JD: On Independence Day, the 69th Birthday of the Jewish state of Israel, UNESCO one of the agencies of the United Nations announced that the Jewish people no longer have any connection to all of the city of Jerusalem not only the Old City but the whole City of Jerusalem does not belong to the Jewish people. Your comments?
WM: That’s really stretching the ability of any international
agency to be partners in any sort of facilitation of peace between us and the
Arabs. And I also direct your attention to the fact while they recognize Jewish
tradition the tomb of Rachel in Bethlehem and the cave of the patriarchs in
Hebron are declared Islamic Holy sites. So, it’s not only Jerusalem it’s
ripping the gut out of the essence of what the Jewish people are in history as
a people that began in Judea, and had a kingdom in Samaria, and had a capital
first in Hebron, and then in Jerusalem David was born in Bethlehem, Jesus was
born in Bethlehem. They were all Jews at the time. They were living in the
Jewish country practicing Jewish religion and culture. And this is what UNESCO
tells us does not exists has no validity. So this is really a world gone mad in
certain quarters things are really getting ridiculous in the so called house of
world peace and understanding.
JD: Winkie Medad with the background behind our lead story.
We report this information because it is setting the stage
for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
The Bible tells us that Jerusalem is the center of the
earth, that’s Ezekiel 5:5. The word Jerusalem is used 764 times in the Bible
and over in II Samuel chapter 5 God makes Jerusalem political capital of the
Jewish people. In II Samuel chapter 6 he makes it the spiritual capital when
King David brings the Ark of the Covenant into the city. And then God gave the
Davidic Covenant to King David, which made Jerusalem the eternal capital for
the Jewish people.
Zechariah 12:2 reveals that Jerusalem will become a cup of trembling
a city of controversy to be trodden down of the Gentiles, Luke chapter 21 and
24 until the Messiah Jesus Christ returns to Jerusalem to rule and reign
forever.
