Listen to Today's Program
Media mogul Rupert Murdoch, who is not Jewish, told attendees at an
investment conference recently that what was right for King David is
right for him, Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.
This conference, jointly sponsored by the Wall Street Journal which Murdoch owns, was the platform used by both Murdoch and the Israeli government to encourage investment in Israel.
Israel's finance minister reported that investments in Israel have
dropped this year due to the threat of war with Iran but Israel remains a
test case of a stable economy in a stormy global market.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
At a recent investor's conference, the media mogul Rupert Murdoch,
stated that if Jerusalem is the capital of Israel according to Israel's
second king, King David, then it was good enough for him, which also
agrees with Bible prophecy.
The question of whether Jerusalem is the capital of the Jewish state of
Israel has always been in the forefront of both the US and EU foreign
policy decisions over many years. In fact, almost every foreign nation
has their embassies in Tel Aviv, not Jerusalem which is the delegated
capital of the Jewish state. Time and time again, the US administration
has rejected the resolution of the entire Congress, both the Senate and
the House of Representatives, who have resolved to move the American
embassy to Jerusalem.
Politically, every Israeli PM since David Ben Gurion has said that
Jerusalem is the eternal, undivided capital of the Jewish state.
Prophetically, Israel's second king, King David received the Davidic
Covenant from God, II Samuel 7, when the Lord promised the Jewish people
that He would give them Jerusalem as their eternal capital. Psalm
132:13-14 states that the Lord will dwell among His people, the Jewish
people forever. Zechariah 1:16 says that the Lord will return to
Jerusalem and build His Temple there, a Temple where He will rule and
reign forever, Zechariah 6:12-13.
As it relates to Jerusalem, Bible prophecy will indeed be fulfilled.
