah Jesus Christ will reign over the Jewish people in their land from Jerusalem forever.
Israel will not be destroyed. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
