At least 70,000 Jews from Israel and around the world gathered at the Western Wall of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem recently to receive the traditional priestly blessing, a blessing that is given to Jews who make their way to the Temple Mount on one of the three pilgrim feast days as required for Jews in the Bible.
This pilgrimage to the Temple Mount is rooted in the Jewish tradition which saw Israelites ascend to the Temple in Jerusalem for ritual worship led by the high priest during biblical times.
Today, it is a symbolic gesture because there is no Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and many religious Jews pray daily for the Temple to be rebuilt, an event which could happen any time since all preparations have been made for the building of the next Jewish Temple in Jerusalem.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
Thousands of Jews gathering at the Western Wall of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem for the priestly blessings is a precursor to a scenario that has been revealed in Bible prophecy.
Jews from all over the world recently gathered at the Western Wall of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem as they did in biblical times so they could receive the priestly blessings. Over 70,000 Jews stood as the chief rabbis of Israel blessed the Jewish pilgrims and then all gathered there prayed for a Jewish Temple to be built in Jerusalem in the very near future. In fact, every time a Jew prays towards the Temple from any place around the world, they ask the Lord to restore the Temple to the Temple Mount, which has been the Jewish prayer since the destruction of the last Temple in 70 A.D.
The Bible promises a Temple in Jerusalem, a Temple given to King David in II Samuel 7 and it is the Davidic Covenant. The Messiah will return to Jerusalem to build that Temple, Zechariah 1:16 and 6:12. This Kingdom Temple, as I said, will be built by the Messiah, Jesus Christ. However, there will be a Temple in Jerusalem in the near future right there on the Temple Mount. Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4, and Revelation 11:1 are the prophetic passages that reveal there will be a Temple in Jerusalem during the Tribulation and all preparations have been made for that Temple to be built.
Thousands of Jews at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem to receive a priestly blessing is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
