In a meeting between two influence Middle Eastern leaders, President Mubarak of Egypt and King Abdullah of Jordan, the two men called for the stalled Middle East peace talks to be resumed as soon as possible.
Both President Mubarak and King Abdullah expressed support for a EU sponsored plan to fund the Palestinians while side-stepping the Hamas-led Palestinian Authority.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
A call by the leaders of Egypt and Jordan for Middle East peace talks to be resumed has great significance prophetically for the End Times, that is according to Bible prophecy. President Mubarak, a long time leader in the Middle East peace process, and King Abdullah, walking in the steps of his father, the late King Hussein, the Jordanian king is now somewhat of a peace maker as well in the Middle East.
These two Arab leaders have called for the resumption of the stalled Middle East peace talks, not only for peace in the region, but also because both countries, Egypt and Jordan, will be affected by the outcome of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Egyptian President Mubarak is continually in a fight with the Islamic element that is found among the Hamas-led Palestinian Authority and King Abdullah will be affected by any direction the Palestinians take due to the Jordanian majority Palestinian population.
This report is setting the stage for many aspects of Bible prophecy to be fulfilled. Daniel 11:40-43 mentions Egypt, the king of the South, as a major player in the Last Days. That same passage of prophetic scripture also reveals Jordan's part in Bible prophecy when it mentions Amman, Moab, and Edom, the biblical names for modern-day Jordan. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is discussed in Ezekiel 35, and the peace process is how the Antichrist comes to power as revealed in Daniel 9:27.
The call for the peace process in the Middle East to be resumed by President Mubarak and King Abdullah is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
