Gilad Shalit, an IDF soldier kidnapped over five years ago by Palestinian militants was recently released in exchange for the release of over one thousand Palestinian terrorists who were in Israeli prisons for acts of terrorism against Israel and many of these Palestinians have blood on their hands from the terrorist attacks.
There are concerns in Israel that the released Palestinian terrorists may strike again at the Jewish people and the state of Israel who the Palestinians claim to be the occupiers of their land and their state.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
The release of over one thousand Palestinian terrorists for one IDF soldier is evidence of the value that the Jewish people place on a life, but also it is a precursor to an end time scenario for the conflict between the Jews and the Palestinians as foretold in Bible prophecy.
Gilad Shalit, an IDF soldier held captive for over five years by the Palestinian terrorists, has been freed in exchange for over one thousand Palestinian prisoners that were being held in prison for acts of terrorism against the Jewish people. When the IDF failed to free Shalit from his Palestinian captors, the Israeli government started to negotiate for his release. Hamas, the terrorist group responsible for the kidnapping of Shalit, has said they will kidnap additional Israelis until they have all the Palestinians out of Israeli jails.
This action by Hamas is a page out of Bible prophecy for the last days. The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel wrote of a day when the descendants of Esau, the Palestinian people of today, would kill the Jews and take their land, Ezekiel 35:5-10. Malachi, another Jewish prophet, also wrote of how the Palestinians would come back to power in the last days.
They would start to rebuild and setup borders, but the Lord says through the prophet Malachi that He would call their borders the borders of wickedness and He will have indignation against these people forever, Malachi 1:1-5. The prophet Obadiah foretold of a time when because of the Palestinians killing the Jews and taking their land, they will be destroyed forever, as if they had never been, Obadiah 15-18.
